Drakken had been sulking for days, and Shego had tried everything to get him back to work. She brought him into the lab. She offered the idea of robbing a bank together. Hell, she even volunteered to go to karaoke night with him (which was sickening in itself). Nothing worked. All he did was pity himself, and it was getting on her last nerve.

She walked into the kitchen where she saw him sitting at the table with a cup of coco moo. He was staring into the mug as if it would give him the answers to all his problems. She sighed. "Drakken, I'm done. If you don't snap out of it now, so help me, I will melt this whole lair to shreds."

He pushed the mug away from himself and put his head down on the table. "I don't care," he mumbled.

She groaned. "Why do you even care, Doc? I thought you were just charming her to get her to help you." She poured herself a glass of water and sat down on the opposite side of Drakken at the table.

"You called it when you said I liked her," he mumbled, his head still on the table. She rolled her eyes. Okay, maybe she had teased him for liking Amy. In her defense, watching him woo her was hilarious. But did he actually like her? I mean come on, she wasn't exactly sane (but then she supposed, neither was he).

Shego took a deep breath and let it out slowly. "I think I know how you can win her affections."

His head rose from the table, and he met Shego's eyes. For once, he didn't find a hint of sarcasm in them. "How?"

She took a sip of her water before answering. "Last week when I did all that research on Amy before we teamed up with her, I saw on her Facebook page that she likes ballroom dance. Actually, she loves it. She never misses a class." He raised an eyebrow at her, clearly confused at where she was going with this. "Take her dancing, Doc. She'll love it! And it's romantic," she paused, disgusted with herself for even saying the R word. "You know, if you like that type of thing."

He groaned. "Shego, I don't know how to dance. Especially not ballroom! What even is that?"

"There's many different types of ballroom, Doc. I don't know all of them, but I can teach you how to Waltz."

His mouth fell open. "You know how to Waltz?"

She shrugged. "My father taught me." She looked down, not really wanting to talk about the logistics of how she learned to dance. She looked backed up at him to see him slightly smile at her. He wanted to ask her about her dad- she could tell by the look in his eyes- but he wouldn't. He wouldn't because he knew better. He wouldn't because he knew her so well that it almost hurt her to think about it. She got up from the table, shaking her head at her own thoughts. "Stand up."

"Huh?"

"Do you want to learn or not?"

"Oh right. Yeah." He stood up, pushing his chair in and then staring awkwardly at her. "I don't know what to uh. I'm not-"

She smiled before grabbing his hands. "The Waltz is known for its 1,2,3 counts."

He looked down at their hands, which were now intertwined. "What does that mean?"

Shego's voice brought his eyes back to hers. "It means you count 1,2,3 through the whole dance. Each move has 3 steps. 3 counts." She moved one of Drakken's arms so that his hand rested at the top of her back while she placed her free hand on his shoulder. Her other hand was still linked with his, and she extended their arms out. "You need to lead, so take a step forward. I'll move with you." He did as he was told, and she moved one step back as he moved one step forward. "Now move one step to the left," she whispered, and he did. "On the last one, our legs will come closer together as we move. Take a step backward." He did, and she moved her leg closer to his, making him clear his throat. She ignored his discomfort and kept going. "It's called the box step, move."

He looked down at their feet so that he could see which direction he needed to move, but she shook her head and used a finger to lift his chin up. When he was looking at her again, she moved her hand back to his shoulder. "Keep your eyes locked on mine."

He felt something tug on his heart. It's not that he didn't know she was a beautiful woman. That was obvious. It was just that he let himself become immune to her beauty and flirtatious strategies (that she used quite often to get her way). Well, he thought he had become immune. In this position, he could quite literally feel tingles from her attention run up and down his body.

"There you go," she said once he got the steps without taking his eyes off of hers. "Now, you need to drop our extended hands slowly and spin me. Once I make it fully back around to face you, our hand placement will go back to how it is now. Does that make sense?"

He nodded, but he was a little terrified of dropping her. He did as he was told, dropping the extending hands, spinning her, and bringing her right back to the original position. She smiled when he completed the task.

He kept practicing, and she was happy to let him. "So why did you learn to dance?"

"Dancing is the one of the most intimate things you can do," Shego said as she moved with Drakken. "That's what father always said, but I'm sure he just said that so I wouldn't be having sex at my junior prom."

Drakken laughed. "Did his evil plan work?" She smirked but didn't give a response, which made him all the more curious, but he didn't want to push her, so he dropped it."I think I'm getting the hang of this." He extended his arm in front of his body, spinning her further away from him and bringing her back to him flawlessly

She laughed. "You are, Doc." He laughed with her as their arms found their way back to their spots.

Without realizing what he was doing, he leaned closer to her, touching their foreheads. His eyes flickered to her lips, but he quickly found his way back to her eyes, asking for permission.

She moved her hand that was resting on his shoulder and found his cheek. She cupped his face, bringing him down even closer to her- their lips nearly touching.

Just as he was about to meet his lips to hers, Hank busted through the kitchen door "Dr. Drakken, we have a problem down in the-" He stopped when he saw Shego pushing Drakken off of her and brushing herself off while Drakken looked like he just saw a ghost. "Did I interrupt something?"

"Nygh! What is it, Hank?" Drakken felt his cheeks grow red. Shego wanted nothing more than to blast Hank to the moon, and she felt herself get hot at the thought of why she was so angry at him.

"There's just a problem with the boiler in the lab." Hank wanted to say more, but the anger on Shego's face stopped him.

"Of course. There's always a problem with that stupid boiler." Drakken followed Hank out of the kitchen and to the lab, and Shego was unsure if she should go with, but his words decided that for her. "Shego! Get ready to steal another part to fix this dumb thing!" She groaned but followed him anyway.

….

Drakken didn't quite know how he felt about taking Amy dancing after what happened with Shego, but he thought it might be a good distraction. She was ecstatic when he asked her to go to the ballroom class, but she casually reminded him that she was in love with Monkey Fist. "That's quite alright," he had responded to her. "I just thought you'd make the best dance partner." Even he didn't believe his own words, but here he was at a ballroom class with Amy, who he wasn't even sure if he liked anymore. (Could a kiss that didn't even happen change his mind?)

"There will be one dance assigned to each couple. If you want the style I call out, raise your hand. Whoever gets there faster will have that style," the instructor said. "Rumba." A couple took it. "Cha-Cha." Amy was about to raise her hand, but Drakken grabbed her wrist before she could as he shook his head. "Paso Doble." A couple took it.

"Waltz." Drakken nearly jumped out of his seat he raised his hand so quickly. "Waltz goes to Amy and Drakken."

"I didn't know you liked to dance, Dr. Drakken," Amy said as they both stood up.

He shrugged. "There's a certain beauty to dancing. It's the most intimate thing you can do." He felt a shiver go up and down his spine as he repeated the same words that Shego had said to him the day before.

Amy put a hand over her heart. "Oh Drakken. I couldn't agree more!" Amy put her hand on Drakken's shoulder, and he found the top of her back. Their other hands intertwined and extended outward. He took a step forward, bringing Amy with him, just like Shego had taught him.

"When did you fall in love with dance?" Drakken asked her.

"Oh when I was just a little girl! I was put in dance classes when I was young, but my meanie teacher said I wasn't very good, and my mother pulled me out. But I still love to dance!" He went for a spin, and when Amy came back around, her eyes grew. "Oh Drakken, you are so talented!"

There was no way he was talented after one lesson with Shego. Amy may like dance, but she clearly wasn't a dancer, which made it easier for him to screw up without her noticing.

They danced and talked for a while, but the longer he was here, the more uncomfortable he felt. Amy's hands didn't feel like Shego's. Amy moved blindly with him, not even attempting to give him corrections. And Amy agreed with everything he said, which was great in the aspect of world domination, but for a relationship? It almost seemed too- what was the word- easy. Was there someone out there for him that would put him in his place but also do what was best for both of them? Was there someone who would voice her own opinions and not let him get away with breaking boundaries but also protect him from harm's way? His face grew hot. Of course there was someone. She was just his employee and 10 years his junior.

Suddenly, he had no idea what he was even doing here. He had no business being in a dance studio when he should be at home. "I'm sorry Amy." He let go of her. "I have to go." Before she could speak, he was running for the door.

He arrived home, expecting her to be reading a magazine on the couch. When she wasn't there, he figured she had gone to bed early. He was a little disappointed, but being home filled him with joy. It felt right to be here with her. Wherever she was. It wasn't until he walked into the kitchen to get himself something to drink that he found the note.

Someone is paying big bucks to be tutored in villainy.

I'll be back in a few weeks.

Hope you had fun with Amy!
