American Dragon Up! Season 02 Episode 05
The others had finally come back and Jake was talking to them while looking annoyed as they were hanging out in the training room working on combat training against simulated enemies. He and Haley had used their tails to snatch up one of them and spin them around in the air hurling them towards Harrison and Den who'd thrown another enemy at them making the two collide and drop.
"I don't get it, why don't you just simply not go if you don't like it?" Danielle questioned after blasting another enemy that had tried to sneak up on the others.
"It's not that simple, dad basically forces us to attend." Jake then stated while dodging an attack and slamming into the attacker knocking them towards Raven.
Raven used her powers to redirect the enemy into the other two that were out adding to the pile they were building before saying "Well, if you don't like being forced to sit at the kiddie table then why don't you just take your own table to sit at for just you and Haley?" giving them the suggestion to simply not sit at the kiddie table at all.
"Or just y'know, not eat the food there and ditch to go to a diner or something." Harrison suggested before dodging another attacker and calling "Augerfrost!" blasting them in the back with an icy blue energy sending them over to the pile.
"Gonna be kinda hard to do that when you're on a private island." Haley then pointed out before then blasting an enemy with fire sending them over to Cujo wh'd bit down on their leg and shook them around violently before letting to and adding them to the pile.
"Ship, ShipShip Ship." Ship then spoke barking his name and extending small wings like that of his spaceship forms from his back gliding over and then changing into a mounted Gattling form before then starting to blast at the remaining enemies.
Jake and Haley just looked at them confused not really understanding Ship's baring yet though the gesture wasn't lost on all of them as Rose began to speak up saying "I think they're saying." as she'd stabbed her staff into the ground "That the two of you." She then kicked the enemy into the pile before pulling her staff back out "Can fly."
Ship then made his small mechamorph head appear on top of the gattling and nodded in response to what she was saying. before going back to shooting at the enemies with Den then speaking up asking "How did you even get away from your little spies anyway?" while dodging an attack then calling "Dragonfist!" and slammed his glowing fist into the enemy knocking them into the pile.
They'd managed to complete the training requirements and so Cherit set the training room to cut off saying "You guys have all done great today." while the simulation around them had shut off and the door re-appeared so that they could leave.
"Eighty Eight and Eighty Nine aren't exactly the sharpest tools in the shed I walked into a feminie shop at the mall that they wouldn't follow me into and then snuck out the back." Rose stated removing her mask and wiping her forehead.
"Mom might get mad if we sneak off, anyone got a table that would fit into a bag?" Jake then stated asking if they knew how to get something like that anyway.
"With or without chairs?" Harrison asked them making them look at him surprised that he actually already knew about something that could work.
We then cut to the reunion where they'd landed from the plane and walked out to head on over to one of the docks where they could get a boat. After doing so they'd traveled over the waters the rest of the way heading over to the island and docking the boat tying it by rope to the dock so that it wouldn't float away since it wasn't big enough to have it's own anchor. They'd gone up to the house where their Aunt had come out to greet them.
"It's good to see you again Suan." The woman had greeted Jake's mom before looking around and asking "And where's Uncle Lao Shi?"
"He's distracting my Johnathan for a few days." Jake's mom Susan answered about where her dad, Jake's grandfather had been since her husband didn't know about the whole dragon thing.
"Right, the nonmagical husband." her cousin spoke remembering that Susan didn't marry into a magical family like she did. Then looked to the others saying "Haley, Fu, you both look lovely, and Jake you've grown since I last saw you."
"Ya, well, time will do that to you." Jake responded with a shrug to what his aunt was saying not really eager to be there but at least trying to be pollite.
"Thank you Aunt Cathy." Haley spoke up being nice though honestly she didn't really wanna be there either.
"Well come on in and say hello." Cathy spoke letting them all inside and we see one of Jake and Haley's cousins coming over to talk with them.
"Hey guess what, I get the empty seat at the adults table this year because I just got my dragon powers, jealous?" they'd spoken to Jake looking smug trying to annoy them and make him jealous.
"Not really, you can have the cramped seat I've got other arrangements." Jake stated with a shrug while holding up something that looked like a white briefcase by a handle. He'd gone over to an empty spot that wasn't in use and unfolded it out revealing that it was a camping table that had built in seats for himself and Haley to sit down at.
"Don't you wanna try to fight me for being better than you?" their cousin questioned coming over while Jake and Haley were sitting down with their plates.
"Nope." Jake then answered with a shrug not really caring what they wanted.
"Not really." Haley answered too also unimpressed by them which only served to annoy their cousin more.
"Oh, so afraid to prove yourself huh?" they'd mocked trying to get a rise out of them however it didn't seem to be working.
"Greggy, I've fought all manor of enemies and defeated them all including a guardian sperpent not to mention the Huntsmaster and let's not forget the Dark Dragon." Jake spoke looking at them more just annoyed that they wouldn't leave him alone than anything.
"Not to mention we've befriended and worked together with some of if not the most powerful people on the planet." Haley then added about their friends also completely unimpressed.
"You.. That does it Dragon Contest right now!" the cousin named Greggy demanded from them with Jake and Haley both just shrugging in response.
We cut to them all on the beach and Fu Dog acting as Judge. "Alright three challenges best out of three wins since Haley you get the first challenge."
"Alright first test is Fire Breath." Haley spoke suggesting that they test their fire breathing abilities.
Greggy spoke changing into dragon form and blasted out a small fireball looking smug saying "Beat that."
Jake and Haley both called "Dragon Up!" as they changed into Dragon form too and Haley let out a fireball that basically swallowed Greggy's little ball and Jake then took a deep breath and blasted out blue colored flames that swallowed them both up and it'd caught them all off guard, including the rest of the family that were watching.
"Since when can you breath blue fire?" Haley questioned wanting to know how he did that exactly.
"I learned it from Fred." Jake answered as Fu Dog cleared his throat to get their attention.
"Jake is the winner of the first challenge and it's his turn to choose." Fu told them saying it was Jake who got to choose next.
"Alright next challenge Speed Flying. Once around the island first one to land back here on the beach wins." Jake then suggested as they prepared to go.
"Alright, Begin." Fu called and Greggy tried to fly but was slow making Jake and Haley laugh as they both easily passed him. They'd flown around the island and Jake touched back down on the beach first followed by Haley who was a little slower than he was overall as she'd also touched down.
"Wow, Greggy sure is slow." Haley spoke waiting for them but there was no sign of them so the two decided to take a few victory laps until Greggy could finally get to the end.
"My poing my point!" Greggy spoke after landing onto the beach "You both did more than one lap so you're disqualified."
"Uh no, exact rules were first one to do a lap around the island and tocuh down on the beach wins. Jake touched down after his first lap and so did Haley, what they do while waiting for you to finish has nothing to do with the challenges Jake wins again." Fu then stated to Greggy which had really gotten them annoyed.
A shark woman had appeared calling out to them and Greggy started attacking with the others encouraging it like a bunch of idiots and Jake blasted the sky with blue fire making them all stop as he and Haley flew over grabbing Greggy and stuffing him head first into the sand.
"Alright now what were you saying, who's after you?" Jake spoke asking the shark woman what was going on.
"There's a gang of rogue sharks who think we shouldn't be getting along with your kind, but please not all of us think that way. I was hoping you can stop them before they do anything serious." The shark woman had explained to them about what was going on.
"What are they after?" Haley questioned wanting to know more as Greggy dug himself out of the sand and went to try to start something but got slapped back into the sand by Jake's tail.
"They're after a legendary item said to be able to controll the deeps. Fortunately they won't find it without me." The Shark woman stated to them.
