The story bellow was suppose to be for Tangled, but i decided to rewrite it and translate for Little Mermaid.
Ok, as for the story, i wriote it picturi ng a scene taking plece after the 2023 version of the movie, however, feel free to imagine the 1989 version, if you haven´t watch the new one yet. And if So, picture the haracter of the queen as an OC.
Hope you like it

Sunrise, Sunset
Erick, the prince of the seaside kingdom, sat alone in his office, gazing at the tranquil sea. He resembled one of the marble statues adorning the palace, motionless and lost in his thoughts. Despite the sun setting on the horizon, his heart remained engulfed in darkness.
After a few minutes, he rose from his armchair and approached the window. Observing the people below, he noticed some wearing black armbands, a stark reminder of the reason behind his sorrow. Unbeknownst to them, Erick overheard a conversation between two chambermaids.
"Have you seen our prince? They say he will never find his way out of that room," a concerned servant remarked, unaware that Erik overheard their conversation.
"Be mindful of your words. He carries a heavy burden—a love lost. His heart longs for her," another servant cautioned, her voice filled with empathy.
Prince Erik refrained from chastising them, for they spoke the truth. He had become a captive of his memories, anchored to his grief. The sea, a constant companion in his solitude, mirrored his torment, as if the creatures beneath its surface could comprehend his plight.
Suddenly, the office door swung open, and Queen Selina, his mother, entered, cradling a small package in her arms. "Erick," she began, but the young man pretended not to hear.
"My son, two days have passed, and you haven't even cast a glance at this child—your daughter. I brought her here so you could hold her," the queen urged with a mix of concern and determination.
"Mother, please..." Erick attempted to protest.
"I understand your pain, Erick, and the journey ahead will be arduous for both of you. But right now, you must focus on your daughter. She needs you, my son, more than the kingdom, more than anything in these worlds," the queen scolded, placing the baby in Erick's arms. Her protective hand rested on his shoulder, offering support. "Who's to say that a man and a mermaid, together, would not create the miracle of life?" she whispered. "What will my granddaughter be called?"
"Melody," he whispered, his gaze fixed on the tiny bundle in his arms. "Melody, my little ray of sunshine." For the first time since that fateful night, a smile graced the prince's face, and tears of joy streamed down his cheeks. "Welcome to this world, my little mermaid. I love you more than words can express. I apologize for my behavior these past days. Your father has been a fool." He smiled through his tears.
He realized that the fragile baby in his embrace needed his protection, and he pledged to shield her from harm at all costs.
The sun had set on the horizon, enveloping the sky in a blanket of darkness, but inside the prince's heart, a new dawn had broken.
The sun now radiated with renewed warmth.
END.
