The sound of whistling filled the dock, accompanying a chill sunset wind, as Bob Bobowski casually strolled through the area. It was a quiet afternoon, and the day was ending. Bob was in a good mood, without having to worry about anything in particular. The ex-rapper smiled, reflected in his closed eyes, as his face was still obscured by the shadows of his hood.

Nobody bothered him, and that was alright for Bob. Who could possibly trouble him, especially on a day like this?

Just then, he heard a sound in his pocket, and Bob pulled out his phone. It seemed that someone was texting, or calling him. The screen showed the home menu, even as a red icon on the message app indicated Bob had gotten a message.

He tapped the message icon, and was taken into the app. However, the screen flashed a shade of gray-blue a second later, and a smiley face TV appeared.

'Hi, Bob.' A message read.

"HuH? WhAt ThE hElL iS tHiS aDwArE cRaP?" Bob asked.

'Are you interested in a deal?'

"DeAl? WhAt ThE hEcK, iNdUlGe Me." The ex-rapper was curious.

The strange TV ad vanished, and the screen showed a picture with a pile of money in it. Bob's eyes became dollar bill signs, already fascinated by the prospect of what this ad was offering him. Perhaps, he could use the money to benefit his hotel.

'You interested?' The TV asked as it reappeared.

Bob tapped on the yes icon, only to be taken to a rainbow-colored screen with a troll-faced TV in the middle. "Never Give You Up" started playing in the background, accompanied by laughter, and a gloved finger popped up on the screen as it pointed at the viewer. Bob was shocked, was this crazy popup trying to troll him?

"HeY!" He yelled, "GiVe Me MoNeY!"

'Would you like to see something hot?'

That troll-face screen vanished, and the TV thing reappeared. The smile-y TV moved aside, and a new image appeared on the screen, showing a pair of shapely bikini-clad women in a tidal wave. A title popped up: 'Free Summer Hot Babes, View Now.'

"Oh YeAh, BaBy, LeT's LoOk aT sOmE vErY hOt ViDeOs ShOwInG vErY hOt WoMeN!" Bob said excitedly, he tapped the ad...

...and ended up seeing a website full of nothing but skull symbols and virus icons.

'LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!'

"YoU wOt M8!?" Bob shouted angrily.

That TV thing cropped back up as his phone started acting wonky, laughing at the ex-rapper. The smiley face on the strange TV flashed to show a yellow face sticking its tongue out, then it turned into a laughing emoji complete with canned TV-like laughter. Bob's eyes flashed red; he was not having it with that stupid thing scamming him.

What game was the TV Adware trying to play with the king of the hood, did it enjoy scamming people for all sorts of sh*ts and giggles, it looked like it was getting its scam money worth out of trolling the likes of Bob.

"CoMe On, YoU sTuPiD pIeCe Of ShIt, DoN't F*** WiTh Me!" Bob shouted.

'I can make a virus pop up on your phone.'

Just then, the phone went to the home menu and a red light flashed. Bob watched as skulls appeared, and a battery warning appeared, despite the battery charge being in the 80s. The strange-looking TV popped up once more, gigging at Bob. And then, the screen flashed a strange color, and Bob angrily tapped the power button, deactivating his phone.

How ridiculous, how infuriating. Bob sighed, and turned on the phone. Luckily for him, all of his apps were still there, and those virus symbols were gone. He waited a few minutes, and fortunately, that TV thing did not come back.

But what had happened would be hard to forget, Bob had been scammed, and by an adware that had invaded his phone.

Sighing with slight sadness, the ex-rapper shut off his phone and walked away, looking to the sky, and rolling his eyes. Perhaps it would suffice to upload some anti-virus, anti-adware program into the phone, to ward off the likes of that stupid TV adware and prevent further scams. And being scammed, it did not make Bob feel good...

The End
