Time: 11:43 AM, Saturday, October 13, 2001, Bowser's Throne room.
'Man, I hope Larry's plan will work…' Bowser thought, pacing around in his throne room, 'Okay, quit worrying, Bowser, this plan is absolutely flawless. But if it is not, we should have our doomships hidden below a cliff, in case a step in Larry's plan goes wrong...'
Bowser's thoughts, however, gets interrupted by a sudden yell. The yell, for sure, matches a certain almost-as-mad-as-Iggy scientist.
"KING DAD!"
"Yes, Ludwig?" Bowser answered. The source of the noise then appears into view, standing by the throne room's door, "How is making a potion going?"
"It's going GREAT! Read ze effects zis potion vill have if consumed."
Bowser starts to read at the list, raising his eyebrows at some of the effects.
"Sleepiness, back pain, nausea, submissiveness, hallucinations... Sounds really rotten, Ludwig! Give the potion to Larry when you're done and tell him to IMMEDIATELY go out to find the Mario Brothers. I'll have to have a quick meeting with your other six siblings. You join in after you're done also."
Ludwig does a little salute and shouts, "Yes sir!"

Mario and company are in a random field, enjoying one of the rare autumn days the Mushroom Kingdom receives. The field, despite the location being about fifteen minutes away from Peach's Castle, seems to be taken care of, with green, cut grass and no sight of any sort of weeds. The group is sitting on a blanket with a giant bowl, a woven basket and a cake stand housing a red velvet cake covered in plastic wrap.
"These sandwiches are so good!" Toad applauded, giving Mario a congratulatory pat on the back. After the gesture, the mushroomer reaches into the basket to retrieve another sandwich.
"Glad to hear you enjoy it," Mario thanked. The plumber takes a pasta scooper, scoops out more pasta from the bowl and plops the spoonful onto a paper plate. As he puts homemade spaghetti sauce on the mound of pasta, the red plumber then gives the others a word of advice, "Just wait until you try Peach's cake. It will taste like HEAVEN."
Little did they know, there was a figure, hidden behind a few bushes, trying hard not to rustle the leaves or the bush itself as it spies on the picnickers.
"Oh Mario, just wait until you try Peach's cake. It will taste like your defeat!" Larry Koopa mocked in a whisper to himself. He pulls out a walkie-talkie and looks at the multiple doomships far off in the horizon.
"Larry in. The Mario Brothers and the princesses are here! I am sending over my coordinates. I need a minor distraction! Over," Larry informed in a hoarse whisper.
A few seconds later, Bowser answers Larry's plea. Hearing the walkie-talkie go off, the sneaky blue-haired spy turns down the device before his five victims notice anything odd.
"I am sending a fleet of paragoombas to that area. They will come by 12:15. Stay hidden, Larry! Do not go out until they are completely distracted and away from the area. Over," Bowser answered back.
"Roger. Larry out."
Larry looks at the time on the walkie-talkie: 11:57. Eighteen minutes to go, according to his father. He puts the walkie-talkie in his shell and waits to pounce.
Meanwhile, with the picnickers...
"Man, everything is so beautiful! I love autumn! There's so much red, orange and yellow! And look, there's even a weird blue plant over there!" Daisy yelled, pointing in the direction of the strange blue plant.
Larry immediately notices that the 'plant' Daisy was seeing is not a plant at all, but rather something different. Something blue of his that he did not want the picnickers to see.
"Oh shoot, I forgot to put my hair down!" he yelped in a startled whisper. As quick as he voiced the fright, the Koopaling stealthily hides his hair from view before the rest of the group manages to look at it. Unimpressed by not seeing any blue plant, Peach, Mario, Luigi and Toad resume to eating.
Larry is beating up on himself for almost being caught. How could a master spy like him forget that simple step? Note to self, DO NOT LET ANYTHING OF YOU SHOW.
After a few minutes of a quiet tantrum on Larry's part, a swarm of paragoombas come down, heading towards the Mario Brothers. In Larry's eyes, it looks as if Bowser's distraction is now taking place.
"Look out Mario! Paragoombas! EEEEEK!" Peach screamed, running away from the incoming swarm with Toad.
Mario, Luigi and Daisy, however, hold their ground. Mario and Luigi begin to jump on the intruders while Daisy starts to hit them with one of the bags containing the plasticware. As fast as the paragoombas came, they start retreating.
Daisy is the first to retaliate after seeing the flying goombas retreat, "Mario! Luigi! Let's chase after them!"
The two loyal, heroic plumbers, however, tell her to ignore them; they are retreating and will no longer be a problem. Seeing the immediate threat scouring away, Toad and Peach go back to the other three.
Behind the bushes, Larry was upset with the failure, "Rats! That distraction didn't work!"
He pulls out his walkie-talkie again, desperate to get another diversion of some sort; something that will last longer than two minutes, as well as throw off the characters.
"Larry in! Paragoomba distraction failed, King Dad! We need a bigger distraction; a bigger distraction that will last longer!"
"Calm down Larry, we will get them. I'm sending your seven siblings over there. Stay hidden; do not join them at all! And stay silent!"
Less than a minute after, a large flying bowl with leaf-shaped propellers at the bottom and a giant clown face painted on the front of it flies by. In it houses all seven of Larry's siblings.
"The Klown Khopper! About time!" Larry silently exclaimed.
Toad, however, also sees the Klown Khopper approaching. Unlike Larry, Toad sees nothing to be excited about, but rather to be concerned. The mushroom decides to inform everyone of the unfortunate news.
"Look out! Bowser's clown car is here!"
By the time all seven Koopas jump out the car, the picnickers are ready to deal with them. Unlike other times, the Koopas do not appear to be afraid of the humans and fungus.
"The Mario Brothers!" Lemmy screamed.
"We will defeat you this time!" Roy shouted.
"You both fixed your last toilet, plumbers!" Morton yelled.
"Yeah! Let's finish this so I can do my makeup!" Wendy said.
Bowser Jr. also piped in. "And I will get my Mama Peach back!"
"She's not your mother!" all the characters, save for Peach and Larry, shouted at him, causing Bowser Jr. to shrug in defeat.
"Enough of the crap talk, Koopalings, and let's get this going!" Luigi shouted. He and Mario pulls out a Fire Flower.
The Koopalings, undaunted, rush towards the Brothers to attack them. Possessing a bit of fear over the vicious Koopas dashing towards him, Mario shoots a fireball at Iggy as quick as he can, causing the demented Koopaling to run around the meadow screaming. After a bit of running and eventually rolling, the fire is put out, and the winded Iggy collapses in front of his siblings. Black burn marks are on the bottom of his shell, as well as his tail appearing to be a bit singed.
"Do you idiots want some too? Or do you want to get your ugly shells out of here?" Luigi yelled.
The Koopas, seeing they have no useful weapons, finally decide to give up.
"We are leaving, fatty, but before we do..." Roy said.
While Lemmy helped Iggy get up, Ludwig sneaks over towards the group. Before the Mario Brothers or the princesses can react, the eldest Koopaling grabs hold of Toad. The Koopalings then dash off with the frightened retainer, causing all four characters to chase after seven of their archenemies.
Seeing Mario, Luigi, Peach and Daisy run after them, Larry uses this time to spread the potion all over Peach's cake.
"Good fight, plumbers! It looks like we got the better cards this game!" Larry said to himself with a smile. After his message, the Koopaling hides behind the same bush to make sure the cake is consumed.
Meanwhile, Bowser is pacing around in the doomship, with no one around but a few guards.
"I hope my kids are doing well…" he repeated for possibly the 35th time.
He is not concerned whether his other seven children can beat the Mario Brothers, but rather if the Mario Brothers are distracted well enough for Larry to do his part of the plan.
"These are my kids we are talking about. That means they'll succeed!" Bowser hoped.
"Give him back you filthy freaks!" Daisy yelled. The Mario Gang is still chasing the Koopas, desperately trying to get Toad back from the grasps of the Royals of Dark Land.
That outburst is to no avail; the Koopas keep running, picking up speed every passing second.
"Why the heck did I wear high heels?!" Wendy mumbled as she keeps running.
Eventually, the Koopas reach a huge, steep, vertical cliff that they nearly run off by accident. Ludwig, to the shock of the Mario Gang, drops Toad. Before Toad or the rest of the group can react, all seven Koopas turn to the left and continue running close to the edge of the high cliff.
"What about da klown khoppa?" Roy asked.
"Ignore zat piece of machinery- our good health is in jeopardy!" Ludwig uttered.
"Family Feud seems to fit better than Jeopardy."
"Hardy har har Lemmy," Ludwig sarcastically laughed as the Koopalings disappearing in the horizon.
Seeing the figures of the Koopas shrinking smaller and smaller, Mario and Company check up on Toad. The gang worry about him as if he has some serious, life-threatening disease.
"Are you okay?"
"Oh my gosh, Toad! Please tell me you're okay!"
"I'm fine, I'm fine. Really, guys. Besides that initial fear, I'm just worried about the Koopas. It is not like them to give up like that, without a fight."
"… Yeah, come to think of it, that is odd... We need to be on our toes at all time; we do not know what is up their sleeves," Mario replied.
"Or, up their shell," Luigi cracked a funny. They all giggle and laugh until the desert princess asks an important question.
"Anyway, where were we before we were so rudely interrupted?!" Daisy asked.
"… Oh no! The cake!" Peach cried, "I worked hard on it, and we didn't even eat it yet! What if ants get on it?!"
Toad shakes his head. "Y'all worry too much."
With that, the Mario Gang rushes back to their picnic spot.

"We got them distracted. Repeat, we got them distracted. They quit following us after Ludwig dropped Toad. We are heading back to the doomship now. Over!" Morton, who was the only one of the group that remembered to bring one, said in his walkie-talkie.
Larry is the first to respond with his input, "I also used the potion on Peach's cake. You know they cannot resist eating her creations. The princesses and plumbers are arriving! Over."
"Great job distracting them! We will win in a few minutes! When you seven get onto the doomship, we will pick up the unconscious forms of our enemies. Bowser out."
"Larry, make sure to watch them. Do not let them get out of your sight until they eat the cake. Give us the call and we will pick them up. Morton out."

"Well, I wonder what THAT was all about," Mario wondered, the characters approaching the picnic area once again. Greeting them is the red velvet cake, sitting there in perfect condition.
"Well, whatever it was, it's over! Let us eat cake!" Toad exclaimed.
The group cheers as Peach dishes up the cake onto five paper plates. After each character receives their cake, they start to enjoy the great flavor of both the cake and the cream cheese frosting. Daisy closes her eyes in bliss, swallowing her bite of cake before turning to Peach and commenting.
"Oh my gosh, Peach, I forgot how good your cakes are!"
"Well, that is one of the things I'm well-known for. The other thing is my happy personality, my kindness, and me being kidnapped, but let's not talk about that one," Peach said, a bite of cake entering her mouth soon after.
"Wow! I could get fat off of this stuff though!" Daisy continued.
Luigi agrees with her, polishing off the last piece of cake on his plate. After the plumber finishes his piece of cake, he yawns.
"I suddenly.. got the urge.. to sleep...," he complained, collapsing on the ground following his statement.
Toad agrees, "Wow… Let me lay down... and close my.. ey.."
The fungus falls asleep immediately, with Mario, Peach and Daisy following his lead.

Larry marvels as each picnicker collapses on the ground, with little more than half of Peach's mouthwatering cake remaining. He pulls out his walkie-talkie and holds the TALK button.
"Larry in! They are down! Repeat, they are down! Sending my coordinates! Larry out!"
A brown object casts its shadow around Larry's area, with a noise as loud as a jet broadcasting from the flying vehicle. As Larry plugs his hears, he recognizes it to be the doomship; his dad's own doomship. It soon lowers to the ground and his family comes out.
"Tie them up! Throw them in the doomship and put them into the dungeon when we get home!" Bowser said. After his command, the King of the Koopas grabs a piece of cake and starts to consume the pastry.
'I wonder if they will notice if I have a piece of that cake…' the Koopalings thought to themselves.
'Yeah, that cake is pretty tempting...' Ludwig thought to himself.
'I'm sure I didn't put any potion on this side of the cake… Nor on the side that King Dad just ate,' Larry thought.
The next thing Bowser notices is all eight of his children collapse on the ground, knocked out just like the Mario Brothers, then princesses and Toad.
Bowser sighs in agony, "Oh great. Well, at least we won this time," he muttered before he himself collapses.
