Shego laid down on the bed the second the guard locked her back in her cell. Amy watched her, confused. "Did Drakken's evil plot to get you out not go according to plan?"

She ignored her. The last thing she wanted to do was talk about Drakken. Hego had opened up her eyes to all of her feelings, and since she had spent so long ignoring them, they came crashing down on her all at once. She wanted him, and not just in a lustful way like she had wanted him before. She wanted to cuddle him at night when he talked about his deepest fears. She wanted to go out on dates with him. She wanted to kiss him when other people were around. She wanted to make love to him instead of just screwing him like they had been doing. She wanted to hold his hand for no reason at all, and she wanted him to hold her just because he could. She wanted to comfort him when he felt defeated. She wanted to watch a horror movie with him and cover his eyes during the scary parts because she knew if he watched it, he wouldn't sleep for a week. She wanted him in his entirety, and it made her sick.

How did this happen? How did she get here? What if he doesn't reciprocate those feelings? What if it was just sex for him? Her thoughts made her so physically ill that she had to get up and rush to the bathroom, where she violently threw up.

"Are you alright in there?" she heard Amy call, but she once again ignored her. She was thinking too much, and it made her head hurt and her heart ache. She felt her chest tighten as tears began to resurface in her eyes. She quickly sniffled and shoved the tears back in. No way was she going to cry in front of DNAmy. She didn't want to think anymore. At this moment, she was grateful that she was far away from Drakken. If she saw him, she would break. This time away from him would do her some good. It meant that she could get a handle on whatever it was she was feeling. Maybe she could embrace it like Hego suggested. Or maybe she could squash it. Either way, she was grateful for his absence.

Drakken was sick of fighting Lucre to shut his trap. For the love of everything, he was driving him mad. Lucre talked about escaping so many times, but none of his plans made sense. "How about you break us out?" Lucre asked.

Drakken gritted his teeth. "How am I supposed to break us out when I am also locked up?"

Lucre shrugged. "You're the genius here. Maybe you can clone yourself, and your other body could break us out."

Drakken groaned. How could Lucre be so stupid? The incompetence of this man just made him miss Shego. She would never say something so ludicrous. She probably had her own plan to escape, and then surely she would come back for him, right? Of course she would. She was lippy, but they were friends. Or more than friends. Or whatever the hell it was they were.

He sighed into his pillow. He had never been away from her for this long, and his heart ached to hear her laugh. He ached to hear her mock him about some idiot plan he had or about something he liked. He ached for her touch (even if it did burn him occasionally). He ached to hear her sing in the shower, and he ached to dance with her. And while Lucre kept going on and on about his stupid ideas, deep down in the marrow of Drakken's bones, he would continue to feel her absence.

Amy had taken the hint to leave her alone. Another month had passed, and Shego had hardly said a word to her. It didn't matter what Amy did; instead of snapping at Amy like she normally would have, she just didn't say anything. When a couple of the guards came by to drop their food off, she spoke her first words that day. "Can we just leave the chains off please? I'm not going to do anything."

The guards looked at each other and then back at Shego. They took in her form. She'd lost some weight, and her eyes looked heavy. She was being tortured. By what, the guards couldn't say. Amy jumped in. "Guys, she really isn't going to do anything. She's been moping around for weeks. I think she just wants to be able to itch a scratch without having to ask permission."

Shego gave Amy a small smile as the guards nodded in agreement. "Fine, but if you try anything Shego, I swear we will-"

"I won't," Shego interrupted. They unlocked her chains, and she let her hands move. She curled and uncurled her fingers. She lit and unlit her palms. The guards and Amy all backed away the second her hands ignited, but she let the fire die just as quickly as it started. "Thanks," she whispered as she took her food and sat on her bed.

The guards looked back and forth at each other, but shrugged and left the two cellmates alone. Shego and Amy sat in silence for a moment as they ate. "You didn't have to do that," Shego finally said.

Amy smiled. "Yeah, well I thought you might need a helping hand. You haven't really been yourself." Shego didn't answer her, so she kept talking. "No sarcastic comment? No lippy remark? No threat? What has happened to you?" Shego just shrugged, not engaging in Amy's tactics to get her to speak. "Have you finally given up? Are you destined to be in this cell forever?"

Shego groaned. "I liked it better when you weren't talking."

Amy grinned. "Now that sounds more like my roommate." Shego cracked a smile at that but otherwise didn't acknowledge her. "You've been like this since Drakken came to visit you, so spill. What gives on the depression?"

"Drakken didn't come to visit me," she mumbled. She regretted saying it. She didn't want to talk about Drakken or Hego or anything else.

"Oh? Then who-"

Shego dropped her fork on her plate. "My brother. Now, will you drop it please?"

Amy didn't drop it. "Oh, you have a brother?"

"I have 4, actually." She didn't know why she was indulging in this conversation. She guessed she's been a little lonely lately, and Amy, who was always so incredibly talkative, had kept her trap shut for weeks when Shego stayed silent. She supposed it was time to lighten up a bit.

"Wow, 4 brothers. That must have been rough growing up."

"It was Hell." Amy laughed, and it wasn't long until Shego joined her. It felt good to laugh, and for once, Amy wasn't being annoying.

"So, why have you been depressed since your brother's visit?"

Shego frowned. Why couldn't they just have a good time? Why did Amy have to be so nosey and try to pull information out of her. "I'm not depressed."

"Oh come on, Shego. We both know that's not true. You've-" Amy stopped when Shego's hands ignited.

"Three words for you," Shego growled. "No more chains."

Amy laughed nervously. "On second thought, maybe it is none of my business."

Shego smirked. Yep. She's definitely missed this, she thought as she let the fire in her hands die.

….

Shego was alone. Amy had tried to get her to the cafeteria, but outside of going to the gym, she had no interest in leaving the cell. (She didn't want to risk running into Drakken. It's been a month and a half since she admitted her feelings to herself, but she wasn't ready to see him- not yet.) She had been flipping through a magazine (enjoying having the use of her hands back) when she heard a ticking noise.

She looked around, but there was nothing out of the ordinary. Suddenly, the wall beside her exploded, and she squinted at the brightness of the sun that she could now see. A helicopter with a ladder hanging down came into her line of vision, and she heard a familiar voice. "Let's go, Shego. We're getting you out of here." She knew that voice. She had taught everything he knew. Junior.

She looked to the other side of the cell, where she expected a guard to be rushing to subdue her, but there hadn't been. She promised them she wouldn't do anything with her powers, but she hadn't. She had nothing to do with this. She grinned as she jumped on the ladder and climbed up into the helicopter. "Junior, what are you doing?" she asked as she brushed herself off.

He quickly flew the helicopter away from the prison. "I need your help with something, and I-" he paused for a moment. "Oh shoot. Do you want me to go back and get Dr. Drakken out, too?"

She thought about it for a second. She should go back for him. He would do it for her, but she didn't want to see him. She didn't want to be nice to him. She wanted to be left alone, and she wanted to never think about those feelings again. "No," she finally said. "Let's just get out of here."
