There wasn't too much she could say in a situation like this, she knew that already. Tea look around the dinner table, her friends are talking animatedly and having a great time. It had been so long since they had all come together like this.
Growing up had come with new responsibilities, work and school taking them further away from each other. This was a well needed break.
Tea looked at Mai who was speaking to Serenity, her eyes would still linger on Joey whenever he piped in, his loud-mouthed attitude had been taken a few pegs down, the harsh realities of life had worn him down. He worked for a games company now, as a coach, helping kids from impoverished backgrounds, like himself get their feet through the door, but also offer a safe environment. His hair was shorter now and his shoulders a bit wider.
The two Yugi's sat next to each other, they looked like twins to the naked eye, but to the people who had been around them during the most difficult times of their young lives, they couldn't look any more different from one another. Yugi still retained his youthful eyes and cheeks- the baby cheeks didn't seem to want to disappear now, even with all them aging closer to their mid-twenties. He caught Tea's eyes and smiled sweetly.
"Hey, you've been quiet so far. Is everything okay?" he asked.
Yami's eyes diverted from his food towards her for a quick moment- too quick. They were gone, like his interest, just as quickly. Tea could feel her face become warmer, embarrassment she was masking with a smile of her own. "What? Of course I'm okay, I just can't believe we're all together." she said softly.
"Yeah, it's about time you made some time for us." Tristan said from beside her, nudging her arm. "Man, here I was thinking Kaiba was rubbing off on you."
"Oh hey, it's not like that." Tea said, flustered now her cheeks did tinge pink. She looked down at her plate, focused on her greens. "Kaiba has.. really changed."
She could feel Yami's heavy gaze on her, looking up quickly, she found she was wrong. He was looking at his phone.
"Well, I think it's great." Yugi answered. At one point in their life, he might not have thought so, but he had out grown his childhood crush for Tea long ago. "I also think we shouldn't leave it so long next time to all catch up."
"Definitely not." Tea smiled.
