Drakken and Shego returned to the lair to retrieve his design for the killer plants. She smirked at him as she plucked one of the flower pedals off of his neck. "So you and your little plant potion are going to save the world?"
He frowned at her. "That's right! This time, for the first time, victory will be mine!"
Shego smiled at him. "I really hope you're right, Doc."
He smiled back at her and lifted his hand to move a strand of hair from her face. "Shego, about what I said in the spaceship-" A rock hit his head. "Ow. What the-" Not a rock. Part of his ceiling.
Shego's eyes grew wide. "Dr. D, move!' She slammed her body into his, forcing him to move before the alien robot could hit him. The plant mutation went flying, and Drakken chased it down, nearly getting killed by the robot once again before Shego flew in and grabbed him by the collar of his coat, dragging him out of the lair.
Shego started the hovercar and immediately began to drive. The wind was strong, and Drakken gripped onto his plant potion for dear life. "Can you slow down?"
She shook her head. "No time. Possible won't be able to fit off the Lorwardians by herself for long."
Drakken sighed. She was right, and he found it incredibly irritating that 12 hours ago, he would have loved to watch the demise of his teen foe, but now, he did want to help her. Of course, he was doing it for his own selfish reasons, but he'd be stupid to deny the significant role Kim Possible played in defeating the aliens. He gripped onto his potion tighter as Shego drove into the sky.
….
Drakken had used his plant potion on the alien robot technology to obey him and attack, causing all of them to collapse. While Drakken flew the hovercar away from the scene to spray his potion on all the robots across Middleton, Warmonga and Warhok stood shocked for a moment that their advanced technology could be destroyed by flowers. All this did was piss off Warhok, and both aliens went for attack. Shego looked at Kim. "You take care of tattoo boy. Warmonga is mine."
Kim smirked. "She really got under your skin, huh?"
Shego smirked back at Kim. "The only person that gets to torture Dr. D. is me, and it's about damn time She Hulk over there learns her place."
Kim smiled as she nodded. "By all means. Go right ahead." Kim went after Warhok, leaving Shego to fight off Warmonga.
Warmonga went for a hit, but Shego flipped over her fist just in time. Shego threw plasma blast after plasma blast, but Warmonga had been able to dodge every one. She smiled at Shego's attempts to hit her. "Do you actually care so much about your little planet that you would be willing to die for it?"
Shego growled. "I don't give two shits about what happens to this planet. But this," she gestured at Warmonga. "Is personal."
Warmonga smirked. "You really do love the great blue imposter, don't you?"
Shego rolled her eyes. "Yeah. You're right about that." She threw a plasma blast that hit Warmonga hard enough that it flung her back. "Now, why don't you just go home before you end up dead?"
Warmonga laughed as she stood up. "Your earthly optimism is cute, but you're wrong. You can't compete with our strength and technology."
Shego smirked. "The same technology that got bested by a flower?"
Warmonga gasped and hit Shego so hard that she went flying. "No one insults us!" Warmonga jumped on a flying rocket. "For Lorwarida!" She said as she went for Shego.
Shego jumped up, adrenaline running through her body. "Forget it!" She blasted the rocket in half, causing Warmonga to fall into the flowers, trapping her in their tangled web as they gripped onto her tighter.
Shego met up with Kim and Ron, who were just finishing up with Warhok. "Well that was fun," Kim said. "But we really need to graduate."
Shego rolled her eyes. "And leave us with clean up duty? No way!"
Kim smirked. "But you really could use the time to talk to Drakken about everything. You know, your feelings and such."
Shego groaned. "You really are a piece of work, princess." Kim gave her the pouty dog face, and Shego sighed. "Just go."
Kim smiled, but it quickly faded when Warhok smacked Shego, sending her flying until her back hit a rock, knocking her out cold. "Did you really think we could be taken out by flowers and a couple of kids?" Warhok asked.
Ron smiled. "I am not a child. Check your calendar. It's graduation day." He went after him, but he was quickly knocked down, taking Kim with him. Warhok picked Kim up, and that is when Ron lost it. It was time to defeat these aliens monkey style.
…..
Drakken returned to the scene to find the aliens gone, their limbs scattered across the road. Draken smiled. Shego did it. She and the Possible team did it. They saved the world. His face fell when he found Kim and Ron leaning over Shego, trying to wake her. He quickly jumped out of the hovercar and ran to them. "What the hell happened?"
He gasped when he saw her. She was unconscious, and her blood covered the rock behind her. Kim lifted Shego's head slightly. "She did fantastic, Drakken, but there was an accident."
Drakken shook his head and moved his way around Ron, practically pushing Kim from her spot so that he could hold Shego's head up. He didn't want to cry in front of the teens, but he couldn't help himself from sniffling as tears fell down his face. "No, no, no. You don't get to die, Shego. I did this for you. You think I actually cared about saving the world? All I wanted was to save you." He repositioned her so that he could hold her entire body in his arms, and he rested his forehead against hers. "Please wake up."
Shego could hear him, but she couldn't open her eyes. She couldn't respond. Part of her didn't even want to wake up. Warmonga had been right. She deserved everything she got today. 57 people. She killed 57 people. All of them had someone like Drakken. Someone that they wanted to go home to everyday, and she had taken that away so many times. She had been careless with so many people's lives, and for what? So that she could have a little fun and assert her dominance? She didn't want to face the world anymore. She didn't want to face what she had done in the name of evil. Why couldn't she steal and have fun without the murder? She always took things too far- she's always been like that; she supposed she shouldn't be surprised with herself. Maybe the world was better off without her in it.
But then there was his voice in her ear. She could feel his head against hers. She could hear him sobbing, pleading with her to wake up. "Please come back to me, Shego. I love you. I love you so much. Please wake up."
She didn't deserve his love. She didn't deserve happiness. He could find someone else to love him. Someone better than her. Her mind went to their past: meeting him for the first time, losing control when she got so angry with him only to return home two weeks later to sob in his arms, teaching him to waltz, teasing him when they followed Kim on her date, sleeping in his bed when he was sick in case he needed her, the first time they slept together, each time she accidentally burned him when they made love, her coming to terms with her feelings, her leaving him just because she couldn't deal with those feelings, her telling him it was easier when they were just friends only for her to seduce him a few months later because she was jealous, her kissing his bruises and snuggling up next to him to make him feel better, her risking everything to save him because she loved him.
Then her mind spiraled to a possible future with him: dancing in the rain with him, cuddling next to a fireplace with him while they drank coco moo, kissing him when he least expected it, going on actual dates with him, telling him exactly how she felt, saying those same words he was sobbing to her at this very moment. And that future was enough for her to fight. She groaned as she slowly opened her eyes.
