Hey guys, sorry for the radio silence! I promise I'm working on some other chapters of several different stories. In the meantime, I would recommend reading some of Myra109's stories. They're really amazing.
Again, so sorry for the slow updates, but here's some Percabeth fluff. Hope you enjoy, I love you all so much and stay safe besties!
Percy pushed open the door to his apartment, chatting to his friends Alec and Harry.
"This is a really cool place," Alec said, looking around admiringly. "Do you live with your mom?"
"Nah, she lives nearby though," Percy said, shaking his head. "Should we go order some pizza?"
"C'mon, Perce, you know us. When would we ever say no to pizza?" Harry joked, shoving him playfully.
Percy laughed. "I'll go order two margarita pizzas. If you want, you can just go through to the living room just there. I'll be right back."
With that, he entered the kitchen, and they heard him start to talk over the phone.
Alec and Harry stood there awkwardly to a second. "Should we-" Harry began, gesturing to the door on his left.
"Yeah," Alec agreed, and they made their way to the living room, flopping down on the couch.
Alec looked around the room. It was fairly small, but cozy, with pictures in frames on the shelves and a gaming console opposite the couch.
"Who's that girl in the photographs, d'you think?" Harry asked suddenly.
Alec looked at the pictures a little closer, and finally realised who he was talking about.
In almost every single picture, there was a pretty girl of about the same age as Percy. She had curly blonde hair which fell to just past her shoulders and, from what Alec could see, her eyes were a stormy grey colour. She wore a necklace similar to Percy's in every picture, the only differences being the amount and design of the beads.
In all of the pictures, they seemed to be laughing. A lot of the time, they were beaten up, with bruises, scrapes and cuts. In one picture, the girl even had a bandaged shoulder. But they seemed happy, as if they hadn't just been beaten up somehow.
One picture in particular stood out to Alec. They were laughing and holding hands, faces bright red. They were being carried on the shoulders of some other people, towards what looked like a lake. Alec couldn't quite tell what was going on, but it looked like they were having fun.
Alec looked up and, with a start, realised that Harry was still waiting for an answer. "No clue," he said, feeling his face heat up from embarrassment.
Just then, Percy walked back in, holding three large bowls of popcorn. "Pizzas are on the way," he announced, grinning widely. "Now it's time for video games and popcorn."
He sat down in between the two of them, leaning forwards to place the popcorn bowls on a small coffee table. He handed Alec and Harry one controller each. Within ten minutes, they were completely invested in their game.
Well, that was until they were interrupted by a key in the door.
Percy's head popped up like an excitable meerkat. He paused the game and stood up to greet whoever was at the door.
Harry frowned. "Perce, I thought you said you lived alone?"
Percy shook his head. "Nope, I said I didn't live with my mom. Not the same thing."
And with that, he crossed the room with large steps, apparently eager to greet whoever was at the door. However, she managed to beat him to it.
The door opened, revealing the girl from the pictures. She was even more gorgeous in real life, her hair shiny, her eyes determined. When she smiled, it seemed to be contagious, as Percy instantly smiled just as widely. "Hey, Seaweed Brain."
"Hey, Wise Girl," he said. He placed his hands on her waist, and the girl gently cupped his face in her hands. Then, much to Alec's shock, they exchanged a quick kiss, before Percy dropped his hands and turned around to face his friends.
"Guys, this is Annabeth," he said, gesturing to her. Something gave Alec the impression that he was very proud of even just knowing her. "Wise Girl, this is Alec and this is Harry."
The girl, now identified as Annabeth, smiled at them. "Nice to meet you," she said.
"Nice to meet you too," Alec and Harry said, in unison. Harry turned to Percy.
"Perce, man, I thought you said you didn't have a girlfriend?"
"I don't," Percy said, grinning. "I have a wife."
Alec and Harry just stood there for a moment, processing.
"A... wife?" Alec repeated.
"Yep," Annabeth confirmed, seeming amused at their confusion. She held out her hand. "See?"
On her ring finger was a silver band, twisting around elegantly. It held a single stone, the same colour of Percy's eyes. The band, on the other hand, matched Annabeth's silvery eyes. Alec could see a word engraved on it, but he couldn't quite make out what it said.
"You're married," Harry said stupidly.
Annabeth and Percy both seemed to be stifling laughter. "Yeah, we've been dating since we were sixteen, and we got married about a year ago," Percy said.
"We're only 23," Alec said. "Isn't that a bit early to get married?"
"Yeah, but we had special circumstances," Annabeth said. She turned to Percy. "I'm going to go IM Piper, see if she wants to meet up tomorrow. See you." She kissed Percy on the cheek, and left the room.
As soon as she left, Percy doubled over laughing. "Oh, man. Your faces," he chortled. "Pure gold. Wish I took a picture."
"How did we not know you're married?" Alec asked.
"I'm not insanely public about it," Percy said. "Anyways, enough about my stunning wife. Let's play video games while we wate for the pizza to arrive."
Harry instantly agreed, and they all sat down.
That had been a very eventful visit.
Later that night, Percy climbed into their double bed, and lay down next to Annabeth.
"Hey," he said gently, stroking her hair. "What's up?"
"Nothing, I'm fine," Annabeth said. "Just tired."
Percy gave her a look.
"We've been together for seven years and we were friends for four years before that, I know when something's wrong," he deadpanned. "Now tell me. What's wrong?"
Annabeth sighed. "I don't know, it just kind of bugs me when people get so shocked that we're married," she confessed. "They always look at me like there's something really wrong with me. I hate it."
"Well," Percy said, pulling her close to him, "I don't care what they think. I think you're incredible, and there's nothing wrong with you. I think we made the right decision, getting married so young. I've never regretted it, not once."
Annabeth smiled. "Me neither. Not even for a second."
Percy smiled, leaned in, and kissed her forehead. "So there. Who cares what others think?"
Annabeth's smile widened, and she snuggled closer to Percy, burying her head in his chest. "I love you," she whispered.
"I love you too, Wise Girl," Percy replied. "Always will."
And they fell asleep like that, pressed up against each other, perfectly content with life.
