A/N: Hello everyone! This is my first fanfiction ever, so feel free to give me tips on what I could change ; )

This story takes place after the One Ring was destroyed, but I am writing it as if Frodo and the others never left Middle-Earth.

PS.: None of these characters belong to me!

Enjoy!

Chapter 1: You Never Get A Day Off.

"Dad!" Eldarion exclaimed, jumping onto his father's bed. "Aren't your friends coming to visit today?" "What?" Aragorn asked sleepily. He saw Arwen enter the room after her son, an amused expression on her face. "Sorry," she said. "I tried to tell him not to wake you, but he is too excited." Aragorn laughed. "Yeah, my friends are coming today." he answered. "But they will only arrive later, probably near evening." Eldarion leaned back and let out a sigh. Aragorn smiled. Even though Eldarion was almost turning thirteen years old, when he was excited, he still acted like a young child.

Aragorn got out of bed and kissed Arwen good morning. "How are you feeling?" she asked him. Yesterday had been a long day for Aragorn, filled with patrols and a small fight with orcs. "Good," he said. "I'm just a little tired."

The family stepped outside the front door to get some fresh air. Outside, they were surprised by a young Gondorian guard standing there, looking quite nervous.

He gave Aragorn a quick bow, which he acknowledged with a quick nod of his head. "I'm very sorry, my Lord," he said. "I know that you wanted to take a day off and spend time with your friends without any trouble, but this is only a very little -" Aragorn motioned him to stop. "What is the issue?" he asked. "We have been tracking a group of Uruk-hai since early this morning. They seem to be heading towards Mordor." He said it carefully.

Aragorn clenched his fist. He could see that the guard was very nervous and anxious not to say anything wrong. Aragorn didn't want to scare him, but he had just been hoping for some quiet today.

He turned toward Arwen. "I'll be back shortly after midday, alright?" he asked. She nodded, and Aragorn went off with the young guard to get his horse.

* a few hours later*

Aragorn was tired; they had been following these Orc tracks for hours now. He wanted to get back, as his friends would be arriving soon.

He was getting more worried by the minute, as these tracks really seemed to be leading toward Mordor. There hadn't been any Uruk-hai around for years, and now that they were back, they were heading to Mordor. It could be a coincidence, but Aragorn didn't believe it.

There had already been rumors of something stirring in Mordor again, though Aragorn had never really paid much attention to them. The people of Gondor were always a little on edge because of what had happened during the War of the Ring.

After a while, the floor hardened, and the tracks disappeared. The soldier leading the patrol stopped his horse and said, "We can go back now. The trail is lost, and we have been following them long enough to know where they're leading." There were a few agreeing murmurs. The leader of the patrol looked at Aragorn, waiting for permission to go back.

Aragorn nodded in agreement, and they all turned their horses, heading home to Minas Tirith.

* at Camp Half-Blood*

Percy jumped out of bed when he heard a loud banging on the door. "Who is it?" he called. "Just me," a familiar voice replied.

Percy opened the door and the camp director, Chiron, walked into Percy's cabin. He had a sour look on his face. "What's wrong?" Percy asked. "Is there another prophecy?" That comment was half-meant as a joke, but Chiron's face remained dead serious. "Not exactly."

Percy raised an eyebrow. "Not exactly?" he said. "What's that supposed to mean?" Chiron gave Percy a look before replying, "The Gods have summoned you to Mount Olympus."

Percy took a deep breath. It was too early in the morning for this. The gods had personally summoned him? He asked himself what was wrong this time. "Only me?" he asked Chiron carefully. He shook his head, went to the door of the cabin, and held it open for Percy to go outside.

Outside his cabin, a small group had gathered. Annabeth stood with Piper and Leo, who seemed to be getting on her nerves as always. Nico was standing behind the two of them, along with Will. "Good morning," Annabeth said with an angry expression on her face.

Percy gulped. That was quite a large group. The last time they had been this many, they had had to fight Gaea, the literal Earth. What could it be this time?

Percy looked at Chiron. "When are we supposed to be there?" he asked. "Now," Chiron replied, and they both disappeared in a ray of light.

They reappeared back in the throne room of the gods, all a little shaken. Maybe except for Nico, as he was used to Shadow travelling, which Perct didn't think was too different than this.

Percy looked around the room. All gods were present, even Hades. In the middle of the room, stood three people that percy had not expected to see: Hazel and Frank from Camp Jupiter and Thalia, a huntress of Artemis. Thalia eyed me with one eyebrow raised. I looked down at myself and noticed that I was still in my pyjamas! I hadn't gotten the time to change, but everyone else was in normal clothes. The blood rushed into my face. I looked around and saw my dad Poseidon looking a bit amused, but no one really seemed to care. Luckily.

We all gave a small nod towards our parents before Zeus cleared his throat. ''Let us begin,'' he said. "I guess you are all wondering why we have summoned you here today." "You mean why you summoned them here today." Poseidon interrupted him. "None of us know what is going on."

Zeus gave Poseidon a sharp look. "What I was saying is that we need your help." "Once again," Nico muttered under his breath before Will gave him a shove against the ribs.

Hades almost looked like he would smile, but Zeus stared to talk again, this time even more loudly. 'Or maybe not us, here, but... someone else.' Percy saw how a few Gods stiffened up.

"We-"Zeus stopped himself looking at Poseidon. "I have decided that you will go aid those in need of help," Zeus paused. Percy held his breath. "In another world," he finished.

The gods started shouting at each other. Poseidon and Hades jumped up, shouting and stormed towards Zeus' throne. Then everything went black.
