A prequel to my story "The Two Tiffanys", set 10 years after the end of "The Shepherds Crown." Everything belongs to the late great Sir Terry Pratchett.

One month later an extra goods wagon had been added to the train from Ankh-Morpork, this wagon contained medical equipment for Roland's new medical clinic at The Castle. Dr. Preston was on the train with an Igor and medical student Rebecca. Roland had commandeered some horses and carts from some of the local farmers to help get everything from the train to The Castle.

When they got to The Castle there was already a queue of patients waiting for treatment. Roland and his staff helped Dr. Preston, Igor and Rebecca get the clinic set up. In the mean time Tiffany, Letitia and Sara did some triage on the queue of patients to get them in some kind of priority order. After a hectic couple of hours the clinic was open for business.

It was almost midnight when the last patient had been treated. Roland was amazed at what had happened.

"What a day, thank you to Dr. Preston and your colleagues. I was amazed at how long you were able to keep going."

"Thank you Sir Baron, every day is a long day at the big hospital. Now if you show us to our sleeping areas."

Next morning after breakfast the clinic was open for business again, there was another big queue of patients. After the experience the day before they were a bit more organised. At the start of the day Dr. Preston that the train to Ankh-Morpork was leaving at 6.00pm that evening, so they would have to leave by 5.00pm. Dr. Preston, Igor and Rebecca were going to take a patient back to Ankh-Morpork, they thought the journey would be worthwhile to get more medical treatment at the hospital. Amazingly they had dealt with the last patient by 4.45pm. Dr. Preston and Tiffany had a few moments together before he had to leave for the station.

"Well wasn't that fun?"

"Well done to you Preston and your colleagues. I thought that I worked hard as a witch but compared to you medics I felt incredibly lazy."

"Nonsense, if it hadn't been for you, Sara and The Baroness getting the patients ready we couldn't have seen half the patients that we saw. Igor and Rebecca were very impressed with the way that you dealt with the patients. They think it would be good if you were to come to the hospital some time, so we could compare notes."

"See you next month….."
