Ai Lin, who was wearing a half black half white ying yang themed hoodie with grey pants and, sat on a chair inside Pigsy's noodles with Mei, MK and the others next to her. In front of them, on a podium, was a man in a suit who was supposedly the mayor.

"Thank you for this amazing turnout." Said the mayor cheerfully.

"Woo-hoo! Let's hear it for Monkie Kid!" Exclaimed Mei excitedly. "Hero of the city!"

Ailin cheered and clapped in response to Mei's words which, for some reason, got the mayor's attention for a split second.

"As mayor, I hereby give Monkie Kid the key to our fair city." Said the Mayor with a creepy smile as he gave MK the key.

"Um, uh, what does this key do, exactly?" Asked MK curiously.

"Oh, you'll love this. It has the power to open anything!" Replied the mayor cheerfully.

"Ooh, anything?" Asked Mei cheerfully. "Like a pet shop full of puppies?"

The Mayor flashed a terrifying smile. "Yes. Or the door to a lion's cage, or an orphan's piggy bank, an imprisoned mystic power source. Whatever you like! Today, you can do no wrong. You've got my permission. 'Cause I'm the mayor!" He said before disappearing into smoke.

"Huh. I'm starting to think that's maybe not the mayor." Remarked Mei calmly.

"I don't think he's even human." Added Ailin narrowing her eyes.

But unlike Ailin, MK only focused on the key. "Wow. A key that can open anything."

Ailin turned to MK and placed her hand on her cheek. "Why do I feel like that key's gonna unlock some super powerful final boss?"

"Hmm, maybe it's the skeleton face." Replied Mei inspecting the key.

"Maybe." Replied Ailin with a shrug. "I'll be around here in case it actually turns into a boss fight."

MK and Mei nodded before they dashed to enjoy the key together.

Seeing that the two were gone, Tang turned to Ailin with a determined expression. "Shall we continue discussing your family tree?"

"Nope." The celestial deadpanned before promptly leaving the noodle shop.

Ailin quickly started heading back to Sandy's to stay away from Tang's pestering. But before she could take more than five steps, she slammed into someone and was knocked back slightly.

"Sorry, I-" Ailin said before noticing who she bumped into. "Mayor? What are you doing here?"

"Who? Me? I was just strolling around." Replied the Mayor cheerfully. "What are YOU doing here? Did something happen?"

"No." Said Ailin feeling wary of the mayor. "I just needed some fresh air."

"Is it because of any...destructive urges?" Asked the mayor with a creepy smile.

Ailin jumped back. "Am I supposed to have destructive urges?" She asked glaring at the man.

"Are you?" Asked the mayor cheerfully.

Ailin slowly backed away. The Mayor clearly knew something she didn't. Did she eat something weird today or something? She asked herself but found no answer. Maybe the key he gave MK had something wrong with it.

"Where are you going?" Asked the mayor seeing Ailin getting farther and farther away. "Don't you wanna learn a bit about yourself?"

"No." Replied Ailin as she started leaving faster.

"Not even about your mother?" Asked The Mayor causing Ailin to stop in her tracks. "I bet the celestial host doesn't like her mystery very much."

Ailin froze. She felt a chill go down her spine. This guy knew more than a normal Mayor had any right to know. Ailin wanted to know about her current mother, but was she willing to risk dealing with this shady guy?

"I couldn't care less!" Ailin yelled before running away as fast as possible.

She ran until she made sure the mayor was a sufficient distance away from her before sighing in relief.

"Are you sure?" Asked the mayor standing right in front of Ailin.

The celestial immediately tried transforming the road into a pillar to slam it into the mayor. But the mayor simply jumped out of the way keeping a grin on his face at all times.

"It could be a real eye opener." Added the mayor cheerfully.

"No thanks!" Exclaimed Ailin as she summoned a box containing about a dozen doll celestial warriors.

The dolls quickly attacked the mayor, but he managed to defeat them all without even using his hands, only his feet.

"If only I had my units in the celestial realm." Whispered Ailin cursing her uncle in her mind as she kept her eyes on the mayor.

"Ah, yes, the celestial realm. I doubt many enjoy your stay there." Said the mayor cheerfully.

"Being right doesn't make you any less shady!" Replied Ailin angrily as she decided to run away once again, but this she was trying to find MK and Mei.

But her running proved futile as the mayor caught up with her very easily.

"Don't you hate it?" Asked the mayor with a smile. "All those celestials looking down on you for something you can't control?"

"Not listening!" She was and the man was right, but she didn't like it.

"You could get revenge. Punish them all for what they've done." Said the mayor cheerfully.

"Not the vengeful type." Replied Ailin as she launched herself into the sky by manipulating the road, letting her land onto the roof of a nearby building.

Ailin sighed in relief as she took a few steps back only to crash into a familiar figure. The mayor was standing right behind her.

"I thought you weren't listening?" He remarked with a grin.

Ailin immediately created distance between them before staring at the mayor with a serious expression. If he wanted to hurt her, he would've done so already. He wasn't even trying to force her to do anything. He seemed to just want to guide her in a certain evil direction.

"Fine! FINE! I'll listen to what you have to say!" Yelled Ailin angrily.

"Wonderful!" Exclaimed the mayor cheerfully with a clap.

"Hardly. Why should I care about a mom that left me so quickly?" Asked Ailin with a deep frown.

"Trust me." Said the Mayor as he approached Ailin with a smile. "You'll soon found out she never really left."

Ailin raised a brow before the mayor placed a hand on her head and everything went black. But for the Mayor, Ailin was going through a great change. The mayor smiled as Ailin stood in front of him frozen in place as her eyes glowed a bright silver.

Seeing as his job was done, The mayor left Ailin to deal with what's to come. "See you later, princess." He said before disappearing in a puff of smoke.

Later.

"Ugh, what happened?" Asked Ailin as she woke up groggily. "Why am I on a roof?"

The celestial looked all around her, she didn't recognize this house so why was she here? Ailin quickly got off the ground before greyish blue lightning crackled all over her body.

"What the- lightning?" Muttered Ailin in confusion as the lightning followed her will completely.

Ailin shurgged, deciding that it wasn't worth worrying about at the moment. She turned to sky and noticed that she was very late. The celestial began to panic before she rushed back home.

As she dashed through the streets, she noticed Mei and MK looking not so good and stopped to check on them.

"Hey, what's going on?" Asked Ailin raising a brow.

"Red son stole the key." Replied MK dejectedly.

The key? Ailin was confused before remembering the key given to him by the suspicious mayor. But who was Red son? Before Ailin could ask, Mei spoke.

"Where were you? You said you'd stay at Pigsy's." Asked Mei raising a brow as she noticing the lightning crackling all over Ailin's body. "And what's with the lightning?"

"I...don't know. I just woke up on some roof and there's lightning now." Replied Ailin with a frown. "How did I even sleep there?"

"Maybe you encountered something and it zapped you with its lightning." Theorized MK in a serious tone.

"Nah, maybe the celestial realm dropped something?" Asked Ailin with a shrug.

"Ooh ooh! Maybe you met some evil demon and he gave you powers to carry out evil deeds." Theorized Mei with a serious expression.

The three burst into laughter as they all headed to their homes not noticing all that is happening under their noses.
