Danny Fenton thought that it was only getting easier making sure that his parents and older sister Jazz were busy so that he could make his now normal trips to the Ghost Zone. What was harder was the excuses that he was giving to his best friends Tucker Foley and Sam Mason; wanting some time for himself or check to see if there was anything to be wary off in the Ghost Zone even that he was checking on the things in his parents' lab to see if there was anything worth using while being Danny Phantom.

He didn't want to face their reactions if they had the slightest clue as to what he was really doing...

He made his way to a certain section of the Ghost Zone and to a house and knocked on the door; it was answered by the smirking face of his now former foe and girlfriend Ember McLain. "Get in dipstick before anyone sees you..." Ember told him with a greeting as he got in as they were keeping this relationship on the downlow. Neither of them wanted anyone to really know about them as they were both nowhere ready to face the reactions. Danny didn't want his friends and family to know just yet and was concerned about if anyone found out either him or his superhero alter ego was dating Ember.

Ember also wasn't ready for the attention that would come if the Ghost Zone got wind of her dating 'the Halfa'; it would be nowhere near the positive attention that Ember wanted.

What started was Danny thinking about trying to stop recurring threats from continuing to be threats and thought that Ember as a teenager would be his best bet to start with. He tracked her down in the Ghost Zone hoping to come to an understanding; deciding to point out that she could probably try being a legit pop star and not have to take over the world to get the attention and fame that she wanted but off course as Ember pointed out she would have to start away from Amity Park as she was known as a ghost menace there.

Danny complimenting her on her music being legit good; Ember was taken aback by the praise but accepted it and the follow up meetings became friendlier and friendlier until the spur of the moment first kiss...

Losing an enemy and gaining a girlfriend had to be a plus.

"Still trying to see if there is anything that could help you become at least part human; a redo for yourself to make up for your less than stellar first life." Danny told her and Ember just sighed as it was something to be keep in mind of Danny would age and Ember wouldn't. Plus he would have an easier time getting Sam and Tucker to trust Ember as a human and if they didn't recognise her as Ember.

"Thanks dipstick; it would be more bearable with you on your arm. But there is always the option of you just getting rid of the human half altogether." Ember answered back; her nickname for him turned from insulting to affectionately being used ever since they got together. Danny sighed and Ember continued on "come on... Just thinking about it; no more lame school and human responsibilities... Us 2 together forever in teenage passion..."

"How about my friends and family... What I would lose..." Danny answered back shaking his head; the idea of him becoming a full ghost ended up reminding of his evil future self or 'Dark Danny' as he called him in his head. He hadn't yet told the full story to Ember and wondered how she would take it.

"The family including your parents who hates the Phantom half and could possibly wants to dissect you if they knew the truth?" Ember asked and Danny's head went low on that reminder and that had an effect on Ember. "Sorry..." Ember apologetically muttered reaching out to him as Danny took her hand.

"It's alright Ember; it's something that I will have to face one day... Let's just forget about it and enjoy our time together my Amber..." Danny told her and Ember smiled with having shared her human life name to him and he turned it into a pet name for her.

Ember got her guitar and showed Danny some new songs that she came up with and it included rock love songs inspired by him. Him acting like an adoring fan in the crowd and her mind went to her first crush when she was alive; the one that got her hopes hope only to ghost her (ironically) for 2 weeks and then got a message to meet up one afternoon only for her to wait for hours until she went home tired. Him causing the sadness and tired that led to her fiery death.

Danny was everything that he wasn't.

She wondered from time to time how he and the bullies from her time were getting on but she didn't really care. While not a villain anymore; she still planned to make it big and make sure that the world remembers her name. With her superhero boyfriend at her side; whether her becoming a Halfa if Danny does end up finding something or him with a full ghost.

My first oneshot of this pairing and I was thinking of trying an AU inspired by a fic I found. Basically what if Ember as a human was in Casper High with the cast but was shy and her crush was Danny but the events in the Remember song (which gave an outline of Ember's tragic backstory) was basically Dash texting her to pretend to be Danny as a prank with the real one none the wiser. If there are other story ideas for the pairing that I can try; I would be welcome to hear them in personal messages please.
