Reporting To Snape
Rafael then and there checked his pocketwatch, "Uh-oh, everyone! We'd better hurry! Snape does not take too kindly to tardiness!" he exclaimed.
The students disbanded to go to their first classes of the day.
For Lisa, Stevie, Carole, Rafael, Phil, Simon, Desi, and Liam, it was Potions.
While the Saddle Club, Liam, Rafael, Phil, Liam, Desi, and Simon had Potions with Professor Snape, KC, Michael, and Kristi all had Herbology with Professor Sprout.
Snape's cold stare passed over the class. the only sound in the room was the bubbling of the cauldron.
"Now," Snape said in his low even tone of voice. "this is the proper potion for curing a daisy allergy: one part Maka root, two dragon heart blossoms, and half a cup of water aged for three weeks in black ash wood."
Rafael's eyebrows furrowed, "Pardon me, Professor." he said.
"Is something bothering you Mister Moondance?" Snape asked, standing over Rafael and looking down at him.
"I think your formula is wrong, Professor." Rafael said calmly.
Snape's expression was unreadable.
"Oh," Sape said. "enlighten us with your great wisdom then, what makes you think that the potion is wrong?"
"I can smell the potion from here, Professor," Rafael replied. "and I smell Towka root not Maka root, the two look very much alike and it is easy to get them mixed up if you don't take time to look closely at them!"
"I assure all of my root packages are labled," Snape replied sounding offended at the idea that he would make such a simple mistake.
A split second later, the potion started bubbling violently.
Rafael hit the floor behind his desk and his friends followed suit an instant later the potion exploded covering everyone in the room, who hadn't ducked in a red liquid, they immediately began to itch like crazy.
"Professor," Rafael said as he and the others pulled themselves to their feet. "the textbook plainly says that Maka root doesn't cause dragon heart nectar to explode but Towka root does!"
Snape, who himself had started scratching, glared at Fred and George and the other known pranksters in the back row.
"I see." Snape said.
"Professor," Rafael said. "I think the labels on your potion ingredient bottles have been switched."
Snape's class ended and most of the students got out of there as fast as they could, but not Lisa, after what Rafael had told her she knew she had to talk to Snape because he was head of Slytherin house.
