Monarch File - Two, Zero, Six, Five
Date: January 12th 2020
Location: New Zealand, Fiji at Monarch Outpost 103.
My name is Doctor Joe Ladd, my major is biology. I have been a Monarch associate for about 2 years now and one of the few survivors of Outpost 56, the former location where the Titan, Rodan, was located.
Now, after the Battle of Boston and the death of the Titan, King Ghidorah, Rodan has taken up residence on a volcano on the island of Fiji, New Zealand. We're not fully sure why he came here. Most likely because it was the only active volcano he could find, but like I said, we're not fully sure.
But anyway, with him now taken up roost on the volcano in question, it's mostly become his permanent home. His… 'Nest' if you will.
Which, in turn, allowed us to set an Outpost up to monitor him from a distance.
While he has become mostly more docile and not as aggressive as when he first woke up back in 2019, we are still careful around him. Afterall, he did cause the deaths of over 10,000 humans while Ghidorah was around. So yeah, we are not taking him lightly.
Outpost 103 is now heavily enforced with a full airwing of F-35's and F-22's, as well as a full armada of Tanks and other armored vehicles on hand if he gets aggressive. Half of which was given to us on behalf of the United States Military.
But, for the time being anyway, Rodan is, more or less, paying us no mind. He mostly leaves us alone, which is good.
As far as we know, Rodan only becomes aggressive if we stray too close to his nest or him in general. He's been there for six months now, and has only left the nest three times, two times to get something to eat, whales I think.
The third time he left that nest was due to an experiment on our end.
We had set us a disarmed nuclear warhead in the area of the volcano to see how Rodan would react. Within the hour of exposing the nuke from its protective case truck trailer, he was there and promptly ate it. Don't worry, nobody died this time.
So, for most part, things are okay.
The only problem is the one thing neither we or Rodan himself were expecting… 'tourists'.
These people, who come from all over the world just to see the so-called 'Fire Demon', are beyond irritating!
Despite our best efforts to keep them AWAY from the Titan, going so far as to put up warning signs and sniper teams, they do NOT give up.
They are crazily obsessed with seeing the giant living fire-bird.
It's like watching idiot birdwatchers try to get a photo of a pack of lions by getting in the middle of the pack itself.
God…
Anyway, with our efforts officially pointless, last month we decided to put up different signs.
Which now all say one of two things. A: "Proceed at your own risk." or B: "All photos or videos will be reviewed and possibly confiscated by Monarch Officials."
*sigh* Christ…
However… while not all the people that go to Rodan's volcano ever come back… there have been quite a few exceptions.
With some of their finds becoming invaluable pieces of data for us, and namely ME, to go over. Some we just made copies of because we are a fair organization, while some we did have to take away from the owners for certain reasons.
And just yesterday, one love couple, the newlywed Thompson's from California, took a photo that was down right amazing to me. But sadly we had to confiscate it out of fear of how the world would react.
I won't say too much in this report, but what I will say is this… We are about to have some new life in the world.
This has been Doctor Joe Ladd at Monarch Outpost 103, over and out.
