A/N: Hey! This is the first chapter of my new story! It's based on 10x20 of Chicago Pd and starts off right after they find Hailey. I will try and get chapters out as quick as possible and I hope you enjoy! Ps. A familiar face may appear very soon :)
'Hailey, Can you hear me?' Hank asked, concern on his face.
Hailey was in fact able to hear him, but she was too physically exhausted to respond in words so a weak nod was the best he was gonna get.
She was so sore all over. Her ribs were killing her from the tase she had received the night before and she also had an excruciating ankle pain radiating up her leg and through her body. When the car crashed, she hit the seat in front of her with her left ankle taking the brunt of the pressure, followed by the offender dragging her by it a few minutes after regaining consciousness.
'Okay that's good. Ambo is on its way just stay calm and don't move you are going to be alright Hailey.' Kim instructed as she knelt down next to Hailey, a sympathetic smile etched across her face.
For the next few minutes whilst waiting for the paramedics, Hank and Kim tried their best to keep Hailey calm so she didn't injure herself even more. After what felt like hours, Sylvie and Violet arrived on scene and they rushed over to Hailey.
'Hey hun, it's Sylvie I'm here to help. I'm just gonna check your vitals, is that okay?' A brief nod was given. 'Okay your heart rate is slightly elevated but that's normal considering the situation. What hurts the most?'
'My ribs and left ankle.' She managed to choke out.
'Alright let me take a look at your foot first.' It took a few minutes from severe pain, but Sylvie managed to eventually get Hailey's shoe off. It was out of place and black and blue.
'I'm sorry Hails. Your foot is definitely broken I'm going to have to splint it.'
Hailey groaned. She knew this was going to hurt bad. 'Hey, squeeze my hand I'm here for you.' Kim told Hailey, knowing how awful this would be for her close friend. Violet slowly began to manoeuvre Hailey's foot into the splint and she screeched in pain. A sigh of relief was released from her body when her foot was in place and Violet began to tape the splint. She couldn't wait for this to be over.
'I'll take a look at your ribs now Hails. Do you mind if I lift the bottom of your shirt up a little?' Sylvie asked. Hailey let out a small 'mhm' and Sylvie moved up towards her torso. As she pulled the cloth up a bit, she held in a gasp. A massive bruise had begun to form on Hailey's stomach. 'I am going to have to feel around a little bit so I'm sorry if I cause you any pain or discomfort.'
Sylvie began to feel around and when she hit the sorest spot, Hailey winced and let out a slight groan. 'It's okay, I'm done. We are going to have to get you to med and get x-rays of your ribs and ankle. I can tell from the visual deformity in your foot that you ankle is broken and as for your ribs, I think you may have cracked a few from the bruising and pain you are experiencing. You are going to be alright Hails.' She nodded in response.
Within the next few minutes, they got her loaded into the ambulance. It took some time, but they got there eventually. As they got Hailey settled in the back on the gurney, Kim made a quick phone call to a familiar person who Hailey would greatly benefit from seeing right now.
J- Hey, what's up Kim?
