"Hawks," Tokoyami addressed his mentor and pointed to a nearby television screen. The pro looked up from his phone, and his dour expression worsened significantly. There was a broadcast about another one of the visiting student heroes engaging with police in a violent clash. Endeavor had already been sending some nasty messages his way about the girl he sent with them, but now the notifications were dead silent. It was almost worse that nothing was being said, like the calm before a hurricane. If not Endeavor, then the hero tasked with rearing her, Eraserhead, would soon be on his ass. Or worse, the heroes' safety commission.

"Sent right into the pits of hell," Tokoyami commented on the report, pulling Hawks back from his self pity party. Dark Shadow wore a concerned expression, voicing some of that concern to Tokoyami.

"Here, take it!"

In a field, far from the city, the moon shone down on a helicopter and a large man approached a younger boy. The boy, with messy hair and a new set of clothes, tossed a metal briefcase over to the man.

"We're good now, right?," he asked the hulking man, but was met with only dark laughter. The man's shape contorted and twisted, an even larger form tearing out of the shirt. Two giant spiked clubs were raised, and the boy shrank back in fear. Just when he was sure he was done for, a loud crash and a gust of wind echoed out.

"Run!," Izuku shouted out. He launched the large ogre-like man into the helicopter, which crunched to pieces under the impact. Rody noticed something swirling in front of him, something that shone more than just dirt should have. Izuku looked toward the back of the helicopter, then dashed quickly toward Rody. A glowing green arrow raced straight after the latter, whizzing through the swirling mass and plunging into Izuku's chest as he shielded Rody with his body. The swirling mass finally materialized, into a girl with tons of injuries and a string of expletives.

"Senji?!"

"Run!"

Izuku had let off a strong kick, stirring up some dust, before he realized that his classmate had just popped into existence before him. He grabbed his partner in alleged crime, and bolted. Senji flung some scales toward the attacker, then pulled her scales together and took off. The takeoff blew away the dust Izuku had kicked up, and an arrow raced out and grazed her side. She threw back more scales, slicing into the green-haired assailant. The previous arrow looped around, but missed its mark again and instead ripped across her back. Senji's wings faltered for just a moment, but she forced it through and raced away.

She flew into the trees, making sure the arrow lady didn't follow the other two's trail, then carefully picked her way around and flew out to find the other two. She flew around for a while, wincing in pain and coughing occasionally. She saw some light from a sort of alcove, under the road, and flew down to the entrance. As she slowly walked up, she could hear a heartfelt conversation from inside and recognized at least one voice.

"Hey lovebirds, hate to interrupt but-Oh shit."

Senji had let go of the cave mouth and fell forward into the dirt, coughing up a little bit of blood and clutching her side. Izuku, half-dressed, rushed to help her but tripped over his loose pants and face planted himself. The other boy with him was at first on guard at the sudden appearance of someone else, but his newfound buddy seemed familiar with her in a good way. So he headed over and helped her up off the ground, noting her shredded shirt and a not so small amount of blood where she'd been. She pulled her hand off her side and saw a ton of blood.

"That's…not great," she coughed again.

"Are you okay?," Izuku recovered from his own stumble and rushed over despite his own injury. Senji couldn't handle the deeply concerned looks from both of them.

"Yeah, great," Senji pulled herself into a sitting position, gripping her side hard. She waved Izuku away, poking at his bandages when he kept protesting. The other boy felt how cold her hands were, and helped her closer to the fire the two boys had made.

"Rody, right?," She opened one eye, speaking through clenched teeth.

"Huh? Yeah, but how'd you-"

"Guess nobody did introductions yet, right. Whatever, gimme that bag," Senji cut him off, and pointed to Izuku's large pack. He moved to hand it over, and she rummaged through it for a bit while he asked some more questions.

"And you are?," he looked down at her with a distrusting look, then noticed her absolutely destroyed shirt and looked away.

"That's a classmate. Senji. My name's Izuku Midoriya, but you can call me Deku if it's easier," Izuku spoke up for her, noting her various injuries. The girl glared up at him, and motioned with her good hand in a circle for him to turn around. Rody moved to do the same, but she gave him a different order.

"Sorry, but it's hard to do this with my arm busted. Help me out," her voice trailed off on the last part and she looked away this time. Rody knelt down beside her, confused on her meaning for a moment before spotting the mangled metal arm on her left side. She fiddled with some bindings on her shoulder, and it fell loudly onto the stone floor. He watched, somewhat mesmerized, as the shiny blue stuff he saw earlier appeared again and took the rough shape of an arm and hand. He was so stricken by that sight that he almost didn't notice when she gripped the collar of her shirt and pulled forward, hard.

"Wh-w-what are you doing?!," he shouted out, startling Izuku. Senji's tail flicked behind her, nearly thwacking her newly acquired assistant.

"Don't fuss like that, or I'll get embarrassed too. It's in the way, and all ripped anyway," she answered his question with a curt tone and continued ripping the shirt the rest of the way off. She held it up over her chest, and Rody was able to see the full extent of the injuries she had sustained over the day. There were bruises and scrapes up and down her arm, along with some sort of scarring that shone like her arm in the firelight. Dried blood had beaded up under her shirt, and where the wounds were fresher it dripped down leaving trails down her tail.

"If you just stare in silence it makes it weirder," the girl complained, startling the other into action. His face and ears burned up, realizing just how hard he had been staring and imagining what the girl must be thinking now. He wiped the blood away with some extra gauze, trying to ignore how she trembled when he did so.
