Chapter 1 Red Queen

The world where Melromarc exists there resides more Kingdoms, the so called King there thinks his is stronger but there is one that reigns above the main ones as the power it has would make them afraid.
Arriving at Melromarc was a carriage and from it came a woman wearing a black dress with red hair, this is the Red Queen.
She walks towards the Kingdom and behind her with card soldiers.
"Honestly why does Mirellia want me to visit her Kingdom, it's just so she can make an alliance." She said.
She heard from the folks that the Shield Devil was going to face the Spear Hero.
"Shield Devil, how ignorant." She shakes her head.
She goes foward and she heard from the spies that the Shield Hero was framed for a crime he didn't commit, she knew it was all a lie since it was from the princess Malty that was pretending to be someone else, one thing the Queen hates is liars.
She saw the guards at the entrance to the arena making them scared when they saw her with her soldiers.
"Well what are you waiting for?" She said.
"Of course your majesty!" They opened the door for her.
She goes foward and her guards went ahead.
The Kingdom was at the seats ready to see the fight as the Shield Hero Naofumi and Spear Hero Motoyasu were at the arena, Malty was behind Motoyasu while Raphtalia was behind Naofumi with two guards at her side.
Before Aultcray could talk they saw a card soldier come foward surprising him.
"What is that?" Ren the sword Hero was sitting next to Itsuki the bow hero.
"Maybe it's a enemy." Itsuki gets his bow out.
"Don't attack him!" Aultcray said surprising the two Heroes.
The soldier takes out a horn. "Introducing her Royal Highness, the Red Queen."
"Red Queen?" Motoyasu was confused.
"So theres other Kingdoms." Naofumi said.
The guards came out and they stood on the sides, then from the entrance came the Red Queen making the crowd scared of her.
"What's with her having a big head?" Itsuki said.
Many nobles covered his mouth to hope she didn't hear.
"Don't mock her, one word and your done." The noble was sweating.
"What are you doing here?" Aultcray said.
Red Queen looks at him. "I got a invite from a certain someone." He knew who she's talking and shuts up.
"Okay let's start." Motoyasu said.
Naofumi frowns and gets ready.
Red Queen goes to her seat but then she saw Raphtalia making her shocked.
"Stop!" She yells making the fighters stop.
Red Queen looks Raphtalia more and she resembles her late husband, she then frowns and walks towards her making the guards scared.
Raphtalia stares at her and she could feel a connection.
"Hmmm, who did this is to her? WHO DID THIS TO MY DAUGHTER?!" She demanded.
"What?!" They got shocked.
"Who dares put the vulgar seal on my royal blood. By making her a slave, someone will lose they're head!" She looks around.
"My mother?! But my mother died a long time ago by the Waves." said Raphtalia.
Naofumi couldn't help but get scared seeing her.
"That's what they told you, but you are my daughter, since you look like your father." She takes out a picture of a Demi human of Raphtalia's species and he has the same hair and ears.
"Then where were you, when the village was attacked?! Father and a lot of the villagers died that night." said Raphtalia glaring at her.
"Attacked, what happened to my messanger, I told him to warn if something were to happen there, since that village belonged to me!" Red Queen said.
Red Queen looks at the two guards who got scared. "Release her at once!"
"Y-Yes your majesty." Nodded one of the guards in fear.
Soon Raphtalia runs over Naofumi and hug him
"What are you doing?!" said Aultcray.
"What does it look like, i'm freeing my daughter!" Red Queen said.
"Daughter? In what grounds?" asked Malty smugly.
"Oh, Raphtalia is the princess of my Kingdom! And we have higher power compared this pathetic place!" Red Queen said.
"That demihuman! Impossible!" said Malty in disbelief along with Aultcray who was shocked.
"Raphtalia your a higher royalty." said Naofumi in surprise.
"I didn't know about it Naofumi." said Raphtalia in shocked and confusion.
"Yes she is! Raphtalia who attacked the village?!" Red Queen said.
"Like I said earlier it was the Waves, we are invaded that time and no one help us." said Raphtalia.
"Tell me, did any of them bear the symbol of the church of this place?" Red Queen said.
Raphtalia thinks about it and remembers a guy running close with the pendant.
"Yes." She nodded.
The Red Queen got mad and marches foward to the middle of the arena pushing Motoyasu away.
"Hey." He said.
She then glares at Aultcray and points at him. "It's your fault! You sent your men to kill my messanger so that you could pillage the land!"
"I d-don't know what you're talking about." said Aultcray nervously.
"That symbol only belongs to this place! You sent a spy to kill my messanger and have the wave destroy it so that you could turn the people into slaves!" She said. "That is a act of war for doing this to my child!"
"I'm doing this for the sake of our kingdom! The demihumans are nothing more as minions of the Shield!" said Aultcray.
"Then you do admit it, then tell me this, what's stopping me from destroying this Kingdom?" She glares at him.
"Woah your majesty isn't this a bit too far?" asked Motoyasu nervously.
"Yeah waging a war can ruin our style and duty." said Itsuki.
"I don't care what some so called Heroes do, this is what he did to my family and he should pay!" She said.
"You all say the shield hero is come criminal and that he's treating his slave poorly, but when I saw Raphtalia run towards him it shows that he saved my daughter from those terrible people!" She points at Naofumi.
Naofumi got surprised that someone was defending him, he didn't expect this Queen to say that to him.
The Red Queen looks at Itsuki. "Also don't think I forget that little comment of you making fun of my head!"
Itsuki gulp nervously in fear.
"Shit..." muttered Itsuki quietly.
"What can you do, we have the Heroes in our Kingdom." Malty said.
Red Queen laughs at that.
"What's so funny!" demanded Malty.
"Don't you know my kingdom didn't get damaged by the waves once and we didn't need the Legendary Heroes." Red Queen said.
This shocks Malty along with everyone else.
"Because the reason why was because we have the most powerful army and the Jabberwocky." Red Queen said.
"The Jabberwocky! But that's just a myth!" said Aultcray in denial and fear.
"Oh no, it's very real, so if I want I can just call him and turn this entire Kingdom into ash!" She said.
A shadow appears and said: "Wait, Red Queen I think you know who I work for."
Red Queen stares at her. "Yes, for the true ruler of this place."
"I'm confused." said Motoyasu.
"How come we never heard of her before." said Naofumi.
"Oh didn't the "King" tell you, he's only a consort, his wife went to the other Kingdoms to make peace and the one that she put in charge got killed in the wave, so he went behind his wife's back and summoned all the Heroes here." Red Queen said.
"Wait, we we're supposed to be in the other Kingdoms." Itsuki said.
This didn't make sense, that would cause a war if the King went behind his wife's back.
Then a black Knight with a red heart came and his head was covered by a helmet.
"Who is he?" asked Ren sweating, at the aura of the black knight.
He takes the helmet off revealing that he has red hair and has Raphtalia's ears.
"I am Raphtalia's older brother." He said.
Everyone got shocked hearing that.
"I have a brother!" said Raphtalia, with widened eyes.
"You have a sibling?" said Naofumi turning towards her in a shocked tone.
He looks at her and smiles. "Yes, I am Raviel, I haven't seen you ever since you were three since I was sent on a mission on a far away Land."
Shadow looks backs at the Queen. "Our Queen doesn't wish for the destruction of her queendom, so she will pay for anything you want."
Red Queen thinks about it. "Very well, first off all the things that were stolen from the village and all the people you enslaved are to be given back to me."
Understood." nodded Shadow, ready to notify her queen.
"H-Hold on you can't do that, I hold the authority!" said Aultcray.
"Would you rather if I call the Jabberwocky?" Red Queen said.
Aultcray went silent hearing that.
"Hah, do it then, we can handle it." said Malty smugly.
The king turned to his daughter in shocked.
"Malty what are you doing?!" said the king.
"It's probably just a hoaxed to scare us and to get what she wanted."
"That bitch is digging in her own grave." muttered Naofumi.
Red Queen smirks and said: "Oh Jabberwocky."
They heard a roar making them scared, then the Jabberwocky came down and lands on the edge of the arena looking down at them.
A lot of people screamed and Malty shrieked in fear as she fall down to her butt, as the Jabberwocky stared at her.
"Now, what was that about me being a hoax?" He grins.
"It can talk!" Itsuki, Ren and Motoyasu said.
"Of course he can." Raviel said.
"Also since we're adding things, Raphtalia what was the name of the village nearby?" Red Queen asked.
"Lute?" Raphtalia said.
"Yes, since my village was destroyed i'll be taking it too." Red Queen smiles.
"But that village was p-planned to be a part of the kingdom." said Melty nervously.
"Well too bad, you stole from me and i'll take that too, Shield Hero your now in charge of it." Red Queen said.
Naofumi got stunned. "Wait really?"
"Yes, since you've took my daughter away from them it deserves a prize, also your allowed to come with us since your in the same party as i'll be taking Raphtalia home." Red Queen said.
Red Queen glares at Malty making her go away, she then looks at Raphtalia. "This time, your coming home with me."
Raphtalia got nervous. "Yes... Mother."
"Good, Shield Hero for looking after your allowed to come to my Kingdom." Red Queen said.
"Wow, well okay." He was a little nervous.
"You can't praise the Shield devil!" The Captain of the knights came out. "He doesn't deserve-"
"Off with his head." She points at him.
He gasped in horror as the soldiers grabbed him taking the Captain away.
"No! Please have mercy!" He begged for his life while being taken outside of the arena.
"Come with me you two." Red Queen told them as the duo followed her. "We have to take that seal off, and if you want a way to become a party i'll explain it since it's pretty simple."
"Well thanks your majesty." Naofumi said.
"Uh mother, theres others in this Kingdom." Raphtalia said.
"Oh, then we'll be taking them home." Red Queen said.
Next day
Many card soldiers went to every slaves and cut the cages opened letting them come out, they followed them to the other Kingdom.
"You can't take my slave!" One said but he got punched in the face.
Many of the demi-humans came out and a soldier said: "Come on, time to take you since the Red Queen orders it.
Red Queen walks foward as Raphtalia and Naofumi follows her, Raphtalia was wearing a red dress with symbols of the Red Queen.
"This is how I rule, the Queen here allowed me to take the demi-humans since they are my people." Red Queen told the two of them.
"Well it's good that they're in they're place." Naofumi said.
"Also I heard you bought a egg from a trader before he went to another place." Red Queen said.
"Yes, I thought it could be something good." Naofumi said.
"It's fine, also Raphtalia we'll be taking care of that nasty noble that dare harm you." Red Queen said.
"Yes mother." Raphtalia still felt weird about this.
"No this one is mine!" A guy holds a child demi-human by her hair.
"Off with this head." Red Queen points at the guy while walking.
The soldiers took him away as he screams while the child ran to the others.
Raviel was listing off the people they got as the demi-humans came.
"Okay keep going, we're taking you all home." Raviel said.
Malty came with Motoyasu.
"Hey Demi-human!" Malty said.
"What do you want? We're busy." Raviel kept doing the paperwork.
"I wanna know why your helping a rapist?" Motoyasu said.
"Excuse me?" Raviel looks at him.
"You let Naofumi get away and even let your sister be a slave!" Motoyasu said.
"What an idiot, she will get rid of that stupid marking once home so she become his party for real." Raviel said.
"But he bought her and abused her, he even uses the seal to make her lie." Motoyasu said.
"The seal only works when given orders, plus I believe him over an idiot and a liar princess." Raviel goes back to his work.
"Why you!" Malty charges her magic but he punches her away.
"Malty!" Motoyasu tries to attack but he got taken down with two hits.
"But how, I grinded and leveled up?!" Motoyasu was in shock.
"Please, one with real training and battle experience beats a brute, get rid of him." Raviel said as the soldiers dragged Motoyasu away.
"Such an idiot, I swear if I see him again I will chop his arm off." Raviel said.
He doesn't care if he's a legendary hero, he's nothing more than a weakling and his Kingdom doesn't need they're help.
Ren and Itsuki saw this happening and Ren said: "This is basically a take over without them taking the Kingdom."
"We should stop them." Itsuki said.
"How? It's a entire Kingdom and they have a dragon." Ren didn't believe they had a chance.
Naofumi goes to a carriage with the Queen and Raphtalia.
"Hey Naofumi are you just running away." Itsuki said.
Naofumi looks at him. "Why would you care, you can be Heroes in this hell hole while I go to a place where they care about me."
"Well go you good for nothing shield hero, we don't even want you here." said Malty with a smirk.
"Oh really, because after that stunt I think you should be watching what you say if you don't want the Queen to order to make you lose your head." Naofumi grins.
Motoyasu came to attack but he got sent away by Raviel.
"Too bad." He goes inside. "Everyone is done mother."
"Very good, let's go home now." Red Queen told the driver and he takes them away.
The King watches them leave and he was worried.
"They overruled me. I'm the King yet my wife let her do what she wants." He said.
On the way Raphtalia asked: "Mother do I have any other family members?"
"Oh yes your aunt, she will be so happy your there." Red Queen said. "I always think she's too soft. Also she's responsible for this." She motions at her head.
"Wait really?" Naofumi said.
"It's something from when I was a child, you have no idea how awful it is being mocked for it. Only man that liked me for who I was is gone now." She frowns.
Raphtalia got surprised at the way her mother reacted. "I care."
Red Queen smiles at her words. "Thank you."
They stopped and they saw the castle of the Red Queen and her kindgom surprising them.
"Welcome home Raphtalia." Red Queen said.
Note: Here's a chapter where the Red Queen is on the Shield Hero world, I wanted to make a what if she was there since the Red Queen wouldn't take Trash's BS and Raphtalia being her daughter makes a better reason why she would be so mad, she's a good character more like a anti hero as her sister is there.
