As we see the stars in the vastness of space, we hear a voice: "I am Alpha Trion, "The Archivist of Iacon," head overseer of Cybertron's Hall of Records, a place where all the information on the planet's history is stored. Let me tell you a story, there was a time when we were once a peaceful race of intelligent, mechanical beings. But then... came the war, between the Autobots who fought for freedom... and the Decepticons who dreamed of tyranny."
"We were led by our leader, Zeta Prime. A brave and noble leader led by the words "Freedom is the right of all sentient beings" inspires Autobots' hearts and minds, including one kind and humble Autobot, Orion Pax."
"Unfortunately, our leader was vanquished, by the Leader of The Decepticons, Megatron. We had lost a great leader, and I lost my brother, however, the darkness did not prevail for long, as we were blessed with a new leader, one whose light shined brighter than even Zeta himself, our Librarian and reluctant warrior rose, becoming the hero who would light our darkest hour, Orion Pax, later becoming Optimus Prime."
"Optimus led us to many victories over the Decepticons, but it soon became clear that we lost the War for Cybertron. With a heavy spark, Optimus ordered the evacuation of our home planet, however, I knew that one day, we Autobots would return home. In the early days of the war, my brother and I developed the Omega Keys, which with the powers of the Omega Lock, could restore Cybertron. We hid its true purpose, and once recovered I sent it off-world, to a planet called Earth.
"I knew that Optimus was planning to travel to this planet, and I hope that he will retrieve the keys. But in case he needs help, I also sent the Forge of Solus Prime and The Star Saber, two of the most powerful weapons in the universe, only eclipsed by that of The Matrix. With either the Forge or Saber, Optimus will be able to restore the last thing I sent to Earth to help him in his quest: my brother Zeta Prime.
Transformers Prime: Alpha and Omega
" I am Optimus Primal, leader of the Maximals and Autobots. It has been eight years since the battle for the universe against Scourge and Unicron. My predecessor, Optimus Prime, gave his life to save all life across the universe. His sacrifice has become my oath, and I dedicate myself to his words that " Freedom is the right of all sentient beings". We have been joined by others in the battle against the Decepticons. Six Autobots, Ironhide, Chromia, Hound, Warpath, Jetfire, and Prowl. Later on, we were joined by another younger Autobot Smokescreen and found a fellow Maximal by the name of Rattrap."
" While I never expected the transition to be easy, however, I never expected how difficult the older Autobots would be, however, that will not stop me in my quest to honor my successor and keep this planet safe." Primal declares.
In a desert wasteland, Insecticons and Vehicons are busy excavating a relic. As they are working, Megatron, Airachnid, and Dreadwing land, transforming from their vehicle mode. Airachnid now sports a gold and black design, while Megatron still has the same look but with part of his helm gone from his battle with Primal.
"Lord Megatron, excavation of the relic is going well, we will have recovered it in no time" Airachnid reports to her leader who is pleased with this information.
"Excellent, it has taken us years to decode all of the Iacon coordinates, due to the loss of Soundwave to the Autobot scout," Megatron responds as Dreadwing growls at the mention of Bumblebee.
"Curse that Autobot to the pit! Lord Megatron, I will avenge Soundwave and my brother by ripping out his spark," Dreadwing snarls.
"Word of advice, kill someone he loves, then you'll be even," Airachnid advises as she walks past him, leaving the Decepticon seeker to ponder her words. A Vehicon pushes over the last rock, revealing the relic.
"Lord Megatron," the Vehicon called out, Megatron, Airachnid, and Dreadwing walk over to the Vehicon and the relic. "I certainly hope that our new acquisition is of Decepticon origin," Megatron commented before pausing in disbelief and fear.
"It cannot be," he muttered, Airachnid and Dreadwing glanced at each other, before turning to their leader.
"What is it," Dreadwing asked his master.
"Something that must never be allowed to fall into the hands of Optimus Primal no matter what," Megatron answered. The relic is revealed to be The Star Saber, Megatron begins pulling at the sword, however, his efforts are fruitless, and everyone stares at Megatron in confusion and astonishment. Megatron growls in anger before blasting at the sword multiple times with his new blaster, modeled after his old fusion cannon during the war for Cybertron, but it was to no avail. The Star Saber neither budged nor destroyed.
Megatron examines the relic before coming to a realization, "The rock is impermeable! The relic is emanating a protective shield! It will only respond to the power of a Prime!" He concludes.
"We must remove it, even if we have to take the entire mountain!" Megatron growls as he turns to his fellow Decepticons.
Meanwhile, at the Autobot base in Jasper, Ratchet picks up a strong signal. For the past eight years, Ratchet has been trying to decode the Iacon coordinates.
"Optimus, I just picked up a second Iacon-locator beacon, and not only that I'm picking up multiple Decepticon readings from this location."
The Autobots and Maximals surround the Doctor as he says this, the Maximals still sport the same look, but the Autobots have a few differences. Bumblebee is still yellow and blue after his upgrades from Sari, but now he keeps his door wings down and he has his axe has a holster on his back so he can pull it out more easily, alongside it is a hammer. The axe and hammer are crossed together on his back.
Arcee now sports pink and black armor, she swore she never would wear pink, but she lost a bet to Chromia. Bulkhead is still green but now he has two large guns strapped to his back that Wheeljack gifted him. Wheeljack is now brown and red.
Ironhide is red and black with two large cannons on his arms, his spark mate Chromia, Arcee's sister, like her sister, turns into a motorcycle, but she's purple and keeps her legs transformed so she can maneuver around more quickly than others.
Prowl is a ninja bot with black and gold armor, who transforms into a motorcycle. Warpath is a red Autobot, who transforms into a tank, he sports a turret in the middle of his chest. Jetfire is a black and red Autobot, with two wings sticking out of his back. Hound, Bulkhead's twin brother sports the same large green body type as his brother. Hound has a beard and is usually seen with a cigar, actually a bullet, and carries over a dozen weapons at once. His robot mode also has numerous mini-gun ammo chains, rocket shells, and a pair of dog tags.
Smokescreen door wings are checkered red, blue, and white with 38's on each side. He has 2 streaks of red on his head, he is also mainly white and blue. The new Maximal Rattrap is a yellow and silver bot with Rat parts on his body due to his beast form being a Rat.
"Do you believe it's one of the Iacon relics Ratchet," Rhinox asks, to which Ratchet nods.
"Then we have no time to lose, Autobots, Maximals, roll out!" Optimus Primal commands as they all transform and run through the ground bridge Ratchet opened.
The Autobots and Maximals arrive on the site, to see the Decepticons excavating the relic. They hide behind the rocks to get a better look while also staying hidden. Once Smokescreen gets behind the rocks, he spots the relic and his eyes go wide, "No way," he utters the others turn to him in confusion.
" You know this relic Smokey," Cheetor asks his best friend. "That looks like the Star Saber, a legendary weapon forged by Solus Prime as lore would have it. It's rumored to wield the power of the Matrix. It's said to have the power to destroy not just a universe but the entire multiverse." Smokescreen explains seriously making the others shiver at the thought of Megatron with that power.
"Oh man and the big M is about to take it, we're all gonna die," Rattrap panics, but Smokescreen shakes his head. "No, only a Prime can wield its power," he assures. Everyone turns to Optimus Primal whose eyes go wide for a second before coming to a face of realization.
"If I retrieved this blade, we could turn the tide of the war, and Megatron knows that" Primal concludes.
"Ah man, only for a Prime, I was looking to add a blade to my arsenal," Hound grumbled.
"Bro, you're a walking weapon, how many more do I need?" Bulkhead questioned but Hound shook his head. "Little brother, there's never such a thing as having too many weapons," he responds.
"Enough!" Megatron yells getting the Autobot's attention. Megatron stomps to the excavation, "Commence transport!" The Nemesis brings down a cable onto the rock that holds The Star Saber.
"The Decepticons are preparing for transport," Prowl states.
"Then what are we waiting for, let's get out there and bust some heads," Chromia chimed in, Hound pulls out his Thermo Rocket Launcher gun grinning as he says, " The femmes speaking my language, let's get to kicking aft!"
"Yeah, you got me fragged, if you think I'm going out there," Rattrap retorted.
"Rattraps cowardice aside, (Hey!) he's right, we can't just go out there blasting, we need a plan," Primal affirms, but Ironhide has already loaded his guns. "No time, we need that Sword, Autobots, Maximals roll out!"
"Wait Ironhide!" Optimus Primal began but it was too late the weapon specialist, Hound, Jetfire, Chromia, Prowl, and Warpath jump into action alerting the Decepticons who fire at them. Smokescreen grins and turns to Cheetor, "Last one to the battlefield is a rotten scraplet," he taunts as he runs into action, Cheetor gasps as he turns into his beast mode chasing after his best friend, "Smokey you cheater!"
"Smokescreen, Cheetor get back here we need to, ugh, well that's just Prime," Primal face palms as the others who stayed behind grin at his misfortune. "Ah, don't take it personally chief, they'll come around," Wheeljack assures.
"He's right Primal, it's only a matter of time, just you wait," Airazor reassures her friend, Primal smiles in gratitude at their encouragement, "Or you know they might not, I mean who's to say-
"Shut up Rattrap," they all bellow which causes the Maximal to fall on his aft.
"How is he related to us," Arcee complains as Bee just shrugs, he turns to Primal, "What's the plan Boss Bot? "Bumblebee questions Primal, who considers this for a second before smiling.
"Ironhide may have been hasty, but his attack actually works for our benefit, Bumblebee, Arcee, Rhinox, Bulkhead, Airazor, and Wheeljack join the others. You'll be the distraction I need to keep the Decepticons busy, Rattrap you and I are going for the Saber," Primal announces.
" What! Why me!?" Rattrap squeaked. "Because one, your EDK Techvolt is very powerful and can clear out the Vehicons surrounding the Saber, and two, it's an order!" Primal answers making Rattrap lower his head.
"I knew I shoulda stayed in my berth today," Rattrap complained.

The Decepticons were holding off the Autobots, who were firing right back.
"Were being pinned down!" Chromia shouts as he fires at the cons. "No surrender!" Warpath shouts back.
"Warpath right!" Ironhide yells back as he picks up a con and slams him on the ground, before continuing to fire." We need that sword" he affirmed. Unknown to Ironhide, an Insecticon lands behind him ready to strike, however, Rhinox in his beast mode slams into the Insecticon.
"I got your back," Rhinox assures which Ironhide smiles at. The others join the battle as the Autobots and Maximals start pushing back the cons. As Bumblebee was shooting down cons with his Path Blaster next to Arcee, Dreadwing in his flight mode rams into him.
Smokescreen does a barrel roll and jumps over some cons while firing his blaster taking out six in a row, "Try beating that Cheats," he challenges his best friend. Cheetor smirks and throws his spear with great accuracy, going through ten cons, taking the last one's head, and pinning it to a wall. "You were saying," he retorts, with a grin as Smokescreen deadpans at and grumbles to himself.
"Bee!" Arcee yells as she begins to chase after them, but before she could she is kicked in the back by Airachnid. "Ah, ah, ah, let the mechs have their fun, besides we don't get enough time together these days," Airachnid taunts as Arcee stands up prepared to fight her arch-rival.
Bumblebee holds on to Dreadwing as they soar through the sky, "Oh come, Dready, are you still mad about Skyquake, you gotta let it go, pal," Bumblebee insisted. Bee tried to punch Dreadwing and rip out his internals like he did Skyquake, but the seeker anticipated this transforming his arm out and grabbing Bee's hand. He then fully transformed before spinning them both around and throwing Bee hard toward the ground. However, Airazor saw this and flew in time to catch Bumblebee before he could hit the ground. She gently placed him down; Bee gave her a thumbs up before facing off against Dreadwing who landed.
"You wanna scrap Dreadwing fine," Bee took out his hammer and deployed his mask. "Let's scrap," Dreadwing and Bumblebee charged at each other, Dreadwing does a horizontal slash with his blade, but Bee backflips out of the way and strikes the Con in his side. Bee goes for another hit but Skyquake sidesteps and punches Bee in the stomach and then kicks him in the chest. Bee lands on his back, as he is recovering, he sees Dreadwing coming down with a downward strike, but he moves out of the way.
Bee jumps in the air and does a downward dropkick on the Con's back. He backflips off of the Con who slowly gets back up and sees Bumblebee wave his finger as a taunt, angering the Seeker, who charges at the Autobot.
Arcee is struggling in her fight with Airachnid, she is breathing heavily as she narrowly avoids a punch. The two rivals exchange blows but the Autobot is quickly put on the defensive as Airachnid ramps up the speed of her attack, eventually getting the upper hand and doing a roundhouse kick to the Autobot femme face sending her to the ground. Arcee struggles to get back up as Airachnid stalks toward her, claws extended.
"Disappointing, I was hoping for a real fight, oh well," Airachnid sighs as he raises her claws ready to end Arcee, who is looking up at her in fear. Bumblebee avoids a strike from Dreadwing and sees the outline of Arcee and Airachnid. "Arcee!" he yells out but before he can do anything Dreadwing swipes him from under his feet, grabs him, and chucks him far from the two femmes.
"Airachnid I've considered your advice, finish her." Dreadwing commands and Airachnid smirks bringing her claws down fast, but before she could hit Arcee, Chromia appears, her wheels out and slams them in Airachnid's face sending the Con flying.
Dreadwing goes to fire at her, but the Seeker is stopped by Bee who uppercuts him. Chromia helps Arcee up as the two face Airachnid who is furious at the scarring on her face.
"You're going to pay for that Autobot," she growls but Chromia is undeterred, as she too glares at the Decepticon. " You're the one who's gonna pay for all the pain you've caused my little sis," Chromia declares. The two siblings fire at the femme Decepticons who avoids their fire and returns her own.
While the Vehicons and Seekers battle the Autobots and Maximals, Megatron is searching for Primal with the Vehicons around him. However, Rattrap appears and quickly fires EDK Techvolt, Megatron quickly moves out of the way, but the others aren't so lucky, as their connected by a chain of energy and exploded into nothingness.
"That'll show those cons," Rattrap boasts before being spooked by Megatron who lands behind him and stares down menacingly. "Oh, hey Megatron didn't see you there, did you do something different with your armor cause you look great big guy," Rattrap sputters out, Megatron simply activates his blade as he prepares to end the Maximal. However, he spots Primal, who is in beast mode, rapidly scaling the mountain in pursuit of the Star Saber.
"Keep Primal from the relic!" Megatron commands as he and some jet Vehicons take off to try to intercept. Megatron and the Seekers fire at Primal who avoids their fire, he jumps into the air and maximizes into his robot mode. Megatron continues firing, but Optimus manages to grab hold of the Star Saber which activates and pulls free of the rock.
Megatron and his Seekers land on the Nemesis. "Decepticons, retreat at once!" he commands. Dreadwing avoids two hammer strikes from Bumblebee and transforms but before leaving he says, "This is not over Scout," he declares as he flies away leaving Bumblebee who fires at the retreating Decepticons. Airachnid avoids blaster fire from the two sisters and Bumblebee who joins them. Before they can fire again her Insecticons cover her as she makes her retreat.
"Insecticons, your queen commands you to fall back," she orders through her link to them, as the Insecticons retreat, Bumblebee pauses as if he heard her command, and his optic grows wide, as he begins to follow them.
"Bee!" a voice calls out snapping him out of his trance, Bumblebee turns to see Arcee and Chromia staring at him in confusion. "You okay big guy?" Chromia questions worried for her friend.
"Uh yeah, I'm fine, the real question is are you fine Arcee, it's not like you to get tired so fast," Bee states worriedly, but Arcee shakes her head. "I'm fine Bee, guess I gotta step up my training," she assures him but Chromia glares at her in disapproval.
While flying back to the Nemesis, Airachnid senses that Bumblebee was briefly under her control, and felt her spark pulse when he was, she decides to keep this to herself for now. "Interesting," she says to herself.
The rest of the Decepticons retreated and returned to the Nemesis. "Aw, man! And things were just starting to get fun," Warpath complained.
"I feel you, kid, it just ain't as fun as it used to be," Hound agrees. Prowl and Jetfire just shake their heads at their antics. Megatron just stares at his foe who wields the ancient weapon. "Drop the mountain on him," Megatron commands. The rock dropped on Primal. "Optimus!" Airazor shouts to warn him.
"Get back Primal," Ironhide shouts but Primal merely uses the Star Saber to slice the whole thing in half. The Autobots, Maximals, and Decepticons look on in shock, except for Smokescreen who knows this is merely a fraction of the power of the blade. Megatron helplessly looks on as Primal follows up by taking a swing, unleashing a wave of energy at the Nemesis, destroying a part of its engine array and nearly causing the ship to crash into the mountainside. The Decepticons manage to narrowly avoid crashing and retreat.
"We Decepticons, now face our darkest hour," Megatron laments.
As the Autobots and Maximals walk into their ground bridge back to base Chromia tugs at Arcee's arm before they enter, she gives her little sister a look that says, "You better tell him, or I will." Arcee groans before nodding her head in defeat as her sister smirks and pats her on the back.
Ratchet closes the bridge as the whole team enters the base. "So," he questions in anticipation. Optimus simply takes the Saber out to show the medic. "Man, Ratch you shoulda seen it, Primal demolished the whole mountain," Cheetor exclaims excitedly.
" It was impressive, this will surely change the tide of the war," Prowl states calmly.
"You know what's not impressive," Primal begins, "Six of my teammates running off into battle, disregarding my command, we're a team, we need to act like one," Primal lectured.
"We knew what we're doing kid, plus you got the sword," Jetfire interjects, Primal growls at being called a kid.
"It's not about the sword, it's about doing things together," Primal chides.
"Listen Primal, we got the sword, it's not a big deal, we've been in this way longer than you have, so maybe you should step back and let us handle business," Ironhide proclaimed as he leans against the railing. Primal glares and is about to respond but the begins to glow on its own, and Optimus goes into a trance-like state as he stares at it. Primal is suddenly no longer in the Autobot base and is standing before a blue figure.
"Who stands before me," The ghostly figure asks.
"I am Optimus Primal," Optimus answers.
"Primal?" The figure mutters.
" I am the Prime succeeding Optimus Prime," Primal replies.
"If this is the case, that means Optimus is," The figure begins to say,
"One with the Allspark," Primal finishes. The figure pauses for a moment before continuing, "That is unfortunate, but if you are the Prime of your era, then I believe I can entrust you with this knowledge."
"Era," Primal questions.
"I wish that I could meet you under better circumstances, Optimus Primal, but I fear that Iacon will not withstand the next Decepticon assault." The ghostly figure responds.
"You are speaking to me from the distant past," Primal concludes.
"If you are listening to this message, then I take solace that you now possess the Star Saber."
"I am certain that you have deduced how these Cybertronian relics and Decepticon weapons came to be found in such a remote world. Indeed, I transported them there, not so much to keep them far from Megatron's hands, but to ensure that they reach the Autobots. I only hope that these relics of the ancients will aid the Autobots in your time of need."
" Easy Primal, what was the message? " Ratchet asks as he helped Primal up as he exited his trance,
" The knowledge to restore Cybertron, and the help from a previous Prime," Optimus answers.
Arcee and Bumblebee are sitting on top of the base as they watch the night sky. " Can you believe it Bee, Cybertron is in our grasp, I can't wait to soak for an entire solar cycle."
Bee laughs at her excitement, "I'm pumped too, but... I have a feeling that you need to tell me something." Bumblebee questions. Arcee stays silent before she answers his question.
"Bee, I'm...carrying," she tells him, there is silence for only a moment before Bumblebee lights up and starts dancing around the area, Arcee smirks at his antics.
"I'm gonna be a sire! This is so cool," he exclaims in happiness while picking her up and spinning her around. "Yeah, and she's due in a few weeks," Arcee grins at Bee's stupefied expression.
"A few weeks?"
"Yep,"
"A femme?"
"That is what I said," Arcee sarcastically responds, Bumblebee looks down for a moment and Arcee grabs his servo. "Bee?"
"I'm fine, it's just that before I was born, sire and carrier decided to wait before knowing if I was a mech or femme, so they had set aside names for either or for when I was born, the mech name was well my name, Bumblebee," Bee explains.
"And the femmes?" Arcee asks in anticipation.
"Sire believed I would be strong, so carrier came up with the name that fight that: Strongarm," Bee answers.
"Strongarm, I love that name," Arcee replies simply with a smile on her face.
Notes
So, after watching some of Beast Wars, I realized just how bland ROTB made Primal, who is such a fun character, so I'm mixing his traits from Beast Wars and Optimus's personality from Animated into this story. Also, due to the nature of this story and the time travel shenanigans from the last one, there will be changes to certain events, past, and future.
