"Paul, I appreciate the help but you need to stand back, this item is incredibly dangerous, you could get hurt." Ash said, warily stepping forward towards the floating Draco Plate in the center of the burnt area.
"Funny, I was about to say the same to you." Paul said. "You're on the wrong side of this fight."
"Not from where I'm standing, I'm getting these back to their proper owner." Ash said.
"These Plates are too dangerous to be left in tact, we need them destroyed to save the multiverse." Paul said angrily. "Now stand back or I will have to stop you."
"You can try." Ash said. "Kingler use Ice Beam!"
"Infernape use Flamethrower!"
Infernape's flames melted the ice faster than Kingler could form it, his power clearly fueled by several problems.
"Kingler use Crabhammer!"
"Infernape use Focus Punch!"
Infernape launched at Kingler fist first, slamming into his pincer, and pushing Kingler backwards.
"Kingler use Hyper Beam!"
"Infernape use Blast Burn!"
Infernape's flames pushed through Kingler's attack, blasting the water type to the point of being a bit crispy.
"Charizard tag in with Air Slash!"
"Infernape use Acrobatics!"
Charizard flew high enough above Infernape so that the fighting type couldn't hit him before launching the slashes of razor sharp air, knocking Infernape out.
"You're lucky that Infernape is only useful when he's weak." Paul said. "But I won't let you take that plate. Honchkrow use Haze!"
Honchkrow was sent out of it's Pokeball, covering the surrounding area in a deep fog, keeping Charizard from finding him.
"Snorlax go in and use Mega Punch as soon as you see movement!" Ash called out.
Snorlax rushed in from the sidelines, slamming into the fog as soon as he got close, only to be knocked back as well, as Paul's Ursaring came out.
"Your Pokemon are exhausted, have you even taken a break since arriving here?" Paul taunted. "Ursaring use Hammer Arm!"
"They don't need a break, they can handle this." Ash said. "We beat that Ursaring once, and we can do it again! Snorlax use Mega Kick!"
Snorlax leapt at Ursaring, slamming into Ursaring's gut before slamming his arm down onto Snorlax.
"Fine, Pikachu help out with Thunderbolt! Snorlax use Mega Kick!"
Pikachu launched a bolt of electricity into Ursaring, causing it to slow down due to overlaying static electricity before Snorlax launched his foot into the bear's gut, launching them back.
"Snorlax use Ice Punch!"
"Ursaring use Slash!"
Snorlax and Ursaring duked it out once more, ending with Snorlax tumbling backwards.
"Don't you get it! You're playing with gods!" Paul exclaimed, his eyes a bright pink. "Even someone as powerful as you stands no chance on their own, you're out of practice Ash!"
"Heracross use Brick Break!" Ash called out.
Heracross flew forward, slamming his arm into Ursaring causing the normal type to skid backwards.
"I'm the best there is, and don't you forget it! Now Heracross use Mega Horn!"
"Ursaring use Bulk Up!"
Heracross jabbed at Ursaring multiple times, as the normal type strengthened his muscles.
"Now Heracross use Horn Attack!"
"Ursaring use Hammer Arm!"
Heracross's horn slammed against Ursaring's arm, the two pushing back and forth against one another as Heracross finally managed to flip the bear Pokemon.
"Honchkrow use Sky Attack!"
"Pikachu use Thunderbolt!"
Honchkrow came diving in towards Heracross from where it had remained hidden only for Pikachu to step in and send a bolt of electricity straight through the dark type, causing it to falter and drop.
"Ashton!" Arceus exclaimed seeing the battle and running up.
"Stay back, he's hunting the plates!" Ash warned. "You were right he has the Pixie Plate!"
"So you must be the fabled Arceus." Paul chuckled. "I expected you to be taller."
"Child please, whatever they have told you is a lie." Arceus said calmly. "They only wish for destruction and chaos."
"Not the way he put it, but don't worry, I'm sure the two of you can talk it out." Paul said. "I need an extraction."
A dark hole opened up beneath Paul and his Pokemon causing them to disappear from site.
"Ashton, IT is coming!" Arceus warned.
"Pikachu up in the air use Thunderbolt!" Ash called out.
A mysterious creature with no definable shape rushed from the sky towards the group, only to be stopped by Arceus.
"YOU WILL NOT TAKE THIS PLATE!" Arceus said returning to his true form, the three collected plates circling him. "ASHTON YOU NEED TO GRAB IT!"
"Right, just gotta make sure I won't be corrupted." Ash said, trying to figure out how to do that. "I've got it!" Ash said, emptying his backpack.
"Too late." Paul said, grabbing the plate. "I'd run if I were you."
"As soon as Paul disappeared with the plate, the entire forest shook, as the Draco Plate and Pixie Plate appeared circling MissigNo.
"Arceus, whats going on?" Ash asked, seeing the forest begin to dissolve.
"The plates didn't just connect with people, they connected to the world!" Arceus exclaimed. "We need to go, now!"
"Charizard lets go, gran Sceptile! Heracross grab Arceus." Ash called out reaching for Kingler and Snorlax's Pokeballs only to watch them dissolve right before him.
"NO!" Ash exclaimed, as his remaining Pokemon got him and Arceus out safely.
"We lost the battle, but we cannot lose the war." Arceus said solemnly.
