A/N:
Greetings peoples of the interwebs, welcome to my nonsense. There's always something telling me to write something here, but I couldn't figure out what it would be about. So I followed the copout of "No ideas? Just say what you would do or sonething!" and while that could work, it would boil down to spending the whole time marvelling at whatever shows up for 3 hours, so instead, time to novelize a DND campaign with a first person POV of my character.
Not much else to it other than the whole "Disclaimer, I own none of this, not even the story, I just played along, wa wa wa etc."
Also lol I put artificer instead of rogue, I'm kinda dumb
Enough drivel tho, onto gaming!
Chapter 1: Took a while, didn't it?
Oh, hi, I guess this is a good time for you to show up, first day of the journey and all that, everything before hand was kind of boring.
To start things off, my name's Aoi, Himegawa Aoi, or at least it is now. Kinda thought that you, Mx. omniscient overseer of my life reading about it because you're bored would show up 7 years ago when I did. Alas, timing was not my stongsuit, nor will it ever be.
Might want to actually explain things first, should be a good idea. Anyway, I'm me, I showed up here with a bunch of memories of being a regular teenager, and then BOOM, I'm a small child ready to open my 5th birthday present in my parent's house in Celadon City. That's when I met my Scyther, Vaike. You see, the plot of gen 1 hadn't happened yet, so my parents decided to go to the game corner, cheat at Voltorb Flip, and win me a Pokémon. And when I layed my eyes upon that towering green mass of plates, blades, and wings I knew what I was gonna do. Reconstruct the squad as fast as humanly possible.
But that doesn't happen for a while, and hasn't happened yet, because I only have 2 Pokémon, the afformentioned Vaike, and Roko. Roko was my ace before, and will be again, as what it can do still is astounding. Adaptability Tri-Attack is one of the strongest moves I had.
Roko was given to our family a year later, when I was 6, as the game corner went under and still had a bunch of prize pokemon. Us, being completely innocent people that wanted to help the poor creatures, took one in immediately, as the large amounts of tech running around our house thanks to dad was enough to leech off of.
Being 6 was going great, until my 7th birthday came around, where I found every SI-OC's dream, a character sheet. I mean, I'm literally taking the place of my DND character, of course i have the sheet, but i forgot that we started at level 3 ... in 5 years ...
I have no idea what was originally on there, shit.
But, through guesswork and Rng, we power through, eventually giving us this
Himegawa Aoi
Rogue 1/Trainer 1
Human
Hp:10
Ac:13
Str:10
Dex:16
Con:14
Int:16
Wis:18
Cha:7
It ain't much, but it sure as hell was better than nothing. Also, I probably should explain that weird class thing despite being level 1, right?
Basically, my level scales with my Pokémon, as they get stronger, so do I. But also, I can gain strength independant of them and thus level. In short, my rogue level can be more than my trainer level, but if my trainer level would be more than rogue, I'll gain another rogue level.
Pretty cool, but that means I have to fight alongside my Pokémon, something I didn't do much in the campaign, because I never had Rogue levels, just a few select poison skills, things to deal with later, yeah?
With all the exposition finally done, tome to get to the real stuff!
After I move to Sinnoh.
Might be a little important considering that's where the PLOT IS.Did I not mention that part yet?, because this was meant to be a gen 4 game. Don't remember the plot at all, but I knew that I started in Jubilife, on the trainers school final exam. After convincing (read, writing a 2 page paper and giving it to) my parents, I was allowed to move to Sinnoh and go to Jubilife Trainers School, because I legally need to in order to catch Pokémon.
Anyway, after some standard growth (I wasn't allowed to battle or even train my Pokémon, as laws are really strict in Kanto) over the past few years we are finally at level 3. Same stats but now we have subclasses, which display instead of my class. Normally, Pokémon trainers got a specialization that would let them help their Pokémon in battle or train them better and you could pick yours at level 3. I was able to pick arcane trickster for rogue level 3, but with this ... well it's better if I showed you
