Gradually the white snow began to pile up to its extensive perfection. She glanced out of her bedroom window; she had hoped for this day, where the snow would finally fall.

Normally she hated 'the perfection' of the white expanse but for once she found herself happy as her hopes came true. Even with that happiness came the anxiety of 'will he remember his promise?'.

She signed, as she heard the sound of a doorknock. Step by step, reluctantly she made her way to answer it. As she twisted the knob; she saw him standing there with a smile.

"How about we go make footprints in the snow together, Machi?" Yuki beamed, as the snow would continue to pile.

"You remembered." Machi replied, shocked as she was.

"It was a promise." He smiled.

She took to his lead and as to his promise, they would walk around together; leaving footprints in the perfection of the white snow. This was the moment she had waited for, even if it would not last; she would treasure it.

They continued to pace, making footprints, leaving trails behind. The coldness of the winter breeze flowing with them. They locked eyes with one another, he leaned in for a kiss and before she knew they would be sharing another beautiful moment.

She thought; "He remembered and kept his promise. For the first time in my life, I found myself thankful for the snow."
