"So are you going to explain what you mean by at least one Plate being here?" Pokemon Master Ash asked.

"The ruins near Solaceon are home to the Pokemon Unown." Arceus said.

"Rotom?" Ark asked.

"Unown, the Symbol pokemon, and a Psychic type. Because the Pokemon is shaped like ancient writing, it is a huge mystery whether written language or Unown came first." Rotomdex said, showing photos of all 28 Unown.

"That is a lot of different forms." Ark admitted. "But how are they related to all of this?"

"I created the Unown as a guardian to the way between dimensions, so they have a similar energy to that of a plate." Arceus said.

"Wait, they guard the way between dimensions?" Ark asked. "Like they keep wormholes from opening?"

"Not quite, they have the power to create a way outside of any dimension, if enough of them are gathered, one would be able to escape a reality, and create one all their own, or even distort this reality." Arceus explained.

"Just like how a plate could distort the immediate area." Ark realized.

"Precisely." Arceus said calmly. "One of you will need to check the farms around town, while the other checks the ruins."

"I can check the ruins, if it's full of that many psychic types, Incineroar will make fast work of them." Ark said.

"Then I'll take a look over the farms with Charizard." Pokemon Master Ash said. "Until then, best of luck."

Up in the air around Solaceon Town.

"Ashton, look down there." Arceus said, pointing towards an open field.

Ash looked down to see a man in a red suit with crops and land floating around them.

"If I had to take a guess, that would be our plate holder." Pokemon Master Ash said.

"Mr. Mime use Thunderbolt!" The man called out.

Charizard dove out of the way of the bolt of electricity, barely missing it as he came in for a crash landing.

"Charizard use Flamethrower! Pikachu use Thunderbolt!"

"Mr. Mime use Light Screen!"

Flames and electricity shot out, slowly seeping through the Light Screen and engulfing Mr. Mime.

"Charizard use Seismic Toss! Pikachu be ready with an Iron Tail!"

"Mr. Mime use Thunderbolt!"

Charizard spun out of the way of the bolt of electricity before lifting Mr. Mime into the air and spinning him around before sending the psychic types crashing down towards the ground as Pikachu knocked him back up with an Iron Tail, defeating the psychic type.

"Espeon, Bronzong, come out."

"Figured that would happen." Pokemon Master Ash said. "Pikachu tag out for now, Sceptile you're in! Use X Scissor! Charizard use Flamethrower!"

"Bronzong use Gyro Ball! Espeon use Signal Beam!"

Bronzong swung about, slamming into Charizard and knocking him away as Sceptile was pushed back by the Espeon's attack.

"Charizard use Flamethrower! Sceptile use Night Slash!"

"Bronzong use Calm Mind! Espeon use Signal Beam!"

Charizard and Sceptile switched targets, allowing Charizard to approach Espeon barely being affected by the Signal Beam as Espeon was engulfed in flames, while Sceptile sliced right through Bronzong's raised defenses.

"Charizard use Dragon Pulse! Sceptile use Double Team!"

"Espeon, Bronzong use Psychic!"

Espeon and Bronzong worked together to stop Charizard's attack, not realizing they were now surrounded by six Sceptile.

"Now Sceptile, use X Scissor!"

The six Sceptile leapt straight at the two psychic type Pokemon, launching them into each other as all six Sceptile merged back into one.

"Now Charizard, use Flamethrower!"

With both of the trainer's Pokemon still dazed from Sceptile's onslaught, Charizard was able to engulf both of them in flames, knocking them out, and causing them to drop to the ground.

"Alakazam end this!" The trainer commanded, an Alakazam floating out into the battlefield.

"Heracross let's go." Pokemon Master Ash called out.

"Alakazam use Psychic!"

"Heracross dodge it and use Mega Horn!"

Heracross was lifted into the air, and tossed about with ease.

"Pikachu help him out with Volt Tackle!"

"Alakazam use Focus Blast!"

Alakazam positioned Heracross in front of him, launching Heracross into Pikachu with his attack, sending both tumbling backwards.

"Same way as the others." Pokemon Master Ash said. "All at once! Charizard use Air Slash! Pikachu use Iron Tail! Sceptile use X Scissor! Heracross use Mega Horn!"

"Alakazam use Recover!"

The four Pokemon struck Alakazam at the same time but he recovered his energy at the exact moment to avoid being knocked out.

"Really wish I had a Z Move about now." Pokemon Master Ash admitted. "Charizard use Flamethrower! Pikachu use Thunderbolt!"

"Alakazam use Psychic!"

Alakazam gathered the energy from both Pikachu and Charizard's attacks, letting them combine.

"Heracross use Mega Horn! Sceptile use Night Slash! Pikachu use Volt Tackle!"

"Alakazam let them loose with a Focus Blast!"

Alakazam let out the stored attacks pushing back Sceptile and Heracross, only for Pikachu to burst through, slamming into Alakazam, flames and electricity pulsing off of the two of them before Alakazam finally fell over, the plate flopping out of the ground and into the air.

"Hera!" Heracross exclaimed, grabbing it quickly.

"Great work Heracross." Pokemon Master Ash said, seeing the state of his team. "Alright guys, let's head back to the Pokemon center, and then we can check out if Ark found anything."

Later at the Pokemon Center

"You're certain there was no Plate in the ruins?" Arceus asked.

"Positive, I checked it from top to bottom, even the top room separate from the rest of the ruins." Ark said. "Why, you said the extra energy was likely from the Unown."

"Yes, but I'm still sensing enough energy for another plate to be nearby." Arceus said with concern.

"Not a lot of space between here and Hearthome, and you're certain it's stronger this direction?" Pokemon Master Ash said, pulling at the map on Rotomdex.

"Hey! You can just ask for me to zoom, no need to get so handsy!" Rotomdex exclaimed.

"Yes, I'm certain of it, there is another plate just south of town, I'm not sure which one, but it's there." Arceus said, sensing the next plate very near. "And someone has it."

"So we need to get it back from them before they get fully corrupted." Ark said.

"Or worse, MissigNo and his forces get to them." Pokemon Master Ash said.

"Right, let's get going then, the less time we waste, the better." Ark said.
