Two months had passed since Logan and Clementine had arrived back to the community. Winter had now heavily set in, snow had already fell a few times, littering the ground with around two inches of it. But even with the colder conditions outside, the community still had things to do even if they would of rather been inside. Logan had now been in charge of the community ever since the day he had returned. Most thought he had done a much better job then Vernon could have. The community had mostly thrived since the return of Logan and Clementine.

Clementine sat in the guard tower near the front gate, she had now taken over the role of guarding the front gate, taking in shifts with a few others. Logan had more trust in Clementine with a gun then most of the other people in the community. Most of the people in the community had sat behind the walls most of the apocalypse, very few of them had actually gotten their hands on the dirty work of the apocalypse. Logan had set up fire arm training for the survivors of the community with him taking the lead on it.

Clementine sat in a chair that laid in the guard tower as she looked out at the deserted houses and streets. Besides the few wandering walkers that she had to take care of, it was a very boring day, per usual. Clementine dreamed of the day that she would somehow, just somehow, see Lee walk up to the front gate from afar. Clementine had lost hope in the fact that Lee would return or if he was even alive, but she still couldn't accept the other option. Clementine still thought back on the day that she had lost her parents, and Lee.

After a couple more hours of watching over the community, Clementine climbed down from the guard tower. She left the rifle she had used to watch over the gate back in the guard tower. She held her winter jacket against herself tightly as the wind began to pick up. She noticed that snow was lightly beginning to fall once more. It was much colder then it usually was in Macon, and certainly the most snow that had fell in a couple years.

Clementine made her way back to the same house that Vernon had given to them back when they first arrived. She walked inside the front door, stomping her feet onto a floor mat, knocking off any snow on her shoes. Clementine made her way into the living room of the house, plopping herself down onto the couch. She was still somewhat angry at Logan for leaving Savannah, but she started to understand why he did what he did.

Clementine grabbed a blanket that hanged on the back of the couch and wrapped herself into it. After sitting outside for a few hours, the cold eventually gets to you. Clementine reached into her pocket, pulling out the picture of Lee that she had grabbed back in the drug store a while back. She teared up a bit as she looked at the photo of Lee.

"I miss you so much..." She muttered out as she silently cried out. A few more tears ran down her face before they were wiped away. Clementine eventually heard the noise of the front door being opened up. She saw Logan walk around into the living room, ever since Lee had been gone, Logan had pretty much been a mentor to her. Logan looked over to Clementine as he let out a slight smile. He then sat on the couch across from Clementine.

"How are you doing, Clementine?" Logan asked, not sure whether or not he would get an honest response. Clementine sat up on the couch, removing the blanket from herself. She looked towards Logan with a sorrowful look in her eyes.

"Could be better." Clementine responded before glancing to the ground. Clementine had already stuck the photo of Lee back into her pocket. But Logan already knew what she was probably thinking about.

"You miss Lee like hell, don't you? Shit, I miss him too; he was like a brother to me." Logan responded. Clementine looked at Logan as she leaned forward.

"Do you think... he's still alive?" Clementine said as she glared at him, a small glimpse of hope in her eyes. Logan didn't want to make her feel any worse, but felt that he should be honest with her. Logan shook his head and looked towards the ground.

"I don't think so, sweetie." Logan responded before glancing back to Clementine. Clementine frowned in response but slowly nodded her head.

"Hey, why don't you come with me? We'll go on a little supply run around here; we're in need of some food anyway. Get outside of these walls for a bit." Logan said to Clementine, trying to possibly bring her mood up a bit. Clementine nodded her head before standing up.

"Sure." She said.

Logan and Clementine drove about twenty minutes out from the community before stopping their vehicle into another neighborhood. Logan stepped out of the vehicle as he glared around the snow covered streets.

"Gotta be some food in one of these houses." Logan muttered out. Clementine stepped out of the vehicle and circled to where Logan was, she then took the lead as she walked towards the first house on their left. Logan looked a bit surprised as Clementine charged forward to the house without a care in the world. He then followed after her. The houses in the neighborhood were quite similar to the ones that they had the community, although they were on a much smaller scale.

Clementine pulled out a handgun that she had held in her holster, readying it as she approached the front stoop of the house. She glanced back towards Logan, who also pulled out a handgun, holding it towards the ground. Clementine approached the front door as she held her hand out to open it. Slowly grasping her hand onto the screen door, she yanked it open, then trying the door handle.

"Locked. We can get in through a window, maybe?" Clementine said before dropping off of the stoop and heading towards a window on the right side of the house. Logan nodded and headed over to the window with Clementine.

"Ehhh... screw it." Logan scoffed before picking up a rock off of the ground, he then threw it straight through the window. The glass shattered loudly as Clementine took off her coat, throwing it over the broken glass. She then toppled over the window frame, falling inside of the house. Logan followed not long after her. Clementine grabbed her coat off of the window frame and flung it over herself. The two then took a look around the house.

"Huh, we chose the perfect window, I guess." Logan muttered out as he approached the fridge. He opened up the fridge before being met with a foul smell, he covered his nose instantly.

"WOAH, shit, that is some rotten shit!" He scoffed out. Clementine chuckled a bit, covering her nose as well before Logan closed the fridge. He then walked over and started opening up the few cabinets of the kitchen. While Logan continued to loot up anything of use in the kitchen, Clementine walked around the small house. She entered into the room nearest to the kitchen, noticing that it was a kid's bedroom. She looked at the few sports posters on the walls, examining the life that this family had before the apocalypse.

She picked up a picture on a dresser in the room of the family that used to live there. It was a couple along with two young children. Clementine frowned at the sight of the photo.

*BANG* *BANG*

Clementine jumped up, startled by the sound of a door being pounded on. She looked behind her as she pulled out her gun once more. It was a bathroom door, but it was shut. She approached the door slowly, before slamming into it. The door budged open as Clementine felt the door push against something. As the view of the bathroom emerged, so did a young walker. It fell to the bathroom floor as it started to groan out. It was one of the kids from the family photo. They looked extremely malnourished and starving, as if they had died a very slow death on the inside of the bathroom.

Clementine looked at the walker as it started to slowly rise up from the ground. She aimed her gun at them, letting out a slight frown at the sight of them. As she was about to shoot, Logan walked inside of the room behind her, asking what was going on. He then caught a glimpse of the walker, and Clementine quickly glanced back towards Logan before looking back to the walker. Clementine winced before shooting the walker in the head.

"It was one of the kids from the family that lived here..." Clementine muttered out. Logan nodded as the two walked back into the kitchen area.

"Next time, Clem, try using a knife instead of a gun. Don't wanna draw any extra attention, you know?" Logan said. Clementine nodded as the two walked towards the front door, Logan had a bag with a couple boxes of cereal and some canned goods. Logan unlocked the front door, opening it and then exiting back outside. A few walkers had been drawn from the surrounding area by the sound of a gunshot.

Logan dropped the bag of food down to the ground slowly as he pulled out his knife. Clementine did the same. Two walkers approached on the side of Logan, with two also on the side of Clementine. She approached one of the walkers who lied a bit in front of the other one. She quickly stabbed the walker in the knee, making it stumble to the ground. She rose up her knife, throwing it down into the walker's skull.

Logan had already made quick work of the walkers heading towards him, stabbing one of them in the head and pushing the next one to the ground. Clementine stood back to her feet as the next walker approached, beginning to ready her knife once more. As the walker got closer, Clementine stabbed the knife into its knee, dropping the walker to the ground instantly. a knife was jammed into the back of its head from behind before Clementine could kill it. Logan swung out his knife from the back of the walker's head, wiping the blood off from his knife onto his pants.

Clementine looked at Logan with annoyance plastered onto her face.

"I had it..." She scoffed out. Logan chuckled a bit as he picked up the bag of food off of the ground. The two approached their car as Logan opened up the driver side door, flopping the food into the back seat of the car. He leaned over the car door as he looked to Clementine.

"Let's get out of here before more walkers get drawn over here. At least we got a bit of food." Clementine nodded as she walked around the side of the car, entering the passenger side. The two both shut their door as Logan shoved the key into the ignition.

"So, did Shane just leave us after that bullshit he did? What a friend he was." Clementine muttered out, thinking back on the past. Logan nodded.

"Yep, his ass must of ran off somewhere, could be dead from that shot you gave him." Logan scoffed out in frustration. He then put the car in reverse, attempting to turn the car back around to go from the way that they had came. He began to pull in one of the house driver ways to turn back around, but was blocked from a man that came running at the car.

"HEY, STOP!" The man yelled out. Logan slammed on the brakes to prevent himself from running over the man. Logan held his hand over his gun holster as he looked back towards the man. The man had begun to walk around the car, approaching the driver's side window. The man had a holster for machete plastered on his back, similar to the one James had. Logan slowly cracked the window down, leaving just a bit of space.

"What do you need?" Logan asked. The man raised his arms up as he looked towards Logan.

"I don't mean no trouble. I just need somewhere to stay man." Logan nodded as he looked over to Clementine. He still held his hand over his holster.

"Clementine, what you think?" Logan asked curiously. Clementine looked at the man before glancing back to Logan. She shrugged a bit, raising an eyebrow.

"We could use some more people, I guess." Clementine said. Logan nodded before looking back out at the man.

"What's your name, bud?"

The man smirked a bit before answering, "My name's Luke. What about you?"

Logan responded with his name as he unlocked the car doors. Logan looked over to Clementine with a quick nod.

"Keep an eye on him, will you?" Logan whispered out as the man began to enter the backseat of the car.

Logan then started to drive back towards the way of the community. The man in the back glanced out of the window as they had begun driving. Clementine took a few glances in the rear view mirror every so often to see what he was doing.

"So... uhh... I promise, I'm not any trouble man." Luke said. He glanced towards Clementine, before looking looking back out the window.

"Being a little girl in all of this... that's gotta be rough." Clementine nodded her head slowly as she looked towards the floor.

"It is." She said quietly.

"Well, with the folks you got around you, I bet you'll be just fine. I mean look at this guy right here." Luke muttered out as he pointed towards Logan. Logan chuckled a bit at Luke's comments.

It had started to turn dark outside as they finally made it to the gate of the community. The gate opened up with its classic creak as Logan began to drive inside. A couple of people near the gate came over to greet Logan and Clementine as they stepped out of the car.

"Welcome back guys! Glad you made it back safe." A woman said to Logan with a slight smile. Logan returned the smile as he looked towards the woman.

"Thank you." He said. The woman looked over to Luke who had stepped out of the vehicle as well.

"A new face? What's your name!" She said in excitement towards the new member of the group.

"Uh- Luke, nice to meet you." Luke said with a bit of nervousness in his voice. Clementine and Logan rounded up near each other as Logan gave Clementine a small pat on the shoulder.

"You did good work out there kid." Clementine smirked a bit before yawning.

"Think I'm ready for bed." Clementine muttered out. It was now almost near pitch black outside. Suddenly, a man from the guard tower waved down to Logan, who had just caught a glimpse of him.

"What is it?" Logan yelled out to the man on the tower.

"Someone's coming!" The man yelled out. Logan walked towards the gate and began to push it open. Clementine walked a bit behind him. As the gate opened and the view of the road ahead emerged, they saw the silhouette of a man slowly walking towards the gate. They saw that the man walked with a slight limp. As the man got closer, they made out a pair of brown pants along with a blue shirt through the opening of a denim jacket. The pants were ripped in multiple places, laced with dried blood.

The shirt and jacket held the same qualities as the pants did, and as the man stepped forward closer to Clementine and Logan, they recognized him.

Clementine and Logan stepped forward in shock as they looked at the man.

"Holy shit... Lee?" Clementine muttered out...
