"Hyde wasn't usually petty, but he did take great pleasure in seeing how broken Jackie was. Ever since Sam showed up, her hair was a little bit greasier, her eyes a little more tired, her appearance a little less put together. That was because of him. She missed him, still loved him. He needed to know that he wasn't the only one broken.

But today, she's radiant. She's well dressed and well rested. She's the Jackie he had fallen in love with. When she looked at him today, it wasn't with the same longing in her eyes that she's had these last few weeks. She seemed confident. She was sure of herself and of who she was. Hyde hated it. She should still be in pain because he was still in pain, it still hurt him to look at her. He'd have to make sure that he brought that pain back. He hated telling her these horrible things, but he didn't have a choice in the matter. He wasn't going to suffer alone. She was sitting on the couch next to Fez, both of them gushing over the articles. She looks happy, he thought. Then, Fez brought up the one subject that would always put him on edge. Michael Kelso.

"Kelso is coming home today, I can't wait to see my beautiful friend."

"Oh, I know! I'm so excited to see him and Betsey. I have so many new outfits for her!" replied Jackie.

There it was. The reason she was doing so much better. He knew she still loved Kelso. When he came back from Vegas, Kelso told him nothing had happened between them. He believed him because if something had happened, Kelso would be bragging about it. But to have confirmation that she still loved him...that stung. But he couldn't react. Sam was sitting on his lap. They couldn't know Jackie had any effect on him still. She wouldn't win.

"He said he'd meet us here, and then we could go to the hub," Fez told them.

"How often do you two talk to him?" asked Donna, confused as to why Kelso didn't call her.

"I talk to him about twice a week, and I talk to Brooke like three to four times a week," replied Jackie.

Brooke? thought Hyde, why would she talk to Brooke?

"I talk to Kelso maybe about four times a week, and I talk to Brooke about three times a week," Fez informed them.

Hyde wasn't sure what was going on. Why did they talk to Brooke? He assumed Jackie did to find stuff out about Betsey, but Fez? As he was thinking about it, the basement door opened, and in walked Brooke, Betsey and Kelso.

"Hey guys!" Kelso greeted happily. Fez ran up to embrace his friend while Jackie stood to embrace Brooke.

"Aww, sweet pea, I missed you!" Brooke laughingly told Jackie.

Jackie smacked her arm and said, "Oh hush, it's a cute nickname. I missed you too."

That confused Hyde even more. Why was Brooke here? And why was she using Kelso's nickname for Jackie? Hyde always hated that nickname.

Sam didn't know who Brooke was and quickly got up to introduce herself and remind everyone that she was the most attractive girl in the room, not this new girl.

"Hi, I'm Sam," she said in the most faked pleasant voice she could make while she went to shake Brooke's hand.

Brooke avoided shaking her hand by taking Betsey from Michael. "Oh, I know, Michael's told me all about you" Brooke said with a bitchy tone that made Jackie proud. "I'm Brooke" she added.

Donna got up and greeted Kelso with a hug and said hello to Brooke, not really knowing how to greet her because she wasn't really sure how everyone was such good friends with her all of a sudden. Hyde got up and went to embrace his friend and greet Brooke as well. Although her bitchy tone towards Sam wasn't lost on him.

"Guys, we have some news!" Kelso addressed them all, "Brooke and I are getting married!" Everyone was silent until Jackie shrieked. Hyde knew it.

"Oh my God! Brooke! You have to let me help you plan the wedding!"

What? Thought Hyde, shouldn't she be jealous that Kelso isn't marrying her?

"Actually, I was hoping you'd say that because I want you to be my maid of honor," replied Brooke.

"OH MY GOD! YES!" yelled Jackie as she embraced Brooke again and then jumped to hug Kelso. "Oh my God, Michael! Congratulations! I'm so happy for you!"

"Thanks, sweet pea," Kelso told her, as he hugged her tightly.

"I love weddings! I can't wait to go!" Sam said enthusiastically.

Kelso looked over at Brooke and knew it was time to tell Hyde. "Oh, about that. Sorry Sam, after my mom found you the other day with my brother's and it was explained to her that you were Hyde's wife, she said she wouldn't contribute to my wedding if you were a guest. So, I guess you can't go." Kelso explained.
