Backup Season 01 Episode 08
01 Well, it took some convincing but they'd managed to actually get both Albedo and Danielle transferred to New York provided they went to a good school, and to that end the two of them were enrolled alongside Den and Harrison in the Millar d Fillmore School. Albedo and Danielle were in the Middle School buidling and Harrison and Den were over in the highschool. Though it's not a private school it is one of the best known public schools in the city. They'd been given time to adjust to the new place that they were set up with, which was kinda nice actually.
02 They'd had everything they needed with the place being powered by the thing that powered the Duotrix and Ship. Speaking of, Ship, Cherit, and Cujo were also living there and the basement had been outfitted with a ghost portal that would let them go to and from the ghost zone along with being able to flush any more of the Xenomorphs that they may encounter at some point or any other Ghosts that might be skulking around. They weren't allowed to have parties and would be checked on regularly by different individuals to make sure they don't do anything stupid like burn the place down and also had a specialized training area.
03 Danielle and Albedo were both placed in the same class, the school probably being persuaded to do so and had to introduce theirselves after finding what classroom they were in with the map and schedule they were given for everything. "I'm Albedo Tennyson." spoke the Duotrix wielder as people began to mummer in the classroom making him sigh "Yes, THAT Tennyson, and No I will not turn into an alien at school. Maybe some other time." Danelle then spoke up saying "I'm Danielle Fenton, yes I am half Ghost, no I will not change into ghost form right now, maybe some other time like Albedo said." which had surprised the class that they had not one but two siblings to basically superhero celebrities joining them.
04 "Alright settle down, if you two need any help you can just ask Haley there." The teacher spoke to the class before telling Albedo and Danielle about Haley who was a girl in a purple and black t-shirt and bluejeans as the girl, Haley waved so they'd know who she is and the two take their assigned seats. Meanwhile Den and Harrison were doing the same in their own class wiht the teacher saying "We have new students today, Den and Harrison Fears." as they were saying their names the two walked in and the Techer says "If you need any help with anything ask Trixie." and a girl with a blue shirt with a panda on it waves at them saying "I'll show you guys the ropes."
05 They'd gone over to some assigned seats and sat down but something seemed off and they'd begun whispering to one another with Den questioning "Harrison, you feel that?" with his younger brother nodding in response whispering back "Ya, but it doesn't feel like seeker Magic. Maybe we should keep an eye out just to be safe?" and his elder brother nodded in agreement going about the day as normal trying to figure out what was going on without drawing attention to themsevles as they did so.
06 They'd gone to a class on magical creatures where a teacher named Mr. Rotwood was talking about Dragons. Den silently wondered if he was referring to Dragons like Pendragon or if it was some other type of Dragon while listening to what they had to say. Rotwood had told them all "Turn to chapter two hundred and thirty seven in their copy of his yet unpublished thesis on Mythobilogy you'll all fine that I describe Dragons as an evolutionary offshoot of the Dinosaurs." and both Den and Harrison look at him like he was stupid, mostly because he was.
07 Rotwood goes on the ask "If this is the case that it could tell us alot about a Dragon's brain, which means what exactly?" while seeing that one of the students wasn't paying attention and hits his yardstick onto the desk questioning "Mr. Long, the answer?" to which the Kid who had dark hair with green highlight responds "It tells us that.. you're an idiot?" while shrugging in response to the question making them angry.
08 "To be fair, if we take into account the various myths about Dragons throughout the world it would be easy to conclude that Dragons possess a high level of intellect as many are capable of human speach, and not just the ones from modern media." Den then spoke up before the teacher could speak. "And, going by the mythology a lot of them actually possessed different types of elemental and magical type abilities as well such as not only breathing fire, but also ice and other such abilities." Harrison then added to that with the rest of the class looking at them both impressed and confused.
09 Trixie then speaks up saying "Y'know this is Mythology Class, so how exactly would you even know any of what you theorize is correct anyway Professor, it's not like you've ever studdied them or for that matter even could study them." Rotwood then goes on to say "Yes well, many scientists have dedicated themselves to proving that it exists though that comes with things like being Ridiculed for their attemps." and the student whom we only know's last name is Long say "Maybe you should have gone into Cryptozoologoy like a normal person obsessed with stuff like that."
10 "Dudes, dragons are totally real. There's an entire record dedicated to them in the Plumber ALDB." this made everyone look at the students look at the guy funny and he just shrugs saying "Alien Life Form Data Base, it's like public records about Alien Species and stuff, they're called Dragoneesians, or Dragons for Short. They're actually smarter than Humans." The others took a moment and Mr. Long responds "Spud how do you know these things?" revealing the guy that talked about aliens was named Spud or at least had the nickname Spud.
11 "Aliens are cool." He answered simply in response as Rotwood finally snapped calling out "ENOUGH!" while while snapping his yardstick into two by accident out of frustration and the proceeded to go to his desk and get another one. He was going to talk more but the bell rang and everyone got cleared out as fast as possible and Rotwood sighed saying "Class Dismissed." Harrison and Dent went to deal with their school stuff and had met up with Trixie asking "Is he always that weird?" referring to Professor Rotwood.
12 "Pretty much." Trixie had answered and then looked behind the two calling out "Ayo Jake, Spuds over here." with the guy with the green highlights and that one guy that talked about Aliens coming over to them which means the one with highlights is called Jake. "Jake, Spud, and I have known each other since Preschool. Guys these are the new dudes Harrison and Den." Trixie then introduced them all to one another and they'd nodded a greeing to them. "Guys I'm about to hit up the skate park, you guys in or what?" Spud spoke up asking if they wanted to go with.
13 "Yo count me in, so Jake you going too or what?" Trixie spoke up though Jake responds "Sorry gotta work at the shop today." and both Trixie and Spud then look at Den and Harrison who shake their heads no "Nah, gotta go finish unpacking at the new place." Den told them in response "Maybe some other time." Harrison then added and they head out to go on back to their new place. They weren't exactly lying as they still hadn't finished unpacking but the last of their stuff finally just arrived that they'd forgotten to pack.
14 "So you felt it too right?" Harrison then questioned as they were heading home and his elder brother nodded in response as they'd met up with Albedo and Danielle too "There's definately some sort of Magic coming from Jake, though it's not Seeker Magic it feels too different." Hearing their conversation Albedo questions "Hey this Jake guy, his last name Long?" and Harrison nodded questioning "How'd you know?" curious if there was more to it or not.
15 "There was a girl in our class named Haley who was talking about their big brother Jake." Danielle explained to the two elder guys as they were making their way back to their new home base that they'd be staying at "If that's the case then try to keep an eye on her and see if they're up to anything but don't let it be obvious that they're on the radar." Den told the two of them and they'd nodded with the group making it back to their place and head on inside to deal with the stuff they needed to work on.
