Hyde looked at Donna, "Jackie told you?"

Donna couldn't look Hyde in the eye, so she just began speaking, "Well, yea, but I mean, I thought she was lying. I didn't think Sam would do that to you."

"What made you think she was lying?" Hyde asked.

"Well, you said she slept with Kelso, so I figured she was trying to blame Sam for the same thing."

"She didn't sleep with Kelso. He was being Kelso, and I jumped to conclusions and ran off. Kelso told me when I got home and I was too angry to believe it. I figured Jackie told you the truth and you'd believe her side of the story." Hyde looked at Donna with anger and disgust, she had been just as mean to Jackie, unprompted.

Donna couldn't believe it. The reason she was so angry with Jackie, the reason she ostracized her this whole time, why she made friends with Sam. None of it was real. When did she decide she couldn't trust Jackie to tell the truth?

"What?" asked Donna. "I stopped hanging out with Jackie because I was trying to be a good friend to you. I lost my best friend because you didn't tell me the truth!"

Hyde scoffed, as if any of what was happening between Donna and Jackie was his fault. "I never told you to pick between me or Jackie. You did that on your own. If she was your best friend, you would have believed her when she said she didn't sleep with Kelso. Instead, you acted like she was a whore and not good enough to hang out with you. You're such a good best friend and feminist Donna."

Kelso and Fez knew things were going bad, so Kelso figured now was a good time to escape, but not before telling them something that was just a little bit humiliating. They deserved it for the way they treated Jackie.

"Oh, by the way, guys, Hank and Casey both have the clap, so...maybe get tested." Kelso said, shrugging his shoulders. "Come on, Fez, let's go find the girls and play with Betsey."

That left Hyde in the basement alone with Donna and Sam.
