A/n: this is an AU story starting with the night Jolu met, except nobody finds them and the Zacchara's aren't that big.
-Sonny is in a big feud with the Alcazar's, I brought Sage back from the dead and Diego as well. I've brought the Jerome's into this as well even though I know they didn't come back until 2014? So...Ava, Julian, Victor and Olivia will be in this as well.
-Claudia hasn't come back from Rome so it's just Anthony, Trevor and Johnny right now and they haven't really been involved in much since the 90's.
- In my version Maria left after Anthony shot at her, leaving Johnny behind.
-The TMK storyline never happened so, Georgie, Emily and Coop are still alive.
Johnny Zacchara slammed his fist down on the mahogany desk in his room, why did he have to stay locked up in this stupid prison he called a house? Though Crimson Pointe had never really felt like a home, nowhere had. Johnny cursed the only two women he'd ever cared about, his mother and his sister. After Maria was shot at she just disappeared, maybe she had never cared about him at all. Claudia hadn't been around since he was a little boy but she had promised to never abandon him, yet she did exactly that. Johnny should hate the thought of talking to a woman but, he didn't. The thought of settling down with a good woman was heavily on his mind as each year passed but, how was he ever going to get out of here?
"Fuck this, I'm going out." Johnny didn't want to delve too far into the depths of something that probably wouldn't happen. Johnny grabbed his leather jacket and keys to the mustang before heading out the back way through the rose garden, nobody ever went that way because it had long since been neglected since his mother left at least a decade ago. Johnny soon reached his car unlocking it and sliding into the driver's side starting his engine and speeding out of the driveway. Johnny stopped by Kelly's diner figuring he would get something to eat, Johnny walked inside the diner and it had a homey feel to it. There weren't that many people here which Johnny didn't mind his eyes scanning the customers taking everyone in, when they landed on a young woman with blonde hair who looked like she'd had the longest day in history. Johnny saw her lay her apron on the table so it was clear that she worked here, another waitress came by her table.
"Well I'm gone, what time do you get off?" The brunette asked, hanging up her apron and sliding her jacket over her arms.
"I'm closing but, I'm going to try to find something to do after closing up. Are you going home to sleep the night away?" The blonde rose one brow, amused.
"Lulu, the whole shuts down by ten! The only place that stays open is Jake's. I just know I'm going to hear you complaining the next morning because you stayed out late, like you do every night. Sleeping is what normal people do, ya fuckin' vampire." The brunette waitress gave her a sideways look.
"I can always find something to do, Georgie. I moved out of Tracy's so I could be free don't even try to micromanage me right now. I like what I do and I don't need your approval. Sure I'll complain but, I'm a complainer it's what I do. Has it ever occurred to you that you don't have to be so tightly wound? It is okay to have fun and break rules once in awhile. How's Maxie and Logan's relationship going?" Lulu teasingly smirked at the end of her statement.
"You can, I know this I just don't really understand why. I'm just looking out for you I can't exactly leave you to your own devices. Can I? I am exactly the way I want to be, thank you very much. God, don't remind me that my sister is dating that degenerate." Georgie shakes her head, seeming frustrated with this conversation.
"It's for me to understand, don't worry about it. Well I told her that Logan was bad news, I have all my psycho ex stories from my time with Logan. Pretty soon Maxie will see that I'm not lying." Lulu's eyes drifted along the diner, immediately seeing the hottest man she'd ever seen in person watching as he sat down at an empty table.
"Maxie and her hard head." Georgie rolled her eyes, sensing Lulu had gotten distracted.
"Have you ever seen a man so hot that you just want to rip his clothes off?" Lulu asked, earning a giggle from Georgie.
"You finally have a new crush, thank God!" This was great news, Lulu wouldn't be stuck on Logan anymore.
"Well he just walked in here, he doesn't look familiar so he might not even be local. I might never even see him again, I don't even know his name." Lulu could feel the butterflies knotting up in her stomach. Georgie glanced over at the man she was referring to giving him a once over, this man was Lulu's type she could already tell. The mystery man was cute enough but smelled of bad decisions and fast cars, things that would attract Lulu.
"Why don't you talk to him? Take his order at least. I know your curious! Come on Lulu you can talk to anyone, you've got a bubbly personality. Don't be nervous he might like you too, you're a very beautiful woman. You deserve to have someone who will treat you right, don't let what Logan put you through scare you off from finding someone better. You've got this!" Georgie knew that she needed a little nudge in the right direction, Georgie did love her friend despite all they'd been through.
"You're right, thank you G. I'll see you at home." Lulu smiled, hugging her friend.
"That's what I'm here for, I'll see you in the morning." Georgie returned the hug before leaving Kelly's waiting on Dillon to walk her home.
"Hey angel. How was work?" Dillon Quartermaine smiled pecking her on the lips, they held hands as they walked towards Georgie and Lulu's apartment.
"I think Lulu has a crush." Georgie smirked at her boyfriend.
"Good, the further away from Logan she is the better. Logan is one creepy dude." Georgie and Dillon had gotten back together the day Dillon was supposed to leave for California with Ned, they had confessed their feelings and has been sweet on each other ever since. Dillon, Georgie and Lulu were tighter now than ever...Dillon was the one who convinced Lulu to move in with Georgie.
"You can say that again, there was this man that came in that caught her eye. I told her to talk to him, we'll see."
"I'm sorry I know you've been waiting for awhile! I'm a blonde, I'm dumb by association." Lulu swiftly walked over to the mystery man that was so friggin hot she could melt just looking at him.
"That's okay, don't worry about it." Johnny chuckled at her joke, maybe this was weird but he could see himself with this woman. Christmases spent laughing under the mistletoe, curled up by the fire on cold nights.
"Oh you're just being nice! Which I appreciate, I am the worst waitress in the world. Even my boss says so, if my family didn't own this place I'd be shit out of luck. Anyway enough about me, what can I get YOU?" Lulu was such a ditz! Why was she talking about herself right now when he was obviously hungry and thirsty?
"You're...amusing. it's okay I really don't mind being here, I don't really have anywhere to be." Johnny was happy just sitting in a diner he'd never been to talking and laughing with a woman he'd never met.
"That's one word for me." Lulu couldn't keep the smile off her face.
"I'll have a cheeseburger with fries and a coke." Johnny figured he couldn't get more simple than burgers and fries, he didn't want her to have to do extra work for him.
"Coming right up, eventually. I'm not going to lie to you." Lulu scribbled down on her notepad going to the kitchen and calling out the order to the chef, then she went to the drink machine pulling a cup from the counter behind her. When she pulled the cup it went flying over the counter and onto the floor smashed into a million places.
"CLEAN UP AISLE TWO!" She yelled to whoever was in the back, earning a laugh from Johnny.
"Lulu, you're going to have to get that up." An older gentleman called out, a hint of annoyance in his tone.
"You know I had to say something, I wouldn't be me if I didn't!" Lulu smirked grabbing the broom and dustpan, sweeping up the glass.
"You press your luck, you really do." Mike mutters as Lulu brought out Johnny's coca-cola to him.
"Sorry, Mike gets antsy when I break things. Which is all the time, I'm too clumsy for my own good. I just thought you'd like to know." Lulu was full of herself all the time and Johnny liked that about her, nothing with her could ever be boring.
"I probably shouldn't tell you this because it's not very professional but, I am who I am. The thing is that I think you're very cute and, I was wondering if it was a possibility to get your number? If not I totally understand, it's a total shot in the dark here but that's me." Lulu didn't know what she was doing, words just kept spilling out of her mouth.
"Professional is for people who sit at desks all day and act like their better than everyone else, fuck that. I think that you are very amusing, very funny and also very cute. I don't think anyone could ever be bored if their around you." Johnny was impressed by her courage, he could tell she had guts.
"Thank you! That might be the best compliment I've ever gotten." Lulu smiled a genuine smile, Mike noticed it and was glad the girl was getting out there again.
"If you're not doing anything after you get off, maybe we could do something. Like I said, I've got no place to be."
