Backup Season 02 Episode 01
01 It was early in the morning and Raven had been sleeping, we see that Ship did come back and was now sleeping on her bed. We see that her room had been decorated with many books around in various shelves along with a dark blue bedroom set with a vanity mirror and what appeared to be roughly queen sized Bed as well. There was a silver hand mirror sitting on top of the vanity's desk part with strange looking markings on it. She'd began to wake up and moved to prepare for the day getting her hair and makeup fixed up though she didn't wear much of it and then bega to head on downstairs to breakfast.
02 "Good morning." Cherit greeted while trying to cook breakfast seeming to have taken on the role of the Denmother since they'd all grown strong enough they didn't need his help in battle anymore. "Morning." Raven spoke sitting at the table as Ship followed her sitting up at the table and spotting the forks and barked "Ship Ship." bouncing up and down and went to try to grab at them but was stopped by Danielle making him pout. "Utensils are not food Ship, we've told you that more than once." Den sighed as Ship just continued to pout.
03 "So, you decided on a name yet?" Harrison questioned looking over at Raven who nods staying "After considering it for awhile I decided to go by Rachel Roth." which the others nodded in aproval of. "So any particular reason why you chose that name?" Cherit questioned getting something from the oven and began to make the plates for everyone, to which she says "My Mother's Maiden name was Roth." explaining why she'd chosen it exactly. "So why Rachel?" Den questions next wanting to know more about the name she chose.
04 "Rachel means one with purity, naming me that was the only good thing my father has ever done for me." Raven then explains looking at her reflection in the window and we see a flash of a red skinned man with white hair and four yellow eyes along with antler-like horns before then returning to her normal reflection again, though the others did not see any of this. "I'd ask about that but I get the feeling it's not something to talk about." Danielle then states which Raven nods in response to saying "Youd be right."
05 "Well, Haley and I are headed to the Pier after school today so you guys don't have to head over there." Danielle then told them all and gotten a nod in response. They'd gotten a phone call and Harrison says "I've got it." before going over to answer sayin "Hello.. ya we're having breakfast right now.. not much longer.. alright see you there." before then hanging up. Den then questions "What was that about?" to which his brother answers "Jake has something important come up and wants to discuss it with us."prompting them to nod in response and finish eating before heading out to Lao Shi's shop where Jake had explained everything to them.
06 We then cut to later when Jake had gathered the others to explain the situation "And when I woke up I had this in my hand." he'd finished off while showing the mask. Trixie looked at Jake and questions "You mind trying to come up with an explination that doesn't sound totally bonkers?" however it was Raven who spoke up next stating "I've heard tale of Dreamwalking Magics but to be able to take something out of the dream that's a first." she'd told the group pointing out that she knew of dreamwalking magic.
07 "For now you should focus on your schoolwork and Dragon Training, it is almost time to start the new school year." Lao Shi then stated with Jake realizing the time saying "Oh crap, we're gonna be late!" freaking out a bit as he did so. "Allow me." Raven then spoke up summoning her black energies in the shape of a bird that wrapped itself around them. We then cut to the alleyway just outside the school where the energies rose up from the ground and dropped the group off returning to Raven's shadow.
08 They'd gone in and made it to their classroom where they'd had a new teacher there instead of Billie which the group takes notice of though she seemed nice at least. "Greetings Class, I'm your new homeroom teacher Sun Park, and I believe we have a new student joining the grade as well. Would you like to introduce yourself too?" the new teacher spoke introducing herself before then gesturing to Raven asking if she'd like to do the same. Raven stands up and says "My name is Rachel Roth." though that was about all she'd said, however the student named Brad looks her up and down and says "Woof."
09 Both Harrison and Den point their pinkies at Brad calling "Boltflare." in whispers as Jake blew fire into his closed hands so no one would notice and flicked a small bit of it under Brad's chair hitting the Boltflare spells causing a popping sound that made Brad jump and trip over with his desk and people began to laugh at him. "Alright everyone please to your seats that's enough." Ms. Park spoke getting everyone's attention as Raven sat down again after having told the class her name was Rachel.
10 They'd had class and once it was over the teacher asked Jake to wait for a moment while everyone else headed out. We see that Brad was trying to talk with Raven however she'd just opened her locker and struck him in the face with it by 'accident' and says "Oh, sorry I didn't see you there." and then she'd used her strange colored energy abilities to tie Brad's shoes together while he was distracted and put her things up getting what she'd need for dealing with her homework.
11 Jake had come over after talking to the new teacher for a bit and asked "You guys all ready?" which he'd gotten a nod in response to. They'd once more gone to Lao Shi's shop and Jake questions "Fu, you got any idea how Dreamwalking magic works?" hoping he could contact Rose again. Fu however says "That'll take some time before we can get the necessary ingredients." Lao Shi however interrupts saying "For now young dragon there's a Krylock on the loose at the Pier that you must defeat."
12 "On it." Jake called with a nod and left to go and deal with that. We then cut to over at the Pier where Haley was at along with Danielle and Cujo trying to help get people to safety. "Alright everyone this way, hurry." Danielle had called while in her ghost form directing people away from the pier while Haley had used her dragon claws to slash through a couple of poles making them fall on top of what looked to have human faces but the boddies were all wrong.
"Nice going, Gramps just said something about here, you girls keep helping the civilains I'll try to find the Krylock the rest of you guy are on containment." Jake then called to the group.
13 "Hey how do we know if we see this Krylock anyway?" Harrison questions, which Jake responds to saying "It's the only one of these things that doesn't have a human face. The rest of them we gotta contain but try not to harm them too much they are still human under all that." explaining the plan. "I've heard of the Krylock the venom turns others into it's own kind, take out the original everyone turns back to normal." Raven then spoke up having known about the creature as well.
14 "Azarath Metrion Zinthos!" Raven then called unleashing her black energy with the white outline grabbing a bunch of those that were mutated and pulled hard slowly forcing them together into a single spot and once done Den called out "Doublespell Stopglue!" and began to cover them all with a magical gluelike substence holding them in place. "That's not gonna hold them for long." Haley called out however Harrison says "I can double the time though Augerfrost!" and blasted at the glue solidifying it with the icy blue spell.
15 Danielle had led a bunch of the infested into the big top tent and blasted the poles so that the tarp would come down on top of them phasing out so that she wasn't caught too. Jake meanwhile had finally found the Krylock just after it'd stung a girl over at the kissing booth with Brad in line questioning "You ready to pucker up for the Bradster?" just as the girl was mutating into a creature like the others that were bit. She'd responded "I sure am." and opened her mouth full of now razer sharp teeth and stuck out her mutated tongue that had it's own set of teeth prompting Brad to smirk and call "Jackpot."
16 Jake meanwhile had been battling with the Krylock and managed to snap it's scorpion stinger backwards and then forced it to sting itself causing the creature to cry out in pain as it's venom caused it's body to melt from the inside out in a burst of toxic flames which had returned the people to normal now that it was gone, we see the others hurrying away as the spells were wearing off and spot Brad kissing the girl from the booth seeing that she'd returned to normal and stating "Oh ya, The Bradster's got that magic touch." before then kissing her again.
