Peter Parker(Spider Man)
Aleatha rested her head on my chest. She shook her head. Then she took a deep breath and sighed.
"Spidey, I, I've known who you are for over a year." She tensed.
A year? She's known ever since the spell was cast. Does that mean that she never forgot me?
"You've known who I am and yet you didn't tell me, why?" Aleatha sagged against me.
"I saw you, MJ, and Ned after it happened at the coffee shop. I saw you trying to tell her. Watching you that day made me realize that you wouldn't tell her who you were because of the danger you would be putting her in. I realized you wouldn't tell anyone for fear of the danger you would be putting them in. That's when I realized that I couldn't tell you I knew who you were. I didn't know what you would do. Keep me around, go back to Strange and have him make me forget you? I couldn't handle that, Spidey. I also couldn't handle the fact that I may be responsible for unraveling the spell if you knew I knew. If anyone knew. I've known you since we were in high school, Spidey. I've liked you since high school. I couldn't let myself forget you and yet I couldn't scream to the rooftops that I remembered either. I didn't know what to do, Spidey. I'm sorry." Aleatha placed her hands over the one I had around her waist.
She turned her head up towards me. I saw the turmoil in her eyes. All the anger had dissipated that I felt. I knew Aleatha. She was wicked smart. If she had even the slightest inkling that her knowledge of my identity could undo what Dr. Strange did, she would keep it quiet. I took my other hand and cradled her right cheek. She bit her lip. I let my thumb glide over her lips.
"Spidey?" Her tongue slipped out to lick her lips and it brushed against my thumb.
I pulled my hand away and ripped off my mask. Her eyes slammed shut almost too late.
"Aleatha. Please open your eyes?" She bit her lip.
She looked hesitant, but did as I asked.
She smiled at me, "Hi."
I felt like I was choking. She remembered me. It wasn't a lie or a figment of my imagination. My mind wasn't playing some sick twisted joke on me. Someone really remembered who I was. I couldn't help myself. I kissed her. She gasped and kissed me back. She turned herself around and wrapped her arms around my neck. I gripped her waist and pinned her to a wall. I felt her moan against my lips. She wrapped her legs around my waist. Then she pulled away for air. She looked gorgeous. She bit her lip and shook her head.
"We shouldn't be doing this," I frowned, "why not?"
Aleatha looked really sad, "for one thing, you and I were best friends. Two, you never noticed that I liked you in high school. Three, your probably still in love with MJ. Four, you only kissed me because I remember you."
She looked away from me. I looked down at where our bodies were connected. She felt amazing, but I wasn't just kissing her because she remembered me. I noticed her every night while on patrol. I would watch her relax and smile the moment she saw me. I waved a few times and she waved back. I gripped her face and made her look at me. She looked so torn. So sad and yet she looked angry as well.
"Aleatha, I didn't kiss you just because you remembered me," she bit her lip, "I kissed you because I saw you every night. You were always there no matter how late. Sometimes you would even fall asleep. I saw you for you, Aleatha. You remembered me, but didn't say anything for the world's safety. If that isn't a hero, then I don't know what is, but I love you Aleatha. I wouldn't have kissed you if I didn't."
Her eyes were filled with tears. She wrapped her arms around my neck and started crying. Her face was against my shoulder. I kissed her head.
"I've got you. Just let it out." Sobs followed.
We had both been alone. Even though she still had a relationship with MJ and Ned it wasn't the same because she remembered me. I thought I was all alone and I bet deep down she did too. I sat down with her. It seemed like hours before she finally stopped crying.
"Aleatha?" She mumbled something and held on tighter.
I was able to get a glimpse of her face. She was asleep. I smiled and put my mask back on halfway. I stood up with her and took her back to her apartment. I laid her down. She held onto me tightly. She didn't want to let go.
"Shhh, I'll come visit again. Go to sleep, Aleatha." She let go.
I covered her up and kissed her forehead, "G'night Spidey."
I chuckled, "see you later, beautiful."
I would be back.
