Backup Season 02 Episode 06

After what Raven had explained to them about Trigon she and the rest of the tem had taken off from school to find some way to stop this from happening. Den had been digging around in all sorts of information on Titans trying to hopefully someway somehow find some sort of titan can could stand up to them should they fail to stop them from appearing at all. He'd seemed to find something looking at a book with a skeletal Titan with a scythen and hourglass that might be able to help somehow.

Due to his tiredness he'd slowly began to slip off to unconciousness sleeping at the desk only for a moment, of course a moment was all that he'd have to do anything as he'd been suddenly startled awake as something hit the table causing him to snap awake and look around confused as he didn't recognize anything that was around them.

"What in the..?" He'd questioned surprised by the strike on the table and looking around seeing that he was surrounded by people that he didn't recognize.

"You dare infiltraite the camp spy?" One of the guys spoke angry however Den just looked confused not knowing what was going on. "Do not pretend you are innocent, who are you?"

"Isn't that the mark of the Casterwill?" Den then questioned gesturing to the symbols on their armored chestplates. "Wow you guys are outdated with that armor."

"This armor is the best in the land what are you talking about?" The man that ad called Den a spy then questioned growing angry "And tell us who you work for I will not ask again."

"Dude, chill out. I work for the Huntik Foundation damn." Den spoke growing annoyed by this guy speaking to him that way. "I doubt Sophie would be too appriciative of you talking to her friends that way."

"Sophie?" The other man spoke confused seeming to not know who whe was talking about "I do not know a Sophie nor of the Huntik Foundation." he'd stated not getting it.

"You're kidding, Sophie Lambert, head of the Casterwill family?" Den had answered back now being the one that was confused.

"You should do more research before you try your tricks spy. There is no Sophie Lambert and even if there was only Casterwills can become head of the family." The suspicious guy then spoke thinking as though he'd caught them in a lie.

"Dude, her name was Sophie Casterwill when she became the leader of the family." Den sighed in annoyance to this guy's actions.

"Viktor, that's enough. I know how to get the truth from them." The second more calm man spoke revealing the angry guy's name in the process. "Oathmaker." they'd then called with their eyes giving off a blue aura from them.

Den had stared into them ready to tell them whatever they wanted to know, however he would have done that anyway so it didn't reall matter.

"Now, let's start with something simple. What is your name, and where are you from?" The man that cast the spell then questioned him.

"My name is Den Fears, I currently live on a City Island known as Mahattan in the state of New York." came the answer which had confused them as they were unaware where that is exactly.

"And where is this state located?" They'd then questioned him wanting to know more before adding in "And who specifically do you work for?" at the end.

"New York is a state located in the country known as the United States of America. The United States are most of the continent of North America." Den answered back about that with them giving him strange looks. "I work for the Huntik Foundation as I have already said, we preserve ancient secrets and try to keep Titans out of the hands of Seekers that would like to use them for undesirable and evil reasons."

"You CLAIM that you know the Casterwill family yes? Who exactly is this Sophie you keep talking about?" Viktor then questioned looking at Den wanting answers of his own.

"Sophie is a member of the Huntik Foundation and a child of the house of Nobles, along with being the current leader of the Casterwill family. Though born Casterwill she has gotten married to Lok Lambert." He answered back giving them the answer which seemed to be the truth thanks to oathmaker, though it's possible this was just what he truly believed.

"Who is his Lok Lambert?" The man that casted the spell then questioned them wanting to know just what they were talking about.

"Lok Lambert is the current Wilder of the Willblade and Champion of Casterwill. He's Sophie's chosen Knight and husband. Lok as a his last mission has taken the spot of Number One Seeker for the Huntik Foundation as well as the single most powerful Seeker on the planet." They'd answered back with them looking confused hearing all of this.

"Final question, why are you here?" He then asked Den wanting to know how he'd gotten there at all.

"Honestly, I have no idea. I was studying how to stop an interdimension demon known as Trigon and found something about Kronos in a book that said it was lost to time and fell asleep. Then I woke up here to you guys yelling at me." Den answered truthfully as he really had no idea.

"I believe you. My name is Michel de Notre Dame." The guy that cast the seeker spell then spoke to Den, which he'd raised an eyebrow to.

"You realise you just said your name was 'Michel of our lady' yes?" he then questioned the man finding it strange to be called by a name like that.

This made Michel let out a hearty laugh similar to that of Montehue's before saying "I like this one." finding it amusing to have their name pointed out. "We were on mission to collect Kronos as we have recently discovered where it was and if what you say really is true you're welcome to tag along.

"But if you try anything I won't hesitate to kill you." Viktor then stated as well with Den shrugging that off and made a gesture for them to lead the way.

"Alright, but I need to use them for what's upcoming." Den agreed but says he'll need to use Kronos himself when they get to it.

They'd headed off together to discover Kronos and what exactly they would have to do to get it taking some supplies in backpacks in order to make sure they had what they needed to get to the titan that the three were now after together. They'd come to the first obstacle which was a large gap with a torn rope bridge, which they'd looked down to see how deep it went.

"Looks like the bridge wood is in decent condition." Den then stated to them checking out the bridge that was dangling and began to pull on it to slowly move the opposit end up to them.

"What good will that do when the rope is cut?" Viktor then questioned wanting to know why he was doing that not seeing a point in doing so.

"Just watch and see. Shoot them down, Cursed Archer!" Den then called once he'd gotten the other end of the bridge to him bringing forth his titan that used the bow and arrow. "Cursed Archer I need you to help get this end across the gap."

The Titan nodded and they'd tied the ends onto two arrows and launched them across striking the poles on the other side. However Kronos didn't seem sure saying "I don't really trust that to hold up too well Arrows can fall out easily."

"Ya, but I'm not done yet. Stop me if you've heard this one. ROPETRICK!" came the response from Den as he'd sent out a yellow aura through the rope that had caused it to twist about from the arrows and tie itself into large sturdy knots on each end of the gap. The two others seemed impressed by that and Den says "It's a pretty common spell where I'm from."

"I will have to remember that one for my writings. Tell me, if you were to get Kronos what would you do with them exactly?" Michel then asked wanting to know how Den would use such a titan.

"Obviously to help my friend. Maybe I could like find out what day it's supposed to happen and then use Kronos to send her to the day after so that it can't take place, or maybe go back to before the mark was put onto her and stop it from happening. Hell, at the very least they'd be a strong Titan to help give her a couple more seconds to escape so that my friend can get away from Trigon." Den then answered simply as if that was obvious and they'd gone up to a mountain.

"Atop the mountain will be the ring." Viktor spoke up telling them that's where they would find Kronos' ring to get the titan which Den seemed surprised by.

"That's it just, get to the top? I'm used to elaborate death traps, though I suppose you guys haven't developed them yet. Race you to the top." Den then spoke to the other two who'd let out smirk and turned to go.

Viktor and Michel both called out "Powerstride!" and began to jump up onto various stones using a more powerful version of the spell Hyperstride.

Den however then cracked his knuckles and called out "Nimblefire!" with his legs glowing with an orange color and he'd taken off running stepping onto the side of the mountain and just kept going running straight up the mountain instead of jumping like the other two were doing.

When Den had passed the two of them they'd been caught by surprise which in turn had caused them to lose their consentration and had slipped from the stones they were on. Though Michel had managed to gather himself without falling Viktor wasn't so lucky and had started to fall off of the stone and back towards the ground with nothing to keep him from impacting however Den had noticed.

"Spidertouch!" He'd then called stopping himself from running and sticking to the side of the cliff dangling by one arm and turning to aim his free arm down towards Viktor before calling out "BUBBLELIFT!"

This had Sent a blue energy down towards them which wrapped him into a bubble that had slowed their fall to a stop and then began to lift them back up towards the stone where he'd been on previously before vanishing dropping him down onto the rock safely. "Gotta watch yourself." Den called out to the two of them before turning back to the cliff wall. calling "Nimblefire!" once more and taking off agian.

The other two had given chase and we see that Den had managed to get to the ring first. "Looks like I win." He then threw over his shoulder grabbing the ring and starting to try to bond with it, it'd been incredibly painful as he'd never bonded with a legendary titan and so hadn't had the chance to brace for just how bad it would be because the others made it seem easy to him. "Come on, damn it I need your help I wanna save my friends. ALL of my friends, work with me!" he'd demanded as the pain began to subside.

"Seems you've managed." Michael spoke walking over alongside Viktor who'd nodded in agreement with what happened. "You said Kronos was lost to time, maybe that's because you took it to your time."

"Maybe, so what now?" Den then questioned looking at the ring on the middle finger of his hand not sure what to do next now that he has the thing.

"Now? Now you go home." Viktor spoke answering the question as both he and Michel gave him a shove sending him falling down the side of the mountain.

Den suddenly had snapped awake in the study at the same desk he'd been at when he'd discovered information on Kronos and questions "Was, was that just a dream?" unsure how to process it and looked at his hand finding the ring of Kronos on the middle finger of it. "Guess not, I'm counting on you to help save our friends now."
