Backup Season 02 Episode 08
Vlad had taken Danielle with him in order to go and find Raven and to get his revenge on Trigon for the doublecross. Meanwhile the others had gone to distract Trigon from what he was doing so that he wouldn't take notice of Danielle going to get Raven free from where she'd being held, and in his annoyance he'd pulled negative coppies of the team from out of theirselves in order to do battle with the others. It'd been painful for these copies to appear but they'd still have to fight so that they could buy Danielle as much time as they could.
"You pests were left alive only because my daughter wanted it so." Trigon warned them saying it was due to Raven they were still alive. "Now, let us see how you handle against your own darkness."
A swirling white colored energy blasted out wrapping around the copy of Cujo and then pulled them closer as they'd been sucked into a metal cannister revealing Den had used the Fenton Thermos to capture them. "Fairly well I'd say." He'd stated to Raven's father with a smug sorta look on his face.
We then cut to Danielle and Vlad who'd been blasting at fire creatures taking them out with their ghost powers. "Pets of Trigon, nothing that a family duo of half ghosts can't handle." Vle'd stated with Danielle looking annoyed.
"We are not family." She'd told him as they'd continued fighting against these so called pets in order to get deeper into the way.
Back with the others they'd been fighting against their duplicates with both Den and Harrison holding up their rings with the latter calling out "Rise from the Depths, Legendary Titan of the Deeps Grand Dragon Leviathan!"
While they were calling their Legendary titan so was Den as at the same time his brother had been saying that Den called out "Control the Sands of Time, Legendary Titan of Time Kronos!"
The two had summoned forth their titans with Leviathan appearing once more and Den calling forth a titan that appeared to that of a grim reaper of sorts with reddish puple armor with gold trimming and an hourglass danging low from a chain around their neck. The two's coppies had tried to do the same as them, however the power had overwhelmed them and caused them to destory theirselves.
"No equivalent to a Legendary Titan." Harrison spoke with a smirk as he and his brother then turned towards where the others were fighting off their coppies as well.
Kronos had stopped the copies in their tracks freezing them in that moment of time so that they couldn't fight back and Leviathan charged attacking the copy of Haley first since they were the closest and destroyed them. Haley then went with Leviathan to the copy of Lao Shi as they'd destroyed them too, then on to the copy of Sun, and Jake's copy soon after. The only one left to take down would be the copy of Ship and everyone had blasted at them breaking them apart including Ship himself.
This annoyed Trigon to have the coppies defeated so easily and he'd waved his hand making the cannister that had the copy of Cujo shake and rattle around slowly denting and releasing steam from it before then shattering and unleashing a giant demonic beast from it. "Let us see how well you do against this without your toy." He'd then spoke letting the beast loose on them all.
In respone they'd cracked their knuckles or whatever else they could crack if they didn't have them, we then cut back to Danielle and Vlad coming to a fork in the pathway. "You'll find your friend down that path. What I seek is in a much hotter place." he'd told her with the two splitting up.
Danielle had gone down the path through what looked like a broken down church finding someone in a white cloak running and tripping. She'd removed the cloak finding what looked like a much younger Raven questioning "Who are you?"
We move back to the others fighting and a plane flies into the beast and explodes and someone parachutes down to the ground throwing off their parachute when they get there. "Sorry I'm late." the person spoke revealing that it was Rose finally arriving.
"Rose!" Jake called in a relieved tone as he'd flown on down to talk. "I'm glad you're a okay, after everything I thought something might have.."
"I'm fine Jake." She'd answered back as the beast let out a dangerous roar and we cut back to Danielle with the little girl.
"Don't worry, I'm a friend. I'm here to help get you out of this scary place." Danielle spoke holding out her hand to the girl and they'd taken it though scared.
Back with the others the beast had continued to attack them while they'd done everything they could to stop it. Kronos could hold them for a few seconds but not much more than that and so Den called them back to rest. Leviathan had wrapped itself around their neck and tried to snap it squeesing the life out of them, or would have if it hadn't been a ghost and phased from them grasp biting down and causing them to return to their amulet as well.
Trigon had began laughing saying "Mortals are so entertaining, fighting even when they've already lost." as we then cut back to Danielle with the younger Raven.
"How about a story to pass the time?" The half ghost questioned as they were moving to leave this place. "It's about a girl named Raven, a friend who is dear to me who'd give anything to save those she cares for. Together we fought monsters and bad guys and saved many people."
As they were telling the story the place began to crumble apart and Danielle phased herself and Raven through the rubble. getting above it and to a safe spot with the girl questioning "Danielle, why are you doing this?"
"You remember?" the half ghost questioned wanting to know if Raven hadn't fully forgotten them yet.
"A little, it's in pieces but I remember no one can stop Trigon, my powers came from him and since he's done with me I don't have them anymore. You came down here for nothing." Raven answered telling them that she'd wasted her time.
"It's never a waste to save a friend, whether you have your powers or not. We'll never give up the fight so long as a single person lives there's always a chance." Danielle told her flying them out of there as we cut to Vlad fighting against a guarding of sorts phasing through them and blasting the guardian with the ectoplasmic fire.
Back with the others they'd continued fighting against the beast with ghost rays blasting out at them distracting the beast and allowing them to get away finding a safe spot to rest for a bit they'd found Danielle there with Raven and they'd began to explain everything to them.
"So that's it, Raven doesn't have her powers anymore?" Den questioned with Danielle nodding in response to what he'd asked. "Well, at least we know she's safe now."
"So, we just give it one final assult now.. One final hit. Either Trigon goes, or we go." Harrison spoke and the others seemed to nod in agreement to the sentiment and they'd gone over to Raven putting his hands on her shoulders. "Raven, no matter what happens, remember this is your story, not Trigons. When the time is right you'll know what to do."
Trigon had lifted up the stone they were using for cover and says "What strange vermin cower beneath my rocks. It is by my Daughter's wish that all of you live, but continue your attempts and I will have no choice but to destroy you despite the agreement."
The four Dragons all look at one another and they all unleash blasts of fire directly into Trigon's face and eyes making him drop the stone and back up rubbint the irratant from his eyes as something begins to happen. Strange energies began to crackled in a single spot as they gather together into a sphere and then shatter revealing a person that'd been somewhat familiar now falling from it, however they'd stopped before they could fall much further and looked around taking in the schene before glaring at Trigon.
"What new pest is this?" The Demonic lord questioned as the person looked pissed and cracked his knuckles and neck ready for a fight.
"Way-X." They'd spoke in a familiar tone pressing the two green arm braces together and changing into a form like that of a To'kustar but with strange purple hazy star clusters inside their body with the only noticable features being that of their brown colored eyes glaring at Trigon now just as all as he was.
The Beast had tried to attack Way-X but was pimpsmacked into the air and blasted with energy that looked like space and stars but with a green outline on the two sides of the blast much like Raven's energy being black with white outlines. His blast had vaporized the beast in one go.
We then cut back to Vlad and see that he was standing next to a gem that had an orb imbedded into it saying "The gem's return from evils fire shall save us all from Trigon's ire." and then proceeded to blast the sphere shattering it and cracking the gem causing it to unleash various energies that had flown off to.. somewhere.
Raven was watching as they'd actually been able to hurt them and when Trigon tried to blast them with rays from his eyes Way-X created another blast pushing it back until they were about evenly matched and the energies Vlad unleashed wrapped themselves around Raven who'd aged back to her normal state.
Raven then blasted flew above the blast that Way-X had created and her eyes had glown white along with her energies now being pure white as she'd called out "Azrath Metrion ZINTHOS!" combining her energies with that of Way-X as they'd overwhelmed Trigon's attack and blasted him in the chest sending him flying off and crashing into a pit of lava.
He'd stood up angry and walked over towards them as Raven then called "Enough is enough, I won't be used by you or anyone else again. These people are my family, and this world is my home. And I WON'T let you bring harm to them any more. AZARATH METRION ZINTHOS!" She'd then called unleashing a powerful blast of blinding white light that erupted all around her.
The light had erupted and had moved all around them returning this world to normal as she'd then floated down to the ground with the now human sized Trigon picking himself up while everyone prepared to attack waiting for his next move, though instead of retaliating he'd been.. laughing? It was a strange thing to see Trigon laughing expecially since it seemed to be a genuine sense of joy that he'd been letting out, they weren't sure if this was a good thing or a bad thing.
"You have grown strong Rachel." He'd spoken reaching for Raven and putting his hands onto her shoulder. "I am very proud of you. I will leave this world and restore Azarath once more to it's previous state."
"You wanna act like a father now?" Raven then demanded with tears starting to swell in her eyes. "REALLY?"
"I have always been a father my child, though you may not have known. Your mother, and your friends, I left them alive for you because that is what you wanted." He'd then told her confusing everyone "I thought it best for you to rule alongside me, all parents make mistakes believing they know what's best. But now I see, you know what is best for you."
This had completely surprised them totally caught off guard by Trigon's twisted sense of love for his daughter since they never would have believed that he truly did care for her and a strange mystic circle had appeared and a woman in white that looked like she could pass for an older version of Raven appeared. This had again surprised all of Raven's friends for everything they'd been hearing and seeing today.
"Mom!" Raven then called running to the woman and hugging her, which the woman had returned hugging her back glad to see that she was okay as they'd both cried glad that it was over.
"Azarath has been returned to normal, all the people are back now." Raven's mother spoke about their home in the other dimension.
"You've done a fine job raising our daughter Aralla." Trigon then spoke revealing the name of Raven's mother to the group walking over to them and actually hugging Raven. "Before I go, is there anything you'd ask of me, either of you?" he'd questioned the two of them as he'd stood back up, even human sized he was still taller than Raven and had to bend down when hugging her.
While Aralla had shaken her head no Raven had spoken up rubbing he upper part of her arm close by the shoulder with the opposite hand saying "Actually, there is one little thing that I'd like to ask." and the two look to their daughter wondering just what that is.
We then see sometime later as the team were dressed in much brighter attire and Den had taken to wearing a shortsleeve, even Raven was now wearing brighter clothing instead of her usually dark attire as they were all preparing to head off on another mission with Ben talking to them on the main Com and see that Albedo seemed to be a little older than Danielle and Haley instead of previously beeing around the same age and now was sporting a red and silver shirt very similar to the shirt that Ben wore when he'd first got the Omnitrix.
They'd all hopped aboard Ship in his spacecraft form and he'd flown off across the sky with Haley and Jake waving while doing something with their Dragon masters Lao Shi and Sun who'd also waved along with Fu Dog too. We then see Rose setting up a new shop talking to some people who'd been moving furniture to where she was telling them to.
We then see Aralla talking to some children and acting as what appeared to be a teacher and it seemed to be story time as they were gathered in a circle sitting cross-legged on the floor looking up at here and we move to see a photo with a shining white light on one side obscuring some of the image though we could see that it was Aralla with Raven and her daughter was wearing some sort of gown in the photo.
Moving to Trigon in his demonic lair he'd been hodling something while sitting on a throne and sat it down and began to walk out of the throne room and exiting onto a large cliffside where he'd seemed to be pointing and yelling out orders and we see demonic beings that looked like the ones that Vlad had called Trigon's pets.
They'd all been flying around and flew off towards where he'd ordered them to go and we fade back into the throne room and see what it was Trigon had been looking it. It'd been an image that was half obscured by the glowing Red of the magma all around them though the part we could see was himself with Raven wearing the same gown that she was wearing in the image with Aralla.
Finally we move up further and further until we see a bright blue sky and see it fading into that of an organish hue as we spot Ship in his spacecraft form flying by and they'd flown on down back to the house and into the landing pad letting everyone out as we see Cherit had actually ordered pizza for supper that night and they all go to sit at the table happy and enjoying whatever conversation they were having.
We move away from them slowly following Raven as she'd stretched letting out a yawn and heading on back to her room where she'd sat onto her bed and looked at a photo that she'd had framed sitting next to her bed on her nightstand. We could see the full photo now and see Trigon on one side, Aralla on the other. Aralla had a hand on Raven's left shoulder while Trigon had one on her right shoulder, and we see that the gown Raven was wearing had a square cap with it and she was holding up some rolled up paper showing it was a graduation photo and that both her parents had attended her graduation and she'd actually looked happy with them.
