It was hard to imagine that a place like Sweet Jazz City would be the subject for not just ONE or two but three sets of thieves after the artefacts inside it's grandiose Museum; The Banzai Blasters led by Giovanni Potage were squaring off with Mera Salamin and Indus Tarbella for the Arsene Amulet while the notorious menace to the Police and to the bounty hunters chasing her; meanwhile unbeknownst to the others, the infamous Phantom Thief would after something just as valuable inside the Museum.

—HOURS EARLIER—

"Epithets….Some people have them, Some people don't….A specific word gets bonded to your soul and as a result of this; you get to do….stuff…so kids, what are people called if they don't have an Epithet." A tired looking dark haired girl would say as she was guiding a mob of school kids on a tour of the museum who would unenthusiastically grumble back an answer; "A Mundie, that's correct….you know this because you're NOT four years old…..and if you DO have an Epithet then you are what's known as 'Inscribed', now who among you has an Epithet of their own?" She would ask the crowd of youngsters plus a blondehaired, starry bearded man-child bouncing up and down.

"OH! LITTLE GIRL RIGHT HERE! SHE'S GOT ONE! Go on Molly, show her your stuff!" he would yell and try to get her attention as said little girl was trying her hardest to either deflect attention or pretend she could hide as a pot plant, however she couldn't as the Guide would saunter over with a forced look of excitement; "Oh gosh, you do? that must be amazing, only one in FIVE people have an epithet….so, what does your's do?" she would ask, the woman towered over the bear-hoodies girl as she shyly kicked her feet.

"Oh uh….it's nothing….it's Dumb." She would stammer out as she was not comfortable being the centre of attention, especially when it came to her Epithet.

Thinking that she was being non-confrontational; the woman would cross her arms under her name tag: Mera, "Come on kid, I'm not paid by the hour here….you see that girl over there?" she would ask, pointing to a similarly dressed woman with tied up dark hair and wearing glasses over her tired, scarlet eyes who looked like she was monitoring the other exhibits and also talking to a taller, heavily muscled man holding boxes; "Yoko over there is a Mundie but she still manages to get by, so come on….why not spi-"

"OOH! OOH! I HAVE AN EPITHET I CAN SHOW!" The giant man that she had pointed to was bounding over with a box in hand to enthusiastically include himself in the tour.

"Not now Indus." Mera groaned as she pinched the bridge of her nose, she was trying to get back on track with the tour but unfortunately for her; the other kids seemed to have their energy back as they asked the big guy to show off his epithet.

"Hey, Indus….You got boxes to move remember?" Yoko would say as she walked over to try re focusing Indus while he declared his Epithet as "BARRIER!" and summoned one up in front of everyone….and consequently dropping the box filled with artifacts for the kids to start scrambling and grabbing what they could.

"HEY! GET OFF OF THOSE YOU LITTLE GREMLINS!" Mera would yell at the kids as she waded in to prise the kids off of them but had her work cut out when the supposed "Chaperone" had jumped in to grab the treasure too, glaring over at Yoko and Indus; "HEY, YOU TWO! Don't just stand there, help me with this!" She would bark at the two as she stopped another kid from biting her.

"You should probably handle this one big guy….you did drop the box after all." Yoko would say to the big guy as she pat his thick arm; "Besides, I need to get the exhibit for the Arsene Amulet ready and it'd be pretty bad if the amulet was in there." Yoko explained to him as he nodded in deep thought, or at least looked like he did.

"That is true, Miss Yoko….The Arsene Amulet would be very valuable because it can steal Epithets….and you don't have an Epithet…So you could have a reason to steal it." He would say with an oblivious tone that made Yoko twitch her brow in annoyance; "But Lady Mera needs me so I shall go help her!" He would proclaim before adding to the chaos at hand while Yoko headed behind the doors into the back room of the museum.

"No Epithet, he says….I'd like to see that musclehead try and handle being a Mundie." She would mutter and grumble to herself as she stacked up models and boards for the Arsene Amulet's exhibit; "Besides, that Amulet's powers are a myth…there's no way that something like that could be real."

Hours would pass as Mera, Indus and Yoko had closed up the Museum for the night and transitioned from guides to Night Guards as the well known Criminal group known as the Banzai Blasters broke into the Museum in an attempt to steal "Treasures".

—Present Time—

Indus was using his barriers and poses to step up against the Banzai Blasters who were holding Molly hostage after she woke up after hours, Mera was in the backrooms with Yoko as they were hunting for the Amulet to take themselves; "I can't believe this, out of all the times that someone could ruin this, it had to be the time that the Amulet is at the Museum!" Mera would rant as she watched the security cameras to see the Blasters wandering the Museum, "Yoko, please tell me that you found it." She would groan as she was aching from rifling through boxes.

"Can't say I see it….but why don't I go out and check out the other parts of the museum….I can look for the Amulet and find some other things for us to steal too." Yoko would suggest with a smug grin as she peered up from her box.

"Because we're not here for a shopping spree Yoko! you got us in the museum so that we could steal the Amulet and I'm not going to let you follow THEIR example of walking out with literal tons of artefacts! Besides you're still a Mundie, there's no way that you can stand up to those losers even if they suck just as hard." She would remark with Yoko glowering at her as Mera backhanded her with insults.

"Better a Mundie then having your epithet, you fragile little butterfly." Yoko snapped back at her, causing the dark haired girl to turn away and stomp over to Yoko; Mera jabbed a finger under her chin as the taller woman smirked at the display; "Besides, You want to steal stuff just as much as I do…the only difference is that the thing I want to steal is a real thing and not a myth." Yoko would taunt her as she saw Mera's face growing red in anger at Yoko's snark; "Besides, you're like a little kitty when you're angry~" she would add with a smirk.

"You….You're lucky that Indus isn't here otherwise I'd have you thrown out….but I do need the extra hands….and I can at least count on you to act smart." Mera would grumble as she calmed back down again, "Fine, go get your little trinket and look for the Amulet…The amulet's more important though so either come back WITH it or not at all."

Yoko waved her off; "You got it sweetie…besides, I promised remember? I get my piece and you get the Amulet." she would say before smirking widely and then very quickly kissing Mera on the lips; the sudden closeness and the fact that she had the gall to follow through made Mera's Epithet activate, sending a spike of glass forward at her with Yoko backing off out of reach with a blush speckled smirk on her face and then sneaking off into the "Upcoming Exhibits" section, leaving a beet red Mera screaming to herself and frustrated about how Yoko was able to not only push her buttons but also finding it hot when she did.

"Alrighty, now I got that out of my system….Let's find us a Ruby~" Yoko would hum to herself as she ventured past the dinosaur bones, history books on Inscribed figures and ancient weapons.
