Corrin adored both of her families. She was elated that she found a way to unite them. And she was the uniting force. They united under her. However, she was terrified that she'd also be the force that divided them as well. Many people in her army, including some of her siblings, were married and had kids. Corrin was no exception. She was engaged. However, she wasn't sure if her family would approve of her soon to be spouse, Rhajat. She had no idea what her family thought about the idea of girls marrying girls. The idea that she could lose her family terrified her. She had just managed to meet her Hoshidan siblings, and she grew up with her Nohrian ones.

Corrin hadn't always known about her attraction to girls. She couldn't really process a feeling of attraction when her contact with the outside world was so limited. It wasn't until the war started that she realized gender didn't really play a part in her attraction. She met so many handsome men and beautiful women, but she didn't have too much time to focus on it. She had a war to win after all. She was so sheltered that she didn't even know that it was a polarizing way to live until she talked to Leo's retainer Niles, and found out about his trauma. Including some of the things he went through because of his attraction to men. It made her want to keep it to herself. Considering how highly Leo thought of Niles, she figured he'd be okay. She reconsidered when she saw how he treated his son Forrest. While as far as she knew, he was only attracted to women, it still hit a bit close to home.

She figured it'd be best to avoid bringing it up. She'd marry a man and never have to think about it again. And yet, she couldn't hide it anymore when she fell for Rhajat. Rhajat was the most beautiful girl she had ever seen. She was the most beautiful person she had ever seen. Despite how quick to anger she was, she was also incredibly sweet and kind. She was loyal, Corrin knew she'd never have to worry about losing Rhajat. Not to mention that just being around Rhajat was a lot of fun. She considered suppressing her attraction to her, but she couldn't. She had to have Rhajat as her wife.

She loved Rhajat too much to just hide her. She knew they could have a quiet marriage and pretend she didn't reciprocate. Rhajat would act the same whether Corrin married her or not. But she felt Rhajat didn't deserve that. To be treated as if Corrin was ashamed of her. She had to face her fears, and tell her family about her attraction. Rhajat insisted she do that as well, considering that bottling it up was hurting her. She even said she'd hurt anyone who didn't accept her, to which Corrin had to tell her that she'd prefer she didn't.

Corrin struggled to figure out how to break the news to everyone. She considered buttering them up first but didn't want to come off as manipulative. She laid down on the bed in her home and sighed. She couldn't get the horrifying thought out of her head. That her family would leave her. Or they wouldn't look at her the same way again after they find out. She wondered if this wasn't a good time to be worrying about it anyway. They still had a war to win. Despite it, her mind was so heavily focused on it.

Her fiance entered the room, which Corrin didn't even notice until she closed the door. Corrin shot up, and calmed down when she realized it was her. Rhajat looked at Corrin with concern. "You seem tense. Did it not go well?"

"No... I just haven't told them yet..." Corrin replied with a sigh.

Rhajat walked to the bed and sat down next to Corrin. She gently pushed Corrin's head into her lap. "You know if they don't accept you, they're not good family in the first place."

"I guess but... I don't want to lose them."

"Mm." Rhajat grunted. "I can understand that. They're your only family after all with your scumbag father being... your father."

"Yeah..." Corrin had given up on trying to get her father's approval the second she was sent to die. She knew that it wasn't entirely him, he was possessed. But Rhajat still couldn't stand him.

"I'll take down Garon and that monster controlling him myself if I have to." Rhajat said darkly.

Corrin giggled. "I appreciate it Rhajat. Say... how'd it go with your family?"

Rhajat blushed. "They... were fine."

Corrin sat up. "They were fine? What do you mean? Are they only tolerating it?"

Rhajat shook her head. "No... they were just embarrassing. Saying things like 'oh Corrin is so blessed to have you' and Father saying stuff like 'I trust Corrin but if she hurts you...'"

Corrin smiled. "Oh Rhajat, you're just not the best at accepting affection are you?"

Rhajat blushed again. "Well... I can accept it from you anytime..."

Corrin kissed Rhajat on her cheek. She then looked upward. "What are we gonna do about my family though? How should I tell them?"

"I don't know... perhaps it's best to just be straight with them. That's what I did with my family. But I guess on the other hand they knew the whole time. I never particularly made my love for you a secret." Rhajat mused.

"To be fair, I may not have noticed otherwise." Corrin replied. "You walk to the beat of your own drum Rhajat. I wish I could be like that. You don't let people's opinions of you hold you down."

"...Sort of." Rhajat admitted. "If Father or Mother didn't accept me... I'd have been devastated. But if it was some random man in a village I wouldn't give him the time of day. Maybe hex him or something..."

Corrin smiled again. "That's still better than me." Corrin dug her hands through Rhajat's hair. While they both had long hair, Corrin couldn't help but love how straight Rhajat's was. To Corrin, Rhajat was just so effortlessly pretty. She wasn't sure how anyone could think she wasn't gorgeous. She understood people finding her scary, even if she personally wasn't afraid of her at all. She knew that Rhajat could be trusted. That she'd never turn traitor. Corrin experienced enough betrayal to last a lifetime.

"Hm... it's probably better to tell them all at once." Rhajat thought aloud. "Perhaps some of the more accepting members of your family could help with some of the lesser accepting ones. Is there anyone in particular you're worried about?"

"All of them but... I think I'm mostly afraid of Leo and Xander. Leo because of his son and Xander because he was so close to our Dad. And I doubt my Dad would be particularly fond of knowing I'm in love with a woman. So I wonder if my Father would have instilled that onto him."

"Yeah... and it's never been challenged most likely. But if he is like that, he adores you almost as much as me. I'm sure his love for you will be stronger than any negative preconceived notions." Rhajat explained. "As for Leo though... I don't care for how he treated Forrest if I'm being honest..." While they started out rocky, Rhajat found herself rather fond of him. He was probably her best friend. "At the same time though, he did come around. If his stubborn ass can accept Forrest, I'm sure he'll accept his precious sister."

"Yeah... yeah maybe you're right..." Corrin mumbled. She wasn't entirely sure of herself, but she knew Rhajat at least had a point. "I... I think I wanna get this over with. Will you come with me?"

"Of course. I'll walk through hell with you." Rhajat said with a smile.

Corrin always loved how Rhajat could make intimidating compliments sound amazing. "Thank you." Corrin leaned in and kissed Rhajat on her lips. She stood up holding Rhajat's hand, and the two left Corrin's room. They climbed down and entered the astral plane. Corrin let go of Rhajat's hand, and the two left to go find one of her siblings. They figured that one of them could find the others. Upon a bit of searching, they came across Corrin's younger Hoshidan brother.

"Takumi!" Corrin exclaimed.

"Corrin?" He raised an eyebrow. "You seem excited. Something wrong?"

"Hm... not really just..." Corrin stuttered.

Rhajat started giggling, creeping out Takumi. "Just, grab your siblings and meet us at Corrin's house. She has something she needs to tell you."

"Uh... sure." Takumi said with a nod, and walked away.

Corrin smiled at Rhajat. "Thanks... I was really trying to spit it out."

"Anytime... my soulmate." Rhajat started giggling again. "I just... I can't believe that we're going to be married. It's actually going to happen!"

Corrin started giggling with her. "It sure is. Now come on, let's go wait for everyone."

"Sorry I'm late, was a bit busy." Leo said as he walked into the room. "Huh, everyone else is here."

Rhajat looked around the room. "Looks like everyone's here." She looked to Corrin. "Now, will you be okay to tell them? Or should I?"

Corrin put her hand up in front of Rhajat. "No, they should hear it from me." She stood up and glanced at everyone as they waited. Sakura in particular looked a bit concerned, but Elise put a hand on her shoulder to calm her down.

"Okay so... you guys know Rhajat..." Corrin began. "She is... uh..." She began to blush as she started playing with her hair. "Super pretty, as you can see. And cool. So..." Corrin took a deep breath. "I'm... going to marry her! We're engaged and I like boys and girls! I hope this doesn't change anything between us. I hope we can remain one big happy family..." Her heart started racing. No one said anything. Her chest tightened with anxiety. Rhajat looked irritated, and she was about to say something before she was distracted by Camilla walking up to them.

Camilla embraced Corrin and Rhajat in a tight hug. "I'm so happy for you two! My little sister is getting married, I've been waiting so long for this day!"

"Oh gods..." Rhajat seemed to be running out of breath.

Camilla let go and smiled at them both genuinely. "I think I speak for all of us when I say I wish you two the best."

"Yes." Xander added. "I'm happy you've found someone who makes you happy little princess."

"Agreed." Leo said with a smile.

Elise jumped in excitement. "I'm so happy for you two! I get a new big sister to go with my other ones! This is the greatest day of my life!"

Ryoma walked over to Corrin and placed a hand on her shoulder. "This is a new chapter in your life. We'll be there for the two of you no matter what."

Takumi sighed. "Ugh. I thought it was going to be something way worse than you guys getting married. Sheesh, but I'm happy for you guys."

"If you're happy, I"m happy. Just take good care of her Rhajat." Hinoka folded her arms and smirked.

"Y-yeah! I can't w-wait to see the wedding!" Sakura stumbled.

"May you two have a prosperous life together." Azura finished.

"So... you guys really aren't mad?" Corrin was elated, but a bit in disbelief.

"Why would we be?" Azura asked.

"I mean... we're both girls... I thought at least some of you would take offense to that..." Corrin admitted.

"Oh please." Leo began. "There's no way any of us would abandon you over this. Wait a minute... Is this because of Forrest?"

Corrin nodded slowly.

"Ugh... I'm really sorry about that. I... didn't handle that the best I agree. Sorry that I made you think I wouldn't accept you. But I accept both of you, no matter what."

Rhajat looked at the family with a smile of approval. Corrin spread her arms out for a group hug. The war wasn't over quite yet. There was more to be done. They never knew what battle would be their last. She was glad to let that out. Now not only did she get to live life with both of her families, but also her beloved. Camilla, Elise, and Sakura couldn't stop talking about wedding plans. Corrin was glad that it worked out in the end, and that she truly would live happily ever after.
