What's up, guys?! It's me, Chirith and I am back with a RWBY fic. Don't take this seriously but I will do my best to write this. I have been busy with college and so on.
Anyways, this fic will be inspired by numerous fanfics and if you see something familiar, that means that I took inspiration from them. One of them is Some Random Shitty Rambler's All the Differences in the World. Solid A-tier fic. As well as, Coeur's forged Destiny, another awesome fic.
Mostly crossing over with the Elder Scrolls cause why not?! Might not be directly and completely canon-compliant to the real deities since I only focus on games.
The class system developed by the numerous deities of the location called Remnant was both a boon and a curse. While numerous, they were all categorized through two things, Non-combat and combat classes.
Combat classes, just like their names suggest, were far better at fighting compared to non-combat classes while Non-combat classes are far better in their respective specializations than others. Due to Remnant being a land where countless deities give their blessings to people and a lot of monsters that ravage or help the lands, numerous kingdoms have popped up. Numerous religions are practiced and so forth.
Sadly, not everyone is blessed as outside the cities, laid villages, and other kinds of civilizations that have to fend for themselves due to numerous reasons.
Thankfully, not all is lost. A religious order of knights operated outside the jurisdiction of the kingdoms, a gathering of people that wanted to help each bound by a deity of their own. Originally a small group of people, the organization soon grew and a new deity soon joined their group.
As their deeds grew, their name spread throughout the land, the Knights of the Nine with the blessings of the nine divines known as Akatosh, Arkay, Dibella, Julianos, Kynareth, Mara, Stendarr, Zenithar, and Talos, the newest deity to join.
Dark forces of numerous dark deities are on the rise as the kingdoms prepare their armies while maneuvering their own politics and greed. Despite this, the wheels of destiny and fate move forward as a lone Novice Ranger finds himself in a farming village.
"Ah, greetings adventurer," A kind old man said with a smile as he entered the sizable village outside the walls of the nearest kingdom
"Greetings," the young man greeted kindly, the shade of his hood protecting him from the heat of the sun's rays. "Do you know where the inn is or a place I can stay for the night?"
"Well, head to the inn, traveler," The old man said with a smile.
"Thanks..."
"Call me Skjor," The old man said with a smile.
"Skjor? You're from the North?" the young man asked as he looked at the old man, his dark eyes shining with curiosity.
"Aye, lad. Born and raised in the Solitas wilds. Moved here to be with my wife, bless her soul." Skjor said with a solemn voice only to chuckle as he caught something without looking.
"Stop trying to kill me off, you dastard!" An old woman, the same age as him shouted.
"Well, I better hope you forgive me for leaving to escape your wife's wrath," The young man said with a smile, only for the old man to laugh out loud.
"Nah, I'll say you're wiser than most, now get going, lad." Chuckling, the young ranger walked down the streets, observing the houses of the village, even seeing a blacksmith shop and an Alchemy shack. Wrapping the green cloak around his form, the young man smiled as he looked around the village, it was different (in a good way) compare to the cities.
Asking some villagers about the location of the inn, the young man smiled as he finally found it. That was until he noticed something. Lowering his hood, the young ranger's short dark hair danced in the wind as his dark eyes focused on some younger people,
"I am Jaune Arc, future dragon knight of Akatosh of the Knights of the Nine!" The boy of ten with golden hair and blue eyes cried out, raising his wooden sword triumphantly. The young man raised his brow as he watched the way the boy's hand (although inexperienced) held the wooden handle with ease.
"So, you finally visited?"
"Captain Tai!" The young man greeted him with a smile as the two took each other's hand in a handshake and a manly embrace. "Yeah, I finally had enough time to do so,"
"I am Ruby Rose, the Crimson Rose of Mara!" A young child with two-toned hair of red and black and silver eyes cried out. A dim light pierced through the young man's bag. A glove-covered hand dug into the bag and pulled out a simple cord connected to a red diamond.
"That's-" Tai-Yang Xiao Long, a knight of the nine whispered at the pendant on the young man's hand. "But... who..."
"Interesting," the young ranger whispered as the pendant died down, and for a split second, he saw the blonde-haired girl with amethyst eyes. "Her. Your firstborn, Yang. But that boy..." Dark eyes widened as he noticed something. The blonde child was someone he should keep an eye on.
"Other than Yang... who are the others?"
"Dibella and Julianos chose their Champions, meaning out of the nine, six spots are free,"
"Very well, Grandmaster Cruz of the Thieves Guild."
"You honor me, captain," Cruz said with a smile. "I am but a courier for the Knights of the nine," Cruz smiled as he watched the kids play and for a split second, he saw a diamond, soaked red, appear over the boy's form.
Phew, finally done with the chapter. This might be short but since this is just an intro... well, it will just get better.
I hope that you will like this fic.
Good bye for now.
P.S.:
Jaune would not be a champion of any of the nine.
If you know, you know.
