Tekken 6: About the Story – Chapter 4 – Master and Pupil
America
During The King of Iron Fist Tournament Five,
"What can I do for you as your mercenary?" Bruce asked Kazuya.
"I want to take over G Corporation, Will you aid me?" Kazuya asked Bruce.
"Just teach me how to do it and it will be done for you." Bruce replied.
The G Corporation, controlled by Kazuya behind the scenes, began a war with the Mishima Zaibatsu. As the leader of a private force reporting to Kazuya, Bruce traveled the globe, eliminating Mishima Zaibatsu operatives.
When Kazuya's plan to destroy the Mishima Zaibatsu began, the G Corporation put a bounty on Jin Kazama's head. Then, just as expected, the Mishima Zaibatsu made its move and announced The King of Iron Fist Tournament Six. In spite of the obvious ambush that awaited him, Bruce entered the tournament for a chance to capture Jin and the reward.
Japan
During The King of Iron Fist Tournament Five, Ganryu lost his way and accidentally stumbled into the research laboratory of the Mishima Financial Group, and, in the laboratory, found the disc containing data for the Reforestation Program. Believing he finally had what he needed in order for Julia to accept his proposal of marriage,
In front of the water, Ganryu waited for Julia to appear and when she did, he presented the disc.
"Here, take this." Ganryu handed over the data.
"Thank you, with this I'll be able to bring back the forest."
When Ganryu pulled out an engagement ring held in a small box, confessing his love for her, but she was already gone.
Afterwards, Ganryu returned to Hawaii and established a restaurant (specializing in Sumo cuisine) called Chanko Paradise. However, the restaurant didn't take off as he had hoped. Around that time, it was announced that The King of Iron Fist Tournament would be held once again. Seeing this as an opportunity to promote Chanko Paradise, Ganryu decided to participate in the tournament to do just that.
America
After recovering her stolen data, Julia completed her reforestation research. She was headed back to Arizona to meet with a party who had agreed to assist in the realization of her reforestation plans.
Waiting for her there was a prominent Arizona land owner, and old woman who claimed to have the ability to hear the voice of spirits. With the help of the old woman, the reforestation plans were on track to be realized. However, when Julia got up to leave, the old woman made an ominous prediction. "Jin Kazama and Kazuya Mishima must not be allowed to clash. If they confront each other, a source of great evil will be resurrected and unleashed on the Earth."
Julia was skeptical of the old lady's prediction. However, after hearing news that the Mishima Zaibatsu has sponsored The King of Iron Fist Tournament Six on the flight home, the danger seemed much more imminent. Julia decided that she would enter the tournament.
Japan
Eddy failed to win The King of Iron Fist Tournament Five.
"I beg you Jin, I need to save my mentor. But for it to happen he'll need a special medical treatment. You're powerful enough to manage to do that, you're the head of Mishima Zaibatsu." Eddy was in despair.
After a moment's contemplation,
"All right, I'll help to develop a medical treatment, but I'll ask something in exchange. I want you to join the Tekken Force and report to me." Jin said to him. Eddy knew nothing about the Tekken Force, other than it was a private military outfit.
"I agree to join if it means saving my master." Eddy replied
Eddy became a member of the Tekken Force and carried out plans of destruction around the world. Even though he knew the consequences of his actions, Eddy was unable to leave the Tekken Force.
When the Mishima Zaibatsu announces The King of Iron Fist Tournament Six, Eddy entered the tournament as a member of the Tekken Force in order to eliminate those who would threaten Jin.
Christie was unable to win The King of Iron Fist Tournament Five. She was struggling to discover a way to save her grandfather when Eddy Gordo, who had been loyally by her side, suddenly vanished without a trace. She searched everywhere for Eddy, but she was unable to find him. Ultimately, Christie was left with no choice but to return to Brazil alone.
Brazil
Christie continued her search for Eddy when she returned to Brazil. Surprisingly, her grandfather also disappeared from the hospital, allegedly sent to the Mishima Zaibatsu for treatment. Christie figured that Eddy's disappearance was somehow connected with the Mishima Zaibatsu, as well, but she couldn't put it all together. When The King of Iron Fist Tournament Six was announced, Christie headed for Japan to get in contact with the Mishima Zaibatsu and to gather clues about the disappearance of Eddy and her grandfather.
Japan
Baek joined The King of Iron Fist Tournament Five along with his apprentice, Hwoarang. After he learned that his student had been critically injured by his rival Jin Kazama, Baek withdrew from the tournament and hurried to the hospital. Emergency measures were taken and Hwoarang's life was saved, but he was unconscious. "(I have failed to prepare Hwoarang for his encounter with Jin.)" Baek thought. Hwoarang woke up three days later, and when he learned about the events that had passed, he forced himself out of bed and proceeded to find his master.
"I beg you master to train me and make me stronger." Hwoarang was almost crying.
Baek, sensing the intensity of Hwoarang's will, dedicated himself fully to developing his pupil's abilities.
South Korea
After they returned to Korea,
"Hwoarang, you'll have the most extreme training regimen I had ever designed." Baek said to his pupil.
The Mishima Zaibatsu announced The King of Iron Fist Tournament Six as Baek trained both himself and Hwoarang for the ensuing battle.
Japan
Hwoarang succeeded in defeating Jin in The King of Iron Fist Tournament Five. However, in the next instant, the defeated Jin let out an inhuman roar and Hwoarang was thrown through the air by violent winds. Sprouting black wings, Jin stood before him… looking just like a devil. Extremely outmatched, Hwoarang was prepared for death as he lost consciousness. When he awoke, he was in a hospital bed. After hearing about what happened from Baek Doo San, Hwoarang pushed away the nurse and quickly rushed to his teacher, begging for more training.
After he left the hospital, Hwoarang trained with more vigor than ever before. Intent on defeating his former rival, he left for The King of Iron Fist Tournament Six.
China
Feng Wei joined The King of Iron Fist Tournament Five to recover from the Mishima Zaibatsu the Shinken scrolls, secret records of the mystical Art of the Divine Fist. He broke into the Mishima Zaibatsu's secret vault and retrieve them. Rather than secrets techniques, Feng was surprised to find out the scrolls were devoid of detailed fighting instruction; but, rather, contained only one teaching: The one who destroys all other fighting styles and makes them his own shall become a warrior superior to all men, the Dragon God.
After the tournament, Feng spent his days traveling the globe and fighting against warriors of various martial arts styles. One day he heard rumors of The King of Iron Fist Tournament Six. Seeking to expand his power, he headed for Japan to join the competition once again.
