Arthor's Note to the Reader:
This is a brand new story was and is going to take some time to think through the whole story. This story came about while reading several FFN stories with Harry Potter. They include Harry Crow, The Potter Coven, Silver King and many other just to name a few. I want to let everyone know right now that I am not a perfect writer and everyone has their own thoughts with opinions. That is fine by me, however if anyone who says anything close to a slander to my family will not be very well received and I will respond with my own thoughts. If you want a good story to read then may I suggest going out and buying a book like J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter collection. As I do enjoy writing in my spare time, I must say that I do not make any money by my writing and put all my stories up here on FFN for free for those who want to read a story for fun. If you don't like this story or any others then my advice is to write your own at it. AGAIN! we as writers do this for fun and for free so people like you have something different to read.
That being said and some may not like this, however this is my own thoughts and warning. If you don't like it then tough deal with it. As for this story every chapter will be coming out once I have it down and also I will not be using any notes to keep track. Every chapter will be different and might get confusing but that is the price you pay for not using any notes. I do much better in my writing when I don't have to always look at notes, but I will how ever be using some looked up information on things that might be in the story. There will be bashing on characters such as: Albus Dumbledore, Severus Snape, Molly Weasley, Ginevra Weasley, Ron Weasley along with many others. The pairs will consist of: Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, Daphne Greengrass, Pansy Parkenson, Cho Chang, Fleur Delacour, Narcissa "Cassie" Black, Helena Ravenclaw, Ariana Dumbledore and an OC character. For the adult pairing it will consist of Sirius Black with Amelia Bones and OC Character. Remus Lupin will stay single because of his fear of harming a potential wife. Nymphadora Tonks will be cousins to Harry and will have an OC Character for a boyfriend. I can't think of anything else to say so please enjoy this brand new story.
The Quest Of The Potter's Prologue Part 1: Before the Sorcerer's Stone; Lilly and James's Story
(Sunday, August 20, 2000: In Muggle London:)
Princess and Lady Lilly Marie Potter was holding a very active baby in her arms as she sat on the grass in a park with her loving husband James. To anyone who walked by the young 21 year old couple they were the storybook picture of a prince and princess. The only thing that really made them stand out was the ornate tiara on top of Lilly's auburn hair and the really fancy clothes they were wearing. Her husband James was a thin man with raven black hair and wore thin rimmed glasses and a sash across his chest going from his right shoulder to his left hip. The three of them stood out sitting on the grass in the park. It wasn't just what they were wearing, but a large bird twice the size of a swan was sitting next to Lilly keeping a close eye on the baby wiggling around in her arms. Anyone who past them sitting on the grass could see the bird who had golden eyes, a golden beak and claws the same color. It's feathers were a soft orange and yellow while at the tips was a fiery red. No muggle knew that this bird was a fabled creature known as a phoenix, the bird of fire. This bird was a gift from Newt Scamander the foremost famous Magizoololgist in the world. He gave Prince and Lord Harry James Potter the phoenix just days after Princess and Lady Lilly Marie Potter gave birth to her son. No one in the muggle world knew that magic was real and so were witches and wizards. There were only a select few who knew that witch and wizards were real and so was magic. MI6 and of course the royal family were the only ones in Britain along with the prime minister.
200 years previously: Do to a failed assassination attempt on the king of the muggles over 200 years previously. The king at the time was saved by a witch, wizard and what they said was a goblin. The King was grateful for their service in saving his life and that of his wife and children. He offered them some type of reward but they simply refused saying that they would meet each other again. Sure enough a few years later after the attempted assassination they met once again with another failed attempt on a country road away from prying eyes and ears. This time the king wouldn't take no for an answer on a reward. The witch, wizard and Goblin then sat with the king, queen and their now teenaged children telling them all about witches, wizards and magic. Of course the royal family didn't believe them at first, but once they pulled their wands and made teacups appear out of thin air it was hard to not believe them. The king right then and there told the witch, wizard and goblin that their secret and their world would be forever known only to the royal family and those who were entrusted with secrets. At least that was how the story went and to this day it was held up by both parties one always helping out the other in secret.
In the present: Lilly reached out and held onto her husband James's hand while still holding onto her son Harry. She had a small weak smile on her face as they waited for 16 of their friends to show up today at the park they were at. Lilly couldn't remember when they all became such close friends. She knew James, Sirius and Remus were like brothers growing up as children. But how in the world did Gryffindor's, Ravenclaw's, Hufflepuff's and Slytherin's became friends in the first place. Lilly knew throughout their years going to a magical school in the mountains of Scotland called Hogwarts, it was well known Gryffindor's hated Slytherin and Slytherin hated Gryffindor's. Hufflepuff's were the mediators while the Ravenclaws were known to simply open a book and read. When Lilly started Hogwarts her parents Martha Lily Evans and Johnathan Linden Evans who were both well respected in both the magical and muggle worlds told her that it didn't matter what house you belonged to because magic was all about intent.
Lilly made a friend named Severus Tobias Snape three days before leaving for Hogwarts. It was great for Lilly to have a friend that could do magic like her, but there was a down side to her young life as well. That downside was her adopted sister Petunia. Lilly's parents sat down with her when she was old enough to understand saying that Petunia was not a witch like her or her mother, but she actually is a muggle. They explained that they adopted Petunia after her parents were killed by someone who broke into their home to steal from them, but was caught and they shot her parents while she slept. They told her that just because she was a muggle didn't mean that she was not loved or excepted for who she was and Lilly felt the same way towards her sister. However when she was six that all changed when her magic started to show with a vengeance. Martha and Johnathan were amazed at the level of skill and control their daughter Lilly had when she just made a goldfish appear in a bowl of water just by thinking about it, and she didn't even have a wand yet.
Martha of course scanned Lilly and what she saw shocked not just her but her husband Johnathan. Lilly had a magical core that was beyond the magical index scale. They weren't afraid of her but they needed to get to the bottom of this before she headed to Hogwarts when she turned 11. They gathered up Petunia and Lilly before heading to the only people they knew who could give them answers, the goblin king and queen. The Evans family made their way towards The Leaky Cauldron and Diagon Alley, but what happened next was the biggest shock to everyone involved. As they all walked through a local park they heard someone screaming for help. They rushed to see what was going on and that's when they saw a sight they would never forget. Standing in the middle of the park was the goblin king and queen with two of their royal knights fighting off a group of twenty men. Without thinking Lilly shouted and all the men just disappeared. Martha and Johnathan didn't know how or why the 20 men disappeared after Lilly shouted. Martha looked down at her daughter seeing tears in her eyes.
Both parents even though worried about Lilly they figured it was because what Lilly did was because she was scared of the men. The Goblin king and queen were shocked and impressed by the little girl because she just unleashed a shit ton of magic. They both knew that Wizarding children could sometimes unleash their magic when frightened, scared of something or even angry. But here was a little girl who wasn't just frightened but she had some very good control of her magic. Normally with the magic that the little girl unleashed a whole city block would be destroyed and many people would either be injured or worse dead. The goblin king and Queen eyed the little girl as her mother tried to comfort her as she was apologizing for losing control of her magic and she didn't want to go away. After Lilly's tears stopped ten minutes later Martha looked at her other daughter Petunia and saw fear as she backed away. Just as Martha looked up and bow to the king and queen a squad of Aurors showed up.
The goblin king and queen quickly defused everything and then vanished with the Evans family. They all soon showed up in the Goblin nation and immediately the goblin king ordered a heritage test and a magical core test. It took two hours and the goblin King had the answer that the Evans family was looking for. It turned out that the Evans family was descendants of Lady Guinevere, Cadmus Peverell, Rowena Ravenclaw and Helga Hufflepuff. They told the Evans family that they knew of one family who was just like them giving the name of Potter. The queen looked to Lilly and then back to her mother coming to a decision. She wanted to adopt Lilly into the goblin royal family. After shocking her family stupid the goblin queen explained that Lilly would be given her wand early and would be taught everything she needed to know on how to act as a princess and lady fitting her station. She would have the best clothes from Italy and France but also keeping her humble roots and her loving kind heart. With Johnathan being the owner of the bank of Britain and the owner of Grunnings Drills he was a very busy wizard. Martha also had her hands full being a Medi-witch and the one to first use a magical scan to detect pregnancies and the cure for morning sickness.
After a very long discussion with the goblin king and queen Martha and Johnathan excepted on a few conditions. They were that Petunia was given the same as her little sister, Lilly would come home on the weekends sharing joint custody, and the last one was that if anything should ever happen to them Lilly would be fully adopted into the Goblin Royal family for her own protection. The Goblin king and queen agreed, they immediately made the contract and both parties signed it sending one copy to Muggle London, one copy to the ministry of Magic and they kept the main copy for themselves. In the contract that they all signed it stated that any children Lilly would have in the future would guarantee that her children and any of her blood would carry the title of prince or princess no matter how thin it got. For five years Lilly enjoyed being a witch and a princess. She had really fun goblins to play with and learn from but despite that she noticed her sister Petunia was showing more and more of a jealous side. Petunia would always go running to their mother on the weekends when Lilly was practicing her magic like she was told too, but seemed to never get into any trouble.
Lilly and Petunia really never got along after that point and it really hit home when she left for her first day to Hogwarts. Lilly got onto the Hogwarts Express for the first time on platform nine and three quarters with every pair of eyes on her. She stood out as she wore her tiara on top of her auburn hair and she wore a powder light blue dress to make her bright emerald green eyes stand out. Lilly was every boys fantasy being so beautiful and this made her very shy. She soon perked up seeing someone she already knew getting onto the train. She gave her parents and one reluctant sister a hug and kiss goodbye before climbing onto the scarlet steam engine. The ride to Hogsmeade six hours away was pleasant for Lilly sitting with her friend Severus. The only down side was a stuck up boy sliding their compartment door open and Lilly saw three other boys with him. After a few choice words they left in a huff, but Lilly really didn't care. She was just happy to have Severus as a friend. When they all reached Hogwarts and they were all sorted Lilly became a Gryffindor with the Sorting Hat announcing Lilly as Lady Ravenclaw Hufflepuff to the entire school. When James was sorted he too became a Gryffindor with the Sorting Hat announcing him as Lord Gryffindor Slytherin. Lilly of course rolled her eyes knowing she had seven long years with an arrogant boy and she hoped that she could stay away from him. Both James and Lilly were given all four founders apartments away from the other students the day of their sorting from the sorting hat itself announcing it to the entire school. Severus Tobias Snape became a Slytherin.
When the sorting hat made the announcement this caught the bright blue eyed headmaster Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore's interests. Dumbledore however didn't say anything, but his facial expressions spoke volumes. He was one pissed off headmaster because he wanted Hogwarts for himself and would go to any lengths to get it. Albus ruled over Hogwarts like he owned the place high in the headmaster's office behind a stone gargoyle not leaving it unless he wanted too. Albus would always use any magical means at his disposal he could get away with. That was including using the Confundus Charm, Cruciatus Curse, obliviating memories, Compulsion Charms and even diving deep into peoples minds. It didn't matter to Albus what he did to anyone because he always thought he knew better then everyone else. No one dared to standup to him since he was the one who defeated Gellert Grindelwald which made him a hero to magical Britain. They gave him The Order Of Merlin: First Class, Grand Sorcerer and Supreme Mugwump. However he wanted more, he wanted power. He wanted Hogwarts and the Chief Warlock of the Wizengamot seat, with everything else his titles gave him meant that he would be untouchable from anyone. Then he could sit back in the shadows to play the master manipulator. However since James and Lilly entered Hogwarts they were always known as Lady Ravenclaw Hufflepuff and Lord Gryffindor Slytherin. The two people stood in his way of everything, and he wanted what they had. Every time he came near them they were either blocked by the house-elves, professors or students. Albus once tried occlumency on Lilly, but he very painfully found out how strong her mental shields were when she threw him back making him slam into a stone wall. Albus knew James was the heir to Gryffindor and Slytherin as well as holding the Chief Warlock of the Wizengamot seat. Lilly was no slouch in her own right being the heir to Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff. With that much power they could do anything they wanted but never used such a thing. They both exceled at Charms, Transfiguration, Potions, Defence Against the Dark Arts, Arithmancy and Ancient Runes. The most fun both Lilly and James had was the Quidditch matches as James played Seeker for Gryffindor.
Through her years at Hogwarts Lilly slowly grew apart from Severus and gained more friends eventually falling in love with James. By Lilly's fourth year at Hogwarts James asked her to be his girlfriend which she happily excepted with a passionate kiss. She curbed his pranks with the help of their friends. She introduced James to her parents and older sister as her boyfriend over that summer. She even introduced her friends as well. Lilly's parents were happy to see Lilly come into her own and having such wonderful friends. She even introduce them to the goblin king and queen. They were ecstatic but the one person she wished would be happy for her was her sister Petunia. Slowly over time Lilly and James fell more and more in love and by the middle of their fourth year both Lilly and James were strongly dating being inseparable. They were side by side always together and never apart unless they had no choice. They were always supported by their close friends and professors.
Molly Prewett and Arthur Weasley were in the same year as Lilly and James, however Molly was always wanting to be with James since he was filthy rich, a lord to the Potter house and fortune, Lord to Gryffindor and Slytherin along with other titles he had under him. She really didn't care since the only thing he had going for him was the money she always wanted. She knew with all that money it could make her family really powerful and her word could become law. She was now jealous of Lilly being on the arm of James since her thought was that was where she belonged instead of her. Molly tried everything to get James away from Lilly with no success. Molly was caught stealing from Lilly's school bag pulling out her blue heart diamond neckless she received as a gift on her 12th birthday from her adopted mother by Lilly, Astoria Black-Bell and Jean Watson. The neckless was in her school bag so it could be sent out to the goblin who made it for its monthly cleaning. This action caused Molly to go in front of a full Wizengamot embarrassing her parents. From that day Molly stayed quiet and kept her head down waiting to take her revenge against one Lilly Marie Evans who took what she thought was rightfully hers. She knew one way or another she would get it even if the bitch had brats. Molly stuck very close to Arthur to make it like she was keeping her head down dating him. Everyone in Hogwarts knew that Lilly Evans was James Potter's girl, and you didn't want to be on his bad side by hitting on her. Some of the guys learned how vicious James and his friends could be. They either found them hexed stupid or hanging upside down in the air with their pants and underwear around their ankles with the words "Pervert, Sicko, peeping tom and I suck dick" being sprawled across their foreheads.
When James was playing quidditch he would do some of the most stupidest stunts on his broom which scared the living shit out of Lilly. However with the golden snitch in his hand he would always fly over to Lilly kissing her stupid placing the snitch in hers saying I love you. Every guy in Hogwarts was jealous of James especially one greasy haired snake going by the name of Severus Tobias Snape. What Lilly and James never knew and neither did magical Britain was a force was gathering quietly in the shadows that would one day force magical Britain to their knees. Of course rumors were whispered about throughout Hogwarts and Magical Britain about some new following calling themselves Death-Eaters and a war coming. The rumors of Rape, Murder, Arson, torture and a few other things were all anyone talked about. Lilly and James didn't know how these rumors everyone was talking about would affect them personally on an emotional scale.
One day Severus Snape cornered Lilly and showed her his arm saying that if she joined him and the Death-Eaters they could be together and be the strongest couple in the world. He even told her that the tattoo could not be placed unwillingly by any means, which meant that you had to be willing whole heartedly. Lilly scoffed and told him she was dating James and she was extremely happy with him completing who she was as a witch and as a woman. This didn't go over to well with Severus and as she went to walk away from him, but Lilly was grabbed roughly by her arm and then slapped so hard she fell to the ground. Severus saw the fear in Lilly's eyes and took advantage hovering over her ripping off her blouse and bra exposing her breasts to him. Lilly lost all of her train of thought as Severus licked his lips in a perverted manor. Lucky for Lilly James, Sirius, Remus, Astoria and Professor Flitwick came around the corner. Before Severus knew what happened he found himself blown back crashing into a wall with force. When he looked to see who threw him back he noticed Sirius, Remus, Astoria and Professor Flitwick standing in front of Lilly with murderous intent as James was knelt down checking on his girlfriend.
James and Lilly wanted to press criminal charges, but Albus Dumbledore didn't allow the ministry to get involved which pissed off all the professors. Severus only got detention for three months and 300 house points taken away. From that day onward Lilly and all of her friends stayed completely away from Severus and the Headmaster as much as they could. Lilly did write home to her parents and to her adopted parents. This helped in keeping Severus and Albus away from them since they received howlers for over a month straight. Every morning at breakfast everyone laughed as at least four howlers landed in front of Albus and Severus opening up before letting lose then tearing up into little pieces. Even the professors laughed even though they tried to hide it, However it was no use. They just couldn't contain what was a daily occurrence. Severus never stopped trying to get with Lilly or Albus trying to get both James and Lilly alone. It was now a more of a challenge then anything and kind of a headache for them both.
During the end of Lilly's fifth year Lilly thought her life couldn't be better. What girl wouldn't be happy when she had a loving family, a great boyfriend, loyal friends who supported her and she was a princess to the Goblin Nation; Lilly's life was every girls dream and she was living it. Without knowing Lilly's life took another turn for the better when she got the shock of her life. With permission from Professor McGonagall to leave school for one night they were off. James took her to France to do one thing very special that he was planning for months. On top of the Eiffel tower James got down on one knee and popped the question opening a box which had the Potter, Gryffindor and Slytherin ring inside. She took a few steps back noticing that he was the heir to Gryffindor and Slytherin. She remembered that fateful day when she found out that her family was the heirs to Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff. She even remembered being told that the Potters were the heirs to Gryffindor and Slytherin, but she totally forgot when she started dating James. With tears in her eyes she shook her head and said yes when she knew any children that they would have would be named Prince and lord Potter and Lord Hogwarts provided they had a son. If they had a girl they would be Princess Potter and Lady Hogwarts. Once the lady Potter ring was slid on her finger a gold light appeared around them before shooting through the Eiffel tower like a thunder bolt before shooting into the night sky disappearing as they kissed. James and Lilly quickly vanished and went straight to her adopted father to explain what happen and what it was that they saw as the muggles down below them panicked. Of course her adopted father laughed his ass off before explaining that they were soul bonds and it would be passed down to their children. Once they understood they were given hugs by the king and queen before they left. They appeared in the Evans kitchen where a now retired Medi-witch was making a pot of tea as her father was sitting down at the kitchen table reading the Daily Prophet. Petunia moved out in the middle of Lilly's fifth year to attend college. However she dropped out only three weeks later complaining it was too hard, so Johnathan had her start work as a secretary in his company, Grunnings Drills. Of course she wasn't the best secretary, actually she really didn't work at all. Petunia just sat behind her desk filing her nails as she pushed her work onto other people. This caught the attention of one man who was young in Grunnings Drills. He knew if he could attach his name to the Evans he would be owner of the company one day and boss people around showing how important and big he was. This man was none other than Vernon Dursley and he looked like a walrus.
In the Middle of Lilly and James's fifth year they had to leave on a family emergency. Lilly and James got word about her father having a heart-attack do to working too much and he was at a muggle hospital being cared for by a witch and wizard there in secret. Once Lilly and James got permission to leave they made their way to the hospital. Lilly hugged her mother and sister before they met Vernon Dursley right there in the hospital waiting room. He was the one person who captured Petunia's heart. Lilly could see that this Vernon was one to boast and get his way when things didn't go his way. He even looked like he had no imagination and he looked like a walrus. Lilly introduced James to them and hoped things would be civil, but that didn't happen. Vernon took one look at Lilly and James before passing his own judgement. He thought these people were very strange and he didn't like strange. Vernon sure made his opinion known with how he bellowed at the two of them for wearing the clothes they had on. What the fat walrus didn't seem to realize or see was Lilly and James were dressed just like he was, but with an exception. Lilly was wearing her tiara and James was wearing his sash and both had the Goblin Royal Crest on their clothes. Lilly figured that he maybe didn't even care to notice as James got nose to nose with the walrus not afraid to fight for Lilly's honor.
Martha and Lilly tried to keep both James and Vernon to not fight in the hospital or the fact that James wanted to curse the blowhard of a walrus in front of muggles who were looking at the two of them. Their biggest concern was Lilly's father and if he would make a full recovery. Lilly looked over at her sister Petunia who smirked with her arms folded not standing by her own family in their hour of need. Lilly read her sister's mind and was shocked to hear her own sister say that she hoped Vernon would punch Lilly's boyfriend so hard it would snap his damn neck. Lilly didn't say a word but sighed in heartbreak as she grabbed James by the arm holding him back from Vernon. The only choice that was open to Lilly and James was to leave as to not rows anymore stares from the muggles and disrupt the patients in the hospital. Lilly knew that just because James was skinnier then Vernon he couldn't hold his own in a fight. She didn't want to have her future husband in Azkaban for splattering Vernon's guts all over the hospital walls. Lilly gave her mother a hug and told her to let her know what happens with her father and then walked up to the front desk and paid for all of her father's medical expenses before leaving.
Throughout James and Lilly's schooling Albus always thought of ways to talk with either James or Lilly alone or together. With her goblin honed instincts she made sure to keep her friends as far away from Albus Dumbledore as she could. When Lilly and James married over their summer before their sixth year things changed. When they returned to Hogwarts their name changed to Lord and Lady Hogwarts which in turn gave them respect from most to all of the students and staff. They never showed off unless Snape caught the ire of James making him pull a prank or two. Some saw James and his friends as a bully, but when Lilly explained that Snape was being creepy James and their friends took action to protect her as a witch, wife and a woman. Most of the students agreed with James and his friends actions even though it landed them in detention on several occasions. Of course Albus Dumbledore took more of an interest in James and Lilly's personal lives which creeped Lilly out to no end. Lilly by chance one day was able to slip past Dumbledore's mental shields. It happened on a day he was distracted by dealing with Hogwarts issues. She saw how all he wanted was to control Hogwarts and the Wizarding world. She even saw that he would do anything to get what he wanted. What Lilly worried the most was the fact that Albus Dumbledore wanted everything the Potter family owned and that included Hogwarts castle itself.
Before the end of Lilly's sixth year her sister got married to Vernon and she was sent an invitation telling her not to come, which honestly broke her heart. That same year during the summer Lilly sent an invitation to her sister to her wedding in hopes of mending the broken fence between the two sisters. All of their friends helped her and even James said he would do his best to keep himself in check. However when it was the day of her wedding Petunia and Vernon never showed with no explanation given, again this broke Lilly's heart and she now knew that there was no way to fix the rift between the two sisters. The wedding was pushed back until Lilly was once again emotionally stronger. After two weeks of crying and having the emotional support from James, her parents, friends and her adopted parents Lilly and James had their royal wedding getting married. A week after James and Lilly were happily married Petunia sent her a letter and in the letter she stated that she was giving up her lifestyle and she couldn't stand having a sister as a witch. She said in the letter to never contact her again and pretend she never existed.
Lilly cried for two weeks after she read the letter and her friends tried to help but nothing seemed to work. James and Lilly made a promise to not have any children until they were older. Once everyone graduated everyone of Lilly and James's friends got married. Astoria Black-Bell became Lady Astoria Greengrass as she married Martin Greengrass, Jean Robins became Lady Jean Granger after she married Neil Granger. The two of the most unlikely couples even married, Juliet Adams and Roger Parkenson. They hit it off really quickly but from time to time would be caught in a fight. The one thing that really took everyone by surprise was Molly Prewett getting married to Arthur Weasley. The rumor at the time was that Molly couldn't keep her legs closed and she got pregnant. Not even six months after Molly and Arthur left school a notice in the daily prophet confirmed the rumor when Charlie Weasley was born. Lilly and all her girlfriends shook their heads reading the news and made a pack to be there for each other and to be the godmothers to each other's children.
Life in the Wizarding world seemed to be going good for everyone after they all graduated and gotten married. Lilly and James became unspeakable Aurors. Jean and Neil studied and became dentists in the muggle world getting permission from the Wizengamot to use their magic in front of muggle children so they could stay calm. Juliet Parkenson became a Stenographer for The Wizengamot while her husband Roger became a Ministry Official. Alice and Frank became unspeakables like James and Lilly while Remus and Sirius became hit wizards. Everyone was happy and enjoying life making sure to visit each other over their weekends catching up. However that quickly changed when just last year the Rumors of Death-Eaters and their attacks became a war led by a wizard calling himself Lord Voldemort. Magical Britain was quite litterly caught with their pants down and were unable to counter anything the group did. By the time the Aurors arrived the Death-Eaters would be gone with no trace and they couldn't arrest anyone. The Aurors really felt helpless with new Death-Eaters joining up on a weekly bases.
Almost a year ago Lilly found out that she was pregnant with her first born. The goblin nation finally had something to celebrate since the war started. The goblins after hearing that princess Lilly was pregnant for the first time celebrated for three days straight. Over the nine months of her pregnancy Lilly was happy and completely pampered by James. With the war starting to go into it's second year Lilly gave birth to Prince and Lord Harry James Potter and he weighed in at a healthy 9 pounds 16 ounces on July 31first… News of Harry's birth hit the Daily Prophet two days after Harry was born and Newt Scamander the foremost famous Magizoololgist in the world came and presented Harry his very first pet, a phoenix. Alice gave birth a day before to Neville Franklin Longbottom at 10 pounds 8 ounces on July 30th. In August and September Daphne and Hermione made their presents known by their screams. Daphne was born on August 31st while Hermione was born on the 19th of September. Every day there was some news about a death but James stopped reading the Prophet for the most part. He kept himself reading about the quidditch teams and looking for any names he knew who just became mothers. With no shock Molly Weasley was once again was in the paper after delivering yet another set of twins named Ronald and Ginevra Weasley. He cracked up laughing slapping a hand onto his dining room table when he read that Molly Weasley was ordered to get her tubes tided by the board of health who ran St. Mungo's. They stated it was for her own health and safety, but James had to guess it was more do to the fact that they were tired of seeing her face.
When Harry was around a week old Lilly got together with her girlfriends and something happened that made her smile. Harry, Hermione, Daphne, Pansy and Cho started to glow the same gold color as she did when James proposed to her. However all the mothers had to shield their eyes because it was too bright as it shot up into the sky before splitting off in different directions. What they never expected ten minutes later was a floo call from their over seas friend Apolline Delacour. Lilly let Apolline and her husband Alexandre step through the floo to their living room with a one year old Fleur in tow. Apolline looked completely freaked out and Alexandre was looking like he could go bald at any moment. Once Apolline and Alexandre were calmed down Lilly explained that Harry was soul bonded to not just Hermione showing the most gold light then the others, but to Fleur Delacour as well. Lilly told her friends that their children were pretty much married and each one will become a princess to the goblin nation guaranteeing their safety and financial security for the rest of their lives. Lilly then continued telling her friends that the soul bond grows and grows never stopping until they die. However she didn't know who else it affected and they all had to wait and see. with some now somewhat relaxed nervous parents Lilly even gave them some examples of what a soul bond could do. One of which was seeing what their bonded one sees, hears and what they do. She even giggled saying it's a great lie detector if their bonded one tried to lie to them. After calming everyone fears they excepted their kids future and were glad for it since this war was not going to stop anytime soon.
When Harry was three months old tragedy struck the Potter household when Lilly's parents passed away from Dragon Pox which came on unexpectedly. Lilly's heart broke once again as her and James went through her parents wills. She even tried to contact her sister Petunia about the passing of their parents but got no reply. Lilly and James noticed that little Harry was left with ownership of Grunnings and The bank of Britain and he would take complete ownership when ever he was ready. Lilly was left all the houses and everything in the Evans vaults. Martha's will stated since Petunia gave everything up and was now a Dursley she was not entitled to the Bitterwood of Dean Vault. Both Lilly and James saw that since her parents were married they invested heavily in both the magical and muggle worlds. They had controlling stock in the Firebolt Broom company, The Daily Prophet, Honeydukes, Greengrass & Potter Distilleries, Holyhead Harpies, Wigtown Wanderers, The Bulgaria Fire Phoenix's quidditch teams, Quality Quidditch Supplies and many others.
In the muggle world they invested in their companies The Bank of Britain, Grunnings Drills, Visa, Disney, Toys R' Us and many others as well. They even invested into buying land which they rented out. They left Harry full ownership of the Bank of Britain and Grunnings Drills with James as exactor until he became of age. They even left Harry controlling stock in Honeydukes, Greengrass & Potter Distilleries, Holyhead Harpies, Wigtown Wanderers, The Bulgaria Fire Phoenix's quidditch teams, Quality Quidditch Supplies since their grandson was just a baby. They even left him high stocks in Disney, Toy's R' Us and a few anime companies based in Japan. He would gain the more hardheaded business's once he was older, but in the meantime Lilly and James would be in control of everything. Lilly and James were a bit shocked at the returns they would receive every three months, but they knew why as well. The goblins may not like almost all wizards and Witches do to their lack of respect, but they had few that they did like giving them high return rates on any investments. Johnathan and Martha got the first and best return rates along with the top picks on all business contracts since their daughter was the crown princess to the goblin Nation.
Both Lilly and James understood several things about the goblins. They were a warrior race and if you cross one goblin you crossed all of them. In short there was no where you could hide from a goblin because once you crossed them they were out for blood. They were fiercely loyal to each other, however there were times fights would breakout between families and was solved in the blood pit. That is where the two parties would choose a champion to fight. Two champions walked in but only one walks out. The losing party will then hand over the agreed price prior to the fight and the King and Queen would watch over these fights to make sure no cheating was involved. They were extremely skilled in crafting magical items and would only part with what ever they made at an extremely high price. The items are so rare that only 2% of the Wizarding world who had these items, and they would be very lucky to just have that passing it down through their families. However if the entire family line was wiped out their vaults would be sealed and cleaned out. This move from the goblins would ensure that if the vault had any goblin made items in them they would be returned to the nation.
The last thing they knew besides their cunning in business was the fact that they were leagues ahead of the Wizarding world in healing. They didn't just use their own magic for healing, but they even employed muggle technology to their advantage. They paid for things like an MRI machine, Cat Scan Machine, Ultrasound Machine and portable Defibrillators. Thanks to the muggle doctors teaching them that knew about witches and wizards; they were told that no matter what you were the brain could only stay alive for a while once the heart stopped. Of course the Goblins didn't believe them at the time so a test was performed. A nurse volunteered to be shot with the killing curse under the watchful eye of the youngest Director ever of the D.L.M.E. Rose Coyota. The young nurse would be shot by the killing curse before the doctors would rush in and revive her using the muggle defibrillator and what they called CPR to prove their claim of working. The young nurse agreed knowing that if it didn't work she would be dead and gone. She knew how important this was because the name Potter was one of their biggest benefactors raising money for sick children and cancer research. Of course the test was a success and the goblins paid for everything including being taught CPR. The Goblins were very secretive and very protective when it came to their healing practices. They knew if the Wizards and Witches of magical Britain needed medical help they would pay dearly for their aid, however it would be used on a case by case bases and no witch or wizard was allowed to see anything. The other thing about the goblins when it came to healing was that the royal family always came first before anyone else since they were just and fair rulers. Other then that Goblin healing was kept away from Wizarding Britain.
Lilly only thought that she and her husband James only considered a battle with who in Lilly's mind was evil beyond evil, that one would be Albus Dumbledore. But now they were in a war on two fronts, one with Albus Dumbledore trying to get Lilly and James along with their friends to join his order of the Phoenix and Voldemort with his Death-Eaters on the other side. Lucky for both Lilly and James Potter they were told by a house-elf about Voldemort's Horcruxes he was making. They immediately set to work telling her adopted family and the goblins knew about Horcruxes. All the goblins set to work making something that would protect Lilly, James and all of their friends since it was very well known that Voldemort kills anyone who twice defied him. Today was the day they hoped to have good news, hence why everyone was gathering in the park at a risk to their own lives. Lilly sent word to her friends late last night to meet here today. However Lilly's thoughts were interrupted when Solar looked towards a group of people walking up with strollers with babies in smiled seeing it was all of her friends along with Sirius and Remus as both Lilly and James stood up. Everyone was using a glamour charm which changed their appearance. Thanks to Lilly and James's wedding rings they could see right through the charm. With a few hugs and pats on the back Lilly got right down to why they all were there. "Hey guys look I can't say anything here because it is not safe. We have to leave and get to my father." Said a nervous Lilly and even though every one was looking around like a nervous cat they nodded. Lilly looked at her sons phoenix and Solar gave a soft screech before spreading out her wings making everyone vanish in a ball of flames…
(Sunday, August 20, 2000: The Goblin Nation, The Goblin Palace:)
Lilly along with all of her friends with their husbands and babies in tow appeared on the stone streets in the Goblin Nation, making their way to a very large marble white castle. Roger Parkenson and Juliet Parkenson noticed that all the goblins were scrambling around while all the mothers and children either huddled together or quickly shut their doors and windows. Solar flew on ahead of Lilly, James and their friends to signal that they were back on goblin soil. As Lilly kept her wand out along with James walking with great speed Juliet spoke to her friend. "Lilly, James we should be safe can't you tell us what is going on and why we were summoned to the Goblin Palace. No witch or wizard has ever dared to come to the Goblin Nation let alone the palace, well except you and James of course. After all you have been adopted to the goblin King and queen and James is the same as you by marriage. The closest anyone gets is inside Gringotts Bank." Inquired Juliet and Lilly nor James answered but continued walking with speed. It wasn't until everyone was close enough to the palace gates James spoke. "Juliet, He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named struck Gringotts late last night after Lilly floo called everyone to meet up today. The Goblins are out for blood and the mothers and children are scared. The Queen is worried because the King was inside the bank and he got injured, boy is he really pissed off at this war. But we have our own fears for our children so please wait until we get inside the castle. It cannot be penetrated and then it would be safer to talk." Replied James as they walked up to the front gates.
The goblin guards bowed to Lilly as they opened up the gates. Everyone hurried through and the gates were closed as they followed Lilly into the castle. Lilly patiently waited for all of her friends to undo their glamour charm before continuing to find her adopted mother. It didn't take long for Lilly to find queen Alsea walking down one of the corridors inside the castle. The queen smiled as she saw Lilly carrying baby Harry along with James and their friends. She walked up to everyone giving Lilly a hug before she reached up taking Harry out of Lilly arms while she spoke. "Oh come here big guy grams got you. I bet you caused your momma some trouble out at the park today." She said smiling down at him. Lilly looked to her mother after shaking her head before she begun to speak. "Your grandson was an angel even though he was a bit of a wiggle-worm. How is father, is he alright." Asked Lilly with concern in her voice. Queen Alsea looked up at her daughter before letting out a deep sigh then replied. "You know your father, always head long into battle. He is bandaged up but he is fine. Your father is actually in the war room with a few guests that needed to speak with him and all of you. follow me and we'll talk there." she answered causing James to punch the wall speaking. "Damn it all to hell. I should have been there. I should have…" he said causing Harry to start crying due to his anger. Queen Alsea glanced over to James before she spoke. "No James, your place is at Lilly's side, you're a prince, husband and father. You have to protect your family and that comes first. You heard Director Bones when she placed you and Lilly in our care three days ago. Both you and Lilly are on top of Tom's hit list, we all are. And let me remind you that without me you wouldn't have seen the daylight today. You of all people should know the law and you should respect your father in-law's decision. Beside punching a hole in my wall won't solve this war problem any faster, it just upset your son." She told him in a motherly tone.
James gave a small apologetic nod seeing that losing his anger wouldn't do anyone any good. "Sorry mother." He told her and she smirked before she replied. "It's alright James, we all lose focus at times, but your still going to be fixing my wall that you punched a hole in, and no magic either." She answered making everyone laugh watching James hang his head while they walked. They were all quiet for a few minutes and the queen Alsea spoke not looking at anyone. "We have a team of medi-goblins waiting to do medical checkups on the babies since everyone is here." She said as she opened a pair of large double doors. Once everyone was inside they froze before James and Sirius pulled their wands pointing them to a man with jet black hair, emerald green eyes and he was wearing an expensive suit. He had his hands folded with his fingers interlaced looking very calm. This person was none other than Regulus Black the head of the Black Family.
They soon spotted four other people in the room that they knew quite well. To Regulus's right was a one year old little girl with blonde hair and sapphire blue eyes wearing a light blue dress. As everyone could recall her name was Cassie. She was sitting down at the table with a crayon in her hand drawing away on a piece of parchment that was enchanted to erase the drawing once it was full. To Regulus's left was Andromeda Tonks, Edmund Tonks and their daughter Nymphadora Tonks who's hair was changing different colors as she too was drawing while swinging her legs. The head Medi-goblin walked up and stood in front of James and Sirius while the rest of the medi-goblins took the babies from their mothers. She spoke looking at the two men. "Put your wands away and that is an order. We have babies and children in this room and I will not allow one curse, Jinx or Hex to be fired while they are in this room. I have enough shit to deal with because of this stupid war. I will not have the both of you prince or friend making a mess. You are adults and not children so act like it." She order and both Sirius and James put their wands away. Sirius looked to his great grandfather folding his arms as he spoke harshly. "Regulus what in the fuck are you doing here, why the hell is aunt Andi and cousin Dora here along with Cassie. You better start explaining." Sirius demanded.
Soon the Goblin King Taverx walked in using a cane and the right side of his face was bandaged. He spoke as he made his way to his chair. "Simple Sirius Black to answer. He contacted me a few nights ago about a few issues dealing with Charlus and Dorea Potter." said the king and this caused James to look at Regulus before he spoke. "My grandparents, what do they have to do with you?" he asked. Regulus soon spoke to both men. "Everything, now sit down boy and then we can have a more civil conversation." He told them in a demanding tone. Everyone took their seats and all the mothers were handed back their babies. Harry started to cry which made Lilly speak. "Please excuse my son Lord Black. It is his feeding time and I can't miss this." said Lilly which the old wizard nodded and gave a soft smile as he replied. "Of Course Princess. A Black always knows when a baby needs to eat and how important it is. Don't let me stop you from feeding your son." He told her and as Lilly pulled a breast from the top of her dress letting Harry nurse, Regulus turned his attention onto James and Sirius. He spoke directly to James first. "Your grandmother Dorea was a very smart witch Prince James. she was my daughter and she married your grandfather with my blessings. It was a match made in heaven as the saying goes. But always remember, once a Black always a Black. We help out our family light, dark or gray; it doesn't matter. As for you Sirius.." he said turning to him so James can absorb the news.
Sirius folded his arms and spoke before he let his grandfather continue. "Look I am already cast out of the Black family since I was placed in Gryffindor instead of Slytherin and I ran away from home at 16 because of my parents. I don't believe in this Pure-Blood is better bullshit. Aunt Andi got kicked out just because she married a Muggleborn, and I don't see a problem with that at all. So your wasting your breath by coming here." Sirius stated. Regulus gave Sirius a smirk before sitting forward then replied. "Really Sirius is that what you think. And on who's orders were you and Andi cast out of the Black Family. I sure didn't, and I don't see a problem in Andi's marriage; actually I am quite please at what she had done for herself. A medi-witch who is well respected and an mother to a wonderful little girl. You are a Black Sirius no matter what house you were placed in when you went to Hogwarts…." said Regulus as he paused before walking over to Lilly speaking. "Princess may I?" he asked and this caused Lilly to look at her friends and family before turning to look at the guards. She gently laid Harry into his arms and this made Regulus smile brightly as he spoke. "A true Black if I ever saw one." he stated holding Harry. Regulus Black started to walk around the room gently bouncing Harry in his arms as he continued to speak. "From what I know Sirius, you were thrown out of the black family by your parents; but that doesn't mean you can't claim the title of Lord Black. Only I have that power to not allow you to have that title. That is why I am here today, I was trying to find all of you for varying reasons. Sirius you are my heir and I am going to give you the title of Lord Black. I have already cast out Bellatrix since she married Lucius Malfoy and that spawn of theirs. They will never touch the Black vaults since they chose to follow a psychopath. We maybe a dark family but we're not that dark or that crazy." He said and then handed Harry back to Lilly.
Regulus then went to his chair and sat down folding his fingers together setting them in his lap before he continued. "As far as I am concerned Sirius, you and Andi are still apart of the Black family. Now the second reason I am here today. It has come to my attention that several nights ago Cassie Black here started to glow a gold color. Doing some research it said that it was a soul bond. Now can anyone fill me in on who this boy she is married to is." He asked and Lilly made a light coughing noise not saying a word as she gestured to a now sleeping Harry in her arms. Regulus raised and eyebrow as he spoke. "Ah, I see… and judging by the five girls in the room that would cause me to guess that they too have the same thing." He said and James nodded. He soon spoke looking at Regulus. "Lord Black, your guess is correct. All five of these girls are bonded to my son. Each one has a gold light around them at varying degrees, however there may be more and we don't know how many. Only Scion Hermione Granger has the same amount as Harry. From what we can read, they are followed by Daphne, Cho, Pansy and then Fleur. We suspect that one other is like the girls here but like I said we don't know how many girls this affected, and we have our knights looking for them and their family." Answered James and Regulus nodded. He soon spoke after a few minutes. "Very well, I'll except that. Now for the last thing on this meeting I need to discuss and that is this damn war." He replied and then paused.
Regulus sat forward looking at James, Lilly, Frank and Alice as he continued to speak. "My House-elves have been spying for me throughout this war. Their latest report has me very concerned and it seems to deal mainly with you four and your sons. It seems one Sybill Trelawney was being interviewed by Albus Dumbledore for the position of Divination. During the interview she went into a trance and she made a prophecy. She said, The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord approaches... Born to those who have thrice defied him, born as the seventh month dies... and the Dark Lord will mark him as his equal, but he will have power the Dark Lord knows not... and either must die at the hand of the other for neither can live while the other survives... The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord will be born as the seventh month dies... Now the four of you have twice defied Tom, which means that two of you will die along with your son or maybe all of you. My house-elf who heard this prophecy also reported that Severus Snape heard the first part before running to his master with the news. My other house-elves have been busy keeping an eye on Dumbledore and Molly Weasley. The house-elf who is watching Dumbledore reported that once you die he would then swoop in to take control. Out of the four of you, do you know any reason why he would attack a baby?" asked Regulus and this caused Lilly and James to look at each other.
Lilly soon replied as she looked at Lord Black. "Actually we do Lord Black. Albus has been trying to take over ownership of Hogwarts and the land it sits on since we first came to Hogwarts. He has always tried to get into our heads or speak to us one on one, and when we married he ramped up his tries trying to speak with us both. However we stayed away from him as much as we could with the help of Professor McGonagall and Professor Flitwick. Hogwarts has been in the Potter family even before the school was formed. It once was Peverell castle as far as we can tell from the family records. If Dumbledore gets his hands on Hogwarts and that of the chief warlocks seat then he can control magical Britain from the shadows. If we die then he will manipulate our son into anything he wants. What about Molly though, what is her gameplan." Asked Lilly now very worried. Regulus sat forward a bit before he responded. "It seams that Molly has been waiting in the wings to see you killed princess. From what my house-elf has reported she is waiting for your death so she can swoop in, as she believes taking back what rightfully belongs to her, and that is your husband. however if you both die and let's guess here, saying Harry is alive then her whole gameplan changes. I know she has a daughter and she might use her to get what she wants. But that is a guess on my part. I needed you all to know now, because I too am a target and need to settle my affairs first before I leave this world. I hope when I do it becomes a better place then when I left. So let's get the paperwork and whatever else started because we have no time to lose." replied Regulus. Over the next two hours Regulus and everyone filled out all the paperwork for Sirius to become Lord Black. Writing of wills and naming the right people to be in charge of all the babies.
King Taverx soon took over the meeting once everything was done. He looked at everyone before he spoke. "My shadow Goblins have informed me that what you said about Tom using Horcruxes is true Lilly. We don't have any soul containers to hunt them down so we're at a loss until we have a piece. However we do have some good news, and that is Tom is a parselmouth. He uses a shield that is so strong it blocks the killing curse, but you have to speak in parselmouth to use it. Going over a voice copy of Tom using it we created something that would stop him. It took almost three years of research but we now have a weapon against him." said King Taverx before snapping his fingers. A goblin guard came walking in with a box in his hand setting it on the table before leaving. King Taverx opened the box before speaking again. "These are what we came up with. They are like our centurion armbands but they are shields. They can absorb any spell leaving you unharmed and we added a special charm on it as well, but I'll get to that in a second. Now that we know everyone is a target especially my daughter, son in-law and grandson we can make adjustments. We had just enough time to make one for everyone one each. Now if we're going to win this war then let me make a quick plan. Since the risk of Lilly and James's death and with Albus wanting to swoop in then I have an idea. You may not like it but it just might work.
Lilly, James if Tom attacks you directly play dead until Dumbledore or whoever sees your bodies is done. You will have to leave your son everything after that and vanish so people think your dead, however you won't be and if my hunch is correct you will have Harry in your arms the next morning. I'll have my shadow goblin warriors watch your sister's house in Bristol. If Harry shows up there then they will bring him straight here and then to you in Italy where my brother has already bought a home large enough for everyone to live in. Now the special charm in these bad boys are connected together, so if Lilly and James are the ones to be attacked and quote unquote die they will activate. You all must leave everything to your children making Wizarding Britain think it was a mass murder. My shadow goblins will then rush in once you vanish to grab your children and bring them here where you all will be waiting. Everyone will stay in Italy until the kids are old enough to start reading. Once they do then everyone will come back and start their training in being royalty, swordsmanship, spells, potions the works. The children will know that they are betrothed to each other from special rings that they will wear around their necks through a gold chain and it will grow with them as they age until they feel it is time to wear them on their left hands. From what I can see now they love one another without question. Anyway when it is time for them to go to Hogwarts they will be years ahead of their classmates and while in school they will have private tutors." Said King Taverx and everyone thought through what the kings plan was.
Sirius then spoke looking at everyone. "I don't know if this plan will be a bust, but if anything should happen to me then I want my godson as my heir. I want it known that the Malfoy family or any other family can never claim the title of Lord Black. I want ever single loophole closed. Dorea Black is Harry's great grandmother so he has fist rights." Stated Sirius and Regulus nodded with a rare smile. King Taverx nodded in agreement before he spoke once again. "Now to keep these kids a bit safer. I'm going to cut ancient druidic runes on their shoulders and their blood need to connect, then I will place the Goblin Royal crest just below that. They will cry but the cuts will be quickly healed. Both of these marks will give them added protection, so please forgive me about hurting your children." He stated and with nods coming from everyone the process of protecting the babies started. Over the next three day Harry and the rest of the babies screamed through their tears as their mothers held them in their arms. For all the parents watching their babies get ancient druidic runes carved into their shoulders was heart breaking to watch but finally it was over. Everyone made sure they were wearing their armbands before giving each other a hug saying goodbye then vanishing to their homes.
