Chapter 1: Shell Island
"Come Logan, keep going, don't stop running," A man about 35 years old, said as he dragged an eleven-year-old along aside him
The man was a big muscular male with black short hair and tan skin, he was wearing a black vest with a white dirty shirt its sleeves were pushed back to his elbows, he also wore some blue jeans and some brown cowboy boots, and the most important thing on him was his black cowboy hat with a red bandana tying it on the center
The child had brown hair and red eyes, he was wearing a pair of black boots and black jeans, he had a blue shirt on him and a red bandana with a black lightning pattern on his neck
"John, I can't, why are we running? Why don't we go back to the gang?" Logan asked in curiosity and out of breath
"The gang is dead kid, Dutch betrayed us all, he sided with the rat, and killed Arthur, we are not safe there anymore," John said as they arrived at where they had their horses and quickly put Logan on top of the horse and climb up himself too as he heard galloping coming behind him
John quickly made the horse run off as he looked back and saw six of the outlaw group members being led by the gang leader Dutch with their weapons drawn "Marston, give us the child and the map and we'll let you live!" The leader shouted as John took out his revolver and fired at one of the members killing him
"Leave the kid alone! He's got nothing to do with this, we're not giving him up to Kaido!" John said as he and the kid ran off gaining the advantage
"We make a deal with him! That's how we survive John!" Dutch said in anger as he put out his revolver
"They want me to give me up?" Logan asked in fear and confusion "To my dad? Please don't let them, I can't go back!" Logan said and John gave him a smile
"Don't worry Kiddo, Arthur and I made you a promise right? When we took you out from Wano, you're never going back there kid," John said but as soon as he said that two gunshots were fired one hit the horse on its neck killing it instantly and the other one hit the right side of John's stomach, so both the child and John went stumbling down falling down into a risk of great height
They were falling down as some trees and leaves stopped their fall a tree branch scratched the right eye of Logan giving him a big scar that ran along the top of his right eye to the start of his right cheek
Logan had fallen unconscious because of the injury to his face and he had to be woken up by John who was on the verge of death thanks to the wound on his stomach "Come on Kiddo, wake up, we have to get going," John said carrying a drowsy and waking Logan to an abandoned town and they hid on the first thing they found which was a barn
John entered the barn and quickly shut the door and lock it as he made sure that Logan had woken up
"You okay Kiddo?" John asked as Logan blinked and winced because of the pain in his right eye
"Mi eye hurts," Logan said and John chuckled
"Yeah, nasty bum you got there, but it will heal, and you'll have a good scar there, and chicks like scars," John said with a chuckle trying to lighten the mood but then he coughed and look to his right side "Shit, okay Kid listen to me," John said as Logan looked at him "My time to meet the undertaker is up, nothing I can do, but you, you have a great future ahead," John said with a smile taking his hat off "What's your dream, Logan?" John asked in curiosity
"I don't know, I want to free my sister, and find the one piece," Logan said and John smiled
"You want to be King of Pirates?" John asked in curiosity and Longan shook his head
"No, I want to be the one who finds it, for someone who I think is worthy, I wanted to find it for the gang but now," Logan said with tears in his eyes and John put a hand on his shoulder
"Kid don't cry, one day you'll find a great crew and a great captain, and you'll sail into the seas in search of great adventures and freedom, as you should live," John said putting his hat on the floor and taking his revolvers from his belt and giving them to Logan
The first one was a silver revolver with black drawings of a snake on it and in its handle it had the initials AM engraved on it "This is Arthur's gun," John said as Logan grab it with his left hand
And the next one was a black gun with a golden pattern of tree branches with an owl on the back of it and in its handle the initials JM were on there "And this one's mine, this will help you on your goals," John said as he grabbed the hat from the floor and put it on top of Logan's head
"You have a great future ahead Hunter D. Logan, now is my turn to give you the chance for you to take it, go to the back, and make a run for it, I'll keep them busy," John said pushing Logan away
"But I don't want to lose you, John," Logan said crying and John smiled as he placed a finger on Logan's chest
"You won't, as long as you live, I will live here kiddo," John said and stood up "Go, and stay safe Logan, and keep dreaming," John said as Logan sniffed and ran to the back of the barn
The kid ran away through the city as he cried when he heard gunshots in the distance knowing he had lost his friend and mentor, he arrived at the port and saw some guys loading some cargo into a ship so he decided to hide in one so he could escape
He hide in a box and put his knees close to his chest as he sobbed hard in pain and sorrow of losing his friends and family
Eight years later Shell island
"Hey you fucker, stop whistling," A marine guard said to the guy in the holding cell
"You don't like the song, partner?" A guy about nineteen years old said as he was on top of a bed with a black cowboy hat, that had a red bandana on the middle, on top of his face, he was wearing a brown leather jacket that ended on his waist, a pair of black cowboy boots a white shirt, his neck was adorn with a red bandana and several black necklaces, his two wrist had a brown leather wristbands and on the downside he had black jeans tied with a brown leather belt with a golden skull in the middle
This guy was Hunter D Logan, the youngest ex-member of the Van der Lin Gang and current bounty hunter "I think is catchy, and on the bars and brothels they always sing it, especially those ladies, the ones with the big bosoms," Logan said with a laugh as the guard grumbled
"Don't want to hear it, especially from a drunk like yourself," The guard said
"I'm not a drunk," Logan said with his hat still on his face
"Really? You drink a lot from the bar and then jumped into the base and pissed on all the walls, and then you told Captain Morgan to fuck off," The guard reminded him and Logan laughed
"Ah right, well can't argue with that," Logan said with a chuckle "Hey partner, how about you let me leave? You know that someone as volatile as Morgan will just forget about me here," Logan said
"Though luck buddy, I can't do anything, and with that Ronoroa Zoro guy that that idiot kid brought, you'll just have to stay there till further orders," The guard said and Logan moved his hat revealing his right red eyes
"The pirate hunter? What is he doing here?" Logan asked in curiosity
"Don't know, but he missed with Morgan's kid and well now he's out there in the post," The guard said as Logan stood up from the bed and went to the window
Outside he saw a green-haired guy about his same age but then he saw a kid with pink hair trying to untie him "Oh wow, he is scary as they say, hey partner," Logan said as the guard
"What?" The guard asked tiredly
"Didn't know you hired young folk, or do you have a stowaway?" Logan asked with a chuckle as the guard quickly stood up and looked outside and his eyes winded
"Shit!" The guard said running away and Logan walked to the front of the cell
"Hey partner, wait!" Logan said but it was too late as the guard had run away "Shit, ain't no way I'm rotting, no sir," Logan whispered to himself as he grabbed his hat and took a clip, and started messing with the lock
But stopped when he heard footsteps coming to the holding cell so he stopped what he was doing and put his hands on the middle bar and leaned forward
Then a beautiful skinny orange-haired girl, one of the most beautiful women Logan has ever seen, wearing a white shirt with blue stripes and a pair of short yellow shorts entered the holding cell
"Whoa, didn't know the Marine Corps hired such beauties," Logan said with a smile as the girl was scanning the room and then stopped when she heard him
"They don't, I don't know how to feel when a criminal flirts with me," She said as she stared searching through the cabinets
"Am I really a criminal? Compared to the guy who terrorizes this town?" Logan asked in curiosity as he started to unlock the lock of his cell
"What do you mean?" The girl asked in curiosity as she stop what she was doing and looked at him
"Ah, you're not from around here sweetheart?" Logan asked without looking as the girl shook her head no "Apparently the captain here, he demands a tax of gratitude and appreciation from the citizens, and he's running them dry, which is just plain disgusting," Logan said unlocking the cell door and walking out "Bottom shelf darling," Logan said walking towards her
"He does? That's just wrong," The girl said as she started opening the bottom shelf Logan walk to the locker and started unlocking the locker
"It is, when a man holds a town hostage, just because he thinks he's great or whatever delusional ego thing he has, well that's just fucked up," Logan said opening the locker
And his weapons were stored inside of it, his two revolvers, a silver hunts mark rifle, and a beautiful black katana, he started attaching everything to himself and continue talking "People who take other people's freedom, they're the lowest of them all," Logan said and the girl's eyes winded as she turns back to look at him
After all her travels this was the first time she had found someone that thought like her, she looked away and her face started forming a small smile on it
"You found the money?" Logan asked bringing the girl back to the real world
"Yeah, not what I was looking for but it will do the trick, why do they have so much money here?" She asked him as she grabbed the several bags of money
"Money to pay bounty hunters, they keep it stashed near the holding cells," Logan said as he look out the window and saw a kid with a straw hat and a red vest land on the ground where Zoro was "What were you looking for?" Logan asked in curiosity as the girl tied the bags to her waist and look at him
"A map to the grand line, figure I could sell it, but a pirate name Buggy grab it," She said as she walked to where he was
"The clown?" Logan asked out loud "I think he's in Orange Town, a good bounty on his head," Logan said as Nami put herself next to him and look out
"Bounty Hunter?" The girl asked in curiosity
"Sort of, I prefer the term mercenary, I just hunt down criminals, whether they're pirates or marines," Lohan said as he put a foot of the window "And also treasure hunter, which doesn't seem relevant but I like to point it out," He said with a chuckle
"So, who are you targeting?" The girl asked in curiosity as Logan's eyes rested on the captain of this marine base
"The captain, old dude gave me 100 Bellys for it, he didn't have much, but after hearing his story, I didn't have the heart to say no," Logan said as he looked back at the girl "Once the battle begins, go around the back, I don't know what you need the money for, but good luck," Logan said preparing to jump down but the girl grabbed his forearm
"Hey my name's Nami, make sure you don't forget it okay?" She said with a flirtatious smile and Logan smirked
"Nami huh? Beautiful name it fits you," Logan said with a smile "Don't worry sweetheart, I don't think I can ever forget you," Logan said jumping down leaving Nami there smiling at his retreating form Logan
The outlaw landed in the middle of the backyard area as he noticed that Zoro and the teen with the red vest were talking but when Logan landed both of them and the marines turn to look at him
"Howdy, I'm looking for a Capn' Morgan," Logan said as everyone stop what they were doing and he saw Zoro looking at him with a frown "Ah sorry, I jumped in your moment right?" Logan said with a sheepish chuckled
"Yeah, but is fine," Zoro said with a sigh
"Whoa, dude! You looked so cool! Are you like a cowboy or something!?" The teen with the red vest and the straw hat said excitedly
"Well I actually prefer the term outlaw, I think you got something to do partner," Logan said pointing at the back of the teen
"Ah right, Zoro duck!" The teen said as Logan saw the teen stretching his leg to incredulous lengths and kicking the marines
"Nice moves partner, mind if I jump in?" Logan said putting a hand on his revolvers "I need to direct Mister Morgan here to the undertaker," Logan said and Zoro looked at the kid with the vest
"What do you think captain?" Zoro asked the teen and the straw hat put a hand up to the air
"You look cool, join my crew!" The teen said and Zoro and Logan sweat dropped
"Partner we just met, shouldn't you know, ask my name or somethin'? Logan asked his Western accent showing off
"Ah right, my name's Monkey D. Luffy, and I'm going to be King of the Pirates!" Luffy said and Logan's eyes winded
"Pirate King huh? Why?" Logan asked and then the kid who had tried to free Zoro spoke out
"Uh, guys shouldn't you do something about them?" The kid said but was ignored by the three teens
"Because being the Pirate King means you can be the freest person of them all, don't you think?" Luffy said with a chuckle and Logan smirked
"Good reason, tell you what, let me take care of the ugly guy over there," Logan said pointing at Morgan "And I'll join your crew, sounds fair?" Logan said and Luffy nodded
"Deal, Zoro, let the cowboy deal with them," Luffy said turning to Zoro as the green-haired teen sheathing his swords
"If you say so, at least if he joins the crew I can see what he can do," Zoro said as Logan put himself in front of the marines
"Howdy folks, name's Hunter D. Logan, and I have no quarrel with ya'll," Logan said looking at the marines "My job, is to kill your cap'n over there, so please don't stand in my way," Logan said as his hands went to his revolvers
"Don't listen to him, kill him and bring me his head, if anyone of you refuses, then you better shoot yourself because I will kill you!" Morgan said and Logan saw all the marines get afraid
"Folks, be reasonable, if I kill him then he can't kill you, so what is it going to be?" Logan said looking down so his hat could hide his eyes "Stand down or die?" Logan said as the Marines looked back and forth and then they decided to drop their guns "Good men," Logan whispered as he saw the vein of Morgan's head pop off
"You bastards! What did I fucking," Morgan started saying but then they heard a gunshot sound, and as soon as Morgan said it he felt a huge pain on his right shoulder where his iconic weapon was
"Now, now, don't be so angry, your men are smart men," Logan said as he fired again with his other revolver connecting with the other shoulder "Now tell me, are you ego centrical or are you just weak?" Logan said walking slowly toward Morgan
"What the hell are you saying?" Morgan said in pain as his shoulders started bleeding
Zoro was watching with great interest as he didn't see Logan shooting, he just blinked and Morgan was already bleeding, and Luffy was excited about his new crew member's abilities
"You know what I mean, you pray on the weak, and you've been cap'n for ten years, never winning a promotion and staying here on the weakest of seas," Logan said firing two more shots but Morgan block them with his axe "I mean, the greatest criminal you got here was the Pirate Hunter Zoro, and that was your son that got him not you, what a shame," Logan said holstering his guns and grabbing his katana
"Shut the hell up, you don't know who you're talking to, you outlaw bastard," Morgan said putting his hand up Logan easily dodge the incoming blow and took off his katana
"You know, the old man that hired me, he didn't want your head as most folks ask for proof of a kill," Logan said as he was dodging the strike "He wanted your arm, the arm that killed his daughter and I'm a man of my word," Logan said as he struck hard
Zoro eyes winded as he saw the man cutting the hand of Morgan in a quick swift movement "Who is this dude?" Zoro thought as Morgan screamed in pain and kneeled holding the wound where his axe hand was
"Hurts doesn't it?" Logan said putting his revolver on the head of Morgan "That pain, is just the tip of the iceberg compared to what you made the people of this town go through," Logan said as Morgan looked at him and glared
"I'm going to kill you," Morgan said in pain as Logan smiled
"You'll have to get in line partner," Logan said shooting his revolver and killing Morgan instantly
He saw Morgan falling down as he move his sword quickly and got rid of the blood as he started sheathing his sword away
"So cool! You're really a cowboy! I have a swordsman and a cowboy on my crew, this is so great!" Luffy said as he started shacking Logan back and forth making the outlaw dizzy
"Hey, we've got company," Zoro said as Luffy stop shaking Logan and the outlaw fell down dizzy
"Ah, I'm going to puke," Logan said as he saw the world start to spin
"Stop right there, you kill my daddy, so now I'm going to kill one of you!" Helmeppo the son of Morgan said as he had a gun to the head of Coby
Luffy tilted his head in confusion as Coby gain a hard look
"Luffy, don't worry about me, I won't stand in the way of your dream!" Coby said with conviction as Logan sat up and shook his head to get rid of the dizziness
"Want me to handle this cap'n? Logan asked to Luffy as the teen chuckled
"Nah, I got this," Luffy said cocking back his fist "You're in trouble, Coby is talking seriously," Luffy said chuckling
"Don't move! I said don't move!" Helmeppo said as Luffy stretched his fist back
"Gum Gum no Pistol!" Luffy said punching the blond son of the captain in the face hard and knocking him out cold
Then everyone remained quiet as Logan took the moment to take out a cigar and light it up
Zoro looked around and took one of his swords out "Anyone else who wants to fight, come now," Zoro said as he prepared to fight but then the marines threw their weapons up and started celebrating
"What? They just lost, why are they celebrating?" Luffy asked in confusion as Logan stood up
"They have regained their freedom, guess they're just happy," Logan said walking towards Luffy and Zoro and he managed to catch Zoro when he started to fall down "Everything alright partner?" Logan asked as Zoro's stomach grumbled
"I'm so hungry," He said as Logan snorted
"Let's get you something to eat," Logan said with a smile on his face
Sometime later
"Ah, I'm so full!" Zoro said as he, Logan, and Luffy were sitting at a table together sharing a meal
"Is that all you can eat? Luffy asked in confusion as Logan chuckled and drink from his cup of whiskey
"You're the one to talk, how the hell did you eat more than me?" Zoro asked in confusion as Luffy shrugged his shoulders and continue eating
"It makes sense, if he's made out of rubber, then he's stomach is literally a bottomless pit," Logan said sipping from his cup "Ma'am sorry if we eat all your storage," Logan said as the bartender smiled
"It's alright, you did save our town after all," The woman said as her child approached Luffy
"You were so cool big brother," The kid said and Luffy smiled
"Of course I'm great, and I'll be greater when I become Pirate King," Luffy said with a smile "I even got two crew members, this is awesome," Luffy said as Zoro and Logan smiled
"So, who else is on the crew?" Zoro asked in curiosity
"Just us three," Luffy said munching a piece of meat
"Us three? Seriously?" Logan asked in confusion and Luffy nodded "What about a ship?" Logan asked and Luffy pointed at the window
"There it is," Luffy said as Logan and Zoro looked out the window and saw a small ship on the docks they sweatdropped
"That ship?" Zoro asked incredulously and Luffy nodded
"But don't worry, soon we will have a big ship, I have no doubt," Luffy said and Logan and Zoro sighed and sat back down
"What did I get myself into?" Both Zoro and Logan said at the same time and they both looked at each other and snorted
"Luffy was born with the ability to not think things through, but he has a good heart," Coby said and Zoro sighed
"Well I don't go back on my word, a promise is a promise," Zoro said and Logan nodded
"Same with me cap'n we're your crew now, but I need to clear out something," Logan said leaning back as Luffy put his attention to him "I have three dreams and ambitions, only three, one I want to kill a man," Logan said as Zoro and Luffy raised an eyebrow
"Why?" Zoro asked and Logan took a sip from his whiskey
"He betrayed our crew and family, and killed my mentors," Logan said with a frown look on his face "Two, I want to save my sister from my dad," Logan said and Luffy nodded
"And three?" Luffy asked in curiosity
"I want to be the greatest treasure hunter of them all, by finding the one piece for a worthy cap'n," Logan said looking at Luffy "Get in my way of those things, and I'll leave your crew," Logan said and Luffy smiled
"Great, I expect nothing less from a crew member of the future Pirate King," Luffy said as Logan smirked and raised his glass
"Then a toast, to achieve our goals and rule the grand line," Logan said as Zoro smiled and raised his glass
"To become the greatest swordsman in the world," Zoro said and Luffy smirked and raised his glass
"To be King of Pirates!" Luffy said as the trio click glasses and laughed
"Okay then, we will certainly need a bigger ship, and at least three more crew members, sailing to the grand line like that will be suicide," Logan said and Coby nodded along his words "What sort of crew are you looking for?" Logan asked in curiosity
"A musician, I want one of those," Luffy said and Logan and Zoro sweat dropped
"Okay, we'll find you a musician later, do you have a limit of a crew at least?" Logan said with curiosity in his voice and Luffy put a hand on his cheek
"I don't want a big crew, ten people besides me should be fine," Luffy said and Logan nodded
"Small crew big family huh?" Logan asked and Luffy smiled and nodded "Fine then, you tell me what you want to do and I'll handle the logistics of it," Logan said drinking from his cup and finishing his drink
"Like the vice-captain?" Zoro asked and Logan shrugged
"If he wants, it's either you or me, and do you want to deal with all the logistics and needs of him?" Logan asked and Zoro looked at Luffy and sighed when he saw him eating a full chicken leg
"Nah your right, you got the role," Zoro said and both older teens look at Luffy "What do you think Captain?" Zoro asked
"You want to be my vice-captain?" Luffy asked in excitement
"Basically, you just tell me what you want and I'll try to make sure it happens, or tell you it can't be done if that's the case," Logan said and Luffy nodded
"Okay sounds good, but no orders the crew members don't like, I don't want to take the freedom of any of the future members," Luffy said and Logan nodded
"Fine by me, a crew with independence sounds good," Logan said with a smile "We'll need a navigator tough, that is essential if we want to sail through the grand line," Logan said and Zoro agreed
"We'll worry when we get there, for now, let's continue eating," Luffy said happily and Logan sighed
"Can we trade?" Logan said to Zoro as the swordsman chuckled
"Nah, you got the role vice-captain, wear it proudly," Zoro said with a chuckle as Logan rubbed his face
"Hey wait a second, you can't just go that freely, that place is dangerous, you'll get yourself killed," Coby said in concern as Zoro looked at him
"Why do you care? You're coming with us after all," Zoro said and Coby shook his head
"I'm not going, but me and Luffy are friends, and I can't help but be concerned," Coby said with a sad look on his face
"Yeah, even if we take separate paths we will always be friends Coby!" Luffy said with a smile and Coby looked down
"Since I was a kid, I never had any friends, and people to do things for me even less, but I learned that I have to fight for my dreams thanks to you," Cody said and Logan looked at Zoro
"You know the kid well?" Logan whispered to Zoro and the swordsman shook his head no
"Hey kid, instead of worrying about us you should worry about yourself, even if you were working for Alvida against your will, you were still a pirate," Zoro said with a concerned look
"You worked for Alvida?" Logan asked in curiosity
"Yeah, against my will," Coby said looking down
"And you want to be a marine right?" Logan said looking at the kid "You got it tough kid not gonna lie, marines don't take kindly with any sort of criminal association unless you are part of the shichibukai," Logan said and Coby looked down
Then a group of Marines entered the bar in a group "Excuse me," The leader of the group said as he walked to the group "Is it true that your pirates?" The marine said
"Yeah, I got two crew members, they've just become pirates," Luffy said and Logan tipped his hat to the marine group
"Howdy," Logan said as he dusted himself and made sure he had all his belongings knowing full well their time to go was up
"We're thankful to you for freeing us from Morgan," The marine said "But now that we know you're pirates we cannot remain quiet, you have to leave this place immediately," The marine said as the crowd that had gathered outside gasped in shock
"As a thank you, we won't report you to headquarters," The marine said
"Hey marine what the heel, these guys saved our lives and yours," One of the townsfolk said as several people started agreeing to let the pirates stay
"So, time to go right?" Luffy said with a smile standing up as Zoro and Logan did the same "Thanks for the food ma'am," Luffy said as the woman's kid looked at them sadly
"You're going already?" The kid asked sadly
"Yeah," Luffy said as the trio made their way to the exit without looking at the rest of the people inside and Coby remained frozen in the middle
"Hye kid, are you part of their crew?" The marine asked as Zoro and Logan leaned on the doorway Luffy stopped and lookback "Hey straw-hat, is he a part of your crew?" The marine asked
"Him? I know all about him," Luffy said as Zoro and Logan shared a look of confusion "There was this huge lady that looked like a whale, she had a big mace," Luffy said approaching Coby "This guy works on her crew for two years," Luffy said touching Coby's head with his index finger and then Coby snapped and punched Luffy in the face
Zoro and Logan smirked as Luffy got up and started beating the crap out of Coby "Bit much don't you think?" Logan said to Zoro and the greenhead nodded "Yo cap'n that's enough let's get going," Logan said grabbing Luffy from the back of his vest and dragging him to the entrance
"It's clear he's not a nakama of yours, leave the town immediately!" The marine said and Logan sighed
"Aye Aye chief," Logan said as Luffy gave Coby a smirk and walked away, the trio walked to Luffy's boat and Logan jumped inside of it "So how much food do we have?" Logan said grabbing the bag from Luffy and started searching through it
Then Zoro touched the shoulder of Logan and he looked back and saw Coby standing there saluting at them "Hey kiddo, not sure if a marine should be saluting a trio of pirates," Logan said with a chuckle as he then saw the Marine group standing behind them and salute them
"I've seen it all now," Zoro said, and Logan chuckle
"You cap'n we should get goin'," Logan said and Luffy nodded and stepped inside the boat
"Goodbye Coby, we will see each other again!" Luffy said stretching his arms to the sky as Logan took a seat on one of the sides of the boat and smile as his adventure was starting
Three days later
"How the fuck do you eat so much! I know I say you got a bottomless pit for a stomach, but this is absurd cap'n" Logan said as his eyebrow twitched in annoyance
"Sorry?" Luffy said with a chuckle as Logan pinched his nose and dropped down
"And you, wheel-horse, the licor was supposed to last us days, and you drink it all!" Logan said turning to Zoro
"I'm not saying sorry," Zoro said looking away and Logan sighed
"It's fine sorry, it's been a pair of long days, and I wanted to go around Orange Town, but we need to go there now, to get supplies," Logan said taking a cigar and lit it up
"Why?" Zoro asked in curiosity
"Buggy the clown is there, and I wanted to avoid the fight," Logan said blowing a smoke
"He sounds weird is he strong?" Luffy asked in curiosity and excitement
"I don't know, I only know that he was a cabin boy of Roger's crew alongside Redhead Shanks," Logan said looking at the crew members and raising an eyebrow when he saw Luffy get excited
"You know Shanks? He's the one that gave me this hat," Luffy said excitement in his voice, and Logan's eyes winded
"Wait, you're the kid that stabbed himself in the eye to prove himself as a man?" Logan said with a chuckle and Luffy scratched his head nervously
"Yeah, I wanted to join his pirate crew," Luffy said with a chuckle and Logan laughed hard
"Capn' you don't know how many times that drunkard talk about ya'" Logan said with a smile on his face
"He was a drunk alright, thanks to him I have my dream and my fruit powers," Luffy said with a smile on his face "I remember how he drank all the bar and got into a fight with a bounty hunter," Luffy said with a chuckle as the wind blew his hat away and before it could fly away Logan caught it and brought it down
"You keep getting more interesting Capn'" Logan said putting the hat back on Luffy's head "Benn never did talk about me, right?" Logan said with a chuckle
"No he didn't," Luffy said shaking his head and Logan chuckled
"Yeah, that seems about right," Logan said sitting down and looking at Zoro "And you, how did you become a hunter?" Logan asked and Zoro sighed
"Some dudes started a fight with me, and I beat them up, turns out they were pirates, and next thing I knew, I was traveling through islands and beating pirates," Zoro said and Logan's sweat dropped
"And I had to actually defeat four mid-level pirates to become one, how's that fair?" Logan asked in curiosity as Zoro chuckled
"Tough world vice-captain," Zoro said with a chuckle and Logan chuckled as he took a drag of his cigarette
"I'm so hungry!" Luffy said holding his stomach and looking up
"You don't get to say that cap'n, not after eating all our food yesterday," Logan said as Luffy chuckled, and then his eyes winded
"Oh look a bird, think we can make it as food?" Luffy said excitedly as saliva dropped from his mouth
"Is too far up, unless you can go there I don't know if we can cook it," Logan said, and then he regrated his words as Luffy cocked back his fist and stretched it as he push it forward and managed to grab the bird "Cap'n wait," Logan said but it was too late as Luffy flew rapidly up
"Why are you worried?" Zoro asked as they both lookup
"That big of a shadow, from this angle, that bird must be huge and I have a bad feeling about this," Logan said looking up
And just like he said Luffy got stuck in the bird's mouth and the bird flew away quickly
"Shit, Zoro grab the oars, I'll direct you let's go!" Logan said as Zoro nodded and started rowing hard
Logan tried to direct Zoro but he underestimated the lack of direction Zoro had as he had to keep correcting his direction several times
Then they saw some dudes on the ocean and Logan frowned when he saw them "Don't stop Zoro our cap'n takes precedence," Logan said as Zoro nodded and kept rowing "Partners if you want help, you'll have to jump," Logan said as the trio of dudes jumped inside and landed behind Logan and Zoro
"Stop the boat, we're part of the buggy crew, and we're commandeering this," The leader of the group started saying but then a gunshot sounded and it blew a whole on the pirate's head
"I'm not in the mood shitheads, so you two, either you make yourself useful or you'll follow his fate," Logan said pointing his revolver at the two pirates who gulped in fear and nodded as they grabbed the oars and started rowing
Logan threw the dead body into the sea and took a seat on the ship in front of Zoro "You don't have any problem with me killing, do you?" Logan asked looking at Zoro
"Not really, we're criminals, and you're deadly, I can appreciate that," Zoro said and Logan chuckled
"Don't like it myself, but is the only thing I know how to do good," Logan said looking at his black revolver "That's why at least I try to make my goals good so that I can sleep at night," Logan said pointing the gun at one of the dudes who where rowing "But killing you, well I will sleep so profoundly if I do it, so I'll need the information to let you live," Logan said as the guys gulped again in fear
"Let's start on the basics, why were you on the water?" Logan asked in curiosity
"A girl with orange hair tricked us and stole our boat," One of the guy's said and Logan's eyes winded
"So, she went straight for Buggy huh?" Logan thought as he frown again "Okay then, now, start spilling about your cap'n leave no details untold," Logan said glaring at them as his eyes started glowing deep red
Logan and Zoro listen closely to the information as they prepared mentally to enter the enemy lines
