Greeting readers! Both old and new ones! I am her to present you a brand-new story from my works. It's going to be a working progress since this type of crossover is a bit brand new. I mean, there are others like this, but none for Kingdom Hearts. It's going to be Sora going into the Dragon Age world…as the Inquisitor! That is right people, this story will take place during the Dragon Age: Inquisition storyline! The story will take place after Kingdom Hearts 3 and before the one-year skip in the DLC as Sora is transported to the Dragon Age world. I feel like Sora would fit into the story a bit more because I believe, even though he will witness blood, gore and a lot of death, he has what it takes to save this world. Even though he will make difficult choices and face things he isn't normally use to, but he is strong enough to overcome that and adapt as he journeys through this tough world.

Even though this is rated T, here is a brief warning: this story will include, blood/violence, bit of gore, strong language, bit of sexual content (just implied) and alcohol (to be safe).

Anyways, with that out of the way, I present to you all: Kingdom Hearts: Inquisition!

Chapter 1

Darkness…that is all what Sora saw before him…

After his fight with the mysterious young man, someone Sora knew as Yozora, everything went black and he was once again floating in darkness. It all happened when he used his Power of Waking to save Kairi, and when he did and saved her, he faded from existence. He knew he was going to pay the ultimate price to save her, but if that meant him disappearing, it was a price worth paying. But…now here he is…all alone in darkness. As long as Kairi was safe, that is all that matters. However, if there was a way for Sora to leave this place and find a way back, that would be great at this moment.

At least, that is what he hopes…

Child of the sea and sky, this is not the end for you.

"Huh? Who's there? Who are you?"

You have proven yourself to be a worthy warrior. I have chosen you…to save my world.

"Your world? What are you talking about?"

Instead of a reply, Sora's vision started to brighten up as there was a green light ahead of him getting bigger and bigger until it fully blinded him. What seems to be like a long time, Sora felt himself laying on the ground. As he continued to lay on the ground, he felt a strange pain in his left hand that caused him to stir up a bit. As Sora slowly got up on his feet and opened his eyes, he was a bit shocked to see the environment around him. The place almost looked like the Realm of Darkness, except that the place was covered in a thick fog, there were rocks everywhere and the place was…kind of green compare to how dark the Realm of Darkness was. As he looked around, he noticed a stairway leading up…and a glowing figure of a woman was there on the top…almost reaching her hand to him. Seeing how he is in the middle of nowhere, Sora slowly made his way to the stairs. As he was climbing up the stairs, about halfway, he heard noises behind him, and when he turned around, he saw Shadow Heartless making his way towards him! Seeing how close they were to him and not knowing where he was, his only choice was to hurry up the stairs. As he was close to the top, seeing the woman made out of light reaching her hand to him, Sora held out his left hand and tried to reach for her bit by bit until everything turned green and then black.

A sharp pain awoke Sora once again. When he slowly opened his eyes, Sora saw that he was in some sort of dungeon and that there were guards standing near him with their swords drawn at him. When he took a closer look at himself, he saw that he was on his knees and that his hands were cuffed in a wooden plank. He felt a strange feeling in his left hand, and when he looks at it, it started to glow green and sparked a bit, causing him some slight pain.

As Sora cried in pain, he thought "What…What is this?"

His thoughts were interrupted when he heard the doors opened, Sora looked up and saw two women walking through it. When he got a closer look, one of them was a short-haired woman in armor with a cheek scar on her left cheek and the other was wearing robes that were unique. These two women were Cassandra and Leliana, the Right and Left Hands of the Divine.

As the two walked towards Sora and the guards sheathed their swords, Cassandra walked around Sora before she leaned in towards his ear and said "Tell me why we shouldn't kill you now."

A bit shocked of what she said, Sora turned to her and said "W-What?! What did I do?!"

Cassandra walked in front of him and said "The Conclave is destroyed, everyone who attended is dead…except for you…"

Not knowing what was going on, Sora replied "I…I have no idea what is going on."

She then grabbed his left arm, held it to his face and asked "Explain this."

As his hand flared green once again, Cassandra threw his hand down as he replied "I…I don't know…"

"What do you mean you don't?!" Cassandra shouted at him.

Sora then shouted "I don't know what it is! I've never seen anything like it!"

Cassandra then grabbed his shoulders and shouted "You're lying!"

Seeing Cassandra a bit aggressive at the boy, Leliana grabbed her as she pulled her away and said "We need him, Cassandra."

Still a bit shaken by his current situation, Sora looked at them and said "I don't know what is going on here. What's happening? And why is this…thing on my hand?"

The both women looked at each other before Leliana walked up to him and calmly asked "Do you remember what happened? How this began?"

Thinking about what happened before he ended up like this, Sora replied "I…I remember…falling into the darkness…then when I woke up…I was chased by some Heartless…and…I saw a woman."

"A woman?" Leliana asked.

Sora nodded as he replied "I remember her trying to help me, but after that…I can't remember anything else."

As both Leliana and Cassandra looked at each other, Cassandra said "Go to the forward camp, Leliana. I will take him to the Rift."

As Leliana nodded and left, Cassandra walked up to Sora as she unchained him, he looked at her and asked "What exactly happened?"

When Cassandra tied his hands together and picked him up, she replied "It…will be easier to show you."

She then started to walk ahead as Sora followed right behind him. He has no idea what kind of trouble he was in, but it didn't look good. Just what was this Conclave and…people being died? Just what was going on here? The moment they stepped outside, Sora heard a loud crack in the sky, almost like lightning, and when he looked up, that is when he saw it: a giant green hole in the sky as a beam of energy danced out of it. He had seen a lot of things in his travels, but this…this was something new.

As he was a bit amazed by it, Cassandra said "We call it 'The Breach'. It's a massive rift into the world of demons that grows larger with each passing hour. It's not the only such Rift, just the largest. All were caused by the explosion at the Conclave."

Sora was shocked as he said "T-That was caused by an explosion?! And…it killed people?"

Cassandra nodded and said "Unless we act, the Breach may grow until it swallows the world."

Just then, as the large Rift released a large pulse of energy, Sora's left hand glowed green as it caused him a lot of pain as he cried and fell to his knees. Cassandra kneels before him and said "Each time the Breach expands, your mark spreads…and it is killing you."

"W-What?!" Sora shouted, "This thing is killing me?!"

"It may also be the key to stopping this," Cassandra said, "But there isn't much time."

As Sora calmed down from his sudden pain, he looked at Cassandra and said "If…If we can somehow stop this…then the pain in my hand will go away?"

Cassandra replied "I do not know. But we are limited on time."

She then grabbed him as he picked him up and escorted him to the gates. As they walk, Sora saw a bunch of people in panic while others were looking at him in rage. As Sora looked on, Cassandra then said "They have decided your guilt. They need it."

When Sora looked at her in confusion, she continued to say "The people of Haven mourn our Most Holy, Divine Justinia, Head of the Chantry, the Conclave was hers. It was a chance for peace between the Mages and Templars. She brought their leaders together. Now, they are dead."

While they continued on, Sora looked down in sadness as he thought "So…this Conclave was supposed to end a war between these Mages and Templars? And…I ruined that? But…I don't remember what happened. Or how I got here. And…whoever this Justinia is…she is dead too?"

When the gates opened and he and Cassandra walked through, she then said "We lash out, like the sky. But we much think beyond ourselves. As she did. Until the breach is sealed."

She then walked in front of him as she took out a dagger, cut the binds off of him and said "There will be a trial. I can promise no more."

Shocked, Sora said "But…I did nothing wrong. I…just don't remember anything."

"We shall see," Cassandra said, "Come. It is not far."

As she walked ahead and Sora followed her, she then said "Your Mark must be tested on something smaller than the breach."

While the two headed towards the gate and they passed through it, they made their way up the valley, the Breach flared up once again as it caused Sora's hand immense pain as he fell to his knees again. Cassandra helped him up and said "The pulses are coming faster now. The larger the Breach grows, the more Rifts appear, the more demons we face."

"Demons?" Sora thought, "Does she mean the Heartless?"

Sora then asked "Wait…so how did you find me?"

Cassandra replied "We found you after the explosion destroyed the Conclave. The soldiers that found you stepped out of a Rift, then fell unconscious. They say a woman was in the Rift behind you. No one knew who she was. Everything farther in the valley was laid to waste, including the Temple of Sacred Ashes. I suppose you'll see soon enough."

As they continued walking, Sora looked up at the large Rift and was starting to think what could have happened that caused that explosion. Just as they were about to cross a bridge, a large green blast destroyed the stone bridge as Sora and Cassandra fell to the icy floor bellow them. As Sora looked up, he saw another green blast crashing near them as a Shade Demon appeared.

When Sora saw it, he thought "That doesn't look like a Heartless. Is that a demon she talked about?"

Cassandra then stepped forward as she drew her sword and said "Stay behind me."

As she charged and fought the Shade Demon, there was a black mold appeared near Sora as another Shade appeared before him. Sora got into his fighting stance and summoned his Keyblade. But when he looked at it, it was his Kingdom Key instead of his Ultima Weapon. He tried to access his other Keyblades but had not luck. As the Shade got closer, he tried to cast a Firaga Spell, but he was unable to! While he was wondering what was wrong with him, that is when he remembered what Chirithy told him.

"You'll lose your powers. You won't be able to use the power of waking."

"Wait…so all my magic…Keyblades…and abilities…are all gone now?!" Sora thought as he internally screamed.

The moment the Shade got close and tried to claw him, Sora leaped back as he spun his Keyblade and said "Guess we are doing this the hard way!"

As soon as the Shade got closer, Sora gripped his Keyblade as he charged at the Shade and swung his Keyblade a few times. The Shade shuttered in pain as it soon died and vanished.

"Huh…" Sora said, "That…was a bit easy."

Once Cassandra finished killing the Shade she was fighting, Sora walked up to her and said "I think that is all of them."

However, she then pointed her sword at Sora and said in a demanding way "Drop your weapon, now."

Feeling a bit scared, Sora dismissed his Keyblade and said "Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Take it easy! I am on your side!"

But when Cassandra saw his weapon vanish into thin air, she was a bit surprised and said "Wait…how did you do that? What kind of magic was that?"

Sora replied "What? You mean this?"

When he held up his hand, he summoned his Keyblade again and said "I can summon my Keyblade when ever I get into a fight."

Cassandra's eyes widened and said "You mean you could have summoned that weapon at any time?"

"Well yeah," Sora dismisses it again, "There was no reason for me to summon my Keyblade at the time, so I didn't bother to."

Still a bit shocked, Cassandra said "But…you could have used it to escape."

"Even if I did, I wouldn't know where to go," Sora said, "I…am kinda new around here."

Cassandra sighed as she sheathed her sword and said "I cannot protect you, and I cannot expect you to be defenseless."

Sora gave her a cheerful smile as he put his hands behind his head and said "I can take care of myself pretty good."

As she shook her head and started to walk away, she then said "I should remember you agreed to come willingly."

While Sora nodded as the two of them headed into the valley, Sora then asked "Oh! By the way, I never got your name!"

Cassandra sighed and replied "My name is Cassandra Pentaghast. I am the Right Hand of the Divine."

"Right Hand?" Sora said, "Well, I am Sora!"

"Very well, Sora," Cassandra said as they encountered more Shades in their way as she took out his sword and shield, "More demons!"

Nodding in agreement, Sora summoned his Keyblade as he and Cassandra charged at the Shades. While Cassandra bashed her shield and slashed a Shade multiple times, Sora leaped towards the other one as he slashed the Shade a few times before he killed it. In the past, he learned that fighting the Heartless was challenging considering they have more numbers and are sometimes powerful. But theses…demons…they make it look easy! As they two continued to travel, not only did they encountered more Shades, but green ghostly ones called Wraiths, which could attack from a distance. While Cassandra defended herself from the Shades, Sora rushed towards the Wraiths, and with one slash from his Keyblade, he easily cuts them down.

Once the battle was finished and headed up the side of a cliff where there were stairs, Cassandra then said "We're getting close to the Rift. You can hear the fighting."

"Who else is fighting?" Sora asked.

Cassandra replied "You'll see soon. We must help them."

"On it!" Sora said as he quickly made his to where the battle was.

The moment he got there, he saw a couple of soldiers fighting the demons and there was a small Rift in the center of the battle. Before a Shade was about to kill a soldier, Sora rushed in and blocked the demon as he pushed it back. As the Shade shrieked and made it's way to Sora, he merely gripped his Keyblade as he evaded it's attack and slashed it a few times before killing it. Sora managed to take out a few more demons before one tried to attack him from behind, but an arrow bolt to the head stopped it as it fell to the ground dead before disappearing. Wanting to know who saved him, Sora turned around and he saw a dwarf with a large crossbow in his hands.

Before Sora could say or do anything, an elf grabbed his left hand and said "Quickly, before more come through!"

The moment the elf thrust Sora's left hand into the Rift, it started to condense before it 'exploded' into nothing. Once it was over, Sora looked at the elf and asked "What did you do?"

The elf looked at him and replied "I did nothing. The credit is yours."

A bit shocked, Sora looked at his left hand as he saw the green line on it and asked "I did that?"

The elf nodded and replied "Whatever magic opened the Breach in the sky also placed that mark upon your hand. I theorized the mark might be able to close the Rifts that have opened in the Breach's wake, and it seems I was correct."

Cassandra walked up to them and said "Meaning it could also close the Breach itself."

"Possibly," the elf said as he looked at Sora, "It seems you hold the key to our salvation."

Excited, Sora cheered and said "That's great! So all we need to do is go there and use the mark to seal it!"

Behind the, the dwarf said "Good to know! Here I thought we'd be ass-deep in demons forever."

"Swear!" Sora shouted as he pointed at him.

While Cassandra rolled her eyes, the dwarf walked up to Sora and said "Varric Tethras: rouge, storyteller, and occasionally unwelcome tagalong."

As Varric winked at Cassandra, she snarled at him as Sora said, "Well, it's good to meet you, Varric. My name is Sora."

The elf next to him said "You may reconsider that stance, in time."

When Sora gave him a confused look, Varric said "Aww, I'm sure we'll become great friends in the valley, Chuckles."

Cassandra then said "Absolutely not. Your help is appreciated, Varric, but…"

Varric interrupted her by saying "Have you been in the valley lately, Seeker? Your soldiers aren't in control anymore. You need me."

While Cassandra grunted and walked away, the elf looked at Sora and said "My name is Solas, if there are to be introductions."

Sora looked at him, smiled and said "Nice to meet you, Solas!"

As Solas nodded, he then said "I am pleased to see you still live."

When Sora gave him a confused look, Varric said "He means 'I kept that mark from killing you while you slept'."

A bit surprised, Sora looked at Solas and asked "You know about the mark?"

Cassandra replied "Solas is an Apostate, well-verse in such matters."

Solas then said "Technically all mages are now Apostates, Cassandra. My travels have allowed me to learn much of the Fade, far beyond the experience of any Circle Mage. I came to offer whatever help I can give with the Breach. If it is not closed, we are all doomed, regardless of origin."

Sora was amazed and said "Wow, you really must be smart in magic!"

Solas merely shrugged and said "It's merely sensible, although sense appears to be in short supply right now."

He then looks at Cassandra and said "Cassandra, you should know: the magic involved here is unlike any I have seen. Your prisoner is no mage. Indeed, I find it difficult to imagine any mage having such powers."

"You might want to rethink that," Cassandra said as he motioned her arm at Sora, "The prisoner may be a mage since he can summon his weapon at will."

"I have a name, you know!" Sora said, "And yeah, I can use magic. Well…not at the moment since I lost my abilities. But I can still summon this!"

As he held up his hand and summoned his Keyblade, Solas was completely amazed as Varric said "A giant key? Really? That is your weapon? Might as well blunt the demons to death."

As Sora rolled his eyes, Solas carefully walked up to Sora and said "No…it can't be…it is! It's a Keyblade!"

As Cassandra and Varric gave him a confused looked, Sora was a bit excited and asked "You know about the Keyblade?!"

"I do," Solas replied, "Though there isn't much information about it, but with the information I have gathered while in the Fade, there is a story behind those who wield a Keyblade. It tells that those who posses these weapons are summoned for a great purpose."

Sora chuckled and said "Seems about right."

Solas then turned to Cassandra and said "If this boy has a Keyblade, then it's no coincidence that the mark placed itself on his hand. I believe it is a sign."

Cassandra then said "Then let us get to the forward camp and find out if this sign is a good one."

As Solas and Cassandra walked ahead, Varric walked next to Sora and said "Well, Bianca's excited."

While Varric walked ahead, Sora stood there in confusion and asked "Who is Bianca?"

It has been a long trip to reach the forward camp. Along the way, they encountered more Shades and Wraiths, but with everyone's combined strengths, they managed to take the demons down. Solas was a talented mage as he used his staff to fire bolts of fire at the demons while casting a spell of protection for everyone to prevent taking any damage. Meanwhile, Varric was good with the crossbow, or Bianca as he calls it, as he shot down demon after demon that was charging towards them. And of course, Cassandra was holding her own with her fighting skills as she would block and attack any demon that tries to attack her. As for Sora, taking out these demons was a piece of cake. However…when he saw that these demons are killing innocent people in their way…that made him fell angry. Even though the Heartless can take a person's heart and their bodies would vanish, these demons are far worse as they leave dead bodies around.

Along the way, Sora learned that Varric was also a prisoner, but unlike Sora, he was brought in because he knew someone Cassandra was looking, which sadly, Varric told her he knew nothing. Before they reached the camp, they encountered a small Rift as demons poured out of it. Wanting to test the Mark, Sora used on the Rift and caused some sort of distortion to the demons nearby and they all manage to take them out like nothing. Once all the demons were dead, Sora used the mark one last time before he completely sealed the Rift. After that, the gates were opened and they all headed inside. When they reached the forward camp, Sora and the others saw Leliana talking to, what Sora believed to be, a priest of some kind.

When they got closer, Leliana saw them as the priest sees them as well and said "Ah, here they come."

As they were near, Leliana walked up to Cassandra and Sora and said "You made it. Chancellor Roderick, this is—"

Before she could finish, Roderick said "I know who he is. As Grand Chancellor of the Chantry, I hereby order you to take this criminal to Val Royeaux to face execution."

"Execution?!" Sora shouted, "But I didn't do anything!"

Varric whispered to Solas "To think the Chantry is so desperate, they are willing to execute the kid."

While Solas nodded, Cassandra on the other hand said "Order me?! You are a glorified clerk! A bureaucrat!"

Roderick then said "And you are a thug, but a thug who supposedly serves the Chantry!"

Leliana stepped in and said "We serve the Most Holy, Chancellor. As you well know."

"Justinia is dead!" Roderick said, "We must elect a replacement, and obey her orders on the matter!"

"So what? You are just gonna wait around and do nothing?" Sora asked, "Isn't the Breach important right now?!"

Roderick narrowed his eyes at Sora and said "You brought this on us in the first place, boy! I do not know what kind of magic caused you to create that explosion, but your actions caused the death of Divine Justinia along with many members of the Chantry!"

As Cassandra was in front of Roderick, keeping his focus on her instead of Sora as the Chancellor said "Call a retreat, Seeker. Our position here is hopeless."

"We can stop this before it's too late," Cassandra said.

Roderick shook his head and said "How? You won't survive lone enough to reach the temple, even with all your soldiers."

Cassandra then said "We must get to the temple. It's the quickest route."

Leliana then said "But not the safest. Our forces can charge as a distraction while we go through the mountains."

As Sora looked at the mountains, Cassandra said "We lost contact with an entire squad on that path, it's too risky."

Roderick then said "Listen to me, abandon this now before more lives are lost!"

Just then, the Breach sent out yet another pulse of energy as Sora's hand glowed and caused him a bit of pain. As he calmed down from the sudden pain, Cassandra walked up to him and asked "What do you think we should proceed?"

When she asked him that, Sora thought about it and said "Well…I don't want any more lives to be lost."

"Thank you," Roderick said, "Even a criminal like him knows that…"

"That is why we are going to the front line!" Sora declared.

While Roderick was baffled, Sora said "If it's the only shortest way to the Breach, then I say we go and save as many people as we can!"

As everyone was a bit surprised that as young man like him would go out of his way to rush into danger to save people, Cassandra nodded as she turned to Leliana and said "Leliana, bring everyone left in the valley. Everyone."

When Leliana nodded and headed out while Sora and the others made their way to the forces, Roderick then said "On your head be the consequences, Seeker."

But Cassandra ignored him as she and the others made their way up the mountain and joined up with the soldiers. Once they got there, they saw a Rift standing in their way as Shades and Wraiths appeared and were attacking the soldiers. Seeing the soldiers in trouble, Sora summoned his Keyblade while the others took out their weapons and charged in. Seeing that they were the normal demons, they managed to take them out with ease, but when the second wave appeared, they were Wraiths along with Terror Demons. When Sora was about to take one out, one of the Terror Demons went underground and appeared under him and knocked him to the ground. Quickly getting onto his feet, Sora moved away as he used the mark to cause a distortion to the demons and, once they were, everyone attacked at once and they killed the Wraiths and the Terror Demons. Once they Rift was clear, Sora used his mark on it to completely seal it off.

Feeling a bit proud of himself, Sora stood there as Solas walked up to him and said "Sealed, as before. You are becoming quite proficient at this."

"Thanks!" Sora said, "There isn't much concentration to it, and I don't feel it draining my magic. All I have to do is aim and let the mark do all the work."

Varric then walked up next to them and said "Let's hope it works on the big one."

As Sora nodded, a man wearing armor walked up to Cassandra and said "Lady Cassandra, you managed to close the Rift? Well done."

Cassandra sighed as she turned to Sora and said "Do not congratulate me, commander. This is the prisoner's doing."

"Is it?" the commander said as he looked at Sora, "I hope they're right about you. We've lost a lot of people getting you here."

Sora sadly looked down and said "Well, I will try my best to close the Breach."

"That's all we can ask," the commander said calmly as he looked at Cassandra, "The way to the temple should be clear. Leliana will try to meet you there."

Cassandra then said "Then we'd best move quickly. Give us time, commander."

The commander nodded as he said "Maker watch over you, for all our sakes."

Aa he left, Sora and the others made their way to the destroyed temple. But the moment Sora and the others landed on the scorched ground, Sora looked at the bodies…and almost threw up as he saw the corpses nothing more than burning flesh. The moment Sora inhaled the smell of burning flesh, he gagged and tried to cover it up, but was unable to. The moment they entered the ruined temple, that is when they all saw the place leveled completely as a giant Rift was floating in the center of it all as a beam of energy was connected to the hole in the sky. Sora also noticed that there were red crystals around the place, and he felt a bit uneasy around them.

Everyone looked around as Varric said "The Breach is a long way up."

"Tell me about it," Sora said as he looked around, "Don't know how to get up there."

Just then, Leliana showed up with a handful of soldiers and said "You're here. Thank the Maker."

Everyone turned to her as Cassandra said "Leliana, have your men take up positions around the temple."

When Leliana and took her men, Cassandra walked up next to Sora and said "This is your chance to end this. Are you ready?"

Sora confidently nodded and said "I got this! Though…I need to find a way to get up there."

As Sora looked up, Solas then said "No, this Rift was the first. And it is the key. Seal it, and perhaps we seal the Breach."

"Worth a shot!" Sora cried.

Cassandra nodded as she said "Then let's find a way down. And be careful."

When they nodded, they carefully walked alongside the wall as they made their way down. Along the way, a dread voice suddenly spoke "Now is the hour of our victory. Bring forth the sacrifice."

"What was that?!" Sora asked as he jumped a bit and he looked around.

"Indeed," Cassandra said, "What are we hearing?"

Solas then replied "At a guess: the person who created the Breach."

Now knowing who created the Breach, maybe that will clear Sora's name. Just as they continued to walk on the trial, that is when Sora got a closer look at the red crystal as Varric said "You know this stuff is Red Lyrium, Seeker."

Cassandra then said "I see it, Varric."

"But what's it doing here?" Varric asked.

Solas replied "Magic could have drawn on Lyrium beneath the temple, corrupted it…"

Varric huffed and said "It's evil. Whatever you do, don't touch it."

Sora followed Varric's advise and tried not to get near it. But the moment he accidently got near a large block of it, Sora started to sweat heavily as he suddenly collapsed to his knees. The others saw him as Solas rushed to his side and picked Sora up. Varric rushed up to him and said "You doing ok there, Spikey? I know it's a lot to take in, but…"

"No…" Sora said as he felt himself getting weaker, "Something…is wrong with me. I suddenly feel weak. I don't know why…"

However, Solas noticed that they were near Red Lyrium and said "It's the Red Lyrium. It's somehow weakening him. You have to stay your distance from it."

Sora nodded as Solas and Cassandra helped him away from the Red Lyruim. Once he recovered a bit thanks to a potion Cassandra had, they made their way down to the temple. Just then, the dreaded voice said "Keep the sacrifice still."

Jus then, another voice, this time the voice of an older woman, cried "Someone help me!"

Cassandra immediately knew the voice and cried "That is Divine Justinia's voice!"

"And it sounds like whoever this guy was, he said something about a sacrifice," Sora said.

Once they reached the ground and slowly approached the Rift, Sora's left hand glowed green when he was near it as they heard Justinia's voice cried "Someone help me!"

"What's going on here?"

The moment the last voice spoke, Sora's eyes widen when he heard that it was his voice that spoke! Also shocked, Cassandra looked at him and said "That was your voice. Most Holy called out to you. But…"

Just then, the energy flared up as everyone saw a large dark figure appear before them. Before Sora could take out his Keyblade, he also saw a woman in front of the shadow figure. From what Sora could guess, this woman might be Divine Justinia since she was wearing the same outfit as Roderick, except hers was more elegant and regal. And from the looks of it, her arms were held out like she was caught in a magic bind.

Just then, off to the side, Sora saw…an illusion image of himself rushing in and asked in a demanding way "What's going on here?!"

Justinia looked at the illusion Sora and said "Run while you can! Warn them!"

The shadow figure then spoke in the dread voice "We have an intruder. Kill the boy, now!"

With another pulse of energy, everything vanished. Cassandra then looked at Sora and said "You were there! Who attacked? And the Divine, is she…? Was this vision true? What are we seeing?"

"I am as lost as you are," Sora said, "And I don't remember this happening. I told you what I remembered."

Solas walked up to the Rift and said "Echoes of what happened here. The Fade bleeds into this place. This Rift is not sealed, but it is closed…albeit temporary. I believe that with the mark, the Rift can be opened, and then sealed properly and safely. However, opening the Rift will likely attract attention from the other side."

"That means demons!" Cassandra shouted, "Stand ready!"

When she gave out the order, every soldier got into position as the archers readied their bows. Once everyone was set, Cassandra turned to Sora and when she gave him the signal to proceed, Sora nodded back as he held up his left hand and used the Mark to shoot out a beam of green energy at the Rift. After a few seconds, the Rift opened up and a large demon, a Pride Demon to be exact, appeared out of thin air.

As it's large body touched the ground, Cassandra shouted "Now!"

On Cassandra's signal, everyone shot their arrows at the Pride Demon. However, the arrows did little damage as some managed to harm the demon but the rest merely bounced off of it. The Pride Demon laughed in mockery at their failure. Gripping his Keyblade, Sora charged at the Pride Demon and was about to attack it as it pulled over his right arm and when it brought it towards Sora, it created a lightning whip and knocked Sora to the side while shocking him in the process. In a safe distance, Varric was using his crossbow to fire bolts at the demon while Solas fired fire bolts from his staff to harm the demon. However, the Pride Demon chuckled as it's skin reinforced itself as it held out it's left hand and fired a ball of lightning at them, which they took head on and shocked them painfully. Cassandra and a few soldiers were slashing their weapons at the Pride Demon's legs, but even their weapons were having no effect on the demon. The Pride Demon once again created a lightning whip and swung it at Cassandra and the soldiers and knocked them away. As Cassandra tried to get up, she looked up and saw the Pride Demon raising it's right claw and brought it down on her. On instincts, when Cassandra raised her shield to try to defend herself from the demon's attack when, out of nowhere, Sora leaped in and swung his Keyblade at the demon's claw, managing to knock it away from Cassandra.

As the Pride Demon flexed his claw and looked at Sora, Sora got into his fighting stance and said "Gotta try a lot harder than that to knock me down."

The Pride Demon snarled at him as it charged towards Sora and brought down it's right claw. But Sora was fast enough to evade it's attack as he delivered a few powerful blows to the demon's left side of it's body. The Pride Demon grunted as it created another lightning whip and swung it at Sora. However, this time, Sora moved out of the way and far away from the demon. Once he was in a safe distance, Sora gripped his Keyblade and hurled it at the Pride Demon's face, delivering a powerful to it's face as it covered it in pain. Everyone witnessing this fight between this young boy and a powerful demon was in shock and awe as they witness the boy hurting the demon, something they were unable to do.

Seeing Sora threw his Keyblade at the demon and see it fall to the side, Varric shook his head and said "Now he is defenseless."

However, Solas shook his head and said "No, I don't believe he would throw away his weapon like that is he didn't know what he was doing."

Seeing Sora weaponless, the Pride Demon chuckled as it swung it's fist at Sora. Sora then held up his hands as the Keyblade glowed, disappeared, then reappeared in Sora's hands and managed to block the demon's attack. The force knocked Sora back a bit, but he regained his footing as he glared at the demon.

"Darn," Sora said to himself, "This thing is tough. I need to beat it somehow."

Just as the Pride Demon was about to charge at him, an arrow flew out of nowhere and struck into the demon's left eye. The Pride Demon roared in pain as it looked over and saw Leliana pulling back another arrow from her bow and firing it at the demon. The Pride Demon roared as it made it's way to Leliana as more of the archers fired their arrows at it.

Before Sora was about to intervene, Solas shouted "Sora! Use the mark to weaken it!"

Understanding that everyone was distracting the Pride Demon, Sora held out his left hand and used to Mark on the Rift to cause it to explode and distorted the Pride Demon. Once it was weakened, Sora rushed in once again leaped into the air and delivered a powerful blow to it's face and knocked it to it's back. As the Pride Demon laid there unconscious, Cassandra shouted "Sora! Use the Mark now!"

Sora nodded as he rushed towards the Rift, held his left hand towards it and used the mark on the Rift. However, unlike the other Rifts, this one was proving to be more difficult. With all his might, Sora pushed his hand forward as he concentrated more on the Rift, when all of a sudden, the Rift unleashed a powerful pulse that knocked everyone around as it unleashed green energy everywhere. The blast knocked Sora so far that he slammed into a wall as his hit head hard and soon everything went dark for him once again.

"Ugh…"

Sora groaned in pain as he slowly opened his eyes and sat up. Once he regained conscious, he looked around and saw that he was in a small wooden home and that he was laying on a soft bed. Wondering what was going on, as Sora looked around, he saw an elf woman carrying sheets.

When she saw him, she got startled and dropped what she was holding in her hands and said "Oh! I didn't know you were awake, I swear!"

Sora said calmly "It's ok, I just got up. You don't need to—"

Before he could finish, the elf woman got on her hands and knees and said "I beg your forgiveness and your blessing. I am but a humble servant."

Feeling a bit uncomfortable with how she was acting, Sora quickly got on his feet and said "Uh, you don't have to…do that. Just…where am I?"

The elf woman replied "You are back at Haven, my lord."

"Lord?" Sora asked confusingly.

The elf woman nodded and replied "They say you saved us. The Breach stopped growing, just like the Mark on your hand."

When she said that, Sora looked down at his left hand and saw the Mark flared up a bit as he felt a bit pain in his hand, but not so much as before. The elf girl then said "It's all anyone has talked about for the last three days."

"Three days?!" Sora cried, "I was out for three days?! What about the Breach?!"

The elf woman replied as she got up "The Breach is still in the sky, but that's what they say. I'm certain Lady Cassandra would want to know you've wakened. She said 'At once'."

Curious, Sora looked at her, as he noticed her slowly walking towards the door behind her and asked "Well, where is she?"

The elf woman replied "In the Chantry, with the Lord Chancellor. 'At once' she said."

After she said that, the elf girl quickly rushed out and left Sora alone. Once she was gone, Sora stood there and said to himself "Why was she…scared of me?"

Wanting to find Cassandra, Sora made his way to the door, and when he opened it, that is when he saw a crowd of people in front of him as there were two lines of soldiers apart, creating a path for Sora to walk to lead him somewhere and there were two soldiers facing him with their right fists over their hearts and bowed their head at him. Not knowing what was going on, Sora carefully walked towards them and slowly walked past them as he walked between the two lines of lines of guards. As he was making his way the chantry, he head people behind the lines of guards talking about him.

"Is…Is that the boy who stopped the Breach?"

"He looks very young."

"It's him…the Herald of Andraste."

"I heard, when he stepped out of the Fade, Andraste herself was watching over him."

"Andraste?" Sora thought, "Who is that?"

After a while of walking, Sora eventually arrived at the chantry and entered the building. Seeing a door in the far end of the room, when he walked up to it and was about to reach for it, he heard Roderick's voice shouting "Have you gone completely mad?! He should be taken to Val Royeaux, to be tried by whomever becomes Divine!"

Cassandra's voice then said "I do not believe he is guilty."

"The prisoner failed, Seeker," Roderick said, "The Breach is still in the sky. For all you know, he intended it this way."

"I do not believe that," Cassandra said back to him.

"That is not for you to decide," Roderick said, "Your duty is to serve the Chantry."

Cassandra then said "My duty is to serve the principles on which the Chantry was founded, Chancellor. As is yours."

While he heard all of that, Sora was a bit uneasy on what will happen to him. He failed to close the Breach as it was still in the sky, and now, he might be in more trouble. Taking a deep breath, Sora opened the door as he walked in and saw Roderick, Cassandra and Leliana near a large table as two guards were near the door behind him as he entered the room.

When Roderick saw him, he immediately said "Chain him! I want him prepared for travel to the capital for trial!"

Before Sora could say anything, Cassandra then said "Disregard that and leave us."

The guards saluted as they left the room and closed the door behind Sora. Now that they are alone, Roderick said "You walk a dangerous line, Seeker."

Cassandra looked at him and said "The Breach is stable, but it is still a threat. I will not ignore it."

Deciding to speak, Sora said "I'm sorry, I tried my best to close the Breach, but…"

"But is wasn't enough!" Roderick shouted.

Cassandra defended Sora by saying "But he prevented it from getting worse."

Leliana then stepped in and said "Someone was behind the explosion at the Conclave. Someone Most Holy did not expect. Perhaps they died with the others, or have allies who yet live."

Realizing what she meant, Roderick said "I am a suspect?!"

Leliana replied "You, and many others."

"But not the prisoner?" Roderick asked.

Sora then said "I am right here! Besides, we know who it was! Whatever that shadow figure was, they are responsible for all of this!"

"He is right," Cassandra said, "I heard the voices in the temple, The Divine called to him for help."

Roderick then said "So his survival, that THING on his hand, all a coincidence?"

Sora muttered "Wouldn't be the first time strange things happened to me."

Cassandra replied "Providence. The Maker sent him to us in our darkest hour."

Seeing her defend him, Sora gave her a smile and said "So you changed your mind about me?"

Cassandra looked at him and replied "I was wrong. Perhaps I still am. I will not, however, pretend you were not exactly what we needed when we needed it."

After she said that, she walked towards a nearby table behind her as Leliana then said "The Breach remains, and your mark is still our only hope of closing it."

Roderick glared at her and said "This is not for you to decide."

When Cassandra returned, she had a large book in her hand as she slammed it on the table. Sora looked at it, he saw that it was an old book with a symbol that had an eye on it that was in front of a sun of some kind. Cassandra looked back at Roderick and said "You know what this is, Chancellor? A writ from the Divine, granting us the authority to act. As of this moment, I declare the Inquisition reborn."

She then got up on Roderick's face and said "We will close the Breach, we will find those responsible, and we will restore order. With or without your approval."

Knowing he is arguing a lost cause, Roderick just left the room, leaving Sora, Cassandra and Leliana alone. Once he was gone, Sora looked at them and asked "So…what's this about an Inquisition?"

Leliana replied as she placed her hand on the book "This is the Divine's directive: rebuild the Inquisition of old. Find those who will stand against the chaos. We aren't ready. We have no leader, no numbers, and now no Chantry support."

"But we have no choice," Cassandra said, "We must act now."

She then looked at Sora and said, "With you at our side."

"M-Me?" Sora asked, "I mean, it's nice that you two helped me against that Roderick guy, but I am not at my best right now."

Leliana then said "Not your best? I saw you take down a Pride Demon by yourself. Even without our help, you still manage to beat it with your own strength."

"And if you are a mage and were unable to use your magic," Cassandra said, "Your strength alone outmatches 20 of our best soldiers. That is not an easy feat."

Sora thought about it and said "Well…it will be a while before my friends could find me."

"You have people looking for you?" Leliana asked, "Are you on the run or something?"

Sora shook his head and replied "No, nothing like that. It's a long story."

He then gave them a serious look and said "But if you need my help, I am with you guys. Even though we got off on the wrong foot, we can forget that and focus on closing that Breach. That should be our goal."

Both Leliana and Cassandra nodded as Cassandra said "Thank you. For what is worth, we are glad to have you on our side."

As she held out her hand, Sora smiled as he shook her hand, accepting their alliance. And thus, on that day, the Inquisition is reborn once again!

And thus starts Sora new adventure! I have been waiting for me to make this story, I hope you all like this! Depending on how you all enjoy this first chapter, I will find the time to continue this story. Now, here is the tricky part: since the game is based on the actions you do and the ending could be different, I am going to base it off of the choices and ending from my version of the game (yes, I have played it multiple times, each with different choices and different endings). Which choices did I make that Sora will do in this story, you will find out. However, since the Dragon Age game is full of choices we make, I am curious on what you guys think Sora will choose based on the choices in the game. So here is the first one: which side should Sora join, the Templars or the Mages? Let me know in the reviews what you think and I will see you all next time.

Until then, please stay safe and review!
