Lucius Malfoy was currently laying on the ground wondering how he got there. When he got up he looked around and spotted a house-elf that he vaguely recognised as his own. "Bad master will never hurt Harry Potter" Lucius stood up, sneered at the elf, and brushed his robes off.

"Good day to you, Mister Potter." He twirled around and stormed down the hallway.

"Thank you Dobby."

"It is a pleasure Harry Potter, sir," Dobby popped away and Harry continued his journey to the Headmaster's office. He walked up to the door and it swung open. He walked in and was greeted by the Headmaster and a mysterious man next to the desk.

"Come in Harry."

"Hello professor, who is this?"

"This, my boy, is your fathers second cousin. His name is Gabriel Potter. He is originally from Ghana but came to help with the war. Shortly before your parents went into hiding Gabriel went on a mission to help bring the werewolves to our side. When your parents were murdered, he was alerted and tried to apparate across the country. Unfortunately it is impossible to do so and he was put in a coma. Somehow he woke up."

Harry was shocked but managed to ask Gabriel a question, "How did you wake up." Gabriel smiled and responded,

"The very same magic that told me your dad was dead. Potter blood had been spilt so the family magic alerted every Potter in the world. Unfortunately it's just us left. Dumbledore has given permission, albeit reluctantly, for me to take you to Potter manor for the summer."

"What will we be doing?"

"That is a secret. I will tell you when we arrive at the manor. There are a lot of things you must know about everything. I will meet you at Privet Drive. Now go and find your friends, I heard a certain witch was being woken up today."

Harry started beaming and dropped both the diary and the sword of gryffindor and ran out of the office to the hospital wing. Gabriel chuckled at the boy's enthusiasm before sobering up. He walked over to the diary and the sword and picked both up. As soon as he touched the diary he felt dark magic wash over him. He walked back over to Dumbledore's desk and dropped the diary onto it.

"The boy is being poisoned. Not just from the Basilisk venom but the Horcrux in his head. Did you know of this when you gave him to his aunt?"

"I felt some dark magic but I never thought Tom would put one in a living being."

"He definitely chose the right host. Harry is probably the most powerful Potter in centuries."

"How is that possible?"

"Lily made it possible. Her blood cleansed the Potter blood and created the most powerful wizard to ever live."

"Astonishing, I had thought that muggleborns could clean the result of inbreeding. Are you going to tell him about the curse?"

"I fear that I must. He will need to know for the coming years." Dumbledore nodded, and Gabriel began cleaning the sword.

He waved his hand over the sword, collecting all the blood and venom off it before putting the sword down and conjuring a jar with the other hand. He placed the liquid into the jar, closed it, and sealed it with a powerful charm.

"Do you plan to teach Harry how to do those things," Dumbledore questioned. Gabriel, without a word, placed the jar onto the desk and took the sword. He put it away in a sheath he conjured on his back and began to walk out.

"You know what the diary is and so do I. If you find any more, put them in the liquid. Do you understand," When he heard no answer he turned around and repeated himself, "Do you understand," Dumbledore nodded his head and mumbled an agreement. Gabriel turned around and walked away with parting words, "Good day Headmaster."

Down in the Hospital wing, Hermione was being administered the cure as Harry ran through the doors. "Mr. Potter! Would it kill you to have a little respect for my hospital? It seems that you're barging in almost every week," Madame Pomfrey scolded.

"Hi Madame Pomfrey. I can't help getting hurt. Trouble just seems to find me, hopefully I can learn some things this summer," Harry responded with a grin.

"Oh? Why do you say that?"

"Well because Hermione is pretty smart so I think she might show me some and I am going to Potter manor this summer."

"Potter Manor? So the rumors are true. He's back. I wish you the best of luck. And one more thing Mr. Potter you might not always be able to rely on your friends for knowledge, so learn everything you can." After she was done delivering that ominous message she turned and walked back into her office.

Harry ran over to Hermione's bed as she woke up. She sat up and looked around confused. Harry swallowed her up into a hug and said,

"I'm glad you're okay Hermione." Hermione responded with a hug and then Madame Pomfrey returned. She shooed Harry out and began to check over Hermione. Harry heard her mutter something about "Potters" and "Madness" as he walked out.

Time Skip - King's Cross

Harry and Hermione walked across Kings Cross together with smiles on their faces. Their luggage had been sent to their places of residence by Gabriel who Hermione had said looked like Peter Mensah, a muggle she had seen. They had already said goodbye to the Weaslys and were walking in the muggle section when Harry saw the Dursleys.

"Goodbye Hermione. Maybe we could get together over the summer?"

"That's brilliant Harry," She proceeded to tell Harry her phone number, "Call that when you can and I should pick up."

"Thanks Hermione. I can't wait. Bye." They hugged and went their separate ways. Harry walked up to the Dursleys and said, "Hello Uncle, Aunt Petunia, Dudley." Vernon grunted and pulled him out the door and towards the car. Vernon shoved Harry in the back of the car and started driving home to Surry.

All the way to Surry, Vernon and Dudley threw insults at him. It soon escalated and Dudley started punching him with various amounts of power and in random places. Dudley punched him in the jaw hard causing his head to whip back and smack the car door. Blood was coming from his mouth indicating he had bitten his lip. He could feel the back of his head throbbing. Everyone else in the car laughed.

At that moment something in Harry came alive and a fire was lit. The car swerved off the road and rolled for a couple of yards. When it came to a stop upside down, Harry's lungs had begun to start filling with smoke so he tried to feel for the door. He found the handle and pulled but the door was stuck. The fire that was lit flared and the door flew off its hinges allowing him to crawl out.

When outside Harry walked around the car and focused on the flame to free his cousin and Uncle who were trying to escape. The doors swung open and they crawled out and started coughing. He walked to the passengers seat and did the same thing for his aunt, but she stayed still. He looked at her and could see blood leaking from her throat where glass had impaled her. He turned around and doubled over.

His Uncle found his way over to Harry and shoved him aside, sending Harry to the ground. Vernon gazed upon Petunia and in a fit of rage marched over to Harry and started punching and kicking him. One time Vernon stomped on his ribs and Harry heard a crack which, unfortunately, was not someone coming to save him. His vision blurred and he gasped for breath. He heard a commotion and took that opportunity to concentrate on the flame and hope that it could help him. He heard his ribs fix themselves and his breathing eased. His vision became clearer and he tried to sit up.

He still felt a sharp pain in his ribs but he stood and saw Vernon in a fit of rage throw Dudley against the car multiple times. Dudley screamed and begged his father to stop but Vernon kept going and eventually Dudley layed on the ground, head lolled to the side, and blood coming from his mouth.

Vernon turned his attention back to Harry and started walking toward him. Harry raised his hand and prayed to the flame to protect him. He felt a severe drain and his ribs were hurting even more. Suddenly a sword appeared in his hand and Vernon walked right into it. It impaled the man through his stomach. Harry stepped backwards and his will failed. The sword disappeared and his ribs came undone once again. On his knees he heard Vernon fall next to him and say,

"You've won today boy but I will always be with you. The first person you murdered in cold blood."

"Uncle, why?" Harry asked on his hands and knees. His vision was fading but before he passed out he heard three things. First, his uncle laughed. Second his Uncle choked on his blood and died. And he heard a loud crack that this time was there to save him. Unfortunately whoever it was arrived too late to save the Dursleys from death and Harry from misery.
