Figgins announced." The prom king is David Karofsky.'
David walked up to the stage and took his crown and scepter.
Then Figgins announced "your prom queen is Santana Lopez."
Some people applauded as Santana walked up to get her crown and scepter. David gave her a reassuring wink and whispered "go for it but just you."
Santana was nervous but sounded confident when she spoke to the audience "David and I agreed that we would not dance this dance together. Instead, I am going to ask the person I really want to dance with to dance with me, the love of my life Britney Speers, Britney as your prom queen I demand you dance with me."
Britney walked toward Santana and said "you do not have to demand I dance with you, only have to ask. I love you too."
Santana and David left the stage. The stage was empty for just a few seconds then Rachel who was behind Lucy took Lucy's arm and said "come join me on stage."
They went on stage where they were joined by Mercedes, they sang dancing Queen by ABBA.
At first Santana and Britney were dancing slow by themselves but then the music sped up and everyone else joined the couple on the dance floor even, Dave who asked another girl to dance.
A little while later Rachel and Lucy had stepped off the dance floor.
Rachel said "so it looks like Santana stole your date."
Lucy replied "yes but I am prepared for this. Britney and I had a deal. We came in separate cars so I don't need to worry about how either one of us is going home. We also agreed that if either of us wanted to leave with somebody else we could."
Rachel asked "in that case can I get a ride home? I came with Finn and he asked if I could get a ride home with someone else because we broke up?"
Lucy answered "sure I will give you a ride home but, can we leave pretty soon because I have a long drive ahead of me".
Rachel responded "yes, we can leave right now if you want. "She said "how about we dance to this song and then we can go."
Rachel replied "sounds good to me."
They headed for the dance floor.
