Loud House Rider Legacy
Chapter 4 Test ride.
We find ourselves in Tokyo, one of Japan's capital cities. In one of its districts, there was an abandoned, condemned building. Inside the building was filled with nothing but ash and rubble. Standing amidst the mess were two men. The first man had long, blonde hair tied in a braid; he wore a black tank top, jeans, and combat boots. The second man had long hair, tied into a ponytail; he was dressed professionally.
"Soma, anata ga sumātoburein no jūgyōin o koroshta koto ga anata no jōshi ni yorokoba renai koto wa wakatte imasu ne.(Soma, you know our boss isn't going to be happy that you killed one of smart brains employees.)" The well-dressed man said in Japanese as he pulled out a lighter and a cigarette from his suit.
"Watashi ga ki ni shite iru yō ni, Shigeru! (Like I care, Shigeru!)" The young man named Soma shouted.
"Watashi ga yatta koto ni wa riyū ga arimashita. sono riyū o anata ga rikai dekiru to to wa kitai shite imasen. (I had my reasons for doing what I did; I don't expect you to understand that reason!)"
"Soma o motta riyū wa kankei arimasen! (It doesn't matter what reasons you had Soma!)" The man named Shigeru shouted at Soma.
"Anata wa izentoshite karera o kōgeki suru koto de ōkina risuku o oimashita. Karera no kōki no me kara kakuri dekita no wa kōundeshita.(You still took a big risk by attacking them; you're lucky it was isolated far away from their prying eyes." Shigeru stated as he lit his cigarette.
"Watashi ga ie ni kaerimasu, anata mo onajiyōni subekidesu, Watashi yūjin. (I'm heading home, you should do the same as well, my friend.)" Shigeru said as he left through the exit of the building. As Soma was about to leave suddenly a portal appeared beneath him, and he fell through.
On the other side Soma fell on the ground on his back hard he grown in pain silently as he got up he noticed that he wasn't back at the condemned building he knows he was in some cavern like place.
"Watashi wa ittai doko ni iru no? (Where the hell am I?)" Soma asked himself as he looked around the cavern.
"A secret place within the state of Michigan young Soma." Soma felt a sudden chill ran up his spine upon hearing that voice glancing where the voice came from the hooded figure emerged from the shadows Soma ready himself for a fight.
"Relax yourself, Orphnoch boy," the hooded figure said calmly. "I'm not here to cause trouble; I just want to talk. That's all, so there's no need for you to transform and attack me, okay?" Soma still felt uneasy around him. The way he spoke really disturbed him, but he complied and relaxed himself. However, he wouldn't ease up on his hostile look towards him.
"But on to more important matters do you happen to be fluent in English?" He asked curiously.
"Yes I can." Soma answered
"Perfect now wondering how I know your name how I came to know about your true form correct?"
"Yeah how do you know my name, and more importantly, how the hell do you know what I am?" Soma asked in a demanding tone. "
"My friend, there isn't anything I don't already now. I've known of your species' existence since the sixties. It's not just your species; I've also known the existence of the Fangres. And not to mention the smart brains being run by Orphnochs." Soma is in shock; the existence of both species should remain secret between them. There has never been a single ounce of shredded evidence or leaked information about them. The only thing going through his mind is who on Earth is this person and how does he know so much?
"Oh wow! Look at the look on your face; I really made you speechless, didn't I?" The hooded figure cackled at Soma's expression.
"All right, enough fooling around; I'll answer your questions. I've been in Tokyo, Japan for four days now. You see, I had a little bit of a scuffle on Tuesday. I completely underestimated my target and his companions, so I decided to portal away here to Tokyo to hire some help to deal with my little pest. While wandering around the city, I caught a glimpse of you renegades fighting smart brains lackeys...or at least I assumed they were." The hooded figure informed as he walked towards Soma.
"Anyways, your group were pretty good and strong, but I noticed that you were a bit different from the rest of your group at first glance you seem like any other Orphnoch but your power and strength seems to be a little behind than your other pals I can tell first hands you are a sired Orphnoch sadly your type are very weak among the resurrecters but it can't be helped, but then you surprised me you showed you have more luck and tenacity then your other pals but sadly you lack certain intelligence to make you a bit more wiser but you are exactly what I need at this moment." The hooded figure stated as he violently grabbed Soma's face. His hand began to glow maliciously, and Soma felt a sense of terror as the hooded figure tightened his grip on Soma's face. Once his hand stopped glowing, he released it from Soma's face. A single purple gemstone now lay on his forehead. He opened his eyes, and they were now glowing purple. He knelt down in front of the hooded figure.
"What are my orders my Lord?" Soma says in I monotonic tone.
"I want you to do a very simple request for me, my dear Soma," said the figure. "There is a pest that goes by the name of Rey Ochoa. He resides in a small town called Royal Woods, located within the state of Michigan. I want you to eliminate him with extreme prejudice." The figure paused and then continued, "Do not fail me, Soma."
"And what does this pest look like, my lord?" Soma asked.
"Stand up, my dear Soma," the hooded figure ordered. As Soma stood up, he is handed a file. Upon opening it, he found detailed papers that the hooded figure had gathered on Rey.
"This is the past I want you to deal with. In that file, it contains his current place of residence along with a detailed description of certain people that live in there including his cohorts he has with them. I encourage you to use anyone you see fit in that house to lure him out, even if he isn't close to that family. He will go to extreme lengths to ensure their safety." The hooded figure informs as Soma reads and skims through the file thoroughly, closing it.
"It shall be done, my master," replied Soma, "but with all due respect, I do not like the idea of endangering anyone who lives in this house. According to this file, this house is home to a mother and father with ten daughters and a single son. I will not put any of them in danger just to eliminate a pest. However, I will do what I must. Let it be clear, though; the people who live in that house will not be harmed. Do I make myself clear, Master?" Soma said in his monotonous voice, but despite being a bit robotic, there was a hint of an ominous tone in his words that caught the hooded figure off guard.
'Wow, this guy still managed to retain some of his standards and free will, even after I brainwashed him; he's strong,' the hooded figure commented, both impressed and disappointed by Soma's current state.
"Very well, Soma," the hooded figure said, "Do what you see fit." He snapped his fingers, and a portal appeared.
"This portal will take you directly to Royal Woods," the hooded figure informed, "but unfortunately, it won't take you directly to the loud house; you'll have to find your way there on your own."
"Good to know," Soma said as he stepped through the portal. But he felt the hand of the hooded figure.
"Before you go, don't reveal too much, okay? I don't want this kid to find out that I'm spying on him, along with the family he's staying with; he'll cause a lot of headaches, and I don't want to deal with any extra complications. So, be a good sport and just keep your mouth shut about the whole spy thing. If he does ask, just let him know that there is a mastermind, but keep it discreet. Got it?" Soma simple nod
"Perfect now run along my pest is going to kill itself." The hooded figure said jokingly Soma stepped into the portal.
"Are you sure it's wise to let him go freely?" A voice of a woman could be heard echoing throughout the entire cavern. Suddenly, the voice that echoed through the cavern then she made herself known as she suddenly appeared in front of the hooded figure. The woman was an Orphnoch; her form was reptilian, and her features resembled those of a chameleon.
"I wouldn't worry about him too much, my sneaky reptilian friend. I admit his sudden defiance was something to behold; not many individuals that I personally place under my control have ever shown this behavior before. Although, I think the barrier that surrounds this planet might have something to do with that. Oh well, I'll worry about it later if this ever happens again." The Hood figure stated, shrugging his shoulders comically.
"Anyways since you're here do me a favor and keep an eye on Soma make sure he does his job and you know what to do if it's Crystal breaks."
"As you command, Mister N.V." The chameleon Orphanoch said respectfully as she entered the portal, then disappeared. The hooded figure now named N.V opened his own portal and entered it. On the other side, we see him proceed towards his throne and sit down on it. He then takes out a phone from within his cloak and turns it on before scrolling through some apps.
"It's truly a shame that my little fly friend got killed on Thursday all because of that's sporty brunette idiot!" He angrily exclaimed.
(Flashback.)
On Thursday night, we saw Rey walking out of the bathroom with his phone in hand, and right next to him, the little spyfly. As he walked by the rooms of each of the loud sisters, one particular door was open that belonged to Lucy and Lynn. Rey could hear some banging noise inside that room, but suddenly a baseball flew out of it. Rey immediately caught it, but the fly was crushed behind the ball in his hand as he caught it. On cue, Lynn emerged from a room looking at him with a nervous look.
"Sorry, Rey," she said with and apologetic smile. "Nice reflexes!" She commented as Rey wiped the ball on his chest and then tossed it back to her.
"Just be more careful next time LJ."
We return back to the present where N.V sits on his throne as he releases a heavy, sad, but disappointed sigh and comically shrugs his shoulders again.
Oh well, it was bound to happen; flies don't have a very long lifespan, anyway. I will miss Mr. Flyington, his time on this world was short but he did his job well. I will have fond memories of that little fly." N.V said as he reminisced the time he had with his little companion.
"Fortunately, I have created several miniature spy drone just in case Mr. Flyington meets his demise, either by nature or at the hands of some overzealous superstitious idiot Sportsnut!" N.V exclaimed aggressively as he landed on the app he was looking for. He then tapped the screen and the image on the phone showed Ray in the bathroom, with him talking on his phone through a video call to someone. The person on the video feed is Claire.
"Ah, so this is what the mysterious Claire looks like? Oh well, I was expecting someone to be more Divine looking and not so casual and normal, oh well it really doesn't matter time to resume my favorite pastime." N.V commented comedically as he observed his adversary.
On the other side of his lair, we see a small fly with a camera lens on its head. The little fly spy drone is on the ceiling of the bathroom in the Loud house, watching Rey talk to Claire.
"Oh, Rey! I'm so happy you decided to answer my video call. As much as I like talking over the phone, I think this will be a great change of pace for us to interact a little bit more. I find it's easier to connect with someone face-to-face rather than through texting or phone calls. This way, you can see my facial expressions when you tell me about what's happening in your life, and I can see yours too. So, how's your morning going? Has anything weird happened today?" Claire asked in a innocently tone that resembles that of a curious mother Rey immediately recognize that tone and just looked at her with annoyance.
"It's been pretty normal; is there anything else you wanted to ask me or talk to me about?" He asked her with a glint of annoyance in his eyes.
"No need to look so serious, sweetie. That's not the only reason I called you. I also wanted to ask how the psychic link I established between you and your Pokémon through your Poke Balls is holding up? Have you experienced any issues, or is everything working perfectly?" Claire asked curiously after the incident at the school on Wednesday when everyone went to sleep He had a talk with her and his Pokémon in the family's van. Only a handful of his teammates could fit in the van. The only one who had any trouble getting into the vehicle was Edgar and Ryusei. Two of his Pokémon really felt guilty that they couldn't be a part of this meeting with Claire. When she heard that, she offered an idea. That idea was creating a psychic link that allowed them to communicate with their trainer through their Poke Balls for both visually and mentally. She said it would be up to him. After the discussion in the van among the four that were present, they all thought it was a good idea. So, he called it back into their Poke Balls with a snap of her fingers the the psychic link was established while they couldn't interact with Claire they can still pass on their thoughts through Rey and Rey could direct him back at her.
'Hey boss! Tell the Cosmic Lady that the psychic link is working fine!'The voice of the laid-back Onibi said happily in his head.
'Oh geez, it's bad enough to hear his voice on a daily basis, but now I'm hearing it in my head and the boss's head. It's a nightmare!' Kestrel chimed in, irritated.
'Wow, that was a very hurtful thing you said, sis.' Onibi said sadly.
'Kestrel apologize to Onibi what you said was unnecessary hurtful comment about his voice personally I really love hearing his voice his positivity is always a delight to hear.' Kaori said both in a tenderly but strict tone.
'You heard what our big sis said Kestrel say you're sorry!' Edgar said in a very strict tone as well.
"The psychic link you established that night worked... a little too well, if you ask me. Right now, I can practically hear my team arguing because Kestrel said something hurtful about Onibi's voice. Things are calming down now." Rey said in a deadpan tone.
"That's wonderful to hear that my little gift is working perfectly!" Claire said happily, but her smile soon turned into a more serious and worried expression and Rey immediately noticed and know what she was going to ask next.
"Has anyone spill the beans about what happened on Wednesday did Leni or any of her sisters said anything regarding that incident?" Claire asks can certainly while he looked at her very calmly.
"Surprisingly, no. I managed to convince the girls not to tell their parents or there other siblings what happened on Wednesday. I didn't want them to initiate a panic; everyone in this house already have enough problems and issues to deal with, especially me."
'Not to mention one of their parents is a major scaredy-cat and a wuss,' Kestrel said.
"Will you you stop complaining already Kestrel we get it you established that you don't like wimps or cowards so lay off him would you it's not worth it!" Rey raise his voice slightly as he pinched the bridge between his eyes.
"Is everything okay Rey?" Claire ask concerningly.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Just Kestrel complaining about Lynn senior. Nothing to worry about. So, is there anything else you want to talk about?" Rey asked, trying to change the subject and get off this topic as quickly as possible.
"Has there been any other incidents in Royal Woods recently? Like have you or anyone else been threatened with death, or has anything strange happened in your area? I haven't heard from you since Wednesday; I assumed things were relatively calm and quiet for a few days. I called you today to check up on you because I was worried and I just want to be sure."
'God she really reminds me of my own mother.' Ray says as he let's out a heavy sigh within his thoughts.
"Well, to answer your question, things have been peaceful for the last couple of days. After you gave me my new cards, I went to the high school discreetly and used those cards to fix all the damages to the school. Thankfully, the damage wasn't too severe. Then the school day came around. Granted, some students were still talking about that incident; I don't blame them, it was quite an eventful day. Friday came around, and the morning was pretty hectic because I had to break up a fight between the twins over some petty nonsense. Then, me and the four older sisters went to school. Nothing strange happened; it was just your ordinary day at school. That was pretty much it, and here we are now, Saturday. It's a pretty slow day at breakfast. I was doing my own thing when you called, and now here we are." Rey explained as he detailed the events that transpired.
"That's wonderful, I'm glad nothing else has happened in those two days for you and everyone else," Claire said happily at the news she received, but her happy face suddenly changed to a more serious expression.
"But still, careful out there Rey. I feel that danger is it's coming close to you and everyone around you. Please be careful and be on your guard and protect this family that took you in." Claire said in a serious but pleading and cautious tone but that caution in serious look went away as she gave him a supportive and motherly smile.
"No pressure though which reminds me I have a present for for you!" Claire snapped her fingers and instant a lock with a rose appeared in his hand Rey recognizes this lock.
"A locked seed? Any particular reason why you're giving me this?" Rey asked curiously.
"You'll never know when your current bike might get destroyed during one of your missions," Claire said in peppy cheery voice. "It's always better to have a spare. That's all I have to say. Take care, bye!" She signed off with her usual cheerful tone, leaving Rey to let out an unusual, irritated, tired sigh as he put away his phone along with the new lock he had acquired.
'Why do I get a sudden feeling that she might be overstepping her boundaries in the way she speaks with you sir.' Ryūsei commenting.
"What gave it away? The way she talked to me reminded me too much of my mother, and I really did not want to be reminded of her or any other members of my family at the moment." Rey said, feeling a mix of sadness, guilt, and frustration as he left the bathroom.
'Rey, dear. I hope I'm not overstepping when I ask this question. The way Claire talks to you...does it bother you in any way? And the way she talks...does it set off any memories you have of your mother? Either good or bad?' Kaori asked concernedly. while she couldn't see Rey's facial expression, but hearing the tone of his voice contained guilt, sadness, and a hint of regret. She was more than certain that her trainer was feeling something, and she wanted to help him through whatever he was going through. This sentiment was shared by her fellow Pokémon as well.
"Well, I'm not going to lie; the way she talks to me really does bother me, but at the same time, I'm not too upset with her. I know she's not doing it on purpose, but her tone happens to remind me of my mother, and just hearing Claire talk makes me miss my mother, along with the rest of my family and friends." Rey answered as his voice softened with sadness, but then he suddenly raised both of his hands and slapped his cheeks three times, shook his head a couple of times, and ended with a serious expression.
"While I miss them, I made my choice to find y'all and come here to save this world. I can't afford to let my own personal feelings get in the way of my mission. Once the mission is done, I will see them again," Ray said determinedly as he came down the stairs. He noticed Lincoln sitting on the couch with a blank expression while eating some cereal.
"Hey Lincoln what's up?" Lincoln looked back and sees Rey standing behind the couch.
"Oh, Rey," Lincoln said. "Nothing much, just eating some cereal and watching TV."
"I see mind if sit with you for a little bit?"
"Sure go ahead." Lincoln says as Rey leaps over the couch and sat next to him.
"Much appreciated Lincoln." Rey says as he focused his attention back on the television screen where a commercial played featuring two children with a bored expression eating some cereal.
=Board of the same old breakfast?=
The announcer in the commercial asked Lincoln to look at his cereal with a bored expression.
"Yes." Lincoln answered.
=Then try ZOMBIE BRAND! the cereal that turn you into the walking fed!=
'Yep still cringy as I remember it this is going to be a long day.' Rey commented as he continue to watch the commercial he founded the zombie bit to be overplayed and cringy for his liking.
"Must...have...Zombie Brand!" He stated, making it obvious that he wanted to try the cereal.
"Mom! Mom! Mom!" Lincoln shouted as he ran toward his mother, not realizing that he had dropped his bowl of cereal. Fortunately, Rey caught it at the last moment, preventing it from spilling onto the couch.
"That was close," Ray said with relief.
'Do you think that cereal is any good? Just looking at it made me feeling hungry.'
'Yet again, you really can't go a moment without thinking about food can you Onibi.' Meni said in an annoyed tone.
''Like I said before,' Onibi began, 'I can't help it when I see anything that resembles food; it just happens.'
'Now now, there's no need to argue; we already have enough of that for today. Just let him be; he can't help it. He's a major big glutton.' Kaori sternly said.
Rey simply rolled his eyes as their banter continued, questioning whether or not the powers Claire had granted them were actually a good idea. He then focused his attention on the cereal and milk in front of him, deciding that he would either pour it down the drain or eat it. As a general rule, he didn't want to let anything go to waste, so without hesitation, he straight up drank the cereal and milk from the bowl.
'Oh come on, boss! I wanted to eat that!' Onibi whined.
Rey ignored his gluttonous Pokemon's whining as he got up from the couch. He was about to head to the kitchen he saw Lincoln walking past him, acting like a brainless zombie. He simply rolled his eyes and chuckled.
"He really want that cereal can't blame them I was like that once when I was his age." Ray comment while reminiscing about his own youth.
Moments later we see Rey emerging from the bathroom again, this time with a lavender baby carrier strapped to his chest as he adjusted it. He saw Lori heading down the stairs next, all the sisters came down the stairs at the same time Rey simply just facepalms himself knowing exactly what's going to happen next.
'Oh boy, it's time for the disastrous main event of this episode,' Rey said in an exasperated yet exhausted tone of voice.
"Kaori Mine when I head downstairs I'm going to ask Lincoln for the grocery list. I want the two of y'all to memorize everything on that list I have feeling today's event for Lincoln is going to end badly I can literally see it with all tagging along with him." Rey stated as he glared seriously, knowing full well what episode he is in due to having seen it while this event isn't his favorite; however, his plan is letting this whole event play out as it is once that's done he's planning on rectifying everything that went on during this episode.
'You got it.' The two female Pokemon said unison as Rey resumed his walk before he headed downstairs. He managed to catch a glance of the girls cheering victoriously in convincing Lincoln to take them along on his grocery shopping mission. Suddenly, Lily rolled in with a toy grocery cart, the girls, Rey, and his Pokémon gasped at the adorable sight, Lincoln picked up Lily and gave her a apologetic look.
"Sorry Lily, you're staying home with Dad," Lincoln said. Not happy with what Lincoln said, Lily retaliated by hitting him with a bag. But Rey stepped in and picked her up before she had a chance to hit him.
"Now Lily, don't be rude to your big brother," Rey said with a gentle yet slightly stern tone. He even looked at the girls and then looked back at them politely.
"Hey girls."
"Hey Rey." The girls all greeted Rey in unison.
"I guess you want to come too Rey?" Lincoln asked.
"Negative, Lincoln," Rey said. "I have plans today and my first priority is taking Lily to the park for some fresh air. I asked both your parents if it was all right, to take Lily to the park they give me permission to do so." He informed Lincoln as he placed Lily in the baby carrier.
"Now then has anyone seen my backpack?"
"It's right behind the couch dude." Luna pointed where his backpack is.
"Much appreciated Luna thank you." Rey thank Luna he went behind the couch picked up his backpack and put it on.
"Before I go Lincoln can I look at the list for a little bit?" Rey ask politely Lincoln gave it to him with no little issue upon looking at the list he is a little bit overwhelmed on how long it is but he reads it thoroughly have you scroll down to each row once he finished he handed it back to Lincoln with little effort.
"That's a long list," Rey commented right on time as we saw the mother of the house, Rita, come in with her purse slung over her right shoulder.
"Ah, Mrs. Loud. Perfect timing; now that you're here, I can take my leave and head to the park." Rey said as he opened the front door.
"I'll let y'all know when we get home okay see y'all later."
"By Rey bye Lily!" All the Loud siblings hollered in unison as Rey open the front door.
"Please make sure she stays safe, Ray!" Rita hollered as Rey headed out the door; he replied with a thumbs up and closed the door behind him. He now proceeded to head to the park on foot.
'Kaori Mine were y'all able to memorize the list?' He asked his Pokemon within his thoughts.
'Yes, we did!' They both said proudly.
'Excellent.' he said then he focused his attention on Lily who was strapped in the baby carrier on him.
"All right, Lily. I know you're a little upset that you couldn't go shopping with your brother and sisters, but don't worry; I have the next best thing with me in my pocket," Rey said as he pulled out a bottle with pictures of bubbles on it. He opened the lid, not the one that was attached to it, and blew gently. Then, a large amount of bubbles came out, like a storm. She tried to reach for them, but they popped before she could touch them she let out a huge giggle.
"Ah! There's a smile I like to see on a baby. Oh you are so cute when you smile Lily!" Rey gushes at Lily smile while unbeknownst to Ray again we see another little spy fly drone on the tree next to the house.
Elsewhere we return to N.V who is still sitting on his throne observing through the lens of the fly spy drone that is located on the tree outside the house on the screen of his phone we see Rey now leaving to his destination with Lily.
"Looks like he's heading for Ketchum Park; better let Soma know right now. I just hope the portal didn't take him too far away from town or any other faraway locations. The portals I create will take you to locations I know and have been to, but sadly, they won't take you to the location you want to go to. I'm just thankful that it led you somewhere, which reminds me, I'm really glad I took the extra step to extract details and information from his memories, including his phone number." N.V said as he dialed the number of Soma on his phone. He waited for a couple of seconds, then Soma picked up.
'Hello?'
"Hello there Soma where are you?" He asked seriously.
'On my way to my destination I'm walking past a Park.'
"And what is the name of that Park?"
'According to the sign it's called Ketchum Park.'
"This is perfect, Soma. Our little friend is currently on his way to that very park that you are in. I want you to wait for him there; when he's most vulnerable and has lowered his guard, take that moment and eliminate him." N.V. said this while clenching his left fist.
'It will be done; I'll contact you personally to let you know when the job is complete.'
Soma stated as he ended the call N.V went back on his phone and dialed some numbers on it and tapped the call icon a couple seconds and you got a response.
"Hey chameleon girl mind telling me where you are right now?" N.V said in a comedic but curious tone to the chameleon Orphnoch.
'I'm at a gas station called Flips Food Fuel. I'm just here to refuel my bike and grab a snack, but the guy who runs this place is trying to con me with expired snacks, so I'm in the process of eliminating him right NOW!!'
On the other end of the line, N.V could hear her voice being slightly distorted, indicating that she was on the verge of transformation. He also heard the crying and silent whimpering of an older men, which he believed were the store owner, Flip.
"I see you have met Flip." He chuckled humorously at the man's current predicament; he had never interacted with the man before, but he knows enough about his escapades and he took certain delight in the chaos and annoyance he caused to others, but he found it to be a little bit funny when people like him in a rare instances are at the receiving ends from the wrong person.
"Don't waste energy on him; he isn't worth it," said N.V. "Our little drone has found our pest. He's heading to a place called Ketchum Park. Now, I want you to keep an eye on both of them and see how the mission plays out. If anything happens, let me know." N.V waited for a response from the chameleon Orphnoch.
'I'll be there just send me the location of the park.'
Right before the call could end, he could hear the voice of Flip screaming, and then could hear stuff crashing down around him; easily deducing that he was thrown somewhere in his store. However, he paid no mind to this, as the call ended. He did what he was asked, sending her the address of the park, and began to giggle menacingly.
"Things are really becoming more fun," N.V exclaimed ecstatically as he looked at the screen. "I really wish I could see the look on Rey's face when he deals with my little pawn's little power up." He continued, releasing a heavy sigh as he stood up from his throne.
"Unfortunately, I have other plans that I must attend to, and I have a strange feeling that Rey will find a way to come out of this, and possibly save or destroy my pawn in the process. But it can't be helped; sometimes the universe favors the good guys or favors someone who has a good heart. Oh well, I should probably head out and start stirring up some pots with the Fangres." He says nonchalantly before calling forth a portal and entering it.
Meanwhile, at Ketchum Park, we see Rey pushing Lily on a baby swing.
'You know there is something very strange and relaxing about watching a baby on a swing, even though I'm not the one pushing the baby on the swing; but something about seeing a baby just giggle at something so simple just feels so nice and relaxing. I kind of like it,' Kestrel said in a calm and relaxed tone.
'I can agree with you, Kestrel. This does feel relaxing, and seeing Lily happy and giggling on the swing feels nice I wish I was the one that's pushing her she's so cute.' Kaori commented while gushing at the site.
'Kestrel isn't the only one who feels relaxed and calm; you can feel that same energy radiating from our Master. I haven't seen him this calm and relaxed in a long while.' Meni said happily as she felt her Rey's energy.
Far away, we see Soma staring at his target before he can act; however, he notices Ray pushing Lily in the baby swing, and although he shows no signs of emotion, his body language reveals that he is hesitant to proceed with his attack.
"God! If I knew he had an infant, I wouldn't have attacked him in the first place," Soma said as he closed his eyes to think of a logical solution to their current dilemma. After a brief moment of thinking, he came to a decision and that decision was to eliminate Rey.
He left his hiding spot he conjured up a dagger that resembled the claws of a praying mantis and he slowly crept up behind Ray 'I'm sorry. I promise you I shall return the infant back to our family safely.' he said reluctantly as he made a promise to himself to make sure Lily isn't caught in the crossfire now proceeds to deliver the fatal blow to Ray but suddenly.
'Rey! Behind you!' Meni shouted his name as he acted quickly. Rey threw a right hook at Soma, followed by a round kick, then an uppercut to the chin that sent him flying from a far distance and landing hard on the ground unconscious.
"Who on Earth is that guy?" Rey asked as he stopped Lily from moving; one of the zippers on his backpack opened, and out of it came the gorilla Candroid. Its showed its eyes glowed blue.
'An Orphnoch!' He exclaimed within his thoughts; he quickly grabbed Lily and put her back in the baby carrier.
"Sorry to cut our visit to the park short, Lily," he said as he ran with her and headed out of the park as far away from Soma as possible.
As Rey left, Soma began to regain consciousness and stood up, dusting himself off. He spotted Rey heading for town, so he followed him at a slow pace from a distance.
Rey and Lily had managed to make it into town safely without any issues. Rey looked over his shoulder and around him, checking to see if he was being followed. Seeing nothing yet, he walked ahead, looking for any place to hide. He looked both ways, searching for any place or anywhere to take refuge. Finally, he spotted an open space between two buildings and headed there to catch his breath and Pat's Lily on the head.
'Meni give me a heads up can you sense that guy anywhere nearby?'
'Unfortunately, he's already in town, but not anywhere near your area. He seems to be taking his time finding you, which seems like a very logical choice given the number of people who are walking by right now. You really don't want to draw out much attention when you're looking someone discreetly.' Meni stated.
"Not much," he said, "but it's a good start. I can at least use what he's doing to my advantage." He smiled positively then shifted his gaze to Lily who looked at him with confusion and curiosity. Looking at her made him feel a bit sad and upset; he patted her head once more, this time affectionately.
"I wish today was another peaceful day, but it can't be helped; I'm so sorry you got caught up in this, Lily." Rey said while giving her a sad smile, which quickly left his face as he adopted a more serious and determined look.
"All right I get to feeling this guys is the persistent type and won't leave me alone anytime soon." Rey stated with a sense of annoyance then Ret shifted his attention to Lily looking at her with great concern his instincts are telling him that Lily needs to be heavily guarded Rey then shifted his gaze to his pokéballs on his belt.
"Alright y'all listen up I'm about to head out there and take down this Orphnoch and I want someone to stay behind in this alley and look after Lily do I have any volunteers?"
"I volunteered first," Kaori said eagerly. "It's been a while since any of us have interacted with kids, especially babies, and I love how cute they look; plus, I want to have a turn holding little Lily!" Kaori stated in a puffy and pouty tone.
'I like to volunteer too, sir,' said Ryūsei. 'Kaori could use an extra hand to help her protect the little one.'
'No offense sharkboy I don't think it's a good deal for you to stand guard.' Kestrel chimed in as well.
'Oh do tell me why you do think it's a bad idea?' Ryūsei asked feeling somewhat offended by her opinion.
'Reason number one, you're big and intimidating. Remember Wednesday, you unintentionally scared the older sisters. Reason number two, Lily is a baby; your presence and appearance could potentially set her into a crying fit. Do you see where I'm going with this? Your appearance alone will be enough to set her off into tears. This will cause our enemy to find the boss. You don't want that on your conscience, knowing that you're responsible for them finding him, right?' Kestrel stated her reasons. Ryūsei wanted to argue, but she brought up Wednesday and the Loud sisters caused him to think. After thinking for a moment, he released a very disappointed and sad sigh.
'You brought up a good point, sister. While my presence and appearance are widely accepted and appreciated within the Pokémon world, in this world I face the reality that my appearance could cause more of a problem than a blessing.' Ryūsei felt dejected.
"Don't feel ashamed of your appearance or stature Ryūsei. She was just stating a possibility of what could happen; take it as her opinion." Rey's eyes widen in shock at what he just said, and his face pales in annoyance.
'Criminy! I just sounded like my younger brother!' Rey exclaimed in his thoughts. The thought of something like his younger brother sent shivers down his spine, but he quickly shook off that feeling and return back to what's at stake.
'Hey boss are you okay we heard something that relates to your younger brother want to talk about it?'
"Not right now Onibi we have more important things to deal with." Ray stated as he took out Kaori's and Edgar's pokeball then threw them in the air.
"Kaori Edgar, you're up!" Their pokeballs opened and released them. Rey caught their pokeballs and put them back on his belt. Lily looked at them with confusion and curiosity.
"Alright, you two know what to do. Look after Lily while I'm gone; make sure she stays safe and out of trouble. I don't want her to see the violence that might occur. Got it?"
"Roger that, Rey!" His Pokémon saluted; Rey nodded his head in acknowledgment then he direct his attention to Lily.
"These two are some special friends of mine," he said, pointing to Kaori and Edgar. He then picked Lily up from the baby carrier and held her tenderly in his arms.
"Lily, there is a very dangerous man out there who is looking for me, and I do not want you to get hurt because of me," Rey explained calmly as he handed Lily to Kaori. "My friends will take care of you until then, and don't worry; they're harmless - they love kids like me." He said calmly as he removed the baby carrier from around him and handed it to Edgar. Next, he opened his backpack and pulled out the Deacdiver. Then put it on himself before handing his backpack to Edgar.
"Alright let's get this headache over with!" he said annoyingly as he pulled out his card from his ridebooker.
"Henshin!" he explained how he inserted the card into his driver.
KAMEN RIDE: DECADE
Fifteen rider symbols appeared and turned into armored silhouettes. They merged onto him to don his armor. Nine red plates emerged from the Driver, and they went to his helmet; Rey had transformed into a Decade. He looked back at his Pokémon and Lily and gave them a simple salute.
"I'll be back soon guys, don't give them a hard time, Lily," Decade says as he leaps over the alley and lands on a building before starting to run towards his target
"Well, there he goes. So, are we just going to stay here and guard and stare at Lily like this, or should we do something active or creative to entertain her?" Edgar asked, looking at Lily curiously. Kaori thought for a moment and then looked at Lily before looking back at Edgar.
"Did Rey pack some crayons and paper in his backpack?" Kaori asked as she watched Edgar rummaged through it, pulling out a large notebook and a box of crayons.
"Did he also pack a towel?" Edgar set aside the items he pulled out of his rummaging through his trainers again and lo and behold, there was a towel in the backpack.
"Perfect! Come on, Lily, let's draw some pictures together!" Kaori exclaimed excitedly.
Meanwhile, we see Soma is still looking for Rey. He stops by a crossing walk, waiting for the cars to stop at the traffic light so he can cross the road. While he's waiting, he's suddenly grabbed by a familiar magenta blur - which turned out to be none other than Decade.
Decade took Soma all the way outside of town so that no one would get caught in the crossfire when he fought him. Once they were both out of town, Decade stopped moving and threw him to a random tree.
CLOCK OVER
Soma suddenly felt stunned as many thoughts ran through his mind. First, he wondered what had happened; second, he pondered over how he ended up in this situation and thirdly, he tried to understand why he was feeling so hurt. Slowly, he rose his head and looked at Decade. Everything clicked.
"Well at least you saved me the trouble in finding you Rey." Soma said acatching decade it off guard when he said his real name
"Where is the infant? I don't see her anywhere on you." Soma said as he got up and did some stretches.
"Don't change the subject, Orphnoch. I demand some answers first and foremost. How do you know my identity? Were you sent to spy on me? Do you work for Smart Brain or someone?" Decade demanded in a tone that was becoming increasingly hostile and aggressive.
"Don't be so rude; there is no need for hostility. Also, please don't associate me with any of those insane bastards. People who work with them. They're crazy, insane, and genocidal. I assure you, Rey, that I have no association with them, and I certainly do not wish to." Despite his monotone voice, there were enough indications in his tone and facial expressions to convey a sense of disgust and Decade felt a sense of honesty in his voice about the mention of smart brain.
"Who I work for, I can't go over any details, but my employer told me that he has an issue that needs to be dealt with and he hired me to deal with it in that issue he mentioned happens to be you." Soma coldly said. Decade let out a simple low growl.
'Master, be careful with him. There's something off with him; I sense there is some kind of energy surrounding him. It feels horrible!' Mine said very concernedly and worried.
'What kind of energy and how bad is it?!' Rey asked.
'Parasitic and it also feels like it's controlling him!'
'Do you know where the source of that parasitic energy is coming from?'
'It's coming from his forehead.' Mine informed upon looking at him Decade notice a strange glowing crystal on his forehead he can also feel something bad emanating from it.
"Interesting," he said quietly under his breath. "I'll try to finish this fight quickly so I can get back to Lily the house, and possibly help Lincoln on his cereal mission." He said as he pulled out his ride booker and transformed into its sword mode, pointing it at the enemy.
"Before we get started several questions I want to ask you question number one what is your name!?"
"My name is Soma."
"Question number two, how many people have you tried to sire, and question number three, how many have you killed?" Decade asked aggressively as he tightened his grip on his weapon, preparing to attack aggressively if the enemy were to boast of their success.
"I have never done such a thing," Soma said, "although I have killed other Orphnochs in self-defense. I even killed some who were trying to attack people and fangres." This caught Decade off guard, as did some of his Pokemon; despite how Soma is talking Decade can tell that his words were genuine and honest behind that monotonic voice he had a good feeling that he was standing in the presence of a renegade Orphnoch.
'Mine are you certain that the energy that's surrounding him is controlling him?'
'I'm now certain that Mr. Soma is being controlled; I felt something fighting that energy earlier when he was speaking.'
"Good," he said under his breath as he prepared to attack. 'I will save him from whatever is controlling him.' Decade charges forward to attack Soma moved swiftly, dodging the attack he took a defensive stand and transformed in his Orphnoch form his form is that of a praying mantis you don't need any makeup before he could do anything the gem on his forehead begins to Glow so my let out a strong roar.
Soma summons a pair of dual daggers and begins to attack wildly. Decade blocks and parries his every swing. He throws one dagger at Decade, who barely manages to block it. Soma then throws another dagger, which hits Decade in the shoulder. Decade starts to stagger a little bit as Soma continues to attack relentlessly. Decade quickly kicks Soma, causing him to stumble a little bit, but he recovers and charges forward. Decade sees this and decides to switch tactics. He stabs his sword into the ground, and proceeds to fight him hand-to-hand.
The fight quickly turned into an all-out slugfest, with neither side landing any significant blows until Soma decked Decade in the face, then hit him with a series of punches to the gut, followed by another to the head. Decade quickly got up and shrugged off the pain; he dashed forward, throwing a punch right at Soma's face. Following up with a right hook to the side, he then followed it up with a left hook to the face. He then followed it up with a knee to the gut, then an uppercut to the chin, causing him to fall on his back, stunned.
"He stunned, now's my chance," Decade said as he threw one last punch at him, hitting him right in the forehead. Once his punch made contact with the Jewel on his forehead, it shattered into dust and he reverted back to his human form.
Decade collapsed to his knees beside Soma, letting out a sigh of relief; however, he suddenly felt a jolt of pain surround his body. He let out a small grunt tried to hold back the pain in his body.
'Master are you okay do you need assistance of any kind!?' Mine asked concernely.
"Don't worry Mine, I'll be fine... I'm not going to lie; I will be feeling this in the morning. Dang, he attacked me very viciously." Decade growled softly as the pain slowly dissipated from his body.
As Decade stood up, he heard a soft grunt. It came from Soma. Decade, readying himself for another fight, just in case. Despite his body was still a little bit in pain, but he shrugged it off and ignored it. Soma finally stood up, but stumbled a little bit. He felt groggy and dizzy. He lifted his head and opened his eyes slowly; his eyes no longer showed a purple color. Instead, a normal dark brown color returned. He shook his head, looking around, before focusing his attention on Decade, causing him to slightly tense up as he made eye contact with him, waiting for what would happen next.
"Nē, kosupureiyā-san, watashi ga doko ni iruka shitte imasuka?(Hey Mr. Cosplayer, do you know where I am?)" Soma asked confusingly in Japanese which caught Decade and his Pokemon off guard.
'Okay, I didn't see that coming; now I'm confused about what to do next... guess I better keep the conversation going, but I should still be on my guard just in case. But first.'
"Sumimasen ga, eigo o hanasemasu ka?(Excuse me do you speak English?)" Decade asked in Japanese.
"Yeah, I can speak English, Mr. Cosplayer. Now, I'll ask again, do you know where I am?" Soma replied, this time in a slightly more irritated and demanding tone.
"This is going to sound strange to you, my good friend, but before I answer any of your questions, I need you to answer a couple of mine, if you don't mind my Orphnoch friend." Soma froze as Decade called him that.
"How do you know what I am?!" He asked demandingly.
"Answer my questions and I'll tell you," Decade replied in a humorous tone. Decade wasn't fond of his response; a lot of questions were going through his head, and he was starting to suspect that this cosplayer might not be who he appears to be. He now began to wonder what to do; he could attack him and force answers out of him, but he could tell by just by looking at him that he's been through some kind of stuff - the way he's holding himself up and all. The fact that he's standing and making somewhat of attempt of a joke made Soma have second thoughts about attacking him; one of his codes states that he will not attack anyone that's already physically exhausted or hurt, so he decided just to humor him for the moment.
"All right, Mr. Cosplayer; I'll humor you, but no funny business, got it?" He said while glaring at Decade.
"You have my word on that," Decade said, "now here is my big question for you. Do you have any connections or relationships to anyone at Smart Brain?" The question caught Soma off guard, causing his expression to shift from calmness to one of anger and resentment.
"Don't associate me with those sick bastards! They're a bunch of genocidal freaks who want to eradicate all humanity just because they think they're superior. I will never work for those guys; do you have any idea how many lives they have ruined? How many people they have hurt, killed, and experimented on? They even hunt and kill their own kind that don't align with their ideals. All because they think they're superior, and they want to live their lives as if they're above everyone else. Mark my words, I will destroy that evil company, and I'll make them answer for all the crimes they've committed. Mark my words!" Soma said, enraged, and his voice shook with anger. This caught Decade by surprise, as he had not expected such passionate emotion from him. In many ways, the things Soma told him were true, and seeing him express his anger and hatred towards the organization only confirmed what he had heard we're true.
"All right, all right, take it easy Soma. I'm sorry if I opened up some strong feelings for you. I just wanted to know what you said to me was not false. I'm glad when you told me before our fight that it was true." Decade said, still a little bit shaken from what Soma had said. He started to feel bad for what he asked.
"How do you know my name!?" Soma in shock.
"I'll be blunt; you practically told me your name when we were fighting." Decade explained as he walked back to the spot where he had stabbed his sword and pulled it out of the ground. He then opened the weapon and pulled out a card from it.
"I did," Soma said in confusion as he didn't remember doing anything to this man.
"And judging by the tone of your voice tells me that you don't recall anything that has transpired, answers one of my questions." Decades says calmly as he looks back at a confused Soma.
"And also, I apologize for replying so late. You are in the state of Michigan, and there's a small town called Royal Woods just behind you." Decade pointed to the direction of the town.
"But let's continue our talk on our way to town; I don't feel comfortable talking out in the open, and there is someone I need to check on," Decade said as he opened his driver.
Meanwhile, elsewhere we return back to Kaori Edgar and Lily. We see Lily sitting on Kaori's lap next to her; Edgar is also sitting on Kaori's other side. The three of them are reading a book together; the book they are reading is a classic called "The Three Little Pigs."
"And that was the story of The Three Little Pigs. Not much to it, but it's one of the fun little stories to read in your spare time. I do hope Rey can come back soon." Kaori said as she stroked Lily's hair and poked her tummy, causing her to giggle.
"You and me both, sister," Edgar said. "I hope he comes back soon; we're running out of activities for her to do, and I'm scared at any moment that Lily is going to throw a fussy fit." Edgar said concernedly as Kaori grabbed Rey's backpack, opened it, and put the book away. Suddenly, a large burst of air blew in their direction. The two of them, along with Lily, looked to see where the source had come from. To their surprise, it was a familiar face they recognized it was none other than their trainer but with a different armor the armor resembled the one he used during the school's incident. However, unlike the white-and-gray armor he wore then, this armor was entirely yellow, with different cat designs on it.
His helmet resembles a lion's golden mane with blue eyes lenses and a yellow crystal gem on the forehead; he has a black mouthpiece with a silver rim. His chest bears the image of a tiger. His gauntlets have claws attached to them, while his legs are like those of a cheetah. This is one of his Rider forms OOO's speedy combo Latorartar. Kaori and Edgar got up from their spots and went to greet their trainer with Lily who was still in Kaori's arms.
"Glad to see that you're back, dear, for a moment, I thought I was going to have to go out there and drag you back." Kaori said jokingly.
"I'll say I was really worried that you got caught up in something really big." Edgar chimed in.
"Sorry if I kept y'all waiting I had a long conversation with someone on the way here." D-OOO said as he transform back into his civilian form.
"That's all right anyways are you going to introduce us to your friend who you have around your arms like a gym bag?" Kaori asked as she pointed at the individual who was wrapped around Rey's arms; that individual happened to be Soma, who looked a bit dizzy.
"I was about to get to him, just hold on a moment." Rey retorted as he gently placed Soma on the ground once on the ground Soma try to stand up but stumbled for a bit but managed to regain his balance.
"Are you okay?" Rey ask asked concerningly.
"I'll be fine I'm still not used to super speed and I thought one of my friend's speed powers were intense, but yours takes the cake." Soma informed, which got Rey curious as to whom he was referring to.
"Everyone, this is Soma. This is the guy who attacked me in the park earlier today," Rey informed them. The revelation had both of his Pokemon tensing up; Kaori was holding Lily really close to her, protectively, while Edgar stood behind her to shield her and Lily.
"Ease up guys, he's cool, he's harmless; turns out he was brainwashed into trying to kill me. I don't know who or what did it, but he's a friend, trust me." Rey stated firmly, while his Pokémon trusted their trainer unconditionally, though they were not 100% okay with the idea of someone who had tried to kill their trainer being right beside him. There was a brief moment of silence between them before they made a decision they would trust their trainer honestly, but they wouldn't let their guard down around him.
"All right, dear. We will trust your judgment on this, but..." Recognizing the calm, yet angry and venomous tone, Edgar stepped aside to allow Kaori to walk forward and look Soma directly in the eyes, the way she had been looking at him ever since they met. The shiver that ran through all three of them was palpable, while Lily remained blissfully unaware of the feelings that were being shared between her companions.
"If I find any form of backstabbing or deception, I will pound you into the ground with my leg, and keep stomping on you over and over again until you are nothing but dust got it!" Kaori stated threateningly, glaring straight at Soma the man in front of her responded with a single nod.
"Wait a second," Edgar chimed in. "You mentioned earlier that he was brainwashed; do you have any evidence to prove that, Rey?" He found this revelation rather skeptical.
"It's true, my penguin friend," Soma says, looking down with a mixture of confusion and shame on his face. "One moment, I was in Japan, talking to my friend. The next thing I knew, I was in a small town in America somewhere in the state of Michigan." He looks at Rey and the Pokémon in front of them, his expression filled with regret and guilt.
"Rey had explained everything to me on the way here and I am very sorry for everything I have done. I am sorry for trying to kill your friend and put the baby in danger. I never meant for any of this to happen, however, it does not change the fact that I still did these things. Again, I am truly sorry from the bottom of my heart." Soma bowed his head in apology, but then he looked back at them with a fiery, determined look.
"But I promise you all of you I'll do everything to make things right with all of you, and if I ever find the bastard who manipulated me to hurt any of you, he will pay," Soma said with great determination and passion, which somehow put him in a trance-like state. His Pokémon were taken aback by how strong his feelings were; like their trainer, they could feel that his words were honest and genuine. Kaori really felt bad for threatening him. Lily, meanwhile, just looked at him with curiosity. Rey placed his left hand on Soma's shoulder, snapping him out of his trance.
"I think they get it, my friend," he said. "You don't even feel bad or apologize for anything. I, for one, have forgiven you." He said with a slight positive tone, then continued. "Anyway, if you don't mind, I can ask why your plans are for now. If you like, I can call a friend of mine; she can help you get back home with no issues." Rey offered as he brought out his phone, ready to call Claire to help him with his predicament.
"Don't worry about it," Soma said. "I'm planning on calling one of my associates I know in Detroit; they will help me out with my issue." He paused and then went to one of his pockets.
"Which reminds me," Soma said as he pulled out a white business card and handed it to Rey.
"Here's my card." Rey accepted the card and inspected it. An image of a red, purple, yellow, and white bouquet of roses was laid out on the card. The title read, "The Rosie Path."
"The Rosie Path?" Rey raised an eyebrow and in confusion.
"An underground organization I work for we specializes in helping renegade Orphnochs and fangres to escape or hide from smart brain or the checkmate for," Soma informed. "We also help humans who have been captured or experimented on by the Smart Brain as well." Rey was astonished, as well as his Pokemon, to learn that there was an organization like this. Rey knew there were human sympathizers for both factions out there in this world he also knew there were a rare to find due to their viewpoints. He was glad that he ran into a renegade today and he was ecstatic to know that there was an organization like this existed it made him feel happy that organization existed.
"If you have any questions about the organization feel free to call me you'll find my number on the card." Soma said in a professional manner.
"I do have one question is there any reason why you're giving me your card?" Rey asked he was curious in what reason why he was giving him his business card he wonders what warranty they give him this as did his Pokemon.
"Organization policy states that if we come across anyone who knows anything about the existence of the Orphnochs or Fangres, we are to bring them into our organization for safety and protection. That is all." He explains as he shrugs his shoulders comedically.
"But I'm not going to bring you into my organization just because of what you showed me on the way here. You have prove to me that you can hold your own, especially against guys like me and the others from Fangres." Soma continued.
"By the way, before I go, I still have lots of questions that need to be answered, but I'm not going to force the answers out of you. I prefer to earn the trust of people; it makes everything more fun and more rewarding. Do keep in mind though, the knowledge you possess could become a dangerous asset to have, and I don't want to see anyone close to you get hurt, especially that cute little baby that your friend has in her arms." Soma points at Lily who Kaori still holding her.
"I'll keep that in mind and I promise you I will tell you everything I know Soma." Rey said.
"I well hold you to that promise Rey." Soma says to humorously as he exited the alle and waves goodbye.
"And there he goes; I really wish I could help him more, but I think he has things under control from his end," he says as he looks at the card, looking at it very intently he puts the card away and looks back at his Pokemon with a expression of gratitude on his face.
"I think it's about time all of us heading back to the house I really appreciate you all guys looking after her so thank you." Rey races as Edgar handed him the baby carrier.
"It was no trouble at all, Rey. Truth be told, I'm glad you asked. The two of us will look after this little bundle of joy; she's so cute, it almost hurts me to say goodbye." Kaori holds Lily even closer and nuzzles her cheek against hers tenderly Rey and Edgar chuckle nervously her nurturing side can be a bit overwhelming look at.
"Well, anyway, it's time for us to go. Can I have the baby," Rey asks politely. Kaori looks at Lily one more time and a sad expression appears on her face. She reluctantly hands her back to Rey. He puts her in the baby carrier.
"Hey, don't give that sad look to Lily; it's not like we're never going to see her again. We will still be close to her, and if there's an emergency, he'll call us out to look after her. So, don't give me that sad puppy look, okay?" Edgar said with a sense of reassurance, giving her a smile. She looked up at Edgar and gave him a simple nod, saying "Okay."
"It hadn't even been a full day and yet you two had already formed an attachment to each other. I'm impressed." Rey says with a a smirk.
"Well, I'm not too sure about Edgar, but as for me, I can't help it. She's cute, and don't deny it, dear. You're just as attached to her as I am," Kaori stated with a cheeky tone.
"Touche." He agreed and pulled out there Pokéballs, calling them back in Lily was confusing where they went.
"Don't worry, you'll see them again, Lily, I promise, but I know it's futile to ask since you're a baby, but do try to keep them a secret, okay?" He said jokingly and left the alley.
Meanwhile, over the cavern of N.V, a portal has opened up in his lair out of the portal came out the hooded figure himself. He looked a bit tired, annoyed, and drained. He made his way towards the throne where he sat down to relax. As he did so, his phone rang. He took it out and saw that it was his accomplice. He let out a sigh and answered the call.
"Hello!"
'My Lord, I have some urgent news; I cannot find or locate any signs of Soma or Rey anywhere. One moment, I was looking at him from a distance at a crossway in town. The next thing I knew, there was a magenta blur and he was carried off somewhere. I've been looking everywhere around town, but I haven't found anything or anyone else who saw them.'
"Take it easy chameleon girl and breathe; I had a strange feeling that he would give us the slip-up. So, why don't we call off this operation and call it a day? I'll keep an eye on things on my end; you just relax, okay?" N.V said in a calm tone.
'If that's what you want from me, then I'll do it. You may also send me home, please?'
"Done." He snapped his finger.
"There should be a portal at your end," N.V said at the end of the call. "Have a nice day." He switched his phone to its surveillance mode just as he predicted; he saw Rey coming home with Lily.
"Looks like you survived; now the question is, did Rey kill the kid or did he saved him?" N.V asked himself.
At The Loud House, we see Ray and Lily standing in front of the door, about to open it. Suddenly, Ray hears a loud engine noise and looks back, realizing the source of the noise is their family van. He immediately knows what he needs to do next.
'All right, time to fix some loose ends,' He said determinedly as he went to greet the kids and their mother.
"Hey y'all, welcome home," Rey greeted them with a warm smile.
"Hey, Rey, hey, Lily," They all said in unison, sounding more disappointed and welcoming, especially Lincoln who got out of his seat and headed inside the girls were about to do the same but Ray quickly gave them a hey look in his eyes they recognize that was telling them to stay put I have something to ask all of you.
"How did everything go for everyone here?" Rey asked rhetorically, even though he knew exactly what had happened to everyone; he was just doing it out of courtesy.
"It could have been better," Rita said as she exited the driver's seat, sounding very livid and disappointed and she closed the door to the van.
"I won't ask what happened anyways here's Lily safe and sound like I promise." Rey says as he hands Lily over to her mother.
"Thank you, Rey. I appreciate you taking care of Lily while we were all out. Rita thanked him as she took her youngest daughter in her arms.
"It was my pleasure, Mrs. Loud. Anyways, can I have a moment with your daughters? All of them, please?" Ray asked politely every pointed to the girls who were still winning for response from him.
"All right, Ray," she said as she walked into the house with the baby. "Don't take too long." The girls looked very nervous when they glanced over at him.
"I'll be blunt with you girls, you messed up at the grocery store; they got Lincoln in trouble, didn't y'all?!" The girls froze at how spot on he was.
"Praytell, how can you possibly know it was us?" Lisa asked, as she adjusted her glasses.
"Well Lisa, I can tell just by looking at Lincoln the way he looked at you briefly that tells me all I need to know. And, you both had the same expression of guilt on your face. Plus, I don't see any groceries in the back of the van." Rey pointed out the obvious.
"Anyway, enough dilly-dallying for all of you; let's go make this right." He said as he pulled out his phone to call Claire. It didn't take long for her to pick up.
"Claire, do me a solid and keep Rita busy for as long as you can... Why you ask? Simple, the girls messed up, and I'm going to help them set things right. And I don't want their mother to know it's a surprise. Can you do it? Okay, thank you. I owe you one." Ray said ecstatically as he hung up the phone and proceeded to enter the van.
"Lori, you have your license; get in the driver's seat," Rey ordered. "All of you, get in now!" The girls got in quickly as possible.
Okay, so where are we literally going?" Lori asked as she fastened her seatbelt and started the engine.
"We're going back to the grocery store!" Ray exclaimed, catching all the girls off guard and surprising them that he wanted to go there.
"And all y'all are going to apologize and we're going to finish the shopping for your mother and get Lincoln his zombie brand cereal in the process. Luckily for all of you, I memorized the shopping list and I have the exact amount of money we need to pay for everything. So, without further delay, let's go, Lori!" Rey ordered as he gave her a very menacing glare. Lori did as she was told and booked it as fast as possible to their destination.
Sometime has passed and we now see the family van parked at its spot Rey was first to exited then the other girls falls suit.
"Excellent work, girls! I'm glad that the grocery store manager accepted y'all apology and let you off with a warning. On the plus side, your mother doesn't have to go to another town for grocery shopping. Thank you for helping me with the shopping; it wasn't easy, but I appreciate it all the same." He said proudly as he opened the back of the van and grabbed one of the bags from inside.
"It's the least we can we all feel bad Lincoln worked hard while we were just goofing off I hope this will be enough to make up for that." Lori said sincerely a feeling that all her sisters shared.
"I hope so too, Lori, come on y'all help me unload this stuff." Rey said he grabbed a single bag as he headed for the fence gate. He opened it and headed for the back door that led to the kitchen. As he opened the door, seeing no one inside, he signaled the girls to come in. Once they were all inside, he held the door open for them to unload their purchases. Once that was done, he closed the door behind them.
"Well done girls," Rey said as he held up one bag and headed to the living room. He caught a glance at Lincoln who was sitting on the couch with a board and depressed look with Lily who was eating her puree food in her own seat and table Ray silently waved at Lily looked up and giggled at him Rey couldn't help but smile at her.
"Hey Lincoln how you doing champ?" Rey ask casually casually.
"Oh hey Rey not much just doing the same thing when I did earlier." Lincoln answers.
"I can see that anyways I know you're a little down and have something that will make you feel better but I can't tell you what it is I need you to humor me and me close your eyes can you do that for me?" Ray asked Lincoln begrudgingly does that Rey signals for all the girls to come in then he removed a box item from the bag and hands it over to Lori.
"All right Lincoln you can open your eyes down."Ray said an eager tone as Lincoln opened his eyes he let out a loud gasp of as his face was filled with joy and excitement.
"You got me the cereal!" Lori grab his bowl she pours some of the cereal in it and hands it over back to Lincoln.
"It was Rey's idea. The only reason you didn't get this was because of us."
"And with that, my work here is done, if y'all need me I'll be in the kitchen I'm going to make something very special for y'all hope you will like it!" Rey hollered enthusiastically as he headed to the kitchen to get something started. The girls and Lincoln, were very ecstatic to see what Rey will cook up the dinner he made on Wednesday really won them over including their parents.
There you go, all done! Once again, I made a very long chapter, but it couldn't be helped anyway. I hope this chapter is to everyone's liking. I was really stuck on this one, like the last one, as to where to take it, but I hope this is a good chapter for everyone to enjoy.
Also, I hope the changes I made to the final scene of Cereal Fender are acceptable. I'll admit this episode wasn't one of my favorites, but I still think it could have been done differently. While I do feel bad that I couldn't find a way to write Rey into the story to help Lincoln with his grocery shopping, there was no real need for him to be in that part of that episode.
Anyways I hope my introduction to Soma and The Rosy path organizations is acceptable I do have plans for this organization to be included in the story moving forward. How and when will they be incorporated is left to be said.
Anyways I hope the parts that were in Japanese are acceptable and there's anything wrong with it feel free to tell me and I will correct them.
Lastly, I hope you all find it all right with the ability that Claire granted to Rey to communicate with his Pokemon through his thoughts. I realize that in the Pokemon, I won't be getting much screen time outside of there pokeballs and they won't be interacting with anyone in The Loud House for some time, so I hope this will solve that issue and to be acceptable choice.
Look forward to the next chapter in my story until then see y'all next time.
