Chapter Ten: Conflict Part 2
Outside of the castle in C-city, Link got the people out. Already another security is on the scene, getting reports of shots. They have surrounded the area, making sure no one goes in.
Link frowned while looking at the castle, now knowing what has been in the shadows. Not only did he learn that the Madness is still around.
The rulers knew it was, and to make matters worse. They have been using that thing's power. Which is dangerous as it could know and manipulate things. Shown as with C-Sha in there.
He looked at one of the officers. "Are our backup generators still working?"
The officer looked at him, confused at the question. "I don't know sir." He knows Link is higher ranked than him.
"Find out, tell them to be ready for a loss of power. I'm sorry to say … as a crystal break might be repeated."
The officer paled in fright. "But sir, are you sure?"
Link gave a grim nod. The officer got on the radio to call it in.
Link took off, leaving for where Mina is locked up, knowing a possible place. She will be needed for what will take place.
Because she could help spread information about the rulers' deals, as it seemed she knew about this. The rulers can't be trusted now. The Madness has been using them, that is clear from what he has seen.
How much, he doesn't know. But they must be prepared for the worse outcome. He had a bad feeling about leaving White Heart alone with the ruler. As C-Sha has shown to be strong and cunning.
He hoped the goddess would win when she has shown to care for them. Turning herself over and protecting them. Along with showing reluctance at being a ruler.
But he must have a backup plan. For they don't know what C-Sha did in helping that monster.
He growled, thinking dark thoughts about Orange Heart. Once again, that goddess caused problems. She did before when she could have focused on helping in different ways, not charging in. Not thinking about things, as she used that thing's power without a second thought.
"Mina, I hope you're still alive and can help," Link muttered, hoping the supervisor is alive to help.
In K-Sha's office in K-city. Kei is sitting at the ruler's desk. Working on the computer, she grunted at finally logging into the darn thing the past few minutes.
She had a few bandages on, she didn't have the time to get looked over. Thankfully, a few painkillers are helping also, dulling her aches from being hurt in that cell.
"At least she did good on her password," Kei murmured, if she didn't know about the ruler's quirks, she might never get in.
Leon and Chris waited for any news; they all came to the tower to find any information on the ruler's plans.
They don't know where K-Sha is and weren't sure whether to call her. Not from learning the ruler is acting odd.
Along with being told K-Sha could have glowing yellow eyes, the same the Madness has.
Kei could see a name on a folder; she raised a brow. She had never seen any of this, it had "share restriction" on it.
She opened the file and read it. A cold sweat came to her face. "This is beyond bad. That damn…"
Instantly, the two agents are standing by Kei. They needed to what is wrong.
"Kei, what's wrong?" Chris asked.
Kei looked at him, shaking pointing at the screen. "K-Sha—no, all three of them have made a share restriction field."
"What?"
Kei shivered. "From what I've read, it could weaken a goddess, by restricting her share intake. It might mess with everything using share, but its main purpose is to weaken a goddess."
Leon's eyes widened. "Why would that be made? From what you've said, only Orange Heart was around before the others, unless."
"Unless." Chris frowned with folded arms. "The Madness manipulated the rulers to make this thing. It wanted a weapon to use against Orange Heart."
Kei chuckled humorously. "Yes, but it could also be used against other goddesses. Even if this was made recently, it could have been in the works for years."
From what she could make out, it was done with utmost secrecy. Which is why she hasn't heard of it.
Leon frowned. "We need to find Black Heart now. From what you've said. K-Sha isn't interested in having a friendly chat."
Kei clicked her tongue and went back to work. She had to hurry; Black Heart could be in danger. They must find the goddess.
Black Heart is still restrained in the building. Glaring at K-Sha, the cuffs still on her wrists, weakened from the share restriction field. The lights were a bit dimmer, but she could still see. Nothing else seemed affected by it. The magnet is keeping Cavaliere in place from helping her.
K-Sha frowned, still wanting the goddess to return her affections. That will be a hindrance, but it is doable.
She looked at the entrance where that motorcycle broke in. The door was ruined, still a quick fix. She walked close to a spot on the wall, near the ruined door, and pressed a button. A shudder fell, locking down the place.
Another reason she used the place. To help keep the goddess locked away. Long as she can keep the restriction field.
Black Heart could feel her T-vehicle apologize to her, she looked at Cavaliere with a faint smile. "You did what you could, Cavaliere. We both underestimated her. Not thinking about this."
Her chariot responds with a soft rev. It still wanted to save her; it must help the goddess bound to it.
Also, it has come to care for her. It can't say for sure but can't help but want to keep her safe. Maybe it is the same for her, she has shown her concern for the T-vehicle more than once.
In its talks with Karuta, to help pass the time, it knows the kart cares for White Heart. The kart was created before the motorcycle and seems older, but it still was willful. Could back talk to its master but is willing to be destroyed for the sake of its goddess.
They are their chariots but have become comrades to each other. It can't afford to let this damn human harm its master.
If only it could do something to get free of this cursed magnet.
Black Heart could feel the anxiety of her T-vehicle, it is afraid for her. It knows that K-Sha will harm her. All because of some insane desire to own the goddess.
She could see the ruler walking back to them, glaring at the T-vehicle. She stopped to look at it.
Black Heart snarled, she hoped Cavaliere would be left alone. But more than likely be used against her, it is a hostage as her.
"I should turn you into scrap," K-Sha hissed at the motorcycle. "You ruined the door and interfere with our time together."
The motorcycle revved, saying something to the ruler.
K-Sha's eyes glowed yellow. "I'm going with that was an insult. I suggest you 'behave yourself.' I don't want to ruin Noire's bike. Unless needed."
Cavaliere roared in defiance, it knows that the ruler has harmed its master. Plan to have her submit to the ruler.
K-Sha clicked her tongue. "Such a child. Not knowing when to be quiet. Oh well." She shrugged. "I have time to teach it some manners."
She walked toward Black Heart; her eyes went back to normal. "As with Noire."
Black Heart frowned, she's maintaining her form, which is odd. She should have lost it by now. Even Cavaliere is still transformed. If weakened, why haven't they turned back now?
She did feel a pull, noticing how her power seemed centered on something. It was noticeable, but could it help them?
White Heart groaned, still weakened in the castle in C-city. In her goddess form, even Karuta is transformed.
It was damaged, but still transformed and seemed to slowly fix itself. From what she could see.
Why, White Heart thought, this is odd. She should have lost her form.
Be back in her human state but is holding on to it. It wasn't easy. Still, how is this possible?
She jumped when C-Sha fired on her, leaving her axe behind. A bullet nicked her right shoulder.
Biting down, she reached with her right hand. With a flash, her Desert Eagle appeared and fired at the ruler.
C-Sha cursed and dodged; her left leg got nicked. She got behind a pillar and ducked, seething.
There are a few pillars in her office, as this was once the office of Pink Heart. Sure, it didn't have a throne, but it had that look before she took over.
"How did she get her gun?" C-Sha knows that goddesses have guns. But she should be weakened, but not only that goddess is still in her transformed state.
That isn't right, she should be in human form by now. But she is weakened, giving her an advantage. She just had to kill her now.
White Heart moved to a different spot, needing to keep from being killed. As a bullet could kill her.
Once behind a pillar, she thought about what to do. She did spot a box on the wall. It was high up; she couldn't reach it. But maybe shoot at it.
However, she noticed it was a good bit off. She needed to be closer to break it, stop this field.
White Heart took a deep breath and held up her pistol near her head at the ready. "I have one shot; I just need to destroy that box. That should stop the restriction field."
She had a plan, once free of this. She would have a better chance of facing the ruler. From what she saw, the ruler is stronger than thought.
As it seems that power did make them better. Which is why Uzume used it on those humans. Only she didn't think there would be consequences to this.
"I'm starting to hate Orange Heart." White Heart could understand why Vert had a rage with the hidden goddess.
It seems she wanted to make their lives a living hell. All by making bad choices, it made her wonder if they had those problems with Uzume before. She felt they will get those answers later, proving she survives this.
She took a quick look, and with a nod. She ran to where she could get a shot. Even running, she kept an eye out for C-Sha. There are other places to hide with pillars.
This field is her biggest advantage right now. It would up the odds in White Heart's favor if she destroyed the box. Only a few feet close to the box, then a roar came from Karuta.
The goddess looked to the side, barely missing a fist. She jumped back, but a kick knocked her Desert Eagle out of her hands.
White Heart cursed blocking a punch and moved her head as another haymaker came inches of knocking her teeth out.
She hopped back to see C-Sha glaring at her, a pair of blue finger-less gloves on her hands. A metal plate on them. She got her M1911A1 and with a quick action, fired at the goddess.
White Heart moved, but a bullet landed on her left shoulder. She screamed and fell to the floor. She glared at the ruler, holding her wounded shoulder.
C-Sha coldly looked at her, her M1911A1 pointed at the goddess's head. "Your time is over, goddess. I'm not going to keep you locked up, as you're more trouble than your worth."
White Heart snared; she was out of options now. She lost her weapons, weakened and Karuta is still out. It can't fire a shell with her too close to the ruler.
Karuta roared, it needed to do something to save its master. Its tires are still ruined, on its side, helpless to do anything.
This is the end for them.
White Heart lowered her head, this is it. She will die as this, only created not that long ago. Only to be killed by this person. She gasped at feeling a … burst of power.
C-Sha squeezed the trigger, a bullet racing toward the goddess. Her eyes widened in shock, not from hitting her target. Because she quickly hopped to her feet and jumped. Missing the bullet by an inch.
White Heart leaped over C-Sha, and a pair of faint wings appeared behind her back. Glowing white orbs on her gauntlets. She was able to leap behind the shocked ruler and lashed out with a kick.
C-Sha screamed in pain and rage, that kick felt like an Assault hitting her. She rolled with force and turned to face her target. On a knee, her back aching from that kick.
Only to gasped at seeing White Heart near the box, her recovered pistol in hand. Then fired on it. Sparks erupted from her bullets landing on their target.
The hum vanished; the effect was instant on the goddess. The glow looked brighter as she glared at the human. Her left shoulder seemed to be healing.
"Burst mode," White Heart murmured the name of this event. She must have stockpiled or slowly saved up her share. Then used it to help her.
Making her stronger, or in this case, near her normal strength when weakened.
C-Sha growled; she had that goddess. Only for something to save her, wait she has heard of something like this. It was a rumor, but a goddess has a mode that increases her power for a short period.
White Heart stopped her burst mode, it wasn't needed, and she wasn't sure what the long-term effects are. The orbs on her gauntlets faded, as her burst mode was off.
Now, she is back to normal strength. Evening the playing field.
C-Sha is running away to a different room, no longer fighting her. She must've gotten up.
White Heart narrowed her eyes, she does know the castle a little. From what she could read about it. As they didn't want intimate knowledge of the place. She wondered why C-Sha would leave, and she gasped at realizing that is in the direction of the share crystal.
"She has gone insane," White Heart snarled, she put away her weapons and started running to catch up to the ruler.
She hoped Karuta will be fine. But she has a bigger problem with C-Sha.
Because the ruler might want to destroy the sharicite now. Sure, they didn't try to destroy the crystals before, as they weren't claimed with giving power to the cities. But now, with them being claimed. It changed everything.
White Heart rushed toward the chamber where the sharicite rested, not only if it is destroyed guaranteeing her being weakened. There is a chance a massive bomb will detonate.
When a goddess dies, all the share is used up or evaporates, but if destroyed. No telling what would happen to it. It could dissolve, but it is too risky.
Black Heart is staring at K-Sha, still in the building. She could see that ruler might start hurting her.
"Noire, Noire," K-Sha softly sang, walking toward her object of affection. "What am I going to do with you."
Black Heart gritted her teeth, now comes the torture. She felt a pull if there is a way out of this. She called on it.
Now she could feel some of her strength coming to her.
K-Sha didn't want to hurt her Noire, but desperate times call for desperate measures. To keep the goddess safe and be with her.
She stopped at noticing a blue glow starting on Black Heart's body. At first, she thought, Noire was finally going back to her human form, but it seemed centered around the blue square on the goddess's toro, then another seemed to be on her back. The same light is showing on the wall.
Black Heart pulled on her right restraint, the chain broke, then she did it on the other one.
"What?" K-Sha stepped back in shock. So much, she didn't see the kick. That landed on her torso.
The ruler screamed in pain while moving away from the force. She nearly fell from that kick, as if a mule kicked her. She coughed a bit holding her torso, she isn't pain tolerant as C-Sha.
Black Heart raised her right hand, got her M-9, and pointed her pistol at the box. She fired on it; her shoots were dead on.
Sparks came from it and the hum was gone once destroyed. The lights went back to normal.
The goddess felt better, her strength coming back. She leaped back as bullets came at her.
She glared at K-Sha, returning fire while kneeling.
K-Sha cursed at it while dodging the bullets. How did this happen? The restriction field was working, how did Noire get the strength to break free?
The glow around Black Heart faded, feeling the rush slowly subside, she stopped using her burst mode. She was back to her normal level of strength.
The shudders opened, and she spotted K-Sha running away. Leaving the building.
Black Heart stood and narrowed her eyes, why did K-Sha leave? That didn't sit well with her.
She looked and spot what could be the control of the magnet holding her companion. Her weapons were put away, with quick steps. She released Cavaliere.
The motorcycle landed hard, giving a rumble. It was a bit shaken from the rough landing but isn't damaged.
Black Heart rushed to be by it, breaking the cuffs off her wrists. "Cavaliere, are you okay?" She threw the cuffs.
It responded by moving to be ready to go; it wanted to get back at the ruler.
Black Heart nodded and hopped on; she drove outside. The hole has more than enough room for them.
The two spotted a CT5 Cadillac rushing away; its tires squealed as it sped away. It was red and seemed different than normal. It looked luxurious from what they saw.
Black Heart narrowed her eyes, feeling K-Sha is in that car. "She is leaving, time to catch her."
Cavaliere roared in agreement, it is too dangerous to leave that corrupted human alone.
They blasted after the Cadillac. The burner on Cavaliere roared like an enraged beast. Tires screamed as they went after the car.
In the Cadillac, K-Sha seethed as she drove away from the building. Her plan is ruined, all by some hidden ability the goddess has.
It makes sense, Noire got a burst of strength to break free. Which means, she needed to go to the source to stop her. Then nothing would stop her from, thoughts stopped at seeing the goddess appearing in the rearview mirror, driving her T-vehicle.
Not happy from the glare she seems to be giving.
"You want to race," K-Sha hissed with yellow eyes. "Let's see if you can do that, goddess."
She pushed the gas, thankful that there aren't too many people on the roads. As it wasn't time for traffic to pour out. Giving her enough room to maneuver.
(Listen to The Chase of Highway by Nobuo Uematsu)
Black Heart pushed Cavaliere to catch up with the Cadillac on the road, spotting K-Sha's figure in the driver's seat. She could see the car speed up.
She snarled at this; K-Sha seemed to be in a rush. Given her plan fell through, where is she going? They seemed to be on a road that could lead them somewhere in the city. Her former captor took a turn, she followed, and it became clear.
She is going to the tower. Which could mean.
"She might want to destroy the share crystal," Black Heart said aloud.
That makes sense, a gut feeling as K-Sha tried to weaken her. Since that failed when she used her burst mode.
K-Sha could use another way of weakening the goddess. But there is no telling what would happen if a share crystal were destroyed in this manner.
Cavaliere roared as its master poured on the gas. Not only did that human try to force its master to submit, but she also now has the gall to destroy her crystal. Affecting all the followers if successful.
They must catch up with that crazed human, she can't be allowed to carry out her plan.
Black Heart is close to the tail end of the Cadillac. She held out her right hand, and her M-9 appeared. She fired at the car. Trying to see if she can stop it, but her bullets didn't have any effect on the car. It did leave marks on the trunk, but not going in.
"Damn," Black Heart swore at seeing this. "That car must be made with composite."
That made sense, as her bullets are a bit more powerful than the norm. She could hit the tires. But would that work? As it could be possible that the car has a safety system or some way to keep driving. She did read about this type of vehicle as she was curious about them.
Black Heart heard a splash, she screamed at seeing oil appearing on the road. It must come from the Cadillac. She swiveled once Cavaliere's tires hit the oil.
She grunted while trying from losing control, her M-9 went back to storage. She swiveled into a different lane but gained control, thankfully. Her practice helped in this.
She glared at the Cadillac on the different lane. "We have a car to catch, Cavaliere."
The motorcycle blasted on the road, it wanted to catch that car. Give payback to that ruler for what she has done.
Black Heart leaned forward to drive faster, there aren't that many people on the road. All the better for her, she couldn't hit someone along with needing to catch up to K-Sha.
Then find a way to stop that Cadillac. Which won't be easy as it seemed made specially to protect the individual inside.
K-Sha poured on the gas of her Cadillac; she used the oil slick. There might be enough for another use. But she does have a few other surprises. As there are other features in her car.
Given Noire is chasing her, that would be a nice thing. Have a playful chase, sadly, it wasn't. All because something ruins it.
She will have the goddess. The only guarantee is destroying the crystal. Her musings stopped at seeing her interest appear in the rearview mirror again.
"How?" K-Sha rushed toward a tunnel that is en route to the tower. Lost at how the goddess caught up so fast. She was in a lane that didn't connect to this one so soon.
Black Heart glared as they close into the Cadillac. She found a ramp near the lane she was in. It seemed locked down or such but wasn't anymore, as she used it to get on this lane.
Maybe it was used by Navy Heart. As she heard the goddess wanted ways to get on other lanes for getting anywhere in her city.
Still, they should be locked down for no one to use them. She narrowed her eyes, no time to think about it. She wasn't behind the Cadillac so as not to drive into another oil slick.
They rushed to a tunnel on the way to the tower. Black Heart looked for any way to pierce that armor. K-Sha could get out of the car once at the tower, the thing is, would she get down to where she could stop her?
It was the former goddess's home, it could have ways of getting in without getting out of a vehicle. As that can be done with any home. Then fortify in the tower, giving her the time to destroy the crystal.
The goddess heard a noise. Not that loud but heard over the engines of both vehicles.
Black Heart gasped at seeing two rockets come out of Cadillac. They rushed to a sign on the top of the tunnel. The sign came down as the Cadillac rushed past it, missing it by a few feet.
Black Heart growled, as the sign came at her, she could stop from getting hit. But couldn't afford to stop now. She leaped toward the sign, her claymore appearing in her hands. She raised her blade and slashed at the sign with an overhead chop.
The sign was split in two, the halves falling to let them pass by a few inches. Black Heart's feet landed on her T-vehicle, it carefully matched her, and her claymore vanished. She hopped back onto the seat and continued her pursuit of K-Sha.
She is out of the tunnel, now seeing people around the area. This was close to the houses where they lived.
She chucked nervously at seeing various people outside, all looking confused at this … chase.
They know their ruler's CT5 Cadillac, but to also see a motorcycle following it. What is going on?
Is K-Sha under attack?
Black Heart kept going after the ruler, noticing sirens in the distance. "Oh great! Now the police are getting involved. This is getting out of hand."
Cavaliere roared, it knows they are taking on a ruler. But they were captured and nearly tortured. Along with seeing she might be unfit to rule. As it seems something is using her.
It then got an idea. It was risky, but it could work.
Black Heart clenched her teeth at this stalemate, it was then her T-vehicle gave her a plan. She gripped the handlebars tightly.
"It is too risky, Cavaliere," Black Heart replied tightly. "You might get damaged; I don't want that."
The motorcycle replied it understood, but they needed to stop the ruler.
Black Heart agreed with that, but … she could see they weren't that far from the tower. She nodded her consent to the plan and maneuvered; she punched it.
K-Sha spotted her interest blast past her before she could ram her. "What are you up to?"
Will Noire try to shoot her window? Which won't be easy, even try to take out the tires. Both won't stop her. She has never flat tires and bulletproof windows.
Along with armor on the car. It was close to a tank. It's easily heavier than a normal CT5 Cadillac but served its purpose. That is why this Cadillac was built, to keep her safe when traveling.
A few feet in front of the Cadillac, the ruler's eyes widened at seeing the goddess turn around, and for a second. It looked as if she had wings on her back.
Black Heart snarled as she positioned her T-vehicle at the Cadillac, pressing the top button. She got off as it sped toward the car doing a wheelie.
Cavaliere used its burner, giving all the thrust it has, launching as a missile with its front chainsaw wheel engaged.
The two vehicles slammed into each other, the motorcycle in the middle of the car's hood. The sound of metal grinding was heard. The car kept moving as the motorcycle pushed at its spot, but the Cadillac slowed a little.
Black Heart watch this in horror and concern. Hoping that her companion would survive.
Cavaliere pushed harder, it started a crack, and then it burst through the hood of the Cadillac. It broke through the hood tearing into the motor, bits of the engine fell, and fluid poured out. The Cadillac started losing more speed, but it had ways of keeping moving.
The motorcycle slides over the car's roof as something was pushed into the car. Parts of the T-vehicle came off from getting snagged on the Cadillac.
Black Heart rushed to the side to dodge the out-of-control car. She glared, did Cavaliere's attack do nothing, but it did slam into a streetlight. Stopping as its motor died. Oil started leaking onto the pavement with a thump. It looked what was left of the motor fell.
Black Heart heard a weak rumble. She looked to see her T-vehicle in bad shape a few feet away on the road on its side.
She heard shouts and sirens but ignored them as she ran to her companion. She kneeled by the motorcycle's side.
"Cavaliere," Black Heart muttered softly, she placed a hand to soothe it.
The motorcycle was sturdy, but the car's armor was harder than expected. Its front wheel was bent. Its fins had been stripped off. The left handlebar is bent. Both of its blades are broken.
It gave a soft noise, ken to a moan of pain.
"You." Black Heart couldn't find what to say. Her companion is hurt. She heard an inhuman growl.
"You care more for that damn bike them me," an enraged voice said.
Black Heart turned to look and see K-Sha glaring at her with glowing yellow eyes. Her Kel-Tec PLR 16 is in her hands. Standing by her ruined Cadillac.
Black Heart frowned while slowly getting up to face the ruler. "Cavaliere is my companion, K-Sha. As with White Heart. You have no right to dictate who I'm friends with." She tensed for anything.
Cavaliere rumbled, it won't be any help in this state. It could repair its front tire but could take too long. It doesn't have the time.
K-Sha slowly stepped closer while staying close to her ruined vehicle. Her hands worked her Kel-Tec PLR-16, making sure it is loaded. She even had a gun belt with extra ammo and a small blade.
She pointed her Kel-Tec PLR-16 at the goddess. "If I can't have you, Noire. Then no one should." She fired on the goddess.
Black Heart swore and leaped out of the bullet's way. She spotted various people around. She waved at them.
"This isn't a show," she shouted while looking at them. "Get out of here."
A bullet grazed her right shoulder, she winched but got her M-9 and returned fire. She ran as the ruler used the Cadillac to block her shots. It still can be used as a cover.
The people ducked and screamed in terror. They now have a gunfight taking place. But they couldn't understand what is going on. That strange woman who is taking on K-Sha, what is she?
A few were prone on the ground, they had to get a look at the white-haired woman. The way she talked about that motorcycle, how that gun appeared. Along with her wearing a skin suit and those eyes. It can't be possible.
Is that a goddess? The same as Navy Heart from those years ago. They had to know.
Black Heart flattened her mouth, she kneeled, still firing on the ruler. She could see people still around; some have run away. But it looked like some are watching them. They looked confused at seeing her.
She rolled as another round of bullets came at her. Then gasped when K-Sha climbed over her CT5 Cadillac. She landed near the goddess, screaming.
Black Heart moved as the ruler fired on her. K-Sha is too mad to care right now. As she could keep using her car as cover. She hopped to her feet, her M-9 lowered, tense for anything.
A click was heard from the Kel-Tec PLR 16. It was empty, but K-Sha got her knife from the belt and placed it on the barrel of the pistol. It snapped on there, she thrust it at Black Heart.
Black Heart dropped her M-9, the ruler crouched down, and she could see people behind the ruler. It was too risky to fire, instead have her claymore appear, she blocked the makeshift bayonet. Sparks flew from the clash.
"You should have become mine, Noire!" K-Sha roared, her voice having an echo to it. "We could have won the war to come, rule over those humans."
Black Heart snarled. "I'm not an object for you to own. Plus, are you really in control of that thing's power?" She shoved the ruler back and went into a guard position. "As you can't see what harm you are doing by fighting me."
K-Sha's face twisted into a rage going into a fighting stance. "You're just blinded by that brown-haired hussy, is that it?"
Black Heart clicked her tongue. It seems that nothing is getting through to K-Sha, she can't take that Blanc has become a friend. Only seeing the other goddess as a threat to her wanting the white-haired goddess.
A few police cars arrived, and officers hopped out. They got a call of a highway chase taking place. Did they spot their ruler facing a … cosplayer? As that person looks like a goddess.
A grey car appeared and was parked by the patrol cars. Kei hopped out, she gasped at seeing the two who are facing each other. She has seen the reports of the chase taking place, looking into highway cameras to see Black Heart chasing down K-Sha's Cadillac. She helped by engaging that ramp that Black Heart used to catch up to K-Sha.
"Black Heart," she called to the goddess.
Black Heart looked to see the supervisor close by. "Kei, how did you get here?" Shocked as she thought Kei was locked up.
K-Sha's eyes widened and looked back; Kei should be in a jail cell. She spotted Kei, her eyes narrowed at seeing Leon and Chris get out of the car. She put the pieces together instantly.
"Traitors! You shouldn't have freed her," K-Sha replied while pointing at the two.
The two agents tensed, not only did K-Sha now know what they did. She has glowing yellow eyes.
"I didn't think yellow eyes were in fashion now," Leon commented tightly, Chris frowning at seeing them also.
This confirmed what Kei said, K-Sha is using that monster's power in some way.
Kei snarled at the line. "That shows how corrupt she is. It is only now, we're seeing them."
K-Sha snarled and turned to look at Black Heart. "Time to finish this, Noire."
She rushed at the goddess again. Black Heart blocked the attack. She growled at this. Thankfully, she doesn't have to worry about Kei, but she still must fight K-Sha.
However, everyone is going to watch their fight. Which is bad enough she had to face the ruler. But now, this could make things harder as they could see her as a dictator. Not knowing the reasons, she is fighting, or being a goddess.
Kei gulped, knowing things are going to be hard. The police looked ready to intervene, possibly kill Black Heart as they will automatically see her as a threat.
"Damn," Kei swore, thinking of what to do.
"Do you know if that is a real goddess?" A voice asked Kei, it was near her.
The trio tensed, not sure who would be asking such a question. Not when a fight is taking place.
Kei looked to see a middle-aged woman. She had long black hair, and her amber eyes looked at her. Wearing a simple white shirt and black pants.
Leon and Chris looked lost at seeing the woman. She wasn't that tense but seemed fit. But no obvious weapons on her.
Kei slowly nodded, feeling she knew this woman. "Yes, she is a new goddess."
The woman looked at the fight taking place. "Navy Heart's successor, she does have that feel of her."
Kei gasped, knowing who this was. "Why are you here?"
The woman smiled softly. "I live near here and heard the commotion. Along with the rumors of a goddess showing up."
Black Heart blocked another strike from K-Sha's bayonet. She moved to the left, just missing a few shots.
K-Sha grumbled at missing, she secretly changed magazines, hoping to get the goddess.
She smirked at Black Heart. "You will lose, Noire." She waved at the people. "Even if you beat me, they won't accept you. You're an outcast."
Black Heart slowly stepped to the side, knowing what was said stings. She asked those questions before and wanted to keep things as is. But she can't.
K-Sha has shown to be manipulated, maybe more than realized, something keeps telling her the ruler is being used. Along with the attack on Kei and her. To top it off following Orange Heart's orders.
"Maybe your right, K-Sha," Black Heart replied, still on guard. "But why go along with Orange Heart? As she can't be trusted."
K-Sha winched as a headache came but shook her head. "It was for the mission. We all took it to prepare. It had to be done."
Black Heart frowned. "Right, that includes erasing the history of the goddesses. All so she won't be remembered who she is."
K-Sha glared at her. "So, what if we did? It shouldn't matter, those goddesses are dead. All because they trusted that —"
She stopped in shock; how did she know that? Then felt a fury took over. She shouldn't forget, this goddess should belong to her, and her alone. She was consumed by it that she didn't notice a haze over her vision.
Black Heart narrowed her eyes, and a cold feeling came to her. Like the one when she faced that Riot. "You had to get involved."
K-Sha giggled with glowing yellow eyes; a slit nearly formed in them as she looked at Black Heart. "Why not. That brat Uzume didn't think I would notice, sure my time is limited, goddess. As I can't control this idiot for long but." A cruel smirk on her lips.
"This pawn will keep fighting until she or you is dead." A maniacal snicker. "What is one human's life? It doesn't matter to me or that so-called smart Orange Heart. If you survive, I'll be seeing you."
Black Heart growled, not only did that thing talk through K-Sha, but it also knew what Orange Heart did. It's smarter than giving credit.
K-Sha then adopted a cold look, her eyes glow lessened, and it looked as if she was ready to attack.
"K-Sha?" Black Heart questioned the ruler slowly, tense for anything.
"You ruined our mission," K-Sha replied in her voice. "Turn down my affections, for that." She gripped her Kel-Tec PLR-16. "It is death for you!"
She fired at the goddess, who blocked the bullets with her claymore.
This has gone to worse, Black Heart thought, trying to think what to do. The ruler's shots have become wild.
Everyone ducked with the police calling the crowd to duck. They heard that talk and it chilled them to the bone. That voice sounded inhuman. Even if it had K-Sha's voice, it sounded different.
The group by Kei all crouched to keep getting hit by stray bullets.
Both agents got their pistols ready, as the ruler was losing them. They might have to step in.
The woman by Kei glared at K-Sha. "I knew something was wrong with her."
Kei shivered at the taciturn tone, it quiet but was cold as ice.
"I should have stayed," the woman replied with closed fists. "But." Her eyes watered.
"Tifa," Kei called the woman's name.
This was a former supervisor like her, only called an oracle. She helped Kei in her starting year before Tifa left as the death of Navy Heart affected her.
As it was implied, they were good friends. Probably why Tifa left her position, she couldn't stand them disgracing her friend's sacrifice. As she spoke about the events taking place with Navy Heart's death.
Black Heart needed to stop K-Sha. "Stop this, K-Sha. You could hurt someone."
"Yes," K-Sha agreed, firing her pistol at the goddess. "That would be you."
Black Heart scowled, dodging the bullets best as possible. Still seeing people around, then blocked another strike from the ruler's bayonet. The two struggled, pushing against each other's weapons.
K-Sha couldn't fire as the goddess had the barrel in the air.
"Ruler K-Sha, please get out of the way," an officer shouted.
K-Sha growled and looked at them, her eyes glowing in rage. "You are to back off, human. This … goddess is mine to kill. So back off or it will be death to you all."
The people gasped; sure K-Sha could be quirky. But why she is doing this?
Black Heart growled. "You have lost it, K-Sha? These are your people. Aren't you –"
She was stopped when K-Sha kneeled her in the stomach. Knocking the goddess away, then firing on her.
Black Heart moved to the side, but a bullet hit her left shoulder. Her blood dripped a few seconds later. She clenched her teeth at the pain, she heard screams of terror and a rumble.
She could see the cold look on K-Sha's face. She pointed her Kel-Tec PLR-16 at her and slowly squeezed the trigger. Before a bullet fired, Black Heart moved quickly. Stabbing the Ruler's heart in desperation.
K-Sha gasped in pain and shock, her eyes turning back to normal with dropping her weapon. She looked at the goddess.
"You … had to do …" K-Sha breathed out, now realizing what her actions caused. "I'm sorry, I should have … been smarter. But." Blood started coming out of her mouth and wound.
"K-Sha," Black Heart muttered, her hands shivering. She realized that there is more to the ruler now.
"We … wanted to … help, sadly … we screwed up. I know that … now." K-Sha's eyes slowly lost focus. "You must stop … that monster. Orange Heart … she." She went limp on the claymore.
Black Heart shallowed and slowly moved the body to the side. It landed on the pavement. Her claymore landed on the ground.
Everyone gasped in shock, that person just killed their ruler. But was it self-defense?
Tifa got up and walked toward the pair. The police called her to stop. But Tifa rushed over ignoring this. Soon, she was standing by the two.
Black Heart looked white, she looked at Tifa. Lost at what to do. She wasn't sure if that was the right choice. As it seemed K-Sha was being used, from what was said.
Tifa softly took Black Heart's left hand. "You only defended yourself. For now, please relax I know you are worn out. It might be best you go back to your human form, see to your chariot, goddess." She needed to soothe the goddess.
Black Heart glowed, and soon she was back in her human form. Still pale, her claymore vanished with the M-9.
The crowd gasped at this. This is a real goddess; she just transformed into her human form. As she was different before.
Slowly, Tifa moved to the side. Noire only walked in a daze toward Cavaliere.
Everyone tensed, the police were about to point their pistols at her, but Kei with Chris, and Leon ordered them to stand down. They couldn't take orders from Kei. But the agents showed their badges. They are of higher rank and know the badges.
Noire only walked toward her T-vehicle. There, she sat down just looking at it, lost on what to do.
The T-vehicle only gave a soft rumble, it tried to comfort its shaken master.
Tifa gave a sad smile. "The same as Navy Heart, she was lost when people died. The burden is given to them." She can remember the times Navy Heart was saddened when the Madness showed itself.
She looked at K-Sha's body, it was dripping blood. Her eyes narrowed, and she kneeled to get a look at the blood.
"Tifa, shouldn't you leave the body alone," Kei said, she rushed to see what the woman is doing.
She was about to comfort Black Heart, but this seem important.
Tifa ignored her, getting a pen. She picked up some of the blood on the pen and brought it up to look at.
Kei gasped at getting a look at it. She wasn't a doctor, but that blood looked wrong. It was dark and seemed to be glowing.
Tifa growled at this. "That Orange Heart is playing with fire. She should have known that monster would have noticed." She heard the ruler's last words; that a certain goddess is still alive.
She did hear rumors; she should have acted on them. Because how else do all the events take place?
Kei slowly nodded. "Then, it knows that Black Heart was created with the others."
Tifa stood and looked at Kei. "That is a strong bet. Plus, it is the reason why nothing was left of that monster's information."
Kei gasped with widened eyes. "What? I thought no records were made of it."
Tifa placed a land on her forehead. "There were records of it. I was so mad at them for removing Navy Heart's history, I overlooked this. The Madness wouldn't care if the history of goddesses was gone. It wanted an edge when it returned. It must have been having them remove those records."
Kei looked at K-Sha's body. "It was using them also. We knew this, but not the scoop."
Tifa nodded but looked at Noire. The officers are looking at the troubled goddess, lost on what to do. She sighed. "It looks like, we have work to do."
Kei nodded and looked at Noire. "She didn't want to rule. But that option might be long gone. With K-Sha's death, we need a ruler or some form of it."
Tifa looked down. "Yes, but first. We need to console her. This has been hard on her."
Kei didn't say anything, only walked to where Noire is. As she could tell, this has shaken the goddess to the core.
Tifa looked to the sky. "It seems I'll help again. I'm sorry to be late for this. I couldn't handle them forgetting about you, Navy Heart. As you did so much, giving your life."
She was friends with the former goddess. Knowing how her old friend lived, her troubles. When she passed it was so hard on her. Then for K-Sha to come in and do what she did.
It tore at her. She did stay for a few years, then helped Kei learn a little before she left. And since then, just living a quiet life. But now, it would seem she needs to help them.
In the castle at C-city. White Heart arrived at the chamber where the sharicite is at. She spotted C-Sha's back, just arriving there.
She entered the spacious room with her axe in hand. Glaring at the ruler.
The room had various consoles, taking readings of the share crystal. Toward the front was the crystal. It floated a few feet off the ground, it gave a pulse. A soft white color, in the shape of a power icon. Along the walls seem to be panels integrated into them.
C-Sha heard the footsteps and clicked her tongue at seeing White Heart. "You won't stop me."
White Heart glared at her. "I know you want me dead, but this is going too far."
Suddenly, a snicker from C-Sha had an echo to it. She looked at White Heart with an amused grin.
White Heart tightened her grip on her ax, this feeling. She had felt it, in that grove when she was looking into things.
C-Sha's eyes glowed as she looked at the goddess. "We're at the final stage, goddess. I must ament, I didn't think it would go this far."
White Heart narrowed her eyes, that isn't the ruler. "Hello, Blackest Horror. I didn't think you could do this."
C-Sha hissed her displeasure. "That isn't my name, well in one sense."
White Heart slowly moved to get between the crystal and C-Sha. "So, what do you want?"
A giggle from the ruler, watching her in amusement. "Now, now, that would ruin things. Or you going to be as that brat Uzume?" She hummed with a tilted head. "Want me to explain my reasons, spill my guts? Where is the fun in that."
White Heart frowned. "Enough, clearly you wanted to talk to me. For what reason? As I'm sure, you are in a prison."
C-Sha snickered. "Just to get a feel for you, goddess. As you seem far smarter than that brat. But sadly, our chat is coming to an end. Have fun with this idiot."
C-Sha's eyes did dim, but then she pointed her M1911A1 and fired. The goddess ducked but could see C-Sha moving toward the crystal on the left side of her.
"Damn," White Heart muttered, she needed to protect the crystal.
She felt the crystal tell her something, she looked and spotted it. She rushed to it and pushed a button on a console. Suddenly, gears shifted, and panels opened on the walls.
(Listen to Cultist Base by Mick Gordon)
C-Sha stopped and gasped, the share crystal moved into a clear box, then went above her. Soon, it was on a platform about ten feet in the air.
She cursed; she had forgotten the defenses of the castle. While a sharicite must stay in an area. It can move in that area, which was done by Pink Heart. She had made this before she died, and the ruler didn't see any reasons to remove it.
A bullet grazed the top of her right shoulder, she screamed as ice appeared. Her head snapped to glare at the goddess.
White Heart was on a platform, above where the button was, around three feet up. She jumped up there to get a better look at switching weapons.
C-Sha snarled and moved to hide behind a console. Her pistol rose above it and fired blindly at the goddess.
White Heart moved to the left side, leaping toward another platform. Strange, how she was doing this. While she wasn't that spry of a person, she wasn't any slouch either. Also, she felt this is right up her alley. As if she could do this … platforming. Maybe another thing that tied her to being C-city's goddess.
She did read that Pink Heart could do platforming. As this room did have platforms to jump around the room, even the sharicite is above the place, protecting it in that box. As it seemed that box has tempered glass.
Her eyes did spot C-Sha getting on a platform. "Seems it isn't far-fetched she can do it too."
C-Sha got up on the closet platform and fired a few shoots at White Heart, causing the goddess to duck.
The shoots weren't accurate but were meant to slow down the goddess. She could make it where she could destroy the crystal, as it is still assessable. She only had to get close enough.
She could see a few platforms in zigzag patterns, close to her. It looked to be a route. She leaped and landed, then turned and repeated.
She was focused on this and found a surprise at the end: White Heart standing there.
"Hello, ruler," White Heart greeted coldly. She found a way to cross the room using a swing rope. Possibly used to get to the other side quickly.
C-Sha charged at the goddess with a battle cry. She lashed out with a fist; she could get out her M1911A1. It didn't matter if her bullets hit anything, as she was going for the crystal, and no one was there.
But that goddess has her Desert Eagle out and fired.
C-Sha screamed as one bullet nicked her right forearm. Thankfully, the magic bullet didn't fully land. Still, it made her shiver from the cold from the bullet bursting into the ice behind her back.
White Heart snarled, she missed, but could see the dark blood coming from C-Sha's wounds.
"It even affected her physical body," she noted.
C-Sha got close with an uppercut. She used that to get closer, as it seemed the goddess was focused on her wounds. Her uppercut missed by two inches from landing on the goddess's jaw.
White Heart winched, and a cut appeared on her left cheek. She could have gotten cut from the metal on those gloves. Then a round-house kick came at her.
She blocked the kick with her right hand. A mistake, as C-Sha reached out with hand and knock the Desert Eagle out of the blue-haired goddess's left hand. The Desert Eagle landed on the ground.
White Heart grunted at losing her pistol but rushed at her opponent. Slamming into a heap, they grabbed at each other. Each trying to hit their opponent.
White Heart growled, grabbing the ruler's left shoulder. She twisted and threw the brown-haired woman off the platform. She was near the edge but moved preventing her from falling.
Causing a scream and a thud.
White Heart gasped in terror; they were about ten feet up. Could that have been enough to kill C-Sha? She got up and looked, seeing her laying on a console.
She looked at White Heart with her blue eyes. "Seems I lost."
White Heart could feel that C-Sha was fading. "No, I …"
C-Sha should curse that goddess for this, but now notice what she was doing. She could have killed everyone with her actions, worse, she was helping their enemy this whole time.
She was dying, that thing's power is leaving her system. Which is why things have become clear to her.
White Heart widened her eyes, seeing C-Sha give her a sad smile. "C-Sha?"
"Thanks for stopping me," the ruler replied softly. "I could have killed everyone. Sorry to have hurt you, your chariot, and Mina. In the end, I've seen my mistakes."
White Heart got up, rushing to get down. She did try to kill the ruler but felt a change in her. Soon she is standing by C-Sha.
She gasped at seeing some of the console broken, it could have pierced her body when she landed on it. Or ruptured one of her vital organs, as the ruler did land on a hard surface.
C-Sha's dark, glowing blood flowed from her wounds, she looked and growled. "All this time, and now I noticed it."
"What?"
"My blood being that color, maybe that monster dulled my vision when seeing it. As I've been hurt. Only." She sadly shook her head.
"It isn't too late," White Heart replied softly. "Maybe you can be saved."
C-Sha giggled softly. "You do have a kind heart. The same as Lady Pink Heart."
White Heart gasped. "You spoke as knowing her."
C-Sha gave a nod her eyes looked starry. "Truth be told, the three of us held them in high regard. We weren't sure about taking Orange Heart's plan but did. All because of learning that monster was still around.
"I guess we wanted revenge or to help. Either way, we foolishly believed that goddess."
"What do you mean?" White Heart questioned the ruler.
C-Sha snared, slamming a fist on the console. "Orange Heart said that the stuff we took in was purified. She was weakened from the fight with the Madness, with no followers to help power her. Sadly, it probably never was. As poison could look harmless but isn't."
White Heart shivered. "Then all that you did, was because of that monster?"
C-Sha sadly shook her head. "Not all, it used some of my hate of the goddesses. Maybe because they died, leaving us alone with that monster. As … I was angry at Pink Heart for leaving us."
White Heart could understand that grief could make you hate someone who passed.
C-Sha coughed. "Sorry, but you must finish this fight. I can't say S-Sha and K-Sha will be in their right mind. As you've seen."
White Heart gave a somber nod. "Yes, but how can I govern them? I mean." She looked away.
C-Sha chuckled humorously. "Do what you can. Maybe be different from us. As being a leader is never easy. I've had my problems, but … it only helped the wrong ones."
White Heart shallowed, she look at the ruler hoping she was falling asleep. But her chest went still. Slowly, her eyes lost their focus.
The goddess lowered her head, not sure what to think or say. Only the quiet hum of the crystal and consoles were heard.
Slowly retrieved her weapon, and then walked to where Karuta is. About five minutes, she arrived to see the kart still on its side.
White Heart could see the kart looks better. It no longer has a bent frame. But its tires and seat still are ruined.
White Heart stepped close, and once by her T-vehicle's side. She push it to where it would be on its tires. It was lumped-sided but seemed fine.
Karuta gave a rumble. White Heart looked at it flatly.
"You have to be snappy now," White Heart grumbled with anger. "I killed a person, and you're complaining about having no tires."
The kart gave a soft rumble.
White Heart slowly smiled and hugged the kart's frame. "Thanks for your help, my companion. I'll see about getting you some new tires. I'm glad you're still with me."
Karuta rumbled softly, it can't return the embrace, but it was still glad its master is alive. It was powerless to help in that battle.
"Karuta, you did all you could," White Heart sensed her kart's frustration. "I'm just so happy you're still with me. As I'm very fond of you."
The kart rumbled its heartfelt reply, it also cares deeply for her.
The two heard footsteps, and soon, a dozen officers appeared. All had their pistols drawn at the ready.
White Heart stepped to show herself to the group. One officer stood out.
She had short blue spiked hair. Her red eyes narrowed at seeing the goddess. She had a blue police uniform but had a bulletproof vest.
"Identity yourself," Officer Jenny ordered.
White Heart looked at them, as it seems they came ready to storm the place. "I'm White Heart."
Officer Jenny raised a brow. "Is that your real name?"
White Heart frowned; she is sick of this. That is her name, she was about to reply. Only to hear frantic running.
Soon, Mina appeared and nearly crashed into the shocked goddess. Standing by them, winded from running there.
The officers muttered, lost at this. No one should be allowed right now. How did this person get in?
"Mina, you're still alive," White Heart muttered in shock.
Mina nodded but winched. She has a bandage on her face with others.
"You shouldn't be running," a familiar voice stated.
White Heart looked to see Link walking in. A stern look on his face.
"We didn't know if it was safe with your injuries, Mina."
Mina turned and gave an uneasy look. "I'm sorry, but I had to see if White Heart was fine. I know …"
White Heart sighed while shaking her head. Is this going to be a thing she must watch out for: people come running to help her? She can't say if this will be annoying or a pleasant thing.
Karuta gave a rumble, causing the officers to jump. No one is in that kart.
Link walked up to Jenny. "Thanks for coming, any sign of C-Sha?"
Jenny shook her head, looking lost at the event taking place. "She … is truly a goddess."
Link nodded. "Yes, our new one."
Jenny looked at him shocked. "Then those rumors of goddesses. It was true."
"Yes," Link confirmed it. "K-City has its own with S-city. All because the Madness wasn't defeated years ago."
He hasn't had the time to spread the word of what was kept quiet. He had to see Mina, thankfully still alive.
Mina looked at Karuta with a winch. "I didn't think you would get hurt too, Karuta.
What could pass for a snort came from the kart.
Mina then gulped, noticing she couldn't feel the ruler. "Where is C-Sha?"
White Heart shook her head sadly. "Dead."
Mina and everyone gasped.
"You," Mina hesitated. "Had to stop her, White Heart. I heard a little of what took place, but."
White Heart glowed for a second and was back in her human form.
Blanc pointed toward the share crystal's chamber. "Her body is the share chamber. She was going to destroy it."
Jenny glared at her, hand on her pistol. "It will take more than words to believe you."
Mina glares at the officer. "How could you say that? I was— "
Blanc stopped her with a raised arm. "They are right to ask that. I … killed C-Sha by throwing her off a platform."
Mina gasped, covering her mouth. "A platform, you must have engaged the defense system."
Blanc nodded. "It was needed to protect the crystal."
Jenny looked conflicted about what to do. The others are tense at this information. They are now without a ruler.
Link decided on a course of action. "For now, I'll take White Heart to a place where she can stay."
"Sir is that wise?" Jenny asked. "This person killed our ruler. She must answer to that."
Link frowned. "I'm not dismissing that. But C-Sha was manipulated and threatened us. We will see what crimes White Heart is to be charged with. But for now. We need to see what has been going on."
Jenny slowly holstered her pistol with the others.
Blanc sighed and walked to sit in Karuta, once there, she rested as it was a taxing day. "I hope to get some sleep, after getting a seat and tires for you, Karuta."
The kart rumbled in agreement. It wanted to be mobile again, as they might need the kart to fight again. Given the tense situation taking place.
Mina smiled. But looking at a room. "Time for me to work."
Link cleared his throat, causing Mina to look at him. "Didn't Nurse Joy tell you to get checked out?"
Mina winched a little. That was a medic Link brought with him. While she isn't in danger of dying. The nurse wanted her to get looked over, but.
"I do that once I pull the security footage. As that can help," Mina explained.
Link sighed, knowing how stubborn Mina can be. "All right, but once done. See a doctor."
Mina nodded but took a quick look at Blanc, seeing her injuries. "Please see about White Heart, I'm sure she needs medical attention."
Link nodded. "She will be cared for."
Mina walked off on her way to get the footage and anything else that will shed light on the situation. She was powerless to stop from getting captured, but she can help now. She knows how bad it is for White Heart.
She needed to show evidence, that will help in this period. Then see if she can get ahold of Chika and Kei and see how they are doing. As they have a big ordeal taking place.
That's not including what Orange Heart will do. As the goddess will find out C-Sha is dead, maybe the others. As she heard of a fight taking place in K-city. Which could mean Black Heart is facing K-Sha.
In a small room. That had enough room for a bed. Vert was sleeping on the bed, and soon she groaned.
Slowly she forced herself awake. This is the safe house on the outskirts of S-city. She sat on the bed, still wearing the same clothes as before. Her eyes looked at the used MRE that she had eaten.
It wasn't the best, but she was too hungry to care. Her transformation exhausted her. She did wonder if the others were this tired. No telling right now. She felt Radeon is sleeping, maybe a little more than normal as it seemed tired also.
They both had a nice power nap. The goddess got up with a stretch. She could sense S-Sha's corrupted presence. Much better now.
"Seems we have a boss," Vert muttered. That was a given but couldn't stop this shiver down her spine.
As it seem something or someone was helping the ruler. She narrowed her eyes, remembering that Chika talked about a monster: the Madness.
Could be possible that Orange Heart used that thing's power? As it seemed that goddess had a fallout.
Given how Uzume attacked her, called her Cyan Heart in anger. Thinking about it, that showed her anger toward the former goddess.
Vert shook the cobwebs. "If I'm going to save Chika, I need to get going. I have a bad feeling."
She rushed toward her T-vehicle, hoping it will wake up. Be ready for battle as this is cutting it close.
In a hospital room, a soft sound of beeps was heard. In the bed was S-Sha with an IV in her left arm. Asleep earlier.
Then a growl, her eyes shot open. Glowing yellow in rage.
She looked around, noticing being in a hospital. "I was knocked out."
S-Sha slowly sat, still groggy from the share crystal being freed. But it was doable.
"That supervisor is dead," S-Sha hissed, her eyes taking a deathly gleam. "I need to get back there, finish her. But."
A cruel smile appeared on her face. "If that thorn appears. I take care of her."
While it wouldn't be recommended to kill that goddess now, given she is connected to the share crystal. But she has a sense it won't matter. Things have spiraled out of control. It is time to restart.
They did it once, they will do it again. Only it will make things harder. Still, it is better than trusting that goddess.
To be continued.
