"Tell me you can get us inside the cave."
Hades asked Rashid completely flustered by seeing Maleficent in her dragon form.
"What? You said we couldn't go in there."
The man of Wonders whispered as low as possible.
"Do you take everything literally? Just go away with us now."
(...)
"Your destiny is intertwined with your mother's." The Moirai continued talking about the future. "Mal. Mal. Save them all, Mal." Their laughter was like an unbearable sound in his ears.
"Mal!"
As if out of a trance, she found herself being shaken by Rashid.
"Where are they?"
"They left, they're like that. They just drop the bomb and then disappear."
Hades replied, while looking at the gigantic creature.
"What are they doing here?"
"There's a monster outside." The blue haired man explained. "A monster that spits fire, destroys everything and is very very scary."
"He means your mom."
Rashid tried to explain that the monster so scary was Maleficent.
"What?"
"It's your mother in dragon form."
Rashid showed the dragon. Mal who had never seen his mother like that had to say he found it impressive and frightening.
"How did she get in here?"
"I would love to know, does she know we are here?"
"No, I don't think so." Rashid commented. "That's not the problem, as far as I'm concerned Maleficent can destroy this place, as long as I, I mean we, are not here."
"Wait, this is Hades here." Mal and Rashid looked at him with arched eyebrows. "I know, we're more important."
"What are we going to do? Fight her?"
Mal asked.
"No, you're not that strong, Hades has no power and I, not even if I could do something."
While Mal and Rashid were talking, Hades noticed that Maleficent, despite being in her most powerful form had not destroyed anything yet. It was then that he thought, she did not wish to destroy, the evil fairy wanted him. She wanted to destroy him.
"I have a plan."
Hades said turning to them.
"Plan?" Rashid asked. "My powers have limits, Hades, I can't disappear from here to the top, this is way beyond Wonderland."
"Easy, I won't need you."
"What's your idea?"
"The boat is on the other side, I distract Maleficent and you two teleports to the boat, can you do it Pumpkin?"
"Even the boat can be."
"Why doesn't Rashid take all of us?"
Mal asked.
"She would see you and can't face Maleficent now."
"Ready?"
Hades asked looking mostly at his daughter.

Maleficent studied the place intently, expecting more from the Overworld. With a simple spell she entered thinking that at least she would be greeted with better security than a pet dog. As a dragon, she was both powerful and vulnerable, so she took her time analyzing the place.
Hades had done a lot of advertising for a place that wasn't even that scary. Hades was just like her ex-husband, just mediocre. Having seen death a few times throughout her life, she avoided knowing what would happen when the magic left her body and she died for good, but, now finding herself lost in the Underworld, she wished she had at least paid attention when her ex-husband talked about this place.
Hades took a deep breath again and again, before picking up a stone and throwing it at the giant dragon.
"Oh hey, you miss me." Even from so far away Hades could see the green eyes turn into two blossoming light bulbs. "You stay away for sixteen years and this is how you greet me? Frustrating."
"Shall we?"
Mal asked Rashid, who couldn't take his eyes off the fight.
"Yes." As usual he hugged her and disappeared with them. "Where then the oars?"
As they talked they also watched a puff of smoke appear and envelop the dragon.
"Is the little monster going to fight or hide behind a dragon?" Hades asked tiring of running so as not to let her fire turn him into barbecue. "Not that I don't think you look much better that way, but you know, my kingdom my rules." He didn't know if he did right or wrong, but in a moment he saw the dragon disappear and Maleficent appear.
He couldn't help but be impressed, he hadn't seen her in years, she hadn't changed that much.
"Hello." With her traditional black outfit, her cape dragging on the ground and her scepter. Her eyes lost their sparkle, yet Hades trembled inside. "You look so...old."
"Good to see you too."
He said, taking a break from the rush.
"Why don't I feel the same way?"
She said, running her hand around the scepter.
"Oh, my love, I always hoped that when we saw each other again, you would treat me with a little more affection."
That seemed to be the last straw for Maleficent, as the next minute a fireball shot towards Hades.
"You miserable bastard!" She said, putting all her wrath into that flame. "You despicable human."
"If it's any consolation, I lied, I didn't want to see you. In fact, I didn't miss you at all."
He looked back to make sure Mal and Rashid were gone and when he did he was greeted by a spell.
Flashback
"You're the Evil Fairy!"
Hades said excitedly, as they walked through the streets of the Isle of the Lost.
"People call me Maleficent for a reason. And what have you done that's interesting to be here?"
"Let's just say, I kidnapped my brother's son."
"Zeus? You kidnapped Zeus' son?"
"Yes, and turned him into a demigod, he would have become mortal if my servants weren't so incompetent."
"You've gotten a little more interesting Hades."
"She hurt him Rashid."
Mal spoke to his friend and took a huge spurt when he saw the green energy charged wire hit his father.
"He'll be fine, we can't go there Mal."
He said, though he knew Maleficent's magic was not known for being painless.
Hades screamed in pain and squirmed on the floor.
"You don't know how pleasurable this is for me, worm."
"And I so admired the Evil Fairy."
He laughed, even though the pain was unbearable.
"You have no idea who you've messed with."
"Worse I know, that's why I left." Maleficent just slammed the center of it into his face. "You were once a bit interesting, Male."
"Don't call me that!"
"Rashid, she's going to kill you!"
"Mal..."
"We can't watch this."
"You disappeared, like a coward." Maleficent spoke angrily and squeezed the wound even tighter using the center. "Left me alone with a daughter. Your luck Hades is that I never loved you."
"At least on that, we agree. You are impossible to love, Maleficent, you make it impossible for anyone to love you." He confessed. "I tried and you know I did everything I could to love you, but you wanted to remain as you were."
"Do you think that of all the people in the world, you, the reject of Olympus, would be the first person I would love in decades?" He laughed and his laughter echoed. "Never Hades, never would I love you.
"I have never been so honored, my little love."
He spoke, but soon his tears of pain appeared as it was getting harder to breathe.
"Finally, I will end the former god of Olympus." Spoke bringing a strong spell into his head. But just as she was about to cast it, a flame very similar to her own hit her making her fly. "Mal?" With blurred vision she saw something that looked like her daughter.
"Get her out of here." Mal asked Rashid regarding his mother "Hey, how are you?" Asked coming close to Hades
"Happy to be in the Underworld, so death will be faster."
"Don't say that."
He said, putting his head on her lap.
"Kid, have you ever been stepped on by a huge dragon? If so, the pain is much worse. What's in that scepter?" Hades complained feeling a lot of pain. "I shouldn't be here. it doesn't make my death in vain."
"You're not going to die."
"How is he?" Rashid asked and Mal took his hand away from the wound for his friend to see. "You'll be fine."
"Can't lie orange thing, keep an eye on that horned shrew, please."
"Okay."
"Hades you can't do it to me."
Mal told him
"Hey, you can do it, you made it for sixteen years without me."
"But, I didn't want to."
"I'm sorry."
"Dad." It came out low, almost inaudible. "Please." His crying came and he couldn't contain it.
"I really wanted to hear you say that."
"I can't lose you again."
"We'll always be together. When the sun's glare crack."
"it's time to come back..."
She said, not sure what that sentence meant.
"Always together."
He spoke squeezing her hand.
"I need you."
