Hey y'all, it's gothchic finally back with Chapter 26 of Silver's Skater Girl! I've been having a lot of technical difficulties in the last couple months, along with some personal issues that have prevented me from being able to write and post my new chapter. Sorry about the wait to anyone who's been looking forward to an update.

This chapter continues to deal with some serious topics, and will be labeled as such with trigger warnings. I've also made small changes to certain things to fit the story better, so I hope you guys enjoy!

Originally, I had intended for this chapter to be longer, and include more, but when I realized how much detail I wanted to include in all the scenes, I knew it was too long and needed to be split into two different chapters. So I already have the plot for the next chapter planned out, I just need to actually write it, lol.

Thank you to axeleor49 for following and favoriting since my last update, I appreciate you supporting and enjoying my story. Thank you to everyone else who enjoys and supports my story as well, you guys are awesome :)

Disclaimer: gothchic6 does not own Pokémon, she only owns her OCs!

Anyways, here's Silver's Skater Girl: Chapter 26: Confessions Of A Teenage Dumpster Fire:

*Silver's POV; Ecruteak City; 7:00pm*

*Trigger Warning: Sexual Activity*

My day just couldn't have gotten any worse. Morty laughed in my face when I threatened him to stay away from Calypso, the pompous blonde prick. I even challenged him again and slaughtered his team, but that didn't even faze him.

"You know, for such a confident battler, you are really insecure in your love life," he taunted me, "If I wanted to date Calypso, I would've already asked her out. But I'm not some douchebag in his twenties who dates underaged girls to make him feel better about himself. I'm better than that. But if you're enough of a man to confront me and defeat me again, then why aren't you enough of a man to tell her how you feel, or that you care about her?"

His question stopped me in my tracks. It's the same question I'd been asking myself for the last couple of days, and I still hadn't found the answer. Why was I so strong at everything but this? Why had desire, of all things, hijacked my brain and made me unable to function? I should've been better than this!

"I knew it. You're afraid to show emotional vulnerability. You have abandonment issues, and you've always had to rely on yourself, so the fact you're relying on her for anything scares you because it's something you're not used to," Morty said to me matter of factly.

I took a swing at Morty, shouting, "You know nothing about me, you self righteous prick!"

Right before my fist made contact with his face, he blinked his eyes, and my body involuntarily seized up. I tried to move at all, but it was like something had frozen my body.

"Are you done acting like a petulant child," Morty asked me condescendingly, as if I were a five year old. I really wanted to smash his face in, but I had no choice but to nod and comply. He released my body, and the after effect of whatever the fuck he did to me made me extremely dizzy and tired.

"What the fuck did you do to me, you piece of shit," I demanded to him angrily, not being able to kick his ass because of how sick I felt.

"You tried to attack me physically, and I defended myself accordingly. Nevermind how I did it. But if you know what's good for you, I think you'll leave my friendship with Calypso alone. I am merely her friend and her psychic abilities mentor, and you need to respect that. Now get out of my gym," Morty demanded, and I left, scowling the entire way.

I felt so sick afterward that I headed straight to the Pokémon Center to get a room there to recuperate. There were several times where I almost threw up, cursing Morty's name the entire time. Once I felt well enough, I slept for a few hours. After I woke up, I purchased a dinner of ramen from the Ecruteak Ramen Shop a few doors down to try and soothe my stomach.

Now I'm sitting outside in Ecruteak City, my Haunter right beside me, tormenting the few pipsqueak Rattatas circling around the front of the Burned Tower. I laze about, waiting to get the energy to get up and leave for Mahogany Town, when I notice something in the sky.

As the figure comes closer, I recognize it as Calypso riding on what I believe to be a Honchkrow. How in the Distortion World did she find a Dusk Stone to evolve her Murkrow? Those things are ridiculously expensive and rare.

I scramble to get out of her eyesight, heading left into the woods on the perimeter of the city. I sneak around until I see her land in front of a single story house near the Burned Tower, so I get into the perfect position to observe.

Her kimono, which was perfectly tight before, is now loosely wrapped around her, slightly revealing her midriff and black bra. Her hair is a lot more messed up than usual, and several bruises on her arms suggest that she's been out battling all day. I growl to myself when I realize I find this look on her kinda hot. I withhold a groan when I feel a rush of blood down below, and I start to feel uncomfortably warm.

Apparently she feels my eyes on her, because her eyes dart over to where I'm hiding up in this tree, and though I know she can't see me, I know she knows I'm here. Shit.

"I don't fucking need this right now," Calypso snarls aloud, "I barely have the energy to carry my tired ass home, let alone to find whoever the hell is watching me like a fucking creep!"

I keep completely quiet, not wanting her to figure out where I am. I see her sigh and shake her head before she heads inside the house.

I'm guessing this is her home, since she said she was from Ecruteak City originally. I can't resist making a mad dash towards the house, diving into the bushes to do some casual observation. I hope the noise I made was minimal, so Calypso doesn't realize I'm here.

I raise my head slightly, trying to find a breach in the curtains. When I finally find one, I'm pleasantly surprised to figure out that it's the window to Calypso's room. Perfect. Now I wait.

It takes fifteen minutes of waiting until Calypso finally comes into the room. To my horror, most of her Pokémon follow behind, including her huge Typhlosion, Honchkrow, Floatzel, and Ampharos. I hope none of them are able to sense my presence, or I'm in some deep shit.

Thankfully, her Pokémon are tired enough that they just lay down in her room, slowly falling asleep. As long as I don't make any loud noises, I think I should be fine.

Calypso spends around five minutes in the bathroom before she comes back out. My heart almost jumps out of my chest when she starts stripping, throwing her clothes in all directions.

She's finally just in a black bra and a lacy pair of black panties, and I've never been more turned on. I have the intense urge to pleasure myself while I watch her undress, indulging in a fantasy I never thought would happen.

She unhooks her bra, revealing bouncy, pert breasts, with dark pink nipples. They harden upon contact with the cold air, and I can feel myself getting closer to completion down below. I keep the fire alive, stroking it gently but steadily.

To my disappointment, she doesn't remove her panties, but she starts putting on a thin tank top and sleep shorts. This doesn't deter me from finally finding release, and I whisper her name as I finish.

After I finish, I lay down in the bushes, thinking about how I'm going to try to tell Calypso that I care. I've never cared about someone in this way, and telling her that I *blegh* love her scares the fuck out of me. Love is weak. Love leads to pain. So, why then, is it strong enough to distract me from my ultimate mission? That's what I don't understand. Why would I of all people need love?

My father didn't need me. He didn't love me, either. And vice versa. He thrived on hate and power. Is there some way that love could possibly be stronger than hate? I doubt it. But crazier things have happened.

I go to sit back up, but my back accidentally hits the front of the house, making a small noise. Hoping no one heard anything, I try to sink further into the bushes, attempting to hide my bright hair in plain sight.

I look back in the window slightly, and Calypso is closer to the window than ever, her bed across from the window, and I can see her almost up close. I see the mark on her neck I made yesterday, feeling proud of it. But, to my astonishment, there is another mark equal in size to mine almost right next to it. And I'm 99% sure that I only gave her one hickey. So if I gave her one, who gave her the other? Morty, that lying son of a bitch!

"Friend and psychic mentor, my ass," I whisper sarcastically to myself, "I'm going to stab that son of a bitch in the fucking ribs."

I go to leave to massacre Morty when I hear a shuffling to my right. I look over, and a tiny woman with shaggy black hair is staring at me, a look of suspicion in her dark brown eyes. Realizing that someone has noticed me, I let my Golbat out to fly me away to Mahogany Town. Things don't go as I plan though, since a large Arbok comes out from out of nowhere, using its Glare attack to paralyze both Golbat and I.

I try to feebly escape, but the paralysis leaves me unable to move. I know it takes at least fifteen minutes for Pokémon paralysis to fade on humans, so there's no point in me fighting. I just throw my captor my death glare, clearly expressing my displeasure about this situation.

"So you must be Silver," she starts out, and I'm shocked that she knows who I am, "I'm Tina, Calypso's parent. We need to have a little talk."

I stare her down, hoping to intimidate her, but she matches my gaze intensely. After a moment of silence, I reply indignantly, "How the fuck do you know my name? And I'm not saying a fucking word to you. Especially not about Calypso."

I don't care what she says, I'm not saying a fucking word. I don't need my business spread out all over the place. I like my privacy in my personal life.

"Oh, trust me, you're gonna talk. Or I'm gonna have the Johto Police Department pick you up right here. I've already caught you trespassing, and being a peeping tom, and I don't think you need more criminal charges added to your record. Do you understand your place in this situation now," Tina threatens me, and I know this threat is real by the sinister tone in her voice. Despite being ridiculously small, she has the voice of somebody who knows how to get people to do what she wants them to do. This suggests she has a rougher background than she appears.

I can't risk being sent to prison, so I grudgingly respond while still glaring, "...Fine. What the fuck do you want to know?"

The mischievous smile on her face tells me I'm in for a wild night.

*Tina's POV; Ecruteak City; 7:45pm*

I knew something was happening outside of Calypso's room, and what did I find but Silver, Calypso's rival/crush, peeping into her window! The pervert! We had a brief altercation where he tried to escape, and I told him there's no point in trying. I'm gonna make this boy spill some tea.

After I threatened him, he resigned himself to his fate, replying hesitantly, "…Fine. What the fuck do you want to know?"

Now I have him exactly where I want him.

"You gotta know that peeking in a girl's windows never makes you look good, buddy," I start out, "So what in the Distortion World do you think you were doing?"

He grits his teeth, suppressing a growl, before responding dryly, "…My brain won't shut up about her. My dream is to be the strongest Pokémon Trainer ever, and before I met Calypso, I was wholly focused on that dream. Now that she's in my life, it feels like I've lost control of it. She's all I can think about. It's driving me crazy, and making me question my own values. I don't know what to do to make it stop."

I am astounded by his answer, but I press on for more information, asking him, "What do you mean, questioning your own values? And sexual tension is one hell of a drug, but you shouldn't let it make you do anything either of you will regret."

I guess this is a touchy subject for him, because he looks like he's starting to get sick. But he manages to force an answer up, his voice almost cracking as he says the next part, "She's making me question whether I believe in love, and whether I'm capable of it. I've never felt emotions like this for any other person before, so I have no idea what the fuck I'm doing. I've been raised on hatred and power, so I never believed that love could be so powerful. Now I'm starting to wonder if I'm wrong, and if I am, what do I do about it?"

Silver word vomits this up quickly, and when he finishes, he looks up at me in horror, realizing he spilled his guts to a random stranger. I can tell he's not used to this kind of emotional vulnerability, but I'm glad to be able to try to be there for him. I get the feeling that he hasn't had anyone to have his back and just listen to him vent in a long time, or maybe ever. Where are this guy's parents? I guess I'm his mother now.

"Silver, if Calypso is making you question your core values for the better, then it's obvious that you care about her a great deal. I can tell you're not used to this, and I've been in similar situations in my past. I'm not going to tell Calypso any of this because you kids need to figure out your emotions and your hormones on your own terms. But, if you want my advice, Silver, you need to figure out how you really feel about Calypso, and if you figure out you love her, you need to tell her and show her you care about her. She already thinks you're hot, and that you're a great battler, so you got a good chance at this, my dude. But you need to stop doing this creepy stalking shit and threatening other dudes who are close to her. That's red flag behavior, and it doesn't look good at all," I reply with the best advice I can muster, hoping I can help him at least a little bit.

He looks pissed off that I called him out on his creeping, but he swallows it, and nods for his own sake.

"I know you like her, but threatening Morty wasn't cool. He's like 22, and she's 17. It would be gross for him to even ask her out. He's more like an older brother to her, if anything, and her psychic mentor. You need to chill," I continue to lecture him a bit.

He raises an eyebrow at me, and responds sardonically, "Humph, that's what you think. When I was looking in at Calypso a little bit ago, I noticed a mark on her neck that's next to the one I gave her yesterday. I only gave her one mark, so where did the other one come from? It had to be from that asshole, Morty!"

When he realizes he admitted to giving her a hickey, his eyes widen again, anticipating my reaction. I smirk and chuckle aloud, saying, "You kids and your hormones. I remember being crazy like that."

Turning serious again, I continue on, "But Morty would never dare touch Calypso like that, not if he knows what's good for him. You are within a year of her age range, so your relationship is actually socially appropriate. Besides, I think Morty knows if he ever expressed sexual interest in Calypso, I'd fucking kill him."

"Well, if Morty didn't give her the mark, then who did? I only gave her one, so somebody had to give her the other one," Silver states sternly, and I can tell he's still pissed off.

"Honestly, I have no idea either. She's only told me about the stuff she's done with you," I explain to him, "I had no idea it was there." I'm honestly wanting to know that myself. But I'll have to wait until Calypso tells me.

His expression doesn't change any, the irritation apparent on his face.

"This is a given, but I'm gonna remind you, if you hurt Calypso at all, I will hunt you down and kick your ass. She's already had enough people fucking around with her life, and she doesn't need you doing it too," I continue, warning him, and his expression softens lightly.

"I certainly understand that. What her grandmother did to her is horrible. I don't blame her for hating her so intensely. She hates that woman more than I hate my own father, which I never thought was possible. I think that old bitch will get every single thing that's coming to her, if Calypso has anything to do with it. She definitely deserves it," Silver rants with unbridled passion in his voice.

Man, I wonder what his father did to him that he hates him so much? Well, I guess that's his business. What is my business is how much he cares about Calypso, and that seems to be quite a lot.

I pull out a Paralysis Heal out of my bag, using it on both him and his Golbat.

"I've heard everything I need to hear. You're free to go, buddy," I tell him.

He looks surprised when I heal them, getting up to tower over me, being a full foot taller than me at 5 '10". But he's looking at me with an odd expression, and I can't quite make out what he's thinking.

After a brief moment of silence, he says more humbly than I ever thought possible for him, "Thanks for the advice, Tina. I appreciate it. I'm heading to Mahogany Town to challenge the Gym Leader. Thanks for everything."

Then he flies off on his Golbat, and I return Serpentine to her PokéBall. Heading back inside the house, I feel satisfied at how everything went. I think that kid never has had anyone actually care about him, so he's never had a reason to care about anyone else.

"These poor kids have so many issues," I whisper to myself as I head to the kitchen to clean up from dinner.

*Third Person POV; Blackthorn City; 2:00am*

*Trigger Warning: Extreme Attempted Violence*

Ruth's paranoia about Chuck betraying her and possibly being caught by the police has been catching up with her. Donald and Monica noticed her frequent trips to the wine cellar all throughout the evening, and although they had also partaken, they noticed she drained almost two bottles of wine by herself. Even they thought it was a bit excessive.

Donald and Monica checked in with Ruth before they went to bed, but they could tell that something had happened to make her drink so much. Knowing they couldn't force it out of her, Donald and Monica wished her goodnight before going to bed themselves.

Ruth, left alone with her paranoid thoughts, allowed the negative emotions to fester, creating a storm of depression, anxiety, and chaos. She started sobbing quietly, steadily increasing in volume, until Donald and Monica heard, coming in to check on her.

"She's had way too much to drink, I can already tell," Donald whispers to Monica.

"Gran, are you okay," Monica asks as she goes to comfort the crying Ruth by rubbing her back. Ruth rejects her touch, almost hissing at her while shrugging her off aggressively.

"Don't fucking touch me, none of you fucking touch me! You're all traitors, all of you! I thought I could trust you… but I can't because you're liars, deceivers! Get away from me, I never want to see you again," Ruth suddenly screams at her, and Monica starts crying from the hurtful statement.

Donald instructs Monica to stay back while he attempts to figure out what's going on with Ruth.

"Gran… Can you hear me? It's Donald, are you doing okay? Do you need anything?"

Donald has no time to react when Ruth's eyes flash maliciously, and she reaches up to try to grab Donald by the neck. He quickly sidesteps her, and both he and Monica retreat to Monica's room, where they lock the door to protect themselves from her.

"Children, oh, children, where are you? I know you've been bad and ratted me out to the police. Now you deserve your punishment," Ruth asks them sinisterly in a singsong voice. This question terrifies both Donald and Monica, who both start to barricade the door for their own safety.

"Donald, I'm so scared," Monica says as she finds platonic comfort in Donald's arms, who's only happy to provide the emotional support despite also being terrified for his life.

"It's like she thinks we're someone else," Donald observes while hearing Ruth stomping through the apartment violently, "And if she doesn't, then there's definitely something wrong, because we didn't do anything to betray her."

"What are we going to do now," Monica asks Donald as they hear Ruth coming closer and closer to their door.

"I'm hoping we can wait it out here until she runs out of steam," Donald explains as Ruth starts attempting to drunkenly open Monica's door, "There's an entire dresser and a loveseat against that door, I doubt she's getting past that."

Donald regrets his words when Ruth starts to try and break the door down, making the both of them scream in terror. Donald and Monica both get up to push against the barricaded door, making sure that Ruth can't get through to hurt them.

"You evil little devil spawns, I knew you were no good! You're all liars, and you're going to rot in the Distortion World for your crimes! ROT," Ruth screams as she throws herself against the door.

After a few minutes of struggling, Ruth stops throwing herself against the door, and both Donald and Monica can hear her walk back to her room to pass out. They decide to wait a few minutes to make sure that she's passed out before they remove the barricades from the door.

"What do we do now, Donald," Monica says while still crying, "We have to meet with the executives in the morning, and I don't know if I'll be able to keep it together after all this."

"I don't blame you, I thought she was going to kill us! We should look into what exactly Ruth was arrested for so we know what we're dealing with. If she's willing to put me in a chokehold while she's shitfaced, Arceus knows what the fuck she did to Calypso," Donald replies back.

"I never thought I'd feel sorry for Calypso," Monica whispers to Donald, "but I wouldn't wish what just happened on anybody, even her. I think it's time to do some research."

So Donald and Monica slowly and quietly slip out of Monica's room, finding Ruth drunkenly unconscious on the living room floor. They pass by her without incident, heading towards Donald's room, where the two spend the rest of the night looking up Ruth's past…

*Joy's POV; Violet City; 4:00am*

*Trigger Warning: Flashbacks of Violent Attempted Sexual Assault*

I'm back in my worst nightmare, being accosted by the random male Pokémon Trainer in the Route 32 Pokémon Center.

I'm forced to relive everything as he takes no time in groping my body, and no matter how many times I spit on him or kick him in the balls, he won't stop. He taunts me viciously as he violates me, his rough touch sure to leave bruises all along my body.

I can see the sadism in his eyes as he laughs when I start crying and asking him to let me go. He grips my hair and pulls harshly, punishing me for daring to beg him to stop.

I struggle as he tries to remove my clothes, continuing to spit on him and kick him in the balls again to get him to release me. I'm only met with a backhand to the face. The impact makes me dizzy enough that he takes advantage and removes my clothing.

It's when he removes his clothing, and reveals his disgusting appendage he intends to use to defile me that I start screaming—

"Joy! Joy! Are you okay," a familiar voice breaks me out of my nightmare. I sit up suddenly and open my eyes, waking up in an unfamiliar place with Jenny Paige lying in bed next to me. Her eyes are wide in shock, and she exclaims in concern, "Babe, are you okay? You were screaming in your sleep! Did you have a nightmare?"

I can't get his devilish face out of my mind, and I burst into tears trying to erase it from my memory.

"I can't get his face out of my head, Jenny! Every time I close my eyes, I see his evil smirk and that look behind his eyes that tells me everything I know he wants to do to me," I cry to her, leaning my head to sob on her shoulder. She comforts me by wrapping me in her arms, and stroking my hair soothingly.

"I promise that scum of the earth will get what's coming to him, Joy. He's locked up in jail where he belongs, and if he gets out on bail, I'll make sure he regrets his entire life," Jenny assures me in a slightly sinister way that I feel bad for appreciating.

I can't help but sniffle and hyperventilate for a few more minutes before replying shakily, "Thanks, love, I just wish I could convince myself of that! It's like my brain is mentally stuck in that moment, and I just wish I could scrub it out of my head so I can pretend it never happened! The worst part is that my brain goes farther than he actually did, and makes everything so much more detailed than it ever needed to be!"

I hide my head in my hands, all of my thoughts being too overwhelming to deal with right now. Jenny doesn't say anything in response, just rubbing circles on my back in a comforting, repetitive pattern. I'm almost glad she's silent, I think having someone expecting me to feel better automatically after that would stress me out too much.

After a few minutes, I finally regain my composure and realize that we're in a place I don't recognize. When Jenny notices me looking around, she gets a worried look on her face.

"Oh yeah, I have something to tell you," she starts sheepishly, "after you fell asleep at the police station, I had an incident with my sergeant, who was going to write me up for going on the mission to help you. I got pissed off, flipped her off, and quit my job because she disrespected us and our relationship right after the assault."

My mouth drops open in shock, and when Jenny notices, she starts assuring me in a hurry, "Don't worry, we're at my sister, Jenny Charlotte's house. Her and her husband have agreed to take us in until we get back up on our feet as a couple."

Jenny Charlotte is just as generous as I remember her in the Officer Academy. I can't believe she'd just take us off the street. But with Jenny Paige being out of work now, how are we going to help Jenny Charlotte contribute to the household?

"I called your boss and told her what happened, and she said to take as long as you need off to recover. She says don't worry, they're fully paid days off, and that one of the new graduates this year is happy to cover for you until you're ready to come back to work. They really care about you at the Johto Health Department. I wish the Johto Police Department cared that much," Jenny silences my questions before continuing on,

"And don't worry, I didn't just do all of this without a plan. I want to become a berry farmer, just like we discussed before! I want to raise all types of berries and live off the money we make by selling them. We can sell them to restaurants, Pokémon food companies, Pokémon medicine companies, and so much more! This is everything I've ever wanted to do, and I want you to do it with me!"

Jenny looks at me with a passionate look in her eyes, and she slowly leans close to my face, silently asking for permission to kiss me. I accept the kiss gratefully, finding a sort of comfort in her scent and her taste.

"I'm excited for what you have planned," I admit to her after we break apart for air, "It's everything I've ever dreamed of as well, and I'd love to do it with you. But how are we going to do it without any land to do it on?"

Jenny gets this excited look on her face, and she replies quickly, "This old house is set on a property of 12 acres, more than enough to start a berry orchard. Jenny Charlotte said we can develop our business on her land in exchange for a small amount of the berries and the profits. She's also willing to let us build our own house on her land as well once we get the funds. She and I talked about it while you were sleeping earlier."

I think about it for a second or two before responding seriously, "You really seem like you know what you're talking about, love. I'm in, completely! Thanks for giving me something good to think about instead of that nightmare."

Jenny smiles sweetly before sliding over towards me to become the big spoon to my little spoon. She wraps her arms around my waist tightly, and I finally feel safe again. I can feel her breath on my neck, and I squeal slightly when she kisses my neck suddenly.

"I love you, Joy. Get some rest, babe, tomorrow is the start of a new chapter of our lives," Jenny whispers in my ear.

"I love you, too, Jenny," I whisper back before we slowly drift peacefully back to sleep.

*Calypso's POV; Ecruteak City; 8:00am*

You see, I never actually want to wake up before noon. However, the sun is not my friend, and likes to peer into my window to blind me into waking up like the sadist it is. Therefore, I am grudgingly awake at eight am.

I groan and pull the covers from off my head, ruffling my hair in all the wrong ways. When I go to look into the mirror, I decide that a shower is definitely needed before I head out on my journey, or else I will end up looking like a brown Tangela again.

I rinse off all of the sweat I gathered yesterday, the brown sugar body wash Tina bought for me overpowering the stink. After I get out, I use a blow dryer to style my hair in its regular shaggy style.

I decide to look through my drawers to see what Tina got me for clothes. Upon opening my drawers, I find a lot of Tina and my mom's hand me down clothes to choose from. I pick out a pair of black cargo shorts with a silver chain, and a dark purple crop top with a picture of a Misdreavus on it that exposes my midriff. My black combat boots complete the look, though I feel like I could use some accessories.

Walking out of my room, I find Tina drinking a cup of coffee peacefully in the kitchen while looking at a huge binder that I assume has to do with my court case. She compliments my outfit, and I thank her, followed by asking her if I can borrow some accessories and makeup. She obliges, telling me exactly in her room where to find everything.

I decide to borrow her silver studded belt, using it to secure my baggy shorts. I also find a few pieces of jewelry to wear, including a black ring and a silver choker. The final touch is heavy black eyeliner on my top and bottom eyelids, followed by a clear gloss on my lips.

I like this look because I think I look hot, but I also don't look too feminine or masculine. It kinda makes me look like Tina, and I like that.

I go back to the kitchen where I sit down with Tina at the table. She takes one look at me before starting to laugh.

"Wow, you really wanted to channel my style today, huh, kiddo," Tina giggles.

"Well, yeah, it's all your old clothes," I point out, "Mom's taste is a bit feminine for me, and your clothes are more up my alley anyways. They're comfortable and stylish."

"Well, I'm glad to know you think I'm stylish. Most kids think their parents' style sucks," Tina reasons with me.

Tina starts making breakfast, and she plops a cup of coffee down in front of me, with vanilla creamer, just how I like it. I look outside and see both her and my Pokémon eating breakfast in the yard. I guess she must have let them out for me earlier when I was asleep. A few minutes later, she sets down plates of country fried steak and eggs in front of both of us before sitting back down with me at the table.

I start to get nervous when I realize Tina is staring at my neck. That's when I remember that I was wearing concealer over my hickeys yesterday, and when I took a shower this morning, I forgot to re-conceal it! Fuck, fuck, fuck! There's no way I'm ready to tell Tina what happened yesterday. Well, here goes Operation: Avoid This Awkward Conversation At All Costs!

"So, Calypso, you were so tired yesterday that you barely told me how your day went! I know you got your Storm Badge, but did anything else interesting happen," Tina asks, trying to subtly interrogate me for information. Well she's not going to get it easily. Or at least the information I know she wants.

"Well, actually the Gym battle was really interesting, and I got some useful information for the court case for it," I start, and I can see Tina is surprised by this statement she wasn't expecting, "So apparently the Cianwood City Gym Leader, Chuck, was friends with, and was working undercover for Ruth the whole time. He accused me of burning Ruth's house down–"

"Which you promise me you didn't, right," Tina asks me skeptically, "Because if you did, I don't blame you for it all."

"Oh man, not you too," I exclaim exasperatedly, "I already promised Pharmacy Guy that I didn't do it, and now you too, Tina? Ugh, as much as I want to claim it, it wasn't my work. I have no idea who did it, but I want to hug whoever that person is."

"Okay, okay, I'm sorry, I believe that you didn't do it. It's insane and awesome that someone torched her place, though. Anyways, back to Chuck, the Cianwood Gym Leader. He was working for Ruth the entire time," Tina questions, my question leaving her on the edge of her seat.

"Yeah, apparently. From what Chuck told me after our battle, his mom, Lucy, and Ruth were friends, and Ruth also represented Chuck during a court case and got him acquitted, so he felt like he owed it to her to stay loyal. She fed him a bunch of lies about me and the case, claiming that the Johto Journal was posting propaganda about her.

When I presented him with actual evidence of her abuse, he completely changed his tune. The pictures, corresponding scars, and the article were more than evidence to convince him of Ruth's guilt. Apparently he knew that she, Monica, and Donald were in Saffron City, Johto, the entire time, and he called and ratted them out to the Kanto Police in front of me. It was one of the best experiences of my life, Tina," I finish, feeling a bit breathless from telling my story.

Tina perks up instantly at this news, "That's amazing news, kiddo! I'm glad to hear that we're one step closer to putting Ruth behind bars! So did anything else happen yesterday?"

"Ummm," I stall, feigning innocence, "Oh yeah, I went to the Safari Zone to catch some Pokémon, and I completed these two challenges from the owner. I thought he was going to give me something like a Nugget or something as a prize, but he gave me half of the company instead!"

Tina's eyes bug out in response, and she nearly spits out her coffee. "He gave you WHAT," she raises her voice to a near scream.

"Yeah, he says all I have to do is advertise for him, and he'll send me half of the profits. He doesn't have any family that wants to be involved in the Safari Zone business, so he created the challenges as a way to test who could take over for him as a partner," I explain.

This revelation leaves Tina speechless for a couple minutes, leaving me to eat my breakfast in peace without fear of being interrogated.

We finish our breakfast in silence, and I'm about to get up to get ready to head out when Tina addresses me again,

"So I found something interesting out yesterday, myself," she starts mysteriously, drawing me into staying and listening.

"Did it have to do with the court case," I ask inquisitively, but she shakes her head no, replying,

"No, actually, it had to do just with you. So Morty told me yesterday of a sinister redheaded boy who sneaked into his Gym and threatened him to stay away from you. He said he was really aggressive, and a strong Trainer who was able to beat him in battle. I'm thinking this might be your rival/lover, Silver," Tina confirms with me, and I'm flabbergasted by this news, slowly nodding my head up and down.

Silver threatened Morty to stay away from me? What in the Distortion World? The last time I saw him, I got the impression that he really didn't give a fuck about me. Did he somehow hear that I'm taking psychic lessons with Morty and get jealous? Arceus, what in the world is going on?

"I'm honestly in disbelief, because the last time we saw each other, he made it pretty clear he doesn't give a fuck about me, Tina. I honestly have no idea what the fuck that GingerHeadMan wants from me. He's so up and down all the time, and he sends so many mixed signals. What is his fucking deal, man," I finish in frustration.

"I honestly don't know either," Tina responds in an odd way I can't figure out, "Attraction, especially as a teenager, is a fickle thing to deal with. It makes people do crazy things sometimes. But be careful because it seems like he's kinda obsessive over you, and that can get really scary really quickly."

I am still so dumbfounded by Silver's behavior that it takes a second to formulate a reply, "Thanks, Tina, I appreciate it. I really don't know what to think about it right now, but I appreciate you for telling me. I think I'm gonna grab my Pokémon and head out for the day. Love you, Tina, great talk."

I go to get up but I'm stopped again when Tina half yells, "Calypso, wait!"

I glance at her expectantly, waiting for her to say something, and she mumbles out hurriedly, "Kiddo, are you sure there isn't anything you want to talk to me about?"

She's really digging hard for information, and I'm still not budging.

"Anything to talk about? We just talked about the entirety of yesterday! Now if you excuse me, I'll be heading off to challenge the Olivine Gym now—"

Tina interrupts me to cut in matter of factly, "Calypso, cut the shit. I know you have a new hickey on your neck! Now tell me the tea!"

She had to bring this shit up even though I've done my best to avoid it. Well, fuck. Time to deflect if I can.

"New hickey? No, this is from when I got freaky with Silver a couple days ago! New hickey? Tina, your radar is off," I respond nonchalantly.

She squints her eyes at me suspiciously before replying, "I don't think so, kiddo. The one Silver gave you two days ago is the one that's higher up on your neck, and it's already a yellowish purplish color because it's a couple days old. This new one still has a reddish inflamed look to it, and is just a purplish color, telling me it's a fresh hickey, probably from yesterday. Don't bullshit me, Calypso, I know my shit."

"Fuck, Tina, I can't get anything past you, can't I? Ugh, you're such a parent," I complain to her, "I wasn't really ready to tell you yet, but if you insist, I will."

"You know I'm just looking out for you, kiddo! I just don't want anyone to take advantage of you and how young you are! You don't have to tell me if you really don't want to, Calypso, but I'm here if you want to," she responds guiltily, feeling bad for not respecting my privacy.

"Honestly, Tina, I really don't want to talk about it now. I'm still trying to figure shit out, and any meddling by anyone else right now is just gonna make me more confused. Just know that I promise you I won't do anything irresponsible like getting pregnant or catching a sexually transmitted disease. I'm sorry if this makes it feel like I don't trust you, but this is something I need to figure out for myself. Please respect this boundary," I politely request of her, and to my relief, she drops it!

"I'm sorry, Calypso, I know I need to let you live your life and make your own mistakes. I just don't want to see you hurt anymore than you are, especially with your horrible childhood," explains Tina.

"Everyone gets hurt sometimes, Tina. You need to let me live my life and figure out things for myself, or else I'll never be able to. I promise I'll tell you everything when I'm ready, Tina. But, for now, I'm going to go challenge the Olivine Gym. I love you, and I'll be back later for dinner. See you, Tina," I say as I walk to my room to re-cover my hickeys with concealer and back to the backyard to grab my Team.

"You got this, Calypso, you know I'm rooting for you all the way! Go and beat this Gym," Tina cheers me on as I head out the door, and fly to Olivine City.

*Joyce Hutchinson's POV; Goldenrod City, Johto; 8:30am*

*Trigger Warning: Mentions of Bigoted Hate Speech*

Today is my first day of my character witness interviews for the Primrose/Marken case. I have several lined up for today, the first one being here in Goldenrod City. I've managed to get into touch with the parents of one of Ruth Marken's accomplices, Donald Kimble. I've invited them over for an interview that they said is sure to help build my case.

Two people walk into my office on cue, and when they greet me gruffly, I know they're my interviewees for the morning. I invite them in to sit down, and they do so, following me to my desk where I have my audio recorder set up.

I start the interview by asking for basic information about Donald and themselves, which they answer cordially. I find out that they are both in their mid fifties, and that Donald's mother works at the Goldenrod Department Store while Donald's father is a magnet train engineer. It's when I start talking about Ruth and Monica's involvement with Donald and their criminal activity that the conversation starts blowing up.

"That evil hag of a woman has been a horrible influence on my son," Donald's father, Robert, spouts out, "He was already very strange, very standoffish, and liked to spend too much time in his room for his own good! Then he gets into all of this computer and theater crap, and starts refusing to talk to girls! I just don't understand it!"

Donald's mother, Martha, adds to the conversation, "When Donald first brought that terrifying woman and that… promiscuous woman to the house, I was happy because at least he was going outside, and we thought he might be dating the younger woman. But then they all started drinking alcohol in the basement, and were just generally being nuisances. We knew they were bad influences when Donald revealed to us that he was… different."

I scrunch my nose at her last statement, and ask, "What do you mean, 'different?'"

"I mean, gay! A fairy type, etcetera, etcetera! We never taught him that that kind of behavior or lifestyle is acceptable! I mean, it's against the laws of nature and Arceus," Robert spouts his hateful opinions which horrify me.

"Sir, this is a professional interview for a legal court case, and I must ask you not to use derogatory or bigoted hate speech against anyone, especially the one of the subjects of the interview, your son! If this continues from either of you in any way, this interview will end swiftly, and you will be escorted out of the building. I don't put up with prejudice in my interviews," I threaten them to stop their bad behavior, but what they do next shocks me.

"If that's your opinion, then we won't need to be escorted out, we are leaving ourselves! I can't believe that the City of Goldenrod allows and encourages these types of abominations to exist! I'm complaining to the Indigo Plateau Government Agency about you, Joyce Hutchinson! You will hear from our lawyers," Martha spits at me before they abruptly leave my office.

I go and shut off the audio recorder, clearly not getting any more evidence from this interview. With nightmares like that for parents, it's no wonder that Donald Kimble ran into the arms of an accused criminal and became her accomplice. It seems like he would be better off with Ruth, as bad as it sounds. I almost pity the poor boy.

At least I got some kind of information from this interview, as bad as it went. I go to plan for my next interview, hoping it will provide more information than this one.

*Jenny Paige's POV; Jenny Charlotte's House, Violet City; 9:00am*

Once I made sure Joy was asleep peacefully, I gave her my Growlithe plush to hold onto so she feels safe while she's sleeping. It seemed to do the trick, as I was able to leave the room without her having any problems.

I see a note that Jenny Charlotte left me that says she went to a doctor appointment in Goldenrod City, and that she will be back later that afternoon. She says that she left waffle batter in a bottle in the fridge, and to help ourselves to any of the food. I love her, she's the best thing that's ever happened to our family, besides me, of course.

Her husband, Henry, works as the caretaker and groundskeeper of the Sprout Tower, so he's currently away at his job, which starts very early in the morning. They've been married for almost a year now, and I love their relationship. He's one of the ones who encouraged Jenny Charlotte to cut off our toxic, abusive family.

I grab my laptop so I can do what I came out here to do: cyber stalk Joy's assailant to find out all I can about him. I want to know all about him. I want to know where he lives, so if he gets released on bail, I can go and make him regret everything he did to her.

About a half hour of stalking later, and I've found out some interesting information. His name is Austin Greyber, and he is twenty years old. He is from Blackthorn City, where he lives with his real estate tycoon father, Brian, and his older brother, Justin. I also found previous police reports about Austin sexually harassing and assaulting other women in Blackthorn City, but all of them seem to have retracted their statements early on into the investigation. That seems suspicious. I need to do more digging.

I find more court documents, and what I finally figure out is that Austin's father, Brian, quietly paid off all the women not to press charges. It seems like Austin has been taking advantage of his dad's money and power for a long time to hurt women, but no more. I may not be a police officer anymore, but I am going to make sure that son of a bitch gets what's coming to him, no matter what.

The last thing I find is his current police report, the one for Joy's assault. I find out that he's being held in the Goldenrod City Jail with a bail set for 25,000 Poké. Definitely not too much money for Daddykins to bust him out easily. I have to keep on the lookout to make sure I know if he makes bail. If he does, I'm gonna make him regret being born.

*Calypso's POV; Olivine City; 9:30am*

I know it would only take like fifteen minutes to fly to Olivine City from here, but honestly, I've been going through some shit, and I think skateboarding the way will help me feel better about this whole situation that's been stewing inside me.

I haven't been able to skateboard lately because most of the routes or cities I've been in have been water or sand based, so I've been craving this like crazy. The wind blowing through my hair soothes my mind in a way that I've missed, and though it takes me like 45 minutes to skateboard through to Olivine City, I end up being glad that I took the scenic route.

Upon arriving in the city, I take the time to explore what I didn't last time, including talking to a Fisherman in one house, who gives me a Good Rod. When I finally feel ready enough, I head to the Olivine City Gym to face Jasmine, the Steel type Gym Leader that I helped previously.

I enter the Gym, seeing two Gym Trainers on either side as I walk up to Jasmine on the back battlefield. Neither of them seem to want to battle me for some reason, but it's when they talk to me that I realize why:

"Thank you for curing Amphy from his sickness! We hope you do well in your battle against Jasmine!"

I guess they're grateful for me helping out Jasmine. I'm grateful that I don't have any grunts to battle through before the Gym Battle.

Jasmine smiles warmly when I walk up to her. "Thank you for your help at the Lighthouse... But this is different. Please allow me to introduce myself. I'm Jasmine, a Gym Leader. I use the...clang! Steel type! ...Do you know about the Steel type? They are very hard, cold, sharp, and really strong! Um... I'm not lying! Normally, I would just challenge you for the badge, but I've recently taken on an apprentice, and they would like a chance to battle you before I do."

I guess my gratitude for no grunts came back to bite me in the ass. Whatever, more battles means more experience! Bring it on!

"I'll battle whoever, bring it on," I exclaim fiercely.

Someone steps out from a door that leads into another part of the Gym. As they walk closer, I realize instantly that I've met this person before. When we make eye contact, his look of anger and disgust confirms my assumption is correct.

"This is my apprentice, Rudy—," Jasmine starts but she is interrupted by both of us yelling at the same time, "YOU!"

Jasmine looks at us in confusion, replying, "Wait, do you two know each other?"

"This is the piece of garbage who promised to go catch a Bellsprout for me in exchange for trading my Onix, and then never came back! I waited for days! It wasn't long after that you found me and took me in as your apprentice, Jasmine! She's the worst," Rudy manages to say with clear hatred in his tone, and I'm guessing he got access to some allergy medication because his sniveling has greatly reduced.

"Okay, I'm sorry I left you hanging, Rudy. What happened was that I did catch you the Bellsprout, and then he got emotionally attached to me, and I couldn't bear giving him up! I didn't want to risk doing that to another Bellsprout as well. I'm sorry I never came back to explain that to you," I explain to him apologetically. I really was a shit to this kid, so I might as well apologize where the apology is due. I'm trying not to be such a shitty person anymore.

His anger and bravado deflates, and I don't think he expected me to apologize just like that. I see the shadow of a smile appear on his face before he goes steely again.

"While I appreciate and accept your explanation and apology, this is still just business. I need to challenge you whether we have personal history or not," Rudy says with a small amount of warmth in his tone.

"That's perfectly fine," I respond amicably, "I accept your challenge."

Jasmine referees for us, and Rudy announces that he only has one Pokémon to battle with, sending out his Level 32 Steelix. I know I still have to battle Jasmine after this, and that Steelix is a Steel and Ground type Pokémon, so I decide to use Zellie to attack Steelix's Water Type weakness.

"This is a one on one Pokémon battle between Olivine Gym Trainer Rudy, and Gym Challenger Calypso. The battle will end when one side's Pokémon faints! Now start the battle!"

"Steelix, start this off with Rock Throw," Rudy instructs his Steelix.

I know that Steelix has a high Defense stat, so Zellie and I decide to steer past that by using special moves, "Zellie, you start with your Surf attack!"

To Rudy's dismay, Zellie is a lot faster than Steelix, hitting him hard with her Surf attack, reducing his HP to only a little bit. Steelix counters with Rock Throw, but it only does a ⅕ of damage to Zellie's HP.

Rudy has this fear in his eyes that he knows he's done for. One last attack, and this is done, "Zellie, finish this with your Aqua Jet!"

"Steelix, hit it back with Iron Tail," Rudy instructs his Steelix, but Zellie is too fast. Her super effective Aqua Jet hits Steelix, making him faint instantly.

Rudy looks down at the ground, obviously disappointed by his loss, but then he glances back up to look me in the face passionately.

"That was one of the best battles I've ever had," Rudy can't contain the excitement in his voice, "I'm glad we got to have a battle on equal footing Calypso, I'm glad to know that you're a better person than I thought you were, and an even better Trainer!"

"Thanks, Rudy, I appreciate it. I'm still really sorry I didn't come back and explain myself to you. When it happened, I was in a really bad place, and I was still kind of a shitty person, and I treated you like shit. There's no excuse for that, and I still want you to know that I'm sorry. I'm trying to be a better person than I was back then, and I appreciate you for accepting my apology," I say with satisfaction in my voice.

"Well, now that that's over, we can move onto the main event," Jasmine jokes as she approaches me intimidatingly. For such a small girl, she has an imposing figure.

I heal my Pokémon before bracing myself to get ready for the battle ahead of me.

*Third Person POV; Blackthorn City; 9:30 am*

When Donald and Monica awaken in the morning, they are stunned to find the entire apartment in spotless condition, with Ruth beckoning them to come with her to the dining hall to get breakfast. They are astonished by her ability to cover up all of her damage from the night before, and her complete lack of acknowledgment of what happened between all of them last night.

Ruth is acting perfectly normal now, but Donald and Monica know what lies beneath that polished exterior. Their experience with her told them last night that she is, at the very least, extremely dangerous.

When they researched and dove into her past, they found she committed horrible, physical child abuse against Calypso, and they knew it wasn't below her to do the same to them. She is more than capable of it, if not more, they both think.

Unfortunately for Ruth, Donald and Monica have already discussed what they should do to get out of this potentially dangerous situation they're stuck in. They've decided that their best option is to try to talk Autumn Bridges without Ruth around, and ask her to help get Ruth sent back to prison in exchange for her replacing Ruth as manager, and earning her proceeds from the band.

Donald and Monica try their best to act calm and normal in front of Ruth, but they know that she knows something happened last night, and they can feel her suspicious glare on them, wondering what they think of her now.

The morning goes tensely, nobody really saying much to each other beyond simple pleasantries, until they start getting ready to go meet with the executives at 10:00am.

"Now, children, make sure you review your lyrics so you don't accidentally mess up in front of the executives," Ruth reminds them sternly, and both of them feel the pressure to perform perfectly, or else feel the wrath of Ruth.

"Yes, Gran," they reply in unison, neither of them wanting to piss her off. All three of them can feel the vibes shifting between themselves, but all of them choose to ignore it, the prospect of getting the chance to profit from their endeavor too tempting to pass up.

Once all three of them are in costume and ready, they meet Autumn Bridges at the door. She leads them to the Drago Records Building, and up to the top floor, where the executives are waiting for them.

Walking into the executives' large meeting room, the trio finds around eight different people sitting at a rectangular long table, with a regal looking woman wearing all black with blue hair heading the table. They also find a small stage, already set up with their band equipment and logo, all ready to go.

"Welcome," the regal blue haired woman in all black greets them warmly, her thick, velvety voice echoing in the large room, "I am Charissa Drago, and I am the founder of Drago Records. You must be Ricky Specter, Candy Miller, and Sandra Simpson, of the band, 'Beauty and the Beast,'" she gestures to us, "Please start setting up your equipment for a surprise live performance of your debut single. We've heard your edited music, but we here at Drago Records want to make sure our talent is actually talented. So we make everyone go through a live test performance before they are officially signed and offered their contract."

Charissa gestures to the rest of the people at the table, "The rest of the table consists of my most trusted colleagues in the business, and I brought all of them here today to judge whether or not you guys have the pure talent for us to go any farther with you. If you succeed, you will earn the terms of your contract as explained by Miss Bridges previously. We all wish you good luck and we're looking forward to your performance!"

Donald and Monica are extremely nervous, but they fight back their anxiety in order to set up their equipment, and start their performance.

Donald starts the music, a pre-recorded loud popish drum beat followed by his live heavy, distorted guitar playing, and a pre-recorded electronic keyboard with a synthesizer in the background. He gets a groove started, and it's at that point that Monica starts the vocals,

"I know I got a Sweet Scent,

But boy, you need to get bent,

You poison me, you're toxic,

But I heal myself with synthesis,

Boy I ain't your Chikorita,

Already told you that I don't need ya,

I've already evolved into Meganium,

If you don't fuck off, I'll solar beam ya,"

Monica dances seductively as she sings, drawing the attention of all the executives with her sultry body movements, but light and spunky voice. Donald follows and adds adjacent screams and growls where needed, and the song seems to be flowing well,

"I'll open a can of whoop ass,

Petal Dance, send your ass,

To sleep, with a sleep powder,

Reflect and light screen, half damage,

Bitch, I ain't no basic Bayleef,

Little fuck boi, you keep buggin me,

I'll decapitate you with a razor leaf,

Suck your life out with a leech seed,"

Ruth notices that so far, all of the executives seem to be liking the song, some of them visibly dancing in their chairs. Charissa seems to be enjoying the most, a warm smile on her face. Ruth sighs in relieved satisfaction. 'The kids are doing great! Maybe we'll all get out of this unscathed', she thinks as they continue the song,

"Bounce you back with a body slam,

Boy, you need to get a damn,

Life, safeguard mine,

Need aromatherapy for your mind,

Boy I ain't your Chikorita,

Already told you that I don't need ya,

I've already evolved into Meganium,

If you don't fuck off, I'll solar beam ya,

Bitch, I ain't no basic Bayleef,

Little fuck boi, you keep buggin me,

I'll decapitate you with a razor leaf,

Suck your life out with a leech seed,"

Donald and Monica start smiling when they notice the incredibly positive reaction to their live performance, starting to truly enjoy performing. Even Ruth seems to be in a good mood, they notice, but it's probably only because of their success,

"Knock me down, I'll overgrow,

KO you with a leaf storm,

I promise you I won't miss,

I got magical leaves, bitch,

I Ain't Your Chikorita,

Already told you I don't need ya,

Bitch, I ain't no basic Bayleef,

Little boi, you keep buggin' me,

I already evolved into Meganium,

If you don't fuck off, I'll solarbeam ya,

I ain't your Chikorita,

Yeah, yeah,

I ain't your Chikorita,

Yeah, yeah,

Bitch, I told you I don't need ya!"

The band's performance ends with a giant roar of applause from the executives' table. Everyone has risen out of their seats to clap for them, and the Trio can't feel more proud of how far they've come.

"Bravo, amazing! What a spectacular performance! One of the best live performances to play here in a long while! Congratulations, 'Beauty and the Beast', you have more than earned your place here at Drago Records! Here is your contract to sign," Charissa says as she walks up to them with a pen and their contract. All three of them sign it, making everything legally official.

"Okay, so your next step is to get together with Ronda in studio scheduling so we can schedule the recording of your debut EP. From there, we will go into editing and mixing, and then producing a final product. It was a pleasure meeting you guys, and I must say we're pleased to have you here at Drago Records," Charissa says as she steps up and shakes all of their hands before directing them to Ronda, and departing the room with the rest of the executives.

"I can't believe we made it through that test with flying colors," Monica whispers to Donald, "I just wish we'd gotten a chance to talk to Autumn."

"Me too," Donald whispers low enough that Ruth can't hear them, "I'm glad to be succeeding at this, but I wish our other endeavor was going as well."

"For sure," Monica replies.

Ruth hears what she thinks are Donald and Monica's voices, but they are so quiet that she can't tell if they're speaking or not. But her bullshit radar seems to be picking up a signal because something feels suspicious…

*Calypso's POV; Olivine City; 10:15am*

Jasmine steps up to challenge me, saying, "Don't underestimate me based on looks! My Pokémon are as hard as solid steel, and so am I!"

She lets out a Level 33 Magneton as her first Pokémon out of three. I send out Cyndi as my starting Pokémon, figuring that I can use her Dig attack to spare myself some firepower for later and take advantage of Magneton's 4x weakness to Ground.

"Magneton, start out with Thunderbolt," Jasmine commands.

"Cyndi, avoid it by using Dig," I respond.

Magneton tries to hit Cyndi with Thunderbolt, but she's too fast, digging into the ground below, where Jasmine and Magneton can't see her. She comes back up a second later, right behind Magneton, hitting it square in the face for an instant KO.

Jasmine recalls her fainted Magneton, singing praises to it before sending out her next Pokémon, a Level 33 Skarmory.

I switch out Cyndi for Baab, trying to take advantage of Skarmory's weakness to Electric.

"Skarmory, use your Steel Wing attack," Jasmine calls out to her Skarmory.

"Baab, start this off with your Charge Beam," I call back to Baab.

Skarmory is quicker than Baab, hitting him with Steel Wing for a small amount of not very effective damage. Baab responds with a super effective Charge Beam attack, eliminating Skarmory's HP by a little more than half, and raising Baab's special attack by one level.

Jasmine tries for her Skarmory to use Steel Wing again, but there's no point as another Charge Beam sends it falling out of the sky, fainted. Baab gains enough experience to grow to Level 32.

"I'm sorry, poor baby," Jasmine apologizes to her fainted Pokémon before narrowing her eyes at me seriously, "Properly tempered steel won't be made rusty by things like this!"

She finally sends out her ace, a Level 35 Scizor. I switch Cyndi back in as my final Pokémon due to the obvious type advantage.

"Scizor, use your Bullet Punch," Jasmine commands, and though Cyndi is faster than Scizor, Bullet Punch is a priority move, and it always goes first.

Bullet Punch hits Cyndi for a very small amount of HP as it's not very effective.

"Cyndi, finish this off with your Lava Plume," I shout out to her.

Scizor has nowhere to go as Cyndi explodes her Lava Plume on him. It hits him for all but one HP, his Sturdy Ability not allowing for instant KOs.

"Scizor, you got this! Use your Bullet Punch!"

Cyndi, follow it up with your Flame Wheel!"

Scizor hits Cyndi again with Bullet Punch but it doesn't matter as she flattens him with a powerful Flame Wheel, ending the battle. Cyndi grows to Level 37, and I give her back scritches in praise before recalling her for a good rest.

Jasmine recalls her fainted ace before walking up to me, brandishing a steel octagon shaped badge in her hand, "Well done…," she says as she places it firmly in mine.

I place the Mineral Badge in my badge case proudly, thanking Jasmine and Rudy for their time and effort. Jasmine replies gracefully,

"...You are a better Trainer than me, in both skill and kindness, especially in how you reconciled with Rudy. In accordance with League rules, I confer upon you this Badge. With that Badge, all Pokémon, including traded Pokémon up to Lv. 70, will obey you without question. Um... Please, take this, too…"

She holds out a TM for me to take, the shiny tone matching the color of my badge, "It is called Steel Wing. Your Pokémon will hit the target with its hard wings, occasionally raising the user's Defense..."

She blushes a bit, her true, shy personality coming out a bit from behind the bravado of battle, "Um... I don't know how to say this, but good luck…"

"Thanks, Jasmine, I appreciate it. From here, it's onto Mahogany Town to get the Glacier Badge from Pryce," I announce my up and coming plans to them.

"Hey, wait, Calypso," Rudy comes strutting up to me, "I want to stay in touch, and have a rematch when I'm stronger! Could I possibly have your PokéGear number?"

Surprised by his confidence and boldness, I grin brightly, and reply, "Of course, Rudy! You got some skills there, and if I ever need another good battle, I'll know who to ask!"

Glad to have rebuilt my burned bridge with Rudy, my exhausted team and I head out of the Gym. I ask Spirit to fly us back to Ecruteak because we're so fucking tired after all that battling. Once we get home, the entire team is eating a big lunch, and then taking a big nap.

*Lyra's POV; Route 34 Daycare; 11:00am*

I had a really strenuous day yesterday, so Professor Elm insisted I take the day off from Pokémon catching today. So I'm here at my grandparents' daycare again, leisurely enjoying my morning in bed. Yesterday I caught ten new species of Pokémon for Professor Elm, trained my Pokémon up several levels, and hung out all day with Calypso…

Speaking of Calypso, I'm still reeling from what happened between us yesterday… It was everything I've ever dreamed about! Too bad we didn't get enough time to go any farther, but I'm pretty happy with what we did do. Seeing her eyes roll in the back of her head while I brought her to pure bliss was more than magical… and everything in me wants to do it again.

But there's part of me that's wondering if doing this kind of stuff is ruining our friendship, but at this point, I don't think I want to be just friends with her anymore. I want more. I want her to be mine. And I know if I want that, I have to start making some serious moves because someone that hot isn't going to stay single for long.

I haven't told anyone of what's happened between us so far, but I think my grandma is starting to figure it out based on my vibes, and that kinda freaks me out. Grandma doesn't need to know about my sex life! Thankfully, Grandpa is pretty oblivious when it comes to these things, so I usually don't need to worry about him prying into my business.

Thinking about Calypso again makes me feel a tingling warmth beneath my covers, and I feel the need to take care of it until I hear my grandma walking into the room. Sheepishly, I raise the covers over my chest, not as if I'm hiding anything there, but rather hiding my embarrassment about the situation.

"Lyra, dear, I'm surprised to see you still in bed! Does the professor not have any tasks for you to do today," Grandma asks me as she enters the room.

"Nah, he said that for helping him out so much yesterday, I could take the day off today! So I'm just relaxing in bed," I say as I brush my hair over my neck, hoping it hides the faint hickey Calypso left on me yesterday. But when her sharp eyes catch my hands moving, I realize I should've known better, since Grandma is a master at observing body language.

"Young lady, what in the name of Arceus is that on your neck," Grandma says with her usual spunky attitude. I know she's just giving me shit, and that I'm not actually in any real trouble.

A heavy blush erupts on my face as I sputter indignantly, "Grandma!"

I go to hide it with my hand, but she manages to catch a clear glimpse of it, and makes a low pitched wolf whistle.

"Looks like you've been having fun," she remarks jokingly, and I groan in embarrassment, wishing this could be over. But my Distortion World is only getting started when she cackles to Grandpa who's in the kitchen,

"Herbert, come in here, and look! Our little Lyra has her first hickey!"

I groan louder, slapping my hand to my face in exasperation. Of all the humiliating things that could happen to me, this is in the top ten of the list.

"Ugh, Grandma, that's enough! It's bad enough that you know I'm sexually active, and now this? It's just too embarrassing for a seventeen year old girl to bear," I protest as I give her a playful glare.

Grandma snorts at me before closing the bedroom door and I can already feel the interrogation vibes. She gives me her usual little smirk she gives me before she asks for the tea.

"So… who are they, and how far did you get? You know you can always invite them over here for some fun in the hot spring!"

"GRANDMA!"

*Tina's POV; Ecruteak City; 11:00am*

I'm really worried that I tried inserting myself too much into Calypso's business, and now I've alienated her from wanting to tell me anything. I really hope that's not the case, but I can only wait until she tells me if she wants to. I need to give her space to be herself.

I've been working on organizing the evidence for the case to distract myself, when I hear the front door open.

"Tina, you in here," I hear Calypso's voice from the living room.

"I'm coming," I bellow as I walk to the front of the house to greet her.

"Look, Tina, I won," a proud Calypso brandishes her newly acquired Mineral Badge to me. It shines brightly in the candlelight of the room.

"That's awesome, kiddo, I'm so proud of you! That's badge number six now, right," I ask her.

"Yep, only two more to go before I can qualify for the Pokémon League and try to battle the Elite Four and the Champion! I'm so excited," Calypso gushes to me, and I'm honestly so happy for her and her progress.

"That's amazing, Calypso! Did you want a snack, or maybe some lunch or something," I offer her.

"Sure," she says pleasantly, and I'm glad she's in such a good mood. Such a difference from earlier.

She follows me into the kitchen, where I start making chicken wraps with a slaw and vinaigrette dressing. I also give her a glass of peach iced tea to go with it.

We start eating, and I can tell Calypso is ready to tell me something big by the look of anticipation on her face.

"Tina, I gotta tell you something," she confesses immediately after, and I nod, responding, "Yeah, you looked like you wanted to say something."

So Calypso tells me about how she and her female friend, Lyra, had a consensual sexual encounter in Cianwood City, and she even tells me she had her first orgasm. She has a heavy blush on her face as she's telling me all of this, but I'm glad she feels safe enough to want to tell me.

"I'm glad you feel safe enough to tell me, Calypso. Sorry if I tried to butt in too much earlier today," I apologize to her again.

She shakes her head, replying, "You're forgiven, Tina, and I'm sorry if I made you feel like I didn't trust you. I just had to figure out how to tell you before I actually could."

We sit in silence for a few minutes, finishing up our food, when I get a sudden ring from my PokéGear phone. I realize it's Paul, my associate director of the Dance Theater calling me! I pick it up instantly, hoping everything over there is okay.

"Paul, it's Platinum. Is everything over there okay," I ask him concernedly.

"Platinum, it's an emergency! All of the Kimono Girls' Pokémon are sick with a random illness, and no regular medicine we're using is working! Do you know anyone who has a stronger, more concentrated medication that might be able to help their Pokémon," Paul asks me in a panic.

"Pharmacy Guy in Cianwood City makes a medication called the Secret Potion that was able to cure the horrible sickness of the Ampharos of the Olivine Lighthouse," Calypso pops in helpfully, "You could see if that will work on them."

"Calypso, take care of the house, will you? I need to go to Cianwood City and pick up this medication. If you leave, make sure to lock up with the house keys in the junk drawer," I instruct as I get ready to fly to Cianwood to pick up this medicine.

"Yeah, I'll make sure everything's good here. Here's PG's address, it's all the way at the bottom of town, you can't miss it," Calypso says as she hands me the address and gives me a one-armed hug.

"Paul, I'm on my way to pick up the medicine. Tell the girls that help is on the way," I say to Paul before hanging up the phone and heading out towards Cianwood City.
