Well, it's been quite the summer so far. There were so many ideas I wanted to start, projects to make, stories I wanted to write, and new chapters to complete, but my inspiration went, "Nope!" Though, somehow, someway, I was able to write something. It was supposed to be longer, but all I got is drabble length of ideas. You can read the rest on the bottom. Enjoy!
Title: Stubborn Sight
Type: Story - 2 Drabbles - 100 Words Each
Summary: "I can see perfectly fine without them." He says right before he ran into the wall.
Date: July 20, 2023
.
Drabble 1:
"What do I do, what do I do?" Ran's call for him sounded the bells of alarm. She'd automatically put two and two together about his identity.
The professor's keep her distracted; now he needs to stay hidden. But what if she comes? He needs to change his appearance. Quickly he opens the desk drawer and drops the glasses.
Bump, his head's throbbing, eyes refocusing.
"Oh? Who's this?" She finds him, sees his face.
His eyes squint attempting to see her properly.
She stares for a moment.
"Kawaii!"
She didn't recognize him. Good.
But now, it's hard to recognize her.
.
Drabble 2:
Ran worries about their newest housemate.
Conan trips. He's just clumsy he says.
She asks if he's ever needed glasses.
He looks upset, "I can see perfectly fine without them."
He says right before he ran into the wall.
"Are you sure you'll pull this off Shinichi-kun?"
"Of course, I've gone without my glasses before."
It's true, but he's still regretting every second they're off his face.
Ran sighs, "Do you not like glasses, Conan-kun?"
"No, they're fine. I just don't need them."
Oh, such a stubbornness, refusing the truth.
She ends up scheduling an appointment to the eye doctor.
.
Idea: A world in which it's hard to imagine Shinichi without glasses since he needed them as a baby. But after shrinking into Conan, he needs to have no glasses for his disguise to work.
Sub-Ideas: Shinichi cannot see that well.
-Typing on a computer or a phone is no problem only because he memorized where the keys were.
-He may not be able to identify you by your face, but he sure can by the voices, the colors of clothes, etc.
-Everything is fuzzy and just blobs of color, so he may or may not have mixed up some items or condiments along the way.
-This is only temporary until he gets eye contacts.
-Squinting has become rather difficult NOT to do.
Those are all the random ideas I had so far. I'll eventually come back and add more? I tried making up a full story, but it really wasn't working out. For now, that's all, thanks for reading these drabbles! See you on another idea soon!
