It was evident that a strain was coming between the Potter and Dursley families once more. It seemed another generation of these families would spend in jealousy and hate for each other. And, it would have happened if a letter didn't come from Dudley's house. He apologized for his daughter's actions but Harry was adamant. He wasn't ready to listen to any apologies made by or for Mavis. He had endured a lot in the Dursley household and on no account he would let his only daughter become a victim of their abuse.

He would have gone on ignoring the letters if one didn't come from his aunt Petunia.

"To my nephew, Harry.

I am in no position to tell you to forgive us. But, jealousy has always been a strong trait in the Evans' family. And, I have passed on that gene to my granddaughter. I am sorry for everything that happened.

I am not asking you to forgive me but I beg you, Harry…I beg you, Harry, not to punish my granddaughter by separating her cousins. It will break her heart. It will create a rift between her and Melissa. Just like it happened with me and Lily. Don't let history repeat itself. Forgive my granddaughter…..She won't be able to live with this heartbreak.

Your aunt,

Petunia Evans."

Ever since Aunt Petunia had gotten a divorce from her husband, she had taken her maiden name.

Harry debated on answering the letter and the dinner invitation from Aunt Petunia and it was Lily who made him say yes. He had been sitting in the living room late at night when Lily came out of her bedroom to get a glass of water.

"Hi, dad." She grinned, sleepily. "Working so late?"

"Yes….I was just reading this letter from Aunt Petunia."

"Yeah, what does she want?"

"She invited us to dinner."

"Oh…Okay." Lily shrugged.

"So, you don't mind going?" He asked. "After what happened with Mavis?"

"No." She was holding her glass of water. "I don't mind."

"Really?" He was surprised. "After all that happened? You don't have a problem with her?"

"No, I don't." She took a sip. "Think about it, dad. She suddenly met her other side of the family and BAM!"

She put her glass down.

"Turns out, Melissa is not the odd one out. She's the one who is." Lily explained, "I mean I didn't appreciate being forced into that game….But, she was just trying to hold onto her sister."

"Oh……"

Harry hadn't thought about it this way.

"And, she apologized. Like a thousand times." Lily shook her head, "I am so over this drama and just…….just let Melissa and Mavis come over. I love Mel."

She put the glass back in it's place and went back to her room.

"Thank you, Lily." He said.

"For what?"

"For helping me make a decision." He smiled.

Sometimes, listening to kids was a good thing.

"Sure. Any time, dad." She grinned.

She went back to bed.

The Potters went to the Dursley house for dinner (The Potter men went reluctantly after what happened to Lily…..a girl most beloved and cherished in the family, especially by Grandma Weasley).

"Hello." James said stiffly as the door opened before he could ring the bell.

"Hello!" Martha said, brightly. Ignoring the rigid expression on James and Albus's face.

Lily elbowed them,

"Could you two be any more obvious?" She hissed.

"They are…."

"Lily's right, boys." Ginny said, "Behave, please. Put on a smile."

"Fine." James scowled.

"I said, put on a smile…" Ginny rolled her eyes, "Not a scowl."

"Fine." James fake smiled.

Lily giggled.

Dudley Dursley appeared at the door.

"Come in, come in!" He said.

He didn't look Lily in the eye or Harry. He was too ashamed. He avoided Ginny as well. It wasn't that Ginny would say something because she hadn't. She was smiling. But, he didn't know what it was…….that red-haired woman that was his cousin's wife, terrified him. He directed them into the living room,

"Dinner will be ready in just a few minutes." Martha popped out of the kitchen.

"I'll help." Ginny said.

Dudley wanted to say that she was his guest and should relax…have a drink. But, she was scary. And she had a wand. He hadn't forgotten what her brothers had down with the Tongue-Toffee almost twenty-five years ago. Ginny joined Martha in the kitchen and Dudley shouted,

"Girls, the Potters are here."

"Coming!" Melissa's voice came from upstairs.

A few seconds later, Melissa came down the stairs followed by Mavis who quietly came into the room.

"Hi," She said, her voice a whisper.

She expected anger. Screaming. But, nothing happened.

"I haven't seen your yard." Albus broke the awkward silence. "Show me around, Mavis?"
