As Ace walks in the door her phone rings, she looks at it smiling then see's the name, "hello Tegan."

"Hello to you too Ace, so you have an admirer."

"I do not."

"You so do, Graham likes you, he wants to kiss."

"Gordon Bennent Tegan, act your age."

"Do you want to get all smoochy smoochy with him?"

"We literally just met."

"Like that has stopped you before."

"When I was in my 20s maybe, I am in my 50s now."

"Did he ask you for your number?"

"He did."

"Did you give it to him?"

"I did, and my address."

"You go Ace, get the man."

"TEGANNNN!"

"My you are never this easy to rile up."

"I."

"You like him, you want to kiss him."

"I'm going now Tegan." Ace hangs up meanwhile in his flat in Sheffield Graham is still on the phone with Ryan.

"So then Ace and I ran into the TARDIS."

"Graham, you have been talking about Ace for the past half hour."

"I have?"

"So this Ace is?"

"She is."

"You finally say her gender. Are you moving on from Nan?"

"I don't know."

"I think you are, this Ace what else does she do?"

"You mean minus blowing up Daleks?"

"Yes, minus all the alien fighting."

"She runs A Charitable Earth."

"You mean Dorothy McShane."

"Yes, the one is the same."

"You fall for those who like to take care of others."

"I don't like her like that."

"Grandad you do, and it's ok. It has been 5 years. I want you to be happy. I don't know when I will be home, but when I do get home; I want to meet this Ace."

"You know the 4 of us, Kate, Tegan, Ace and I are going to start a group for all of us companions."

"When I get back I will join."

"Ok."

"Just give this Ace a chance."

"I will be her friend first."

"You didn't move slow with Nan."

"She was my nurse for 6 months before."

"Then get to know Ace."

"I am planning to; have a good evening Ryan."

"You to Grandad." They hang up. Graham walks around for a bit before picking up his phone and pressing on the new contact.

"Hello Ace."

"Hello Graham, how was your talk with Ryan?"

"It was good, we talk almost every night."

"That's nice."

"It is, so Ace, tell me something about yourself."

"I like Jazz music, I even met Courtney Pine, got his autograph, though it was destroyed by Cybermen."

"Sorry it was destroyed."

"That's fine, it was years ago."

"Would you like one again?"

"There are not many cassette players anymore, Graham. The boombox the Professor made me doesn't even work anymore."

"Speaking about alien stuff, is your bag larger on the inside?"

"Maybe?"

"What did you do?"

"Not long after I got on the TARDIS, I somehow convinced him to alter my bag."

"You can convince anyone to do anything can't you?"

"I don't know about that?"

"I think you can, you are Ace."

"Wow Graham wow."

"What?"

"The jokes with my name?"

"You don't like me doing that?"

"Not really no, the only other to do that was well you know Who."

"Oh, I can try and not do it again."

"No it's ok, it just reminds me of the past."

"All good I hope."

"Mostly good."

"I wish it was all good."

"My time on the TARDIS has some of my best memories from when I was younger."

"Really."

"Yeah, I didn't have a good relationship with my Mum and my Dad ran out on us when I was little."

"I am sorry to hear that."

"It's ok, though I do have a brother, my Dad took him with him, because he was just a baby and it was too hard to get me."

"I would."

"Graham?"

"Yes?"

"You don't need to say that."

"I know, I just find you cool."

"You haven't even known me for 24 hours yet."

"What can I say? I am a good judge of character, and if I know the Doc, they wouldn't have let you have Time Lord tech, if they didn't trust you."

"I know, some looked at us like Father and Daughter."

"Man, I wish I could've seen that."

"No you don't."

"If there was a way to see you more."

"There is Graham, I don't think I have much going on this week at A Charitable Earth. All I have to do is get the paperwork into Kate about the paintings, the Master and blowing up Daleks."

"Kate will probably call me to get my statement right?"

"Yes, she will."

"I guess I should get my thoughts straight," Graham sighs.

"How did you get to the volcano?"

"I got a message to look in my mailbox on the psychic paper that there was a thing that would transport me to a volcano and that the Doctor needed my help. Little did I know I would meet a woman that was alluring."

"Oh I am alluring, am I?" Ace laughs at how Graham stutters not realizing what he just said.

"I mean."

"Oh no you can't take it back, you are the one who also called me beautiful this afternoon."

"That's true you are beautiful."

"You aren't half bad looking yourself, Graham."

"Really?"

"Really." They laugh. "Now Graham, what is something about you?"

"When I was younger I wanted to be a comedian."

"Why didn't you?"

"I wasn't getting any laughs."

"I find that hard to believe."

"Why is that?"

"Even though we have known each other for," Ace looks at the clock, eyes going wide, she does the math, "16 hours, 3 of which we have been talking on the phone."

"You are fun to talk to Ace."

"Thank you, but I think I should let you go. There will be paperwork to sign tomorrow. If Kate contacts you, come by mine."

"I will do just that."

"Good see you maybe tomorrow then."

"Maybe. Bye Ace."

"Bye Graham." They hang up and Graham gets up back cracking from how he was sitting on the couch and walks over to the fireplace and looks at the picture of his wedding to Grace.

'I feel like I am moving on. I feel conflicted. I still love you Grace, but there is something about Ace, I can't explain it. You would probably like her too, from what little time I have spent with her I have learned she is fearless, and you told me one day you would love to meet Dorothy McShane. Well Ace is her.' Graham moves away from the mantle and heads to the bedroom after locking the door and goes to bed.
