Seaward Cave and Kala'e Bay
The next morning, the group went to the cafeteria and had breakfast. After they finished eating, they grabbed their backpacks and exited the Pokemon Center.
"Well, fellows. Shall we get head back to Melemele Island so we can explore Seaward Cave?" asked Edd.
"Yeah. I really need a water Pokemon so I can use my Waterium-Z." said Ed who didn't have any luck finding a water Pokemon at Brooklet Hill the previous day.
"I want to see what other Pokemon could be there." said Sarah.
"Very well. Ed, perhaps if we rode on Stoutland, we could get to Heahea Beach quicker." said Edd.
"And then we can Mantine Surf!" said Eddy excitedly as he enjoyed Mantine surfing. Ed takes the Ride Pager out of his pocket and releases Stoutland from it. The group climb onto Stoutland, and it ran quickly. After over ten minutes of riding on Stoutland, they arrived at Heahea City. After returning Stoutland to the Ride Pager pokeball, the group went to the Heahea City Pokemon Center to change into their swimming attire. After they did, they went to Heahea Beach where they saw several Surf Mantines near the shore. They each climbed onto one and they began riding towards the direction of Melemele Island. After ten minutes of surfing, they arrived at Big Wave Beach of Melemele Island.
"Here we are again." said Edd. The group then walked out of Big Wave Beach until they reached Route 2. After several minutes of walking, they arrived at the entrance to Melemele Meadow.
"These flowers look just as pretty as they were when we first came here." said Jimmy.
"I'll say." said Sarah.
"So, where's this cave, Double-D?" asked Eddy.
"I'll show you where it is." said Edd. He leads the others through Melemele Meadow to where the cave entrance is. They crawled through it until they reached the cavern Edd encountered Zossie and Dulse. "This must be Seaward Cavern."
"Oh boy, oh boy." said Ed as he runs down the path.
"Wait for us, monobrow." said Eddy as he and the others chase after Ed. They stop at a large pool of water.
"Perhaps we could ride on Lapras on this." said Edd.
"Great idea, sockhead." said Eddy. Ed releases the Ride Lapras from the Ride Pager into the water, and they climb onto it. As they rode around the water, Edd takes out the Rotom Dex and looks at the map app.
"You know fellows, if we go down Seaward Cave, we will reach a place called Kala's Bay. Perhaps we can find more Pokemon there." said Edd.
"Sounds good to me." said Sarah.
"Maybe we can fish up more Pokemon." said Jimmy.
"Or maybe more stuff we can sell for loot like those pearls we found at Brooklet Hill." said Eddy.
"Yeah." said Sarah. Ed was looking around the water when he sees a shadow in the water. Ed looks at the shadow and a white, seal-like Pokemon with a horn on its forehead pokes its head out of the water.
"Hey, what's this Pokemon, Double-D?" asked Ed. Edd spots the Pokemon and points the Rotom Pokedex at it.
"Seel, the Sea Lion Pokemon. Thanks to its thick fat, cold seas don't bother it at all, but it gets tired pretty easily in warm waters." said the Rotom Pokedex.
"Ed, Seel's a water type, you should try catching it." said Edd.
"Yeah!" said Ed and he quickly pulls a pokeball out of his pocket. "Flaaffy, come out!" He throws Flaaffy's pokeball and releases her. "Flaaffy, use Charge!" Flaaffy becomes surrounded by electricity and her special defense increases. Seel releases a strong wind with sparkling blue snow, and it hits Flaaffy, but not doing much damage due to her increased defense.
"I think that was Icy Wind, Ed." said Edd.
"Flaaffy, Thunder Shock!" said Ed. Flaaffy releases electricity from her body and it hits Seel, doing massive damage due to electric attacks being strong against water Pokemon and Charge powering up Flaaffy's electric attack. Seel floats in the water, struggling to move. Ed takes a Dive Ball out of his pocket and throws it at Seel. It hits Seel and sucks it in. After it wiggled around a few times before it clicks and stops, indicating Seel's capture. "Yay! I caught a Seel!"
"Good work, Ed." said Eddy. Seel's Dive Ball vanishes and is transported to storage due to Ed already having six Pokemon with him.
"I will help you transfer your Seel in exchange for another of your Pokemon the next time we're in a Pokemon Center." said Edd.
"Thanks, Double-D." said Ed. Edd uses the Rotom Pokedex to learn more about Ed's new Seel.
"According to this, your Seel is female, she knows Headbutt, Growl, Water Sport, Icy Wind, Encore, and Ice Shard." said Edd. "She has the Thick Fat ability, which halves damage caused by fire and ice type attacks."
"Cool." said Ed. The group then rides Lapras to the edge of the water and climb off it. After returning Lapras to the Ride Pager pokeball, they began walking down the path down Seaward Cave. They walked down the path until they reached an entrance. They walk through it and saw themselves in a large area of water enclosed by rocks that had two small islands and a bigger one with a grassy area on it.
"Will you look at this place?" said Eddy.
"It looks so peaceful." said Jimmy.
"Let's explore this place." said Sarah.
"Okay." said Ed as he releases the Ride Lapras and they climb onto it. They rode Lapras to one of the islands. They climb off Lapras and looked around the island. Edd looks into a shallow hole on the island and sees a Star Piece in it.
"I found a Star Piece." said Edd as he grabs the Star Piece out of the hole. "With this, I will acquire pokedollars for more supplies needed for our journey." After looking around the island, but not finding much, they returned to Lapras and rode to the large island. Once they reached the beach of the island, they climbed off Lapras and looked around the grassy area for Pokemon. Jimmy then comes across a blue, bipedal Pokemon with gray ridges on its head.
"Double-D, what this Pokemon?" asked Jimmy. Edd takes the Rotom Pokedex out of his backpack and points it at the Pokemon.
"Bagon, the Rock Head Pokemon. Some theories suggest that its behavior of forcefully bashing its head into things stimulates cells that affect its evolution." said the Rotom Pokedex. Jimmy pulls a pokeball out of his pocket.
"Let's see how a rock head Pokemon deals with a rock Pokemon." said Jimmy as he throws a pokeball and releases Rockruff. "Okay, Rockruff, Howl!" Rockruff lets out a howl and his attack strength increases. Bagon opens its mouth and releases a white beam from it, and it hits Rockruff, making him step back. "Use Bite!" Rockruff runs at Bagon and bites its arm, dealing more damage due to Rockruff's attack strength being increased. Bite also made Bagon flinch. "Now use Rock Tomb!" Gray rocks form around Rockruff and they fly at Bagon, hitting it, and pinning it to the ground. Jimmy pulls an empty pokeball out of his backpack and throws it at Bagon, hitting it and sucking it in. After it wiggled around a few times, it clicks, indicating Bagon's capture. "Yippee! I caught Bagon!"
"Good work, Jimmy." said Ed. Bagon's pokeball is transferred to storage. Jimmy looks at Rockruff.
"I'm so proud of you, Rockruff." said Jimmy. Rockruff pants happily while wagging his tail when he suddenly freezes and begins to glow. "Rockruff's evolving!" They watched as Rockruff began to change shape and grow. When the glowing stopped, Rockruff now resembled a wolf with a white face and mane that had four, long, dark brown rocks sticking out of it. Edd points the Rotom Pokedex at the newly evolved Rockruff.
"Lycanroc Midday Form, the Wolf Pokemon and the evolved form of Rockruff. The rocks in its mane are sharper than a knife. Fragments that break off are treasured as good luck charms." said the Rotom Pokedex.
"Congratulations, Lycanroc." said Jimmy. Lycanrock walks to Jimmy and licks his face, making him giggle. Edd looks at the Rotom Pokedex.
"And it seems upon evolving, he learned Accelerock." said Edd. He then uses the Rotom Pokedex to learn about Jimmy's new Bagon. "It says your Bagon's a boy, he knows Rage, Ember, Leer, Bite, and Dragon Breath. He has the Rock Head ability which prevents him from recieving recoil damage from attacks that causes them." Jimmy pats Lycanroc's head. The group spent most of the day fishing for Pokemon. Although they didn't find any, Ed, Eddy, Sarah, and Jimmy were able to fish up Big Pearls. They soon decided they spent enough time on Kala's Bay and decided to head back to Akala Island so they do the rest of the trials there. An hour later after stopping by the Pokemon Center near the Trainer School so the group can sell the valubale items they found for pokedollars, each buying two pokeballs, as well as Ed exchanging his Yungoos for his new Seel, the group were surfing on Mantines towards Akala Island so they can continue their journey there.
