Chapter 4: The One With The Idiot Jock
I hope this is good, you may have noticed that with this fanfic I have tried to make it somewhat realistic (e.g. not having Annabeth beat someone up for asking her out once) but with this chapter (and the last) it is the main stereotype of this sort of fanfic. (And this entire note has sounded really big headed, sorry)
Hello I'm Mick Smith , well my actual name is Mickey but that doesn't sound cool - and I am the epitome of cool - so I shortened it to Mick sounds like a really cool name. I am the coolest man at my school, and that means that I get the hottest woman and that woman is Annabeth (sorry this is completely unrelated to the story but he is really reminding me of Gaston from Beauty and the Beast) Annabeth is seriously beautiful. The only problem is that she keeps saying no, I mean I love it when a chick plays hard to get but Annabeth is pushing it to far I'm going to ask her out today and if she says no I'll make her jealous. Yep, that sounds like a good plan.
"Annie babe, you, me dinner at seven? See you then" I say to her after I get to school and see her in the corridors.
"Mickey, for the last time I'm not going out with you I have a boyfriend." She says."Annie babe, you don't need to pretend to me. I know you're crazy about me, just forget about you useless boyfriend." I said smiling at her.
She closed her eyes and took a deep breath before saying "Mickey could you just leave me alone."
It's sweet how hard she is pretending to to love me but this has gone on long enough, time to make her jealous. I turn to her friend and charmingly say "Hello, what's your name?"
"Penelope,"
"Well hello Penelope, do you fancy dinner at seven with me?"
For some reason she looks slightly disgusted and said "Your asking me to dinner at the exact same time you just asked Annabeth, way to make a girl feel special. You disgust me, you asked Annabeth out every day for five months even though she clearly isn't interested, and now when you finally get bored of her you turn to me and ask me out. It's not even like your even mildly attractive,"
I blush and bolt out of the corridor into my class.
This one doesn't have Percy in it I hope it's good, I'm not certain about it but I really like Penelope and the next chapter might just me from her point of view. Have a nice day.
